You need 2 by 2, how you manage to resume a relationship you got dumped for, even after 2 years of consistent shagging.

She left you and when she discovered her backup was still there, she came and you wasted no time in getting married to her.

A woman that breaks your heart once will do it again, the only reason to go back to such is to use and dump, not marriage.

Your case is a lesson, I hope you understand now, love does not exist.

Hmmm.
I actually thought it was named after HE Obaino, his predecessor, who toiled very hard to bring this his legacy project to fruition.

Except if Late Prof Achebe is from same place as Obaino, this doesn't look fair and politically correct especially among the kinsmen of Obaino who, for political and strategic reasons, located the airport in his own constituency.

I will not be surprised if this new name doesn't stand and may be changed later.

Soludo should build a legacy project and name it after late Prof. This one should be used to honor Obaino. He seems to be focusing on less important priorities like renaming.

Build great legacy project and name it after Achebe, simple. Check my signature for free stuffs!

Happy Independence Day to my fellow patriotic Nigerians and lovers of Nigeria! God bless Nigeria for ever!

I have no pity for your sister or most women in her situation. She must have been toasted by responsible guys but fell for one yellow pawpaw as fine boy. She was warned and knew he was useless.

Your sister too went as far as having 3 kids for an efulefu. She too lowkey is not serious. Perhaps only her responsible family background masked it.

We all have female relatives that didn't heed our advise when marrying yeye men. What pains me to the marrow is the pain their family (dad, mum, siblings) have to go through sorting the mess they got themselves into. shocked shocked
Actually that's the way this life is balanced
The efulefus still get married to responsible women

Nothing can be done about it
They will somehow sort themselves out

You will be wasting your time
Thinking or talking about this kind of people

So I understand you but my church mind any time she calls no dey allow me
Your Sister's weakness is that She really Loves the guy

Which is a good thing and can't be really condemned

It's that Love that made her stay with him and still had 3 children for him.

I believe your Sister is really a gem, women like her are very few.

The guy is very lucky and fortunate to have this kind of Love from a woman
But he doesn't value it
He doesn't know what he's got

But if he isn't careful
One day he just looses this Love

But funnily bad irresponsible men like this
Somehow find women that deeply Love's them

End up with women not your sisters type

Dear men,

I had decided to take some time off this space but with wetin my eyes don see I can't no more.

I write to tell you that your wife you hold in high esteem, the one you took a vow with on the altar, the one you are ready to put your life on the line for that she will never cheat on you, is not immune from stroking from other men, most especially men in her working place.

A lady friend who is married who works in a financial institution, because of the degree of guilt she was feeling would open up to me telling me how she recently had an affair with a colleague. To say I was shocked to the marrows is an understatement.

I was disappointed for a minute but then I was jolted with the: "No woman is ever truly yours even if said relationship, partnership is recognised before God and before men."

Dear men, no woman is ever truly yours even if you put a ring in it. No matter the number of pills that is red that you gulp, no woman is ever truly yours.

It is something that should be at the back of thy mind for such thinking would save you from future heartbreak the day the truth finally hit you in the face.

I would go on to admonish her that she shouldn't try such again but in my heart of hearts I know she would still go back to said colleague and collect another round of stroking.

Dear men, you are not special.

Like my friend above, your wife, partner is probably being knacked as you read this for no woman is truly ever yours.
Actually it's naive Men who don't know how far that fall into that delusion about there women

Though it's not every married woman but many do crazy things

Actually with what I have seen
Married women are the most chased presently

Many men's folk chase married women
I even feel that married women are chased more than single women
Most especially big men

Na people's wives they chase
They don't really value single women

And it's the horror of the times we are in now
Very strange times

And any married woman that is not disciplined will easily fall like pack of cards

How I knew was my married sisters confided in me that they get shock that Men pursue them

Our first daughter my sister confided in me that a big man that owns a private jet 1000 times richer than her husband was chasing Him
But she is the religious type

She shunned the Man
The Man couldn't believe it

This Man people's wives are chasing him like mad
Not even single women
And he now saw a woman turn him down
He couldn't believe it

One of my sister's colleague
A fellow eye doctor
Married as a virgin
But the husband wasn't that well to do
A big man chased him and she later fell

This big man opened a big eye hospital with latest equipment
For her

She now goes to the US and UK for doctors international conference
And most times the big man goes with her

My sister actually severed relationship with the Lady
She was telling me what her colleague was doing

Both of them knew from medical school
That woman have always been decent in school
Married as a virgin
But she later succumbed as a married woman to the power of money

It's only very few women that are safe
Especially the disciplined and maybe to some extent religious ones

But the world we are in now
Strange shocking things are happening

Although it's good people, Men are aware the very strange, terrible, evil times we are in now

"Q. Who remarries? Idiots?

A. Two basic types of men come back for seconds. One is Mr. Nice Guy. He just can't believe that other people aren't as loving and ingenuous as he is. When he hears about a particularly nasty divorce, he automatically assumes there are facts justifying the vindictiveness of the female. He can't imagine it happening to him. The second type is the man who HAS TO BE MARRIED. He is a custodial case, unable to function without a woman occupying a position of power in his life. This is due to his religion, upbringing, or other deep rooted motivation for him to marry. You will sometimes encounter this individual on the threshold of another wedding. He presents a pathetic, even false cheerful- ness. He is beyond the point of no return— again—and his eyes are glassed over. Advice would neither be welcomed nor heeded. He will soon have another monster in his home and is doomed to a lifetime of subjection and acquiescence."

No, we should not fold our arms. We cannot afford to.

One of the ways not to fold out arms is what we are doing here. We cannot recruit the right number into the knowledgeable critical mass IF we do not spell out how we got here so that our people do not get distracted when we begin to act to right the wrongs.

That's usually the problem. It is a "cooking stage". We must get the right amount of ingredients and condiments as the case may be and "cook" it for long enough so that we don't get spoilt along the line.

The people, and systems, that profit from the squalor we have in Africa today are not going to give up easily. So this has little or nothing to do with religion or prayers but the right education and mobilisation first.

The citizenry and average populace are worse than the leadership, we've got to realise that. The citizens voted the leaders.

So there must be no rush in fixing this system problem. Our enemies are as many within us as the ones outside our country and continent.
Very well stated

Thanks for this!!

Thank you for your kind feedback.

What would we say is the reason why Africa lacks this leaders IN AFRICA? I saw this because many Africans OUTSIDE AFRICA have gone on to lead exemplary teams in Europe and America.

From Sports with Mike Emenalo at Chelsea to Finance with Okonjo Iweala and Adesina to Medicine with Badero and Olutoye to Engineering with Izu - and on and on.

I think the challenge is not a lack of knowledgeable, patriotic and visionary leaders. I think that our democratic structures are subverted - intentionally - by our enemies (possibly from the West), using our people. If we look at the leaders of the Nigerian Second Republic that was truncated by Maj. Gen Buhari, there was a lot of positive development in the first four years of Shagari in 1979 - 1983. By the time they got desperate at the 1983 elections, things went pear shaped and the military found a justification to come in, unfortunately. It was not that Governors Jakande, Bola Ige, Ajasin or Ambrose Alli were not visionary and fantastic leaders.

Now, they (our enemies) neutered us while we slept by 'deleting' history from our curriculum and generously lowering our educational standards to levels where nobody trusts JAMB or WAEC again but even local Universities need to conduct 'post-UTME' and JAMB sets admission marks lower than 200 every year. How?!

International Universities today request that our graduates write the IELTS examination to prove that they can speak, write and understand the first of two official languages in Nigeria. It is so bad that nobody remembers that French is the second official language in Nigeria - when we don't even know how to speak the first official one.

So Sir/Madam, the problem is not leadership. In my opinion, the challenge is that we do not have the critical mass of knowledgeable people in the requisite number to change the trajectory of the country. It is why Mr Peter Obi, even if he became President, would not do anything as good - if he did good - as what he did as Anambra State Governor.

A man or woman can only deliver as good as the support system he or she has. Where everyone around you in the political and administrative system is of poor or suboptimal IQ, are sycophants looking to exploit or predate on the system for personal gain, then what we have is what you get.

Remember that the West needs African economy to remain agrarian, regressive and 'fantastically corrupt', in the famous words of a former UK PM to the late Queen of England.

For as long as that exists, we would be a net importer of finished goods and services from the developed world leaving our economy in a net deficit as compared to that of the countries that export processed goods and services. Countries that primarily export raw materials like unprocessed Agric produce and crude would always be poorer than countries that export refined fuel and luxury items like expensive wines and female artificial hair. It is simple economics.

Now, if such richer exporting country knows that a man who wrote this on Nairaland aspires to be a President or Governor in this Nigerian democracy, what do you think would happen? They would make money available to his/her opposition to sway the media against such person and make the people refuse to vote for such person in order to maintain the economic status quo.

That is the African problem. That is what Patrice Lumumba died over. It is what killed Tom Sankara. It caused Ghadaffi death.

Ask yourself where the South African economy is today. Ask yourself why Ghana, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Congo, Congo DR, Central Africa Republic, Niger, Chad, Cameroon, Sudan, Eritrea, South Sudan, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda, Mauritania and all the 53 African countries seem to fail. Ask why the economy of Silicon Valley, a place inside the State of California in USA is multiple times the economy of the whole of Africa.

It is intentional. It isn't because we do not have visonary leadership. It is because our democracy has been 'carefully tuned' in Africa to ensure that poverty has been WEAPONISED to subvert what democracy should be. When that is added to lower educational standards which blunts critical thinking, what we have is what you get.

The Asian Tigers like China and Dubai and Singapore didn't get it right with this Western style of democratic leadership, did they? The West would decry that kind of leadership as 'dictatorial' and undemocratic, but where we are without a knowledgeable population in the necessary number on the base of widespread poverty and lack, what we have is what one gets.

Good morning.
Yeah I totally agree with you

We don't have the critical mass of knowledgeable people to effect positive change

But from my own angle we can't fold up our hands and allow things get so bad

Example look at the havoc this past Buharis government caused in Nigeria
Messed up our economy
Now almost all our best brains are leaving the country

Who then will Develop our place?
It's very pathetic and heart breaking

But we must never give up

Each one of us must find ways to do our own little within our sphere of influence

That's is my modus operandi now

If we don't do even the little we can
This Nation and continent will be sold out to the dogs, the worst of us

God forbid bad thing!!!

Your question wasn't simple as you may think or as you think.
As an African, you can agree with me that our stories are mostly told rather than being written and so when you ask if there is any written record(s)documents) concerning Africa, then it seems somehow to me. Africans generally pass down informations through words and we both know that over time some of these informations will be forgotten due to newer events or stories being told.

Take for instance, as an African; do you write down every activities of yours on a daily or maybe part of your core daily activities in any book, so that you can refer to in the future or better still, do you snap pictures or make video recordings everyday for record purpose?
To me, because they're no written documents concerning Africa that we can hold on to like our European counterparts doesn't mean Africa/Africans were doing nothing. If maybe there is nothing like written records, I bet you won't be asking this question.
Yeah you are very right about not having a writing form of language in the ancient times.

I believe these was the major bane of Africa and it's affected us till this day

The Asians example had written language
These ability to write gave rise to them having deep philosophers

That's same pattern the Bible and Quran had
These two great books has produced some of the greatest philosophy thinking since the existence of Man

Take the Bible for example
It has influenced humanity thousands of years before

Like I mentioned Alexander the great, his grearest tutor was Aristotle
It was documented that Aristotle was so much influenced by the old testament of the Bible later in his days
He transferred that knowledge to his student Alexander the great and that's why Alexander never touched Jerusalem during his global conquest

It was said Aristotle in his later days converted to Judaism before he died.

So having a writing form of language would have perpetuated our philosophical thinking process

We still have philosophical thinking process in our clime especially in form of speaking with Proverbs

I am from the East and I know that when the elders commune
They do so mostly in Proverbs

Although we are losing it because the younger generation don't care about all these things

I remember while growing up if a grown up man is spoken to in riddles and Proverbs
If he doesn't understand it
He is jested that the dowry paid to marry his mother was in vain

I also hear deep Yoruba thinkers also always talked in riddles and Proverbs

Almost all African culture have deep riddles and Proverbs which showed that our forefathers were deep thinkers and philosophers

Thanks

The reason Africa has little to no written history is e cause most of her history were erased and stolen after she was conquered by the Europeans. Even.
Take places like the Benin people of Nigeria which had the greatest wall ever built in known history till this day. They even had street lights 300 years before the Europeans could even think of one and her vast majority of her artifacts which were stolen and currently displayed in the British museums today.
Africans progression was only halted due to countless invasions by the Europeans and Arabs alike.
Ok.i agree to what you said

Like you mentioned Benin was one of the most powerful kingdoms

Also like you highlighted invasions by the Europeans and the Arabs was true

The Arabs were even worse than the Europeans because they were involved in trans Saharan slave Trade which was hundreds of years before the transatlantic slave trade done by the Europeans to the new world

It was highlighted that African slaves transacted across Sahara dessert by the Arabs were 20 times more than the ones the Europeans sent to the new world America

African scholars like ibn batuta who lived more than 1000years ago highlighted some of these things in his documents

He was from around Mali side that's formerly Timbuktu and he went on pilgrimage to Mecca through the Sahara desert several times before the last one he did and his mother died and he never saw his mother again. The grief was with him till his death

Two of the most prominent educated Africans of the past 1000 years were ibn batuta Islamic scholar and St Augustine a Catholic priest that lived almost 1500 years ago.

With respect to the bolded, can we learn from Asia: Singapore, Malaysia, UAE, JAPAN & China - who suffered the same plight as most of Africa but are economically independent today?
The problem we have is that Africa doesn't have the fundamentals that these Asian countries had

Most importantly is sound visionary leaders

Singapore had Prime Minister Lee Kuan yew who Developed the blueprint and template Singapore is using till today since 1960s

Malaysia had Muhammad Mahatir who Developed the blueprint and template for Malaysia since 1970s

China had Chairman Mao who set the foundation for Chinas Development since 1960s

Even Vietnam that fought war with the US in the 1970s also set up same vision.
Today there Economy is doing massively.

Even Bangladesh is doing well

Japan the baba of Asia had Always been Developed since the beginning of 19th century

Japan was so Developed they fought the second world war as allies of Hitler with there factories producing the ammunition's used in the war

So Africa don't have the fundamentals of good visionary leadership
Which is our bane

The bit sound leaders we had small was during the first republic: Awolowo, Azikiwe, Ahmadu Bello

Now we don't have such Calibre of visionary responsible leadership

Wow!
Your point has silenced many. I've learnt something. The bible is true! Jesus Christ is true!
Before nko

The Bible is very true

The Bible is one of the most authentic documented history

Even past emperor's marveled at the Bible

Example Alexander the great was so marveled by the Biblical prophecies which talked about him that he never touched Jerusalem during his global conquest

He was the one that defeated and ended the Persian empire(present day Iran) by defeating King Darius

Because of his respect for the Bible Alexander the great didn't touch Jerusalem

It was documented that he passed through Jerusalem during one of his conquest trips and was received by the High priest that was the ruler of Jerusalem then at the entrance of Jerusalem

The High priest promised him that Jewish children will be named Alexander
That's how Jews then began bearing the name Alexander

The Jews had good relationship with Greece empire

It was the Romans that dealt with the Jews when they ruled the then world after the fall of Greek empire

The Romans destroyed Jerusalem in AD 70 when they burned the temple of Solomon in Jerusalem and confiscated the gold Solomon lavished in building the temple in Jerusalem

The Jews were dispersed away from there Homeland for over 2000 years until 1947 after the fall of Hitler in 1945 when he killed 6 million Jews in concentration camps during the Holocaust

Josephus the historian wrote that actually the Jews brought the calamity of the Roman destruction of AD 70 after there rejection of Christ

The Bible documented that Christ wept during his triumphant entry into Jerusalem when he spoke woes unto Jerusalem before he was crucified

Josephus the historian said that the Jews sealed there Faith when ponitus Pilate the Roman administrator of Jerusalem wanted to stop Christ being crucified

The Jews said no that he should free Barabbas a notorious criminal
Pilate now called for water and washed his hands that he is free of Christ's guilt

That the repercussions of crucifying Christ should be on the Jews Head

It was documented that the Jews said let the repercussions fall on them and there children

Josephus the historian wrote that the Jews sealed there Faith and the repercussions they wished on themselves and their children was fulfilled when the Romans destroyed Jerusalem in AD 70

Burnt Solomon's temple down
Looted the gold's Solomon used to construct the temple
And dispersed the Jews as refugees and vagabonds to the Earth for over 2000 years

The Jews were vagabonds and they dweled predominantly in Europe, Arabic world, Persia etc

Prophet Muhammad during his existence interacted with many Jewish people and also he interacted with Catholic priests and monks

History is powerful

Quotes like this shows that you know nothing about history. What we’re Africans doing then? Really?? Don’t ever insult the motherland like this again! Ever!
I asked a very simple question

What were Africans doing then?

Is there any written documents anywhere concerning Africa

Even the Chinese, Indians, Koreans have documented written of there history 2000years ago

The only documented African country is Ethiopia.
It was known as cush in the Bible

Simon of Cyrene that helped Christ to carry his Cross on the way to crucifiction was a black man

And in the book of Acts in the Bible the Ethiopian Eunuch was mentioned

This is an intellectual discuss
Not fighting

Thanks

MrPRevailer:
The paganic Roman Empire greatly persecuted and murdered many disciples and apostles of the early Church in a bid to stop Christianity.

They could not stop Christianity in its tracks. So they subverted it by creating a similar religious system. THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH
Actually it was emperor Constantine after his conversion to Christianity
Turned Rome from pagan to Christianity
And founded the Catholic Church

The Catholic Church was already established 600 years before the coming of prophet Muhammad

The Catholic Church held sway for over 1500 years before the advent of Martin Luther, the creating of the church of England, then Methodist Church

Then the migration of pilgrims to the New world America when they were fleeing from persecution from the king's of Europe

The pilgrims founded America on foundation of Liberty, and freedom for every Man

The Americans fought war with the British and gained Independence
Setting up the powerful US Constitution built on Liberty

The Europeans then began to go around discovering other parts of the world aided by industrial revolution they built the steam engine that enabled ships travel thousands of miles to other continents especially championed by the Portuguese and the British

The Portuguese were the first to discover Africa while the British discovered Australia, New Zealand.

The Europeans started coming to Africa and the transatlantic slave trade started for over 150 years
Africans were sold into slavery to the New world, America, Caribbeans

Then the British abolished slave trade and started Trading on raw materials like palm oil etc

With time they formed trading posts in Africa example is the Royal Niger company that First came as traders but later colonised Africa by Force after Africa was shared amongst the Europeans in late 18th century

That's when Nigeria was formed and various African tribes were organized into Nations

This has been the bane of Africa as a continent
And the reality is that Africa may never Develop like other parts of the world
Because the Europeans that gave us form and being are the ones still in control of our world

We Africans are no match for them in Development and advancement

And Jesus Christ was born during the reign of Augustus Cesar.
When the emperor gave directive for the census of the entire Roman world

Joseph took Mary his wife to his hometown in Bethlehem to be counted in census where she gave birth to our Lord Jesus Christ 🙏

You can imagine how organized Rome was over 2000years ago to have conducted census then

What were Africans doing then?

Honestly I Love History!!

Buhari had academic records
But our present president is fighting in the US Court's to hide his academic records

Something is very fishy

Then in handling Economy
Seems Buhari understood how to handle Economy better than Tinubu

When people do bad they think it will continue

But God is the judge

He knows how to reward

This young man apart from present case on his head have corrupted many young people worse than any other Nigerian musician

Funnily he was raised up in the notorious ghetto of UK where the worst kind of corruption is practiced

He then came back to Nigeria to unleash the abominable lifestyle he learnt in the UK

Now nature's Justice is after him

I just wander whether he will escape this

This is also a warning to those that do evil or support and praise those doing evil

Payday of reward is coming

As long as there is God in heaven

Reward is definitely sure

What are they resolving? They want to thwart the late man's will? What the second son is about to do is exactly what I would do. She the first son get oil.money, let him go and buy properties na. Please, you guys should let the second son breath.
Actually the man's will stands

It's just that everyone was shocked

He really dealt with the first e

But he caused it
Looking down on a Man that was a big odogwu in his hey days

This is a very big lesson
People should be careful how they relate with there parents when they feel they have arrived

Because these old people know how to deal with stubborn children even from the grave

FamilyRe: After 37yrs In South Africa He Came Back To Drag Properties With My Father. by djon78(m): 7:17pm On Sep 19, 2023
Peter532:
Hello all,
My dad immediate elder brother who went to south africa in the 90s is back to drag their parents property claiming to be the first son.

This is someone who after he travelled only came back once and never bothered about the affair's of the family.

Their father my grandfather died 2005 he was no where to be found. my grand mother died 2018 still nothing from him.

No contributions whatever even while their parents was still alive.

He cut all sort of communications with them and now he's back to lay claim on the properties.

The family is angry but some of the elders in the extended family are getting on is side claiming he's still the senior he was never disowned but they can't say it out though.

It's obvious he came back with almost nothing and felt laying claims on their parent property is the back up plan

No will was written and some of the old buildings has been reconstructed from the scratch by my father and yet someone is laying claim on it.

I will like to know how this will go because my father is ready to fight this with his last strength and we the children are firmly behind him
If you guys are Igbo
Then your father has a big wahala ahead of him

Because in Igbo culture
The first son inherits the Obi and main property the father Left

Other sons are given other properties or lands but the main property where the Father lived belongs to the first son

It's non debatable in Igbo culture

I don't know about other cultures

But if your grandfather left a will
The will will decide the sharing of the properties

Sometimes the father may not will anything to to the first son
And that stands

There is a case we are treating presently in the East

A big man died last year.
He was past eighty and willed his major assets to his second son
He denied the first son anything except his Obi in the village which belongs to the first son by culture

We found out the first son made small money from oil servicing deal and was looking down on his father

The father now punished him in his will
People were shocked
The Man also punished his wife because he felt the wife was the one influencing the first son

The wahala now is that the mother and first son are up in arms with the second son

Heard the second son want to sell of some of the choice Properties and relocate to the US because he is scared of his life.

The umunna and some big men are trying to resolve the whole issue

But walahi fear some fathers
They can deal with anyone with there will

But the obj or fathers Properly in the village belong to the first son
