As for pain...the push and pull power is his most powerful offence. Don't say with it because that's part of pain. If naruto went against what jiraiya went thru fighting just 3 pains without fore knowledge...he won't last half the time jiraiya lasted even with sage mode on. Don't underestimate pain... The research findings stated that "research funds are available for researchers to access, but because most nigerian academicians have nothing new to bake in the academic oven, these funds are not accessed and used for the intended purpose of researching and coming out with new inventions and techniques that will help solve societal problems". funds meant for maintenance are always embezzled not to talk of research funds. The money gets squandered by the 'ogas at the top'. I don't understand how you'll steal from something that isn't enough.

Most of our lecturers are actually lazy and outdated...I wonder what history lecturers really have to research Nothing. They keep teaching the same garbage one could easily read up online. And when you ask them a question that challenges them intellectually, na only God go make that person pass that course. SMH

well, that would apply to most history lecturers in the world. About lazy lecturers, I've seen some crazily lazy lecturers that would sit in their office while students are in class waiting. You'll all disperse after the class rep has visited their office about 3 times.

zebra: What are u still saying? Government provide research grants to universities every year. That is one of the mandates of the university, and it is their right that such funds is made available annually for them to carry out researches. If government were nnnt providing these funds ASUU would have included that as part of their reasons for going on strike. I still repeat, they collect these funds and use them for some other things and not research. Only very few lecturers in nigeria (less than 10% ) are actually engaged in research. I know of one in ABU, Prof Nok.

I don't know if they are given money for research or not. Even if they are, I'm sure it is always embezzled at senate (university senate) level and it doesn't get to the lecturers. I know only a few percentage of lecturers carry out research. I think the money doesn't get to the lecturers (i.e if it's actually being allocated) or even the department.

'runs' is illegal and also a sin. Help is only necessary because of Nigeria's condition. If you have to pay someone to help you, it is no longer called 'help' it is called bribe. Some people even continue to bribe lecturers after they've gained admission. Last time I checked, you help people without expecting anything in return.

You won't know until you see one. I didn't know too, until I met some of them. Read my earlier posts.

Federal govt give research grants to federal universities that claim to be doing researches every year different from the money used in running the universities. If govt were not giving them research grants they would have probably gone on strike for that reason, or better still come out to tell nigerians that govt are not encouraging them financially on research. Because they have no research agenda they divert money meant for research into other uses.

well, they're on strike and I also won't believe that a government that can not provide the total amount needed to run a school will give the school money to carry out researches.
