FamilyRe: A Frustrated Woman by djon78(m): 3:01pm On Oct 26, 2016
THERE ARE A LOT OF WRONG ADVICE ON THIS ISSUE.

I AM COMMENTING AS A MAN; THAT GUY WILL COME AROUND. Maamaa MENTIONED THE GUY SAYING SHE IS WIFE MATERIAL AND THAT HE WILL REGRET IF HE DOESNT MARRY HER.

THE GUY IS STILL A BIT IMMATURE, HE WILL LATER COME TO REALIZE THE BLESSING HE HAS IN THIS WOMAN.
YOU ON YOUR PART GIVE HIM SPACE, DONT NAG HIM, LEARN TO GROW UP, ALTHOUGH YOU ARE MERELY ACTING YOUR AGE. IN FACT BOTH OF YOU ARE NOT WELL MATURED, BUT IF YOU BOTH CAN STICK IT TOGETHER FOR SOMETIME YOU WILL CROSS THIS TURBULENT TIMES.

I REMEMBER RECENTLY READING A PHILOSOPHICAL BOOK, AND I CAME ACROSS THE STORY OF GREEK PHILOSOPHER SOCRATES AND HIS WIFE, THE WIFE WAS JUST NAGGING HIM. THE POINT THAT WAS EMPHASIZED FROM THAT BOOK WAS THAT WHEN COUPLES HAVE ISSUES, QUARRELS, THAT EACH PARTY MUST FIRST GET RIGHT OR AMEND HIS OR HER OWN WAYS OR EACH PERSONS CONTRIBUTION TO THE ISSUE. ONCE IT IS DONE BY ONE PERSON THE OTHER WITH TIME WILL CHANGE.

SO JUST WORK ON YOUR PART IN THE ISSUE, GIVE HIM PEACE, SPACE, AND FIND WAYS TO LOVE HIM, YOU WILL SEE HE WILL TURN AROUND. DONT MIND THOSE TELLING YOU TO LEAVE AND BE A SINGLE MOTHER, SOME OF THEM HAVE NEVER BEEN IN A REASONABLE RELATIONSHIP BEFORE.

LIKE I SAID JUST DO YOUR PART, FIND WAYS TO LOVE HIM, DONT NAG, GIVE HIM SPACE, FIND WAYS TO ADD VALUE TO HIS LIFE ESPECIALLY IN THE AREA OF HIS HANDLING MONEY, AND YOU WILL BE SURPRISED HE WILL JUST TURN AROUND.
FamilyRe: How A Frustrated Man Fixed His Sexless Marriage (By Becoming An Asshole). by djon78(m): 3:14pm On Oct 25, 2016
I think this resonates with one philosophical book I came across concerning Socrates and His wife. Whenever there is an issue in a marriage each partner should first fix their own side of the bargain or first work on themselves. If they do that, the problem will be easily resolved.

The guy simply worked on himself and his value quadrupled before his wife, and she had no other excuse but to succumb and give in. So each one of us must work hard on our person, our looks, dress sense, mental capacity, attitude. When we do every other thing will fall in line.

She advised my aunt to send her back to naija if she doesnt want to lose her son. It was painful for my aunt because he was her only child. but they brought him back. he did js1 to js3 in Enugu. he was floged very well. they used to call him Americana then in his school because of his accent. he has gone back to US and behaves very sensibly now.

they should send her to naija for 3 yrs make she come suffer and taste the other side of life, with that she will be wiser in llife.

FamilyRe: Do You Really Love The Person You Married? by djon78(m): 5:02pm On Oct 06, 2016
Because people think life is just easy, no obstacles or challenges. But that is a lie. People need to understand that stuffs happen, challenges come, but they must make up their mind to be committed to whomever they are married to except in life threatening issues.

Many people go along with wanting out once they notice an issue. what about sticking through it. In fact what I am understanding about marriage now is that if you can really stick to your partner, whether the storm together, this will make your marriage foundation strong, and over the years, you will be happy you did.

God is your strength, He will see you through this trying times. And this will really be a true test of the love between you and your wifee.

For many of those in relationships and marriage, this period will be an eye opener, because lets be honest things are really scary, most especially for salaried workers. Only those that will survive are those who planned ahead by having a business by the side. I remember far back 2014, in a church cell meeting, I was advising those that were working to ensure they have a business by he side they attend to on Saturdays and public holidays, that it will enable them to learn how to run business, that it was dangerous to not do so.
And truthfully running business is in fact not easy, I have been doing so since 6 years ago, made quite some mistakes, lost millions, saw hell, but it made me stronger, tougher, wiser and also huge experience and learning curve.

Anyway they may look for another job or maybe start a business, but whatever my heart goes out to them and I pray they succede. Amen

Great piece very good for we entrepreneurs. Learnt a lot from the article like;

Reading between the lines before going into any contract with anybody

Study those who wants to invest into your business very well

Never ever because of a morsel of bread, or temporal gratification sign away your life's work, it is better to endure the hunger and ensure you get the best deal. I remember John Maxwell in one of his books said that head or tail, the guy with idea is by far better than the guy with money, and this issue is so much prevalent in Nigeria. That is why entrepreneurs must shine their eyes well.

The issue concerning banks is a no no for me. Getting your funds from Nigerian banks via debt in Nigeria is very terrible. People say 25% to 30% interest, but that is a big lie, some of the banks hide so much charges under that by the time you are done, the interest is almost 40%.

Government support is terrible in the nation. The Government is talking about diversification but they don't know that supporting local entrepreneurs with the right policies will add huge value to the economy. They really need to wake up to their duty.

It has been a good lesson learnt, doing business in the nation is very challenging, but I want to encourage those entrepreneurs out there trying to make a difference to never give up, to keep on striving, to keep on improving there processes and capabilities, to keep on striving despite the huge challenges, for as long as they try, they will one day break the ceiling, succeed against all odds and encourage those coming behind them, that they too can make it.

I have read a lot of comments before making mine.

Jonathan did a lot of wrong things, but the reason why Nigerians economy was better off was not really about the oil earnings, it was simply because of the high number of technocrats he had in his administration; Okonjo Iweala, Akinwunmi Adesina, Olusegun Aganga etc.

This present administrations biggest problem is dearth or small number or even no technocrats in her supply. IN addition, majority of Jonathan's technocrats where coming from outside the country, with lots of experiences from having worked in foreign institutions, so they had a full grasp of the entire situation.

Why I mentioned technocrats with foreign experience is because these are the people Nigeria needs presently to turn around her fortunes. Nigeria as a nation is so disconnected from the global economy and markets,Nigeria has so much opportunity still going for her, if Nigeria gets her act right, she can spring up to become a big major economy in the world within a space of a decade or 2. But for Nigeria to transform a lot of bureaucracy, fat cats, redundancy must give way. We must get the best of the best to run our systems, not mediocre, ignorant and half baked individuals.
We are in an era in the world where knowledge reins supreme, therefore we as a nation have no reason dealing with super ignorant folks running our system. Time is ticking, we must get it right, because if we fail as a nation, a time will come when other parts of the world may not even tolerate us anymore. There is so much going for this nation, a word is enough for the wise.

We as a nation must seek for the best form of knowledge out there, we must completely overhaul our education and economic system, I will say it again, we need to get the best of the best, because those we have now have never really handled massive, complex task before and then they think they can handle the precarious situation the nation is in now. I rest my case.

Thanks

Pavore9:
But many men assume wrongly that once you are financially comfortable getting a wife is easier, only to realise their folly afterwards because a wife is not just any woman!
In fact I think a man with money has less chance of finding a true wife. I have seen many cases where the man was well to do, had a lavish wedding, after some years and with child, financial storm came, he lost all, and guess what, he could not believe that the so called wife turned into a devil, messed him up, they later had a terrible divorce.
Another guy was fortunate, he said it was when he lost his well, high paying job for 5 years he knew that he had a treasure of a wife. She was working, and end of the month, when she brings back her salary, she will give every thing to him, so that he will decide how they will use it. Some days she will wake him in the middle of the night, that she had a bad dream about him, and she will start comforting him that e go better. the guy said if not for his wife, he was on the brink of suicide.

Many young people have never understood this life, crisis will always come, especially financial ones, woe betide you if you married the wrong woman, your eye go clear, because the misery will be much, but if you got the right one you will enjoy.

also I think it is wise for guys not to use money in begging a woman when it comes to finding wife. If you front money, you may never know her true nature. dont be stingy, but sometimes withhold it to test her, although some sharp ones can decode, but all na God.

for me I think we need a balance in this issue, women are to submit to their husbands while the men are supposed to love their wives so much.
But in our societies today the women are not submitting, the men on the other hand are not loving. This scenario has led to so much issues and problems in today's marriages.
Moreover the issue of feminism has done so much harm to our society today, although the feminism debacle was also inflamed by a lot of heartless men. Many women today are very stubborn, that is why Men before going into marriage must ensure that the man in question has the capacity to love their woman very much and at the same time ensure they marry a woman that has the capacity to obey, submit and respect them.
This way the marriage will be less prone to crisis.

Then as a Christian let me explain the correct approach or model for Christian marriages based on studies I did from the scripture. I will quote my text from Ephesians chapter 5

22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

The wife should submit to the husband

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

The husband should love the wife as Christ love the Church and gave himself to it

verse 26 to 29 tells us how

26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

note what verse 26 and 27 stated that Christ sanctified and cleansed the Church which in marriage context your wife is not perfect, she has issues but you are meant to learn to correct her in love that is what it means by cleansing her , it means overlooking her weaknesses, loving her, finding the right way to correct her in love

28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

verse 28 and 29 even went on to say that loving your wife is like loving your own body, you wash your body, give it good delicious food when it is hungry that is the same way you are supposed to love your wife. look at those two words nourish and cherish, to nourish means to provide with the right nutrient, that is the way you handle your woman, provide for her, take good care of her, lavish her with love and care, in fact take care of her needs before your own needs, even in bed, then cherish her, place a great value on her

St Paul to me was one of the most intelligent men that ever walked this earth, his level of deep thinking was too much.
then look at what verse 32 said This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

what St Paul was implying here was that marriage is even less mystery compared to the deep mystery between Christ and the church, he was showing that the main thing was even the love relationship btw Christ and the Church. Many people dont understand this and may not understand it till they leave this earth The Lord Jesus Christ so much loved the Church or body of believers, also many dont also understand that God is love, the Greatest attribute of God is love, we humans dont even know what love is all about, we think love is just sexual feeling, no love is so much deeper than that, why many people will be crying when they die is that then they will realize how much God loved them but they never surrenders to Him. The whole essence of marriage is love.let me finally define love from !1 Corinthians 13, another classic by St Paul

New Living Translation (NLT)

4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

Thanks and God bless you all

many folks always talk about love like they really know what love is really. love is all about commitment, patience, being really good and very considerate and putting your partner first. These are the qualities that shows real love in a relationship, and this lasts for long, almost a lifetime, and not some woshy feeling in the belly. Partners with those listed qualities will have a love filled marriage over time, as long as those qualities do exist.

FFK highlighted some pointers like the present economic crisis hitting this nation, which to me is the biggest threat to this nation. Fulani herdsmen may be murderous and dangerous, but the biggest problem facing Nigeria presently is a dangerous economy, because for over 4 decades the economy was not diversified, every of her sector from petroleum refining, to agric, power, infrastructure, health, education were dead and moribund. Most Nigerian youths dont even understand what this nation is about facing. So lets quit all these war mongering and focus on the main danger facing this nation.

@barcanista got it spot on. The government need to fix the manufacturing sector, power sector to encourage local production with quality control in check. also they are to place serious high import tariff/tax on a lot of imported goods. When I came back to Nigeria in 2011 my heart was bleeding because of most especially expensive premium cars/suvs i saw on Nigerian roads, I told on of my associates that if I was the president, I will place like 200 to 300% import tax on all those cars and then encourage local production. That is how it is done in other climes. The kind of capital flight we experience in this nation is too much, our people have uncontrollable cravings for foreign goods and it needs to be curbed. And I am in full support of this present govt on any measure they need to adopt to stop this maddness.

One thing I do know is that things will never be the same again. We are entering a new era in Nigeria where criminals, get rich quick scheme and overnight millionaires the system cannot support them again. We are coming to an era where those that work hard are rewarded, because true lasting wealth is built by hard work, diligence, and perseverance, and this is the foundation of building great nations. The former ways of doing things was a very bad and unhealthy foundation. And hate Buhari as much as you like, I think he is the man that can really shift our focus from all those unhealthy, destructive ways towards the right path of economic renaissance.

Nigeria still has a chance, she still has a lot going for her most especially her vast, untapped human resources both at home and abroad. If she can get it right, she can turn to a global leader in decades to come. But first of all, we must overhaul the faulty foundation. thanks.

Innoson just need to continue doing what he is doing, improving and upgrading his processes to match the big global manufacturers and even aim to exceed them. He should also focus on breaking into other African nations markets like kenya, SA, angola, Ghana etc via exports. The future is bright for him, he will definitely go places. PoliticsRe: Oil Crash: Nigeria Producing At $5 Per Barrel Loss by djon78(m): 1:49pm On Jan 26, 2016
I am envisaging the direction energy business will go in the future. It will be more on adding value then market compared to direct selling of the crude that is done now. In addition total efficiency across the value chain or in another word integration of both the upstream and downstream sector into one entity.

personally I think that those in government must understand that the only thing that will save Nigeria in this present time is total elimination of wastage in the oil industry. when I mean wastage, I mean both theft, incompetence, and inefficiency. Moreover those that have no business being in the oil sector should be removed, because many in that sector have no business being there except because of godfather-ism and nepotism.

Final word, there was never plans by successive governments to diversify. while other OPEC member nations were diversifying and investing, especially the Arab gulf states(Saudi Arabia saved over $750 billion that can last them next 20 years without selling, Dubai diversified into services and real estate, Abu dhabi and Qatar diversified into investments across the globe). Our leaders must understand the dilemma and precarious situation facing this nation at the moment and rise to the task before things go out of hand.

very sound analysis bro. this present predicament should be a great life's tutorship to each and everyone of us.
Nigeria need total overhaul of her economic system. one of the things i noticed is that our economy is not really participating or integrated into the global economy. the government need to come out with strategies that will integrate us into the global economy. also the government must prioritize that almost all the money that comes in should be channeled to infrastructure especially power. once our power capacity is improved, it will enable the industrial capacity to take off. also I believe our educational system must be totally overhauled systematically, because for Nigeria to develop and be a big player in the global economy, we must have sophisticated educational system, not what we have now.

And you are so organised, the fights for Biafra and Igbo presidency hit their peak at the same time (every 4 years around election time).

Anthropologically, a measure of the degree of civilization of societies or ethnic groups was the size of the political units into which they could form themselves.

Now the Igbos never could make it beyond the clan level. So whereas they had no Igbo wars against other people (the Igbo nation politically did not exist) they had inter clan wars (because the clans politically existed) .

When these clans went to war, they banded up to form a unit, a band of clan fighters.

That is why you imagine others were a band of "clanish" fighters.

The sheer might of the military of other ancient nations that were, is beyond the grasp of your mind either because such a display of organised might is alien to you or, simply because it hurts you to know that others where that advanced and you were not.
Advanced in which way? The main problem with most blacks is complete ignorance. Tell me one black tribe in Africa that had its own written language? I think that the governments move against Radio Biafra is coming rather late and giving it all the publicity they never had.

I am not one of those who fool themselves that Biafra will not be realised one day. History has it that those who have been held as slaves or third class citizens always gain freedom. The Jews gained freedom from the Egyptians after 450years, Indian got independence from Britain, 1948 the Jews stubbornly carved out a state for themselves in the middle east. The black Americans now vote and contest elections. The scotish will break away from the British someday..its just time. The followership of Radio Biafra is crazy and if the agitation has not died 40years after the war. It wont die again. White Americans told black Americans that they will remain in perpetual servitude. Today history and time has proven those white Americans wrong.
Pro-Biafran groups are doing all they can to gain global world leaders attention and trust me they are gaining momentum. The last Biafra day celebration accross the globe gives credence to this. BBC, New York Times and Jerusalem Post has reported in Biafra in the last one week. Thats a reach out if you ask me.

Here is my proposition.
I will not tell Igbos to go or stay. It is their right to choose what they want. As a matter of fact the push by many people for them not to go is giving the struggle much more popularity.
There was war in Nigeria years back with a monumental pogrom that left many Igbos dead. Nigerian state must not pretend all is well and keep moving ahead.
There is need for a reconciliation and assimilation meeting between the state of Nigeria abd Igbo leaders.
Ask your Igbo friends at work if they truly will desire to leave Nigeria. 8 out of ten will say yes. The more reason i think the agitation for Biafra actualisation will not die.

The Niger Deltans who were cold enemies with Igbos are gradually aligning and having clandestine meetings.
Veraciously clamping down on Igbo Biafra will not work. The support and sponaorship is high and we must not pretend that the inventive power of the Igbos will not help them in this Radio war. How about NBC licensing Radio Biafra with a Different name like Radio Igbo or something else.

I write this because i have the deepest concern for what will become of our great country Nigeria in the coming years if its not well managed.
I am married to an industrous Igbo woman who has given me 2 sons. I asked her on bed last night if she supports realisation of Biafra, she said she will sponsor yhe agitation when the time is right. My wife has never mentioned Biafra but its deeply seated in her. We are both highly educated and understand rights. She and my two sons are all i've got. The Irish marry the English, yet the Irish is planning to secede, so, don't crucify me.

There is need for a wound healing meeting now before its too late. We will appear delusional if we think that the Nigeria of 1960 is same today.
History has a way of proving those who say things are impossible wrong. Some people said PMB will never become Nigeria's president again. They said he was old, he is a dictator and all sorts. Today he is the president. Biafra will be realised if Igbos are not fully re-integrated into Nigerian politics and all the hate against them stamped out.

@Lalasticlala
You got it spot on. I am Igbo from Anambara. I never took Nnamdi kanu serious but I have come to realise the rapid mass his movemement is gathering. Many dont realise the magnitude. I know the injustices that abound in this nation, but I personaly believe we should have somehow moved on. But a lot of my people still carry the hurt. And the shocking thing about this movement is that those leading it are young people in their 20s and 30s. And when u look at their mode of operation, it is non violent. The greatest mistake Nigeria will make is to use violence against them, because now the International community are now aware. Infact I thinj Buharis next 4 years this issue to me may be one of his biggest challenges.
That is why dialogue is the best solution to this, because honestly if this is not handled well, will have adverse effect on this nation. Anybody dismissing this does it at his own risk.

I support el ruffai 100 percent. Tearing down NNPC completely is the true thing to do. Honestly the kind of money that was freighted away by the last administration was colossal and massive. That was why few men were eating what belonged to the entire nation, they suddenly became billionaires over night. Gods Judgement has come and they will not go unpunished, never.

Kudos to what Uncle Tony is doing. Developing young entrepreneurs will add in developing Nigeria and Africa on the long term. I like it, when men that have achieved success, mentor others to go the same part. Kudos to Him again. Hopefully I will get to meet Him oneday.

In addition Nigeria wasted a lot of time , infact decades concerning economy diversification. Succesive goverments were busy playing the ostrich by feeding fat on crude oil earnings, without thinking of what will become of the economy if no oil earnings. Now it is coming to haunt the nation. When there is no adequate preparation failure is unavoidable, and that is what Nigeria is facing.

We are talking about the Naira here dumbass

FX is not directly correlated with the Stock market

Come back next time so i can school you
It may not be but policy of govt has a direct bearing on both. Fiscal policy and economic direction of the government in power determines the action of investors, whether to hold, buy or sell off.
And to be frank, this present administration should have hit the road immediately it commenced work, but it did not.

I am honest, i am real. I personally don't live in an estate, and i chose not to live there, not that i can't afford it. However, being comfortable is part of my lifestyle. It's part of who I am. It"s hard to find a lady who will not judge you by the size of your pocket if you are rich. Even if you dont discuss money and keep it simple, they tend to make opinions about you based on your financial status.
The only exception is if you are talking to lady of equal or comparative social status. So am I missing something?
Maybe u encounter the wrong ones. Like I told u, I can sniff out good women. I dont know whether it unique to me, if I meet a lady now, once I converse with her I can detect the kind of person she is, if I like the personality, then I can continue, if not I discontinue immediately. Another thing is you have to know what u realy want from a woman, what u are seeking for and ensuring u have the character within u to attract such. Also forget all these stuffs about a lady on ur class level, u can go below ur class but u must diffrentiate btw money conscious ones by withholding giving money, classy restaurants or any expensive spending. Lock the tap, the one that stays is interested in ur person not ur money, then build on that. When u lock the tap, balance it with ur good personality character, the good one will say 'this guy might not be the money spending type, but he is a nice guy'. Now ur personality is what draws her to u, work on it well, with time, u can start spending on her, but do it small small, because true love gives. And also keep trying/ searching, dont give up, u might fail in the early trial, just keep on trying, with time u will be shocked u can reach to the inner core of ur woman, which is sustained by honesty, being true, trust.

Another judgemental fellow. People like you are quick to jump into conclusion without knowing the personality. Read my number 1, 2 and 9 points, that is if you even read the whole write-up before typing this.
I didn't write this only based on my experience, but experience of myself and others who can identify with these challenges.
I am not being Judgemental bro, I hang around rich guys sometimes and I do see what they do a lot, most especialy here in Naija. Majority of them, have this bad attitude, arrogance and easily look down on people. I see the kind of women they hang around, very vain, fake, and money conscious. Personaly I am comfortable, and working towards good riches. I can easily sniff out good girls. I can personaly say I have had the priviledge of experiencing real love and likeness from 3 difft women, I didnt use money, or gifts etc. Women like real, honest men, a man that is plain. A man that can bypass their pretences and connect to their innermost core being, reach into their soul. If u do they can open up and let u into their innermost secrets. My guy that is one of the greatest feeling a man can experience. One of my elderly friends told me that the heart of a woman is as deep as the ocean.

this article is full of nonsense - but it will make for an interesting debate from an individual thats genuine.

Nigerian men are more obsessed with money than the women but they never admit it, it makes them stick their heads soo far up their own arses.

if you had more to you than your money, you will seek relationships on the basis of compatibility and wouldnt believe all women are after your money.

I've noticed that guys that fall into decent jobs (often not because they're intelligent) are arrogant and overbearing. They forget their manners and are probably accustomed to women flocking them they don't know how to act.

I don't care how much money such a man has I won't be able to sit in a room with him for 5 minutes.

Where I've gone on a date wanting to hear about a mans hobbies, his interests, his take on politics. i've found myself hearing how hard his life is because he has abit of spare cash, how his hobbies are making money and how he's worried about the next investment he's going to make.
What kind of woman do you expect to find with that kind of talk? O lets not forget when he now speaks on my behalf and lists my interests as brazilian hair and Beyonce. . . it's insulting!
And u ask urself why a lot of marriages of these well to do folks are crashing or in crisis. There is a saying, u cant give what u dont have. Most times these kind of men lack substance and are vain. They think that life is all about designer shoes, clothes, good ride and crib. Those things are good but the most important thing is who u are on the inside,ur personality and character like humility, respect, kindnes, caring, smart, considerate, wisdom, inteligence, real, honesty etc. When a guy possess these traits, he has 90percent chances of getting a decent good woman that will fall in true love with him.
