Thank God he is recovering. I wish him well. |
duchez:Really I don't think so. I drove past his house this morning, but I noticed plenty peacocks flying out from his gate I was like what?? Maybe it is part of the weeding. |
Wow finally the chapter closes. Eiya sorry for Gbemiga but God of 2nd, 3rd chance will make him find another if this was real life. The moral and lesson in this story is let us not throw away the chance God brings into our life because of pleasing our family. Also Bukky and Chike are great, wonderful, characters. I wonder how of such kind of people we have now. Thanks SheWrites |

Lol hahahaha. That's great. I never liked the guy but I began to see the other side of him. For the movie, the characters will be carefully selected lol!!!! |
Favour155:Like I said I might be wrong on my assumptions. You may be right, but still, let's wait and see. |
Shewrite my first time of reading anything on Nairaland Literature, never before till this story was put on front page. Intact I don't read novels only motivation, business development and inspirational books. I have to say, I have never ever come across a story this good. You are indeed greatly talented. Have you thought about publishing this particular Bukky story?? I also think this story can be turned into a very good movie. Getting the right characters for Bukky, Gbemiga Chike etc. It can turn to blockbuster if well packaged. I might be interested in turning this story into a movie. I will send you message to your facebook page. I already follow you on Facebook. Concerning this work: I think this story is about Bukky and Gbemiga not Chike. Bukky is the helper ordained for Gbemiga. There destinies are intertwined and they are made for each other....that is what I think. I never liked Gbemiga but after reading the last two chapters I came to that understanding. I may be wrong though. But SheWrites you are Genius in the making. Keep it up |
Jman06:You know Bro, it took me years to understand that the best thing to happen to any young man is to marry during his down times. I lost all I had, lost millions in a bad deal. I was miserable, got jilted by the babe who was doing lovey dovey before. That was the best moment of my life, because it revealed me to myself, it showed me the true color of women. It helped me remove the chaffs from my life. That is why I tell young men, the best time to get a mate is your down time. Yes. The woman that stick by you during your down time, you must make your queen. I am so sorry for men that marry when the going is good, because life is not always up, when it is down, then they will know the nature of that woman that was confessing all the love for you, when you dey sample am, because money dey. Wait till things turn down, she will show you her through nature. The biggest bane to many young men is that because of present success they go for women that satisfy their sensual and lustful cravings, while neglecting the most important quality: Character. In the end they will get burnt by their decision, which may be too late, bring misery, or even heart attack if care is not taking. Young men if you are down now, it is a blessing in disguise, use it find that woman that accepts your condition, stick with her, commit to her. Another advice to young men, enjoy everyday of your life whether money dey or not. Be thankful to God for the gift of life. Try as much as possible to catch fun out of life whether money dey or not. Don't worship material things, live a very simple life. If you begin to make money save and invest especially in appreciating assets like land, properties, mutual funds, stocks, and even other businesses. Don't waste money to impress women. If possible hide your money, don't live flamboyant life. It will save you from strange women, read Proverbs 5. Proverbs 31 from 10. When dating look for a woman with good character that is your licence to peace. |
NwaAmaikpe:Story keep on deceiving yourself. There is nothing to compare with top notch quality education. I am talking from experience, tasted both our dilapidated, obsolete university system here and then tasted foreign own and the difference is like light and darkness. The only thing you can tell me is that experiencing the bad will make you appreciate and greatly value the good when you get it. That's all I no know say na Nwamaikpe I dey quote hahahha Bros eh I no sabi wetin to call you sef |
Personally modern day educated women are more of this number not married. Also there a lot of men late 30s not married mostly because of poor economic condition. For the women it has more to do with attitude and modern mindset. All through history women are meant to be subservient, sub missive and obedient to men. Even this trend was also prevalent in our parents days. But fast forward to today, education, job, modernisation has seen a lot of Women challenging that status quo of Men being in charge. Their attitude to men's leadership feeling they are equal to Men. But fight it as it may be Men are still leaders that is the way nature made it. But you find that women that understand their role still end up getting married, and building great homes. Like I always advice my younger ones, once you are 21, begin to be ready for marriage, pray about it, that God will enable them to find a good man and get married and use that their young feminine features to produce offspring for their husband. Also other factors like upbringing matters a lot. I will give example from my immediate family. My mum had 5 girls. My Mum was a career woman in health she retired as a Director in Govt parastatal. But with her career she was loyal to her husband my Dad. She also raised her daughters that way: build your career but also be loyal, respectful and obedient to your husband. All my sisters are graduates( 2 are Doctors, 1 is a manager in a leading telecom Company in VI Lagos) our last born a girl is in 3rd year in uni. Those my 3 sisters are married with kids, there age is BTW the ages of 36 to 28 presently. They have good homes, there husbands don't play with them. Though they still encounter challenges because no marriage is a bed of roses but it all about working on it. My sister the one that is 36 has a lot of her mates ladies that are still not married while she is already done with childbirth, a fledging career and a good home. women are not like men, women blossom from their teens to 25/26 that is the best window to pray and find a man to use all those your blossom and bear children for him as a wife. The scary thing now is that the age window is even dropping down. Most guys now because of these modern attitudes are now even going for younger women of early 20 21 22 23 24 that will listen and be loyal to them. Young women must be very wise and understand the trends today: therefore should get education, be career wise but still know you must be loyal, submit and be obedient to a husbad, therefore praying for define guidance to end up with a good man |
Ngozi123:My Sister this independence our people are talking about, have you people really though I true. Do you people think Nigeria will even agree to allow Igbos to form their own Country easily like that? What about our neighbours Niger Delta, don't you see they will still be pa of Nigeria? Do you just want to form a nation that is only Igbos? Does a tree make a forest? There are other many questions that time will not allow me to state. Honestl I think this Biafra quest is just a pipe dream. Nnamdi Kanu is just leading our people to ethnic cleansing. We should not let history repeat itself. Nigeria may have not perfect for us with many issues but I think being in Nigeria favours us. Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, Ijaw, Tiv, etc pulling resources together will favour us more than being a lone ranger. We all should learn to shun our differences and work together as children from one God. I have stated my own mind |
Acidosis:What kind of reasoning dey that your brain? How can you compare' Evans a bloody, wicked and evil criminal to this ignorant young girl that has never committed crime before. Your line of reasoning is very very shallow, Base, backward and foolish. |
SmartyPants:Thanks for teaching him sense. The problem with many is shallow brain. The young man was saying He made it despite all odds. The money that dude is making in a week some of this poverty stricken low life's cannot make it in their entire lifetime. This his story was exact thing that happened to mark zuckerberg, other girls he tired to date were calling him loser, but a very smart Chinese girl medical student in Yale University saw beyond all that and stuck to Mark. When the guy blew up he kukuma marry the girl fast fast. I know more than 10 cases like this that this same scenario happened, they rejected very broke boys but today those broke guys made it big. One I personally know today lives in Banana island, the other one an LNG oil top shot. The moral of the story never under estimate any man be it even a gate man, you never know there destiny is greatness. Don't look at the present, be diligent and hard working but even that greatness is not even about hustling or hard work, na God's favour, God lifts up one and denotes others especially the proud people. |
Ighoga898:There is sense in what he is saying. Do you know that those who live only for themselves without sharing what they have :are lowest of humans in the spirit realm. Those that share their riches with the needy, help those in need, stand for the poor, less privileged and the down trodden are great beings in the spirit realm. And mind you the spirit realm is higher than this earth realm, and only few humans reach that. The men I still revere that gave there all for the masses in the history of this nation are Gani Fawehmi, fela, wole soyinka, every other persons na just follow come |
Toks2008:True it can be very devastating. Happened to me as a single. But I personally think it is more on individual or personality basis. Some independent women may even be worst. But honestly it hurts and can be very devastating when someone telling you lovey attitude when things were fine turn into something else. |
solelymade:It is because of no knowledge. One was comparing South Korea a global industrial giant to Libya a petro based war torn economy. Many here do not have basic economic knowledge. If Nigeria can get her power infrastructure right and focus on improving the manufacturing sector, lower currency will favour the country because it will make her goods cheaper thereby boosting exports |
The truth is that marriage these days is becoming something else. Moral values has dropped so low. To find a good woman now you will have to seek and search, and if God has mercy on you to find one. There are still good women out there, if God favours you, then you will find because the best thing that can happen to a man is to find and marry a good woman. But on the other hand the man must also value the woman because I have seen occasions where men are married to good women but does not value them. |
Eiyaa bro kai you really contaminated your destiny. All the job you were losing was bcs she was a poluter of your destiny. Kai I don't know why soft, gentle men always end up with this type of women, that is how one nice brother I know ended up marrying a jezebel that ruined him, born some kids for him and later left her children to be doing runs babe in Abuja. My brother you need to seek God in prayers, distance yourself from her, get your soul back, get your head cleared, seek and get job. If she born, make sure you provide for your child. That is why young men has to be careful, be prayerful, stop sleeping around. Most especially those that have it going for them, the evil forces will always want to contaminate their precious destiny by planting evil mates in their life. |
Happy bday the koko master himself!!!!! |
Honestly all I see is chaos and instability in all of this. This has taken another dimension. Never have we seen, the type of things am seeing. Let me be watching, as things unfold. Maybe it is to do like Abraham when God told him to leave his people and go to another land. Maybe relocate to another African country, settle there with my family for all generations. Maybe because this is how ethnic cleansing starts. It is indeed very sad. Never even supported Kanus rant and ideology but his deeds will affect every Igbo Man. Just Maybe |
A man came with a serious warning and people are here clamouring for war. Do people really understand what war entails. My Mum will always say that it is only those who never saw war calls for war. I only blame irresponsible/ vision less leadership that has pervaded this nation till date. The British gave us Nigeria, true the union has been so imperfect, but breaking up Nigeria will be a very huge disaster. We must just learn to live with one another. Honestly. If war breaks out in Nigeria, everybody will be affected, intact anarchy, lawlessness, and chaos will be order of the day. People must be warned. Security agencies must be alert, the Acting president must be firm and bring any erring group to order, this is no time for ethnic bias all true patriots from East, West, North and South must stand up or the repercussion of keeping quiet will be too dangerous. Mind you I am a full blooded nwafor Igbo, I know what my Father and Mother told me about the war, it was terrible and like the Igbo says okenye aga ano nu uno ewu amuo Na ogbuli. Meaning an adult won't be at home and allow a goat to give birth tied to a rope. What we need in Nigeria is visionary leader, devoid of partiality and able to carry everybody along not a divisive or sectional leadership. I rest my case |
Humanity has always believed lies from time immemorial. Marriage is a good thing. If you go on believing that marriage is rubbish you will end up getting that but if you believe that no matter what is going on around you, that you will have a good marriage, you will get that. Many people out there are still enjoying good marriages with lovely husbands and wives. So chose wisely and act the same. Thanks |
Bro your wife is still seriously immature, a student, never worked, you are carrying the whole financial baggage. You have to really develop plenty patience for her because you will need it. In fact you have a long way to go. The solution is first, be patient with her, on the other hand find ways to begin to train, develop and coach her to become responsible(depends on her willingness). And you need serious wisdom for this. I can see you invoking Gods name so ask and pray for God to give you wisdom to handle her. |
I wonder why people will be bothered with this issue. Cooking is the work of a woman, and good food oo. How can I make all the money and you cant give me a decent meal. Mbanu. There should be no long debate about it. My own once my food is served, if it is not tasty, I complain immediately. My mother had 5 girls, 2 are Doctors and all are excellent cooks. All married and well settled in their husbands homes. @tonye dont worry about the so called feminists. My advice to young men is this; while dating make sure you exert your authority as a man very well, the one that accepts it, you can make your wife. Although you must still be soft on her. Thats how I operate, make sure your authority is never questioned, be firm, but also be soft on her, like carrot and stick approach, and you are good to go. Although sometimes I like eating out, so we do hang out in some real good restaurants mostly foreign cuisine chinese, italian, lebanese etc. |
tammie24:And most times those possibilities never materialize. I am talking from experience as a man with more advantages talk less of you a woman that looses physical features within a shorter time frame. |
jusRadical:The guy is right, most guys in there 30s go for younger women in their 20s. I am a man and I can attest to that. |
Marxxx:the guy was right with what HE said. Most guys in their 30s never marry their mates, they rather go for younger women in their 20s. Women gets older quickly, so most guys go for younger women. |
Saving the fx to attract foreign investors. But most of these foreign investors are short term, hot money guys, that will sharply sell off and take leave when there are challenges in the economy. what governments in Nigeria should do is to Chanel a lot of fx into developing critical infrastructures key to our developments in power, roads, education, agriculture etc, if we are really serious as a nation. CBN saved during obj what happened to the money ?the key is to simply develop our infrastructures, cut down on recurrent expenditure. It is only in Nigeria that indolent people who do nothing are paid at the end of the month. True we should have money in our foreign reserve, but the on the under hand we need total overhaul of our infrastructures. This is the model used by counties that have recorded massive success like Dubai, Singapore, Malaysia etc. develop your infrastructure, develop your citizens to become up to date and even aspire to go ahead of some leading nations. simple. I think only Lagos State has an impressive cut out visionary plan kudos to jagaban and subsequent governors, and that is why Lagos is the only working thing and success story in Nigeria. |
flaky66:don't mind that dude, Eric is with God... am sure. I attend the same church with him. He ministered in the Kirikiri Medium Prison in songs during an outreach we organised last years August for the prisoners. His ministration really touched the prisoners and i remember Jesus told us in the scripture ....I was in the prison and you visited me. In fact that outreach day in the prison we sat together and He was lecturing me on how to impact a crowd when you minister to them. He lived short but touched lives, especially during song ministrations in church. It is not how long you live but what impact you made, lives you touched and affected during your sojourn on earth. RIP Brother!!!! |
people talking about fine. when you get more advanced in life, and have there and done that. then you will understand that beauty has nothing to do with outward looks but all about inward beauty, or very good character. |
the op said well and @saint gave him a good reply. Actually the church has tried but I believe God is laying in the heart of his people like op and I personally think a great generation of believers will begin to emerge that will totally shift the economic power of this nation and Africa. Let me give personal example. I have been experiencing some unusual understanding and prompting in my walk. Due to the present economic situation, I was challenged financially, but I began to be divinely prompted. For example there was a very crucial project that I needed to achieve, in fact it was a must. The money I had was like 2% of the whole deal. But I felt the Lord prompting me to go on with the project. Do you know to my greatest shock as i commenced and stepped out money began to appear and I completed that project fully with a less budget. A month later the church cell group I lead commenced a community based project and I was like in this period of recession, but I had a nudge within me not to worry. Again to my shock we finished the project with surplus money remaining and at a tight budget. why am I narrating this story, these two issue made me to begin to understand that recession has no hold on Gods people that have developed that understanding. The truth behind this is that Christians are meant to walk by faith. In Romans 1 vs 17 it said the just shall live by faith, the same in Habakuk 2. why am I talking faith, and I mean action based faith. Without faith, you can never achieve anything. Even most of the successful business men you see today who are not even Christians also have faith, but they believe in their own human ability and it works for them because man was made in the image and likeness of God, though Adam fell, but humans still retained some of those Godlike abilities, that is why man has built great things like planes rockets, structures etc This were achieved by just men that believed in themselves, how much more those in dwelt by God himself, how much more can they do. It is because of not trusting in God, and stepping out practically to begin to do those things and people will be amazed what they can achieve. Let me retreat it again, not having money is not an excuse at all, to achieve and be what ever God has deposited or put in us. USe the resources you have now, step out, be practical and you will be amazed at how things will be achieved. |
This is no news to me. The only thing called for is more concerted effort in garnering resources to develop South East. People should always remember that adversity is always a sign of blessing if well used. And when someone marginalizes you, it shows that he is afraid of your potential. Another blessing for this news is it will make Igbo leaders to really look themselves in the face, and come out with better plans on how to develop and integrate the entire South East region. Leaders that are not slaves to Abuja but leaders that will harness and maximize the resources available in South East. I have been asking where is the development master plan for South East? if there is a master plan, ways to fund it can be many without even the Federal Government. Foreign Investors, International financial Institutions, and even Igbos in Diaspora funds are all options to fund it. But first a holistic, comprehensive, inclusive and complete master plan must be developed. when I am talking of master plan will include modern and sophisticated infrastructures, and also human resources development infrastructures. As for Nigeria the modern world is quickly moving away from her at an alarming speed, while those in Abuja will keep playing politics and toying with the destinies of the upcoming generation. When I see the massive capacities of development going on in major areas of this our world and then come back to Nigeria and see the insignificant things we are doing and patting ourselves at the back, I shake my head. A moribund Financial, Manufacturing, Academic, Infrastructural, Technological system I shake my head. In conclusion let me say that the Igbo man has all what it takes to develop herself and her region in abundance, all they need to do is more soul searching. It is not yet dark, now is still daylight, find the black goat now that the day is bright. The race is just starting. Thanks and God bless all. |
