Hello, Are there competent mechanics that can service the vehicle being a diesel engine? |
Raychee:The song was phenomenal. Perfect theme for the movie Flashdance. Do grab a copy of the flick, I assure you it won't be a waste of time. |
madjune:The song was a hit but NEVER put her in the league of the Greatest Performer of All Time dead or alive...NEVER! Not even then as Thriller was tearing the charts and discotheques across the world apart. |
I don't know how I'm going to say this without coming off as possibly "unsupportive" or perhaps "insulting". But be rest assured I have massive respect and love for every Nigerian putting in positive and ethical work to get ahead in life. So this is what I have to say. Nearly every YouTube channel video I watch here is a turn-off as soon as I click on the play button. Why? It s not the content (far from it, most contents are very informative and entertaining). The MAJOR reason is how the Narrators SOUND! Folks, please brush up a bit on your grammar, tone, inflection and accent. I'm not saying "form oyibo" or anything, but, please try and make your voice sound better. Some of you aside from the terrible accent sound "bored", "dead", "distracted" etc. There are FREE courses you can take to work on your presentation voice. Before anyone attacks me saying they are just being Nigerians.. last I checked, Sulaiman Alehde (hope I got the spelling correctly) is a Nigerian Maupe, Chamberlain and a host of others are Nigerians. I'm not talking about those Radio anchors that form "oyibo" everywhere. The folks I mentioned don't "form accents" but speak in clear resounding manner. Learn how to do this and coupled with informative content, watch how your subs increase. Train your voice for presentation. Yes, you can learn it! There's a chap that post a lot of videos here...his voice sounds like unmixed gravel with an accent so irritating my ears literarily crawl off my head to prevent the continued torture. I'm sorry if I came off as judgemental, but I just had to tell it like it is. Nice one, keep it up! |
emerged01:It just baffles me the way the average Nigerian thinks as evidenced by the way folks relate, react and postulate ideas on Nairaland. Someone sat down, exercised his intellectual capacity to think about the various economic issues bedeviling the country and was wondering why a particular theory he believes could work wasn't adopted. Now that man is a THINKER, A SOLUTION PROVIDER. Considering the fact he understands he may not know all the aspects, twists and turns and implication of his solution, he has come here to Nairaland (a forum fast losing its relevance due to the preponderance of folks like you quoted) to sound out his opinion and hear what other "intellectuals" and "subject experts" he believes resides in the building have to say. Rather than comment ON the topic intellectually or keep mum if they have nothing to say and LEARN, these children of perdition will always seek to attack the poster, question his sanity, insult his person, his gender, ethnicity, beliefs etc and TOTALLY ignore what the poster was about. These are the people you say should lead the country, these are your so-called youth who want to wrest power from the current thrives we have as politicians. Let's pray we don't substitute a GREATER evil for a lesser one when folks exemplified by the one you quoted come to positions of power and authority. If Nairaland is to be the measure of how prepared the Nigerian youth is for power and responsibility, then the country is DOOMED!!! Thanks for your feedback to he/she that posted thinking they know something whereas s/he wallows in repugnant ignorance. |
Channah1:QED. You can't have it all. Those qualities in her you mentioned is extremely rare to find together in a female. I will not go into the argument of whether she behaves that way in a bid to secure a man given her physical looks as that would be straying from the topic. If you can't take the whole package, please let her be. Someone is in the wing, somewhere, that would love her for all she is; curved back inclusive. |
rozaie:It's worrying that Nigeria has gotten so bad that we accept just about anything. You, my dear, have the right to "want" what you want without anyone calling you out. You "KNOW" who you are, you know the work, pain, tears, effort, money and whatnot that you've expended in becoming the professional you are. You deserve your day in the sun, your rest and the right to a decent job. Also, others who can survive working under the conditions you described should go ahead; each to his own. That you were being called out by others for demanding what is right (accommodation was part of the offer so yea, it was your entitlement...for those who don't know, be educated) is totally wrong. It just goes to show you how severely broken in spirit the average Nigerian youth is-willing to take any crumb thrown at him from the largess or so called benevolence of a master who is NOTHING without him. Kudos to a certain poster with the Asour handle. He was so onpoint about the symbiotic relationship between the employer and the employee. Sadly, this isn't the case in Nigeria. Don't lose sleep over the issue. You're definitely in a better place. |
GardenGreen:I've been following your post and retorts to others from Page One. I don't think you're a nice Boss. Not because of the topic, but, the views you hold about labour as garnered from your posts, are if anything, in my opinion, too inflexible. I am basing my views about your entrepreneurial personality strictly on your comebacks on the topic. You seem to be so emotional with your arguments and it detracts from the points embedded therein. It's kind of funny because, you, the "boss" now sound like the one 'entitled' and not the 'employee'. A "'take it or leave it" scenario has NEVER augured well for any party in the history of human relations irrespective of the level of negotiation or interaction. I could go on and on but, I'd rather rest my case. |
Finally... The die is cast. |
KristaPretty:QED. |
blazhykowskyi:Maybe I should have included the "class" of migrants in my post. By definition, a Caucasian from Sweden naturalized in the UK is a migrant...but, he's "white", seen as an equal in race and possibly ancestory (greater Europe). An Indian? not quite so the case. |
NwaNimo1:Seriously doubt that. Never minding public posturing, that country seems deep-rooted in nationalistic aristocracy to allow an "Indian" irrespective of how "anglicised" to be the No1. political figure in the UK (the Queen is ceremonial and I believe still smarting from her grandson going rogue in his choice of wife). They could be fine with migrants occupying less powerful seats, but, 10 Downing Street? huh huh...( and no, there is no comparison here with America and Obama). |
nighter:Beats my imagination! |
cococandy:Quite surprised that the ladies didn't pick up on that shade to their gender. Many a respectable lady (especially in the West) would have called this out or boycotted the thread altogether in protest. Subtly and subconsciously, the average Nigerian lady is getting used to being touted as a strumpet, irresponsible money-chaser and a homewrecker. The reaction of the majority of ladies who have reacted to this thread is evidence of this statement (negligible amount of female respondents called out the OP on referring to his girlfriend's as bitches, such a shame!). May catch flake from both genders for this post, but, that bothers me none. The truth is eternal. |
Amotolongbo:The highlited; therein lies the problem. That motivation never minding how well intended can NEVER be construed as such by the man (even if he, in self deceit thinks so).. A subtle "competition" now exists irrespective of how the couple try to gloss it over and it takes an expert at emotional intelligence (a skill sorely lacking in the majority of humans moreso couples) to be able to manage this marital situation. It is just a matter of time, the "insecurity_ in the man and the "challenger" in the woman would best their efforts at love, civility and subconscious pretence. All it takes is one word spoken in anger, just one ,and, the whole charade crumbles. Just a matter of time... |

This role is not for accountants please. Kindly do a little research on the job functions of a key account manager before applying.
