Truefaith:

Do we have an example of it in the Bible?

Did any of the Apostles ever presume to offer, again, the Lord Jesus Christ in a sacrifice, bloodied or not?

The mass, like almost all the idolatrous practices introduced into Roman Catholicism, is from the occult.

You can't get an example of it in the Christian Bible.

If, therefore, it cannot be found in the Christian Bible, where did the popes and the Roman Catholic fathers derive the power to formulate such teachings from?

The true faith of the Lord Jesus Christ cannot be improved upon in any way by any human or human organization.

They can only presume to be able to corrupt it.

"..it is appointed unto men, once to die, after this, the judgment"

IT IS TIME FOR ALL WHO FEAR GOD TO CHECK THEIR BELIEFS WITH THE CONTENTS OF THE BIBLE

Wow! It seems you were just waiting for any opportunity to castigate the Catholic sure. You went as far calling the Catholic church a cult just to satisfy your hatred right. Some of you talk about Christianity as if you invented it. Just be careful of what you say about other people's religion.

And what if the NJC decides to drag their foot or ignore the prosecution till after election, only to offset a credible election because there will definitely be election cases taken to tribunals.

Justice Onnoghen is from Cross River, we know that Cross River is a PDP state.

That aside,
How many corrupt Judges has the NJC handed over to the EFCC or DSS or AGF for investigation and prosecution, the last ones that where arrested where retired with full benefits by the NJC. But if it a common man or someone that is not a judge the NJC will open their law books and met out sentences they see fit.

The NJC is just as guilty as the FG on this one, because they have bastardized the due process of prosecuting a siting Judge that is corrupt.

What if! What if!! You just based your argument on assumption

Politics / Re: Real Reason Fayose Lost Ekitidecide2018. by DK2daworld: 8:19pm On Jul 18, 2018
spartacus11:
For future sake, this is my own thread on #EkitiDecides2018

What are the issues?

What are the factors that characterized the election?

Enjoy.
Lemme first of all state here that my name is Asiwaju Oladimeji, from Usi-Ekiti. I am from Ajana family.

I schooled at University of Ado-Ekiti.

Worked in Ado Ekiti

Married in Ado Ekiti.

I witnessed Fayose-Oni-Fayemi-Fayose administrations.

So, i am rooted here.
Again, i studied political science and i have been involved with 4 Elections in Ekiti: 2011, 2014, 2015, 2018 as either INEC's ad hoc staff or observer.

So, i am at a vantage position of analysing voting behaviour/pattern of Ekiti people.
Again, cos i worked with National Population commission in Ekiti state and with my vast experience as a field officer, i have traveled round most of the villages and towns across the 3 senatorial districts.

So, omo una kan o le wa ma pa iro mo wa l'ori.. Hell No.
It is important to draw our attention back to 2014 especially on PDP primary which produced Fayose then.

Yes, it was on record that Prince Dayo Adeyeye stepped down for Fayose. But an insider told me that Fayose never committed himself of supporting Adeyeye in 2018.
However, i was informed that Dayo Adeyeye was of the opinion that he will get Fayose's support in 2018. Moreover, Fayose himself declared that once his tenure is over, he is going away with his Deputy.

Why did Fayose then changed his mind three years after that statement?
The choice of Eleka by Fayose was the beginning of PDP defeat on Saturday.

After PDP primary, Eleka emerged via Fayose's structures. Dayo Adeyeye left for APC. He did not just leave. He left with some bigwigs.

Owoseni (Ise)
Gbosa (Ikere)
Etc.
Again, because of Fayose's arrogance and 'one-man mopol' style of governance, most of his financiers and supporters who felt aggrieved immediately he became the governor distanced themselves and later left for APC.
Cyril Fasuyi from Ido wws another big factor.
All of a sudden, emperor Fayose become a god to himself. He shut down every opposition within PDP. He is the alpha and omega. He singlehandedly selected all the HoA members without conceding some to other members.
Fayose appoints all the Commissioners, SAs. In fact, there were rumour that he even reduced the number of Eleka's (Deputy Governor) convoy. Slashed his security vote. Fayose was another Pharaoh
Fayose turned Ekiti House of Assembly to another laughing stock. How i wish some of u have an idea of those we called Honourables in Ekiti.

One is called Paso Osoko. The guy does not even know what is a "bill"

One is Olasca from Ido. That one nah Fuji musician.

Iya je wa oo.
There were rumours that those HoA members paid Fayose certain percentage.

Attempt to do something similar with Senator Raji Rasaki (Central) and Senator Olujimi (South) was met with stiffed opposition.
Because of Fayose's greediness, he lost Olujimi. Senator Olujimi became an outsider even as a PDP member. Most of her followers waited patiently for July 14.

Again, Senator Raji Rasaki could not work with Emperor Fayose.
In fact, Senator Raji Rasaki was more of APC than PDP. Though she later decamped officially.

Thus, in just 3.5years, Emperor Fayose had lost

Prince Dayo Adeyeye
Senator Olujimi
Senator Raji Rasaki
Barrister Owoseeni (His former attorney)
Lemme also remind u that Emperor Fayose because of his dictatorial character, singlehandedly selected Deji Ogunsakin as Eleka's running mate.

Sir/Ma, that decision did not go down well with most PDP members. E.g. Tosin Aluko became aggrieved in Ado.
I met some of Tosin Aluko's supporters after that decision. They were so angry. They felt rejected. If u go to their base around "Orita Blessing", u can feel their anger.

They will tell u "who is Deji"?
For those of u who do not know who is Tosin Aluko? Go to Ado and u will know how popular she is.

Yes, she did not decamp but her body language speaks volume. Her supporters got her message loud and clear.
Invariably, Emperor Fayose and PDP went into this election with a depleted and torn umbrella. But because he knows how to mobilize for rally, some of u thought he was that same Fayose of 2014.

Ba ba nla scam.
Lemme quickly state here that the choice of Baba Bisi Egbeyemi as APC Deputy Governor was strategic. Baba is from Ado. Immediately Baba accepted that offer, some important PDP members left for APC straight away. I know of Hon Adeleye Adebayo.
Immediately, Emperor Fayose lost Senator Raji Rasaki (Ado), Tosin Aluko (Ado) and the emergence of Baba Egbeyemi as APC DG, some of us knew Ado votes will be keenly contested. The result from Ado vindicated us.
Immediately Emperor Fayose lost Prince Dayo Adeyeye and Barrister Owoseeni, some of us knew Ise/Orun LG will be difficult for PDP to win.

Ise Ekiti people simply came out and carried out a protest votes against Fayose for denying their son twice: 2014/2018.
Emperor Fayose's calculation was to use Emure LG votes to negate that of Ise/Orun. Sadly, Adeyeye penetrated that axis and APC narrowly lost with just 100votes.

Adeyeye was a GAME CHANGER.
Now, why did Eleka who hailed from Ikere performed badly even though PDP won in Ikere.

Lemme explain.
After Ado, if i am not wrong, Ikere has the next voting population. Ordinarily, if any candidate win Ikere/Ado with huge margin, trust me u can win Ekiti election.
Hon Gbosa from Ikere followed his godfather (Dayo Adeyeye) to APC. That was the first major problem of Eleka in Ikere.

Dont forget, Eleka is not a politician. In fact, he is not even popular in Ikere if not because he was made the DG.
Gbosa is another strong grass root politician in Ikere with the likes of Hon Afuye.

They were ready to spoil the votes in Ikere for APC. But that was not the major factor of Eleka's poor performance in Ikere.

It was the issue of Olukere vs Fayose tussle.
Historically, Ikere Ekiti has two kings namely, Ogoga and Olukere. I was informed (not certain) that the Olukere side has more population than Ogoga.

Fayose had issues with Olukere and at a point Emperor Fayose locked the king inside prison for 54days.
You locked a whole king up, what a taboo.

That was Eleka's problem in Ikere. Eleka too during this period was silent. Your king was dehumanized yet u keep quiet. Who does that pls?
When Olukere was eventually released, some of u need to see how he was welcomed back. U need to see the crowd. Well, the King promised to answer Emperor Fayose at the right time. So, the Olukere and his people waited till July 14 and play their own game.
So, APC lost Ado with small margin and even performed excellently in Ikere beyond expectations.

What do u expect, the game was over.
Again, another strategic man for APC was BAFEM. In fact, immediately Fayemi won APC primary election, he had to quickly woo BAFEM. The man is just another FAYOSE.

So what happened to the vote buying aspect, which I think is main factor

Fayose should remember that what goes around comes around. Karma is already in Ekiti waiting for Saturday's election. Same thing thou did to Fayemi in 2015 elections will be done to thee this time.Forget the online rascals supporting Fayose all because of the memories of operation python dance. They are not wearing the shoes of ekiti workers so they don't know how working a year without salary pinches. Ekiti must be rescued from clownish and irresponsible system of government. The major achievements of Fayose are propaganda, criticisms of Buhari and a needless fraudulent 1km bridge. If Fayose's candidate cannot campaign and convince electorates with reasons why he deserves their vote, how does he intend to govern without fayose's interference? Ekiti state once revered for its academic prowess has been turned to a laughing stock by this fraud called Fayose. He's downfall is imminent and i celebrate in advance with the people of Ekiti for deciding to break free from Fayose's chain of political slavery

Why always Ekiti? There are several other States owing their workers, so who is going to rescue them?. It shouldn't be about Ekiti alone, Osun is even a next door neighbour.
Culture / Re: An Insight On The Gbagyi People: Real Owners Of Abuja by DK2daworld: 10:51am On Jul 11, 2018
great one, you forgot to mention that when they speak their language it sounds like they are singing a song. grin
24hoursreporter:
Do you know that the Gbagyi People were the original owners of Abuja? Have you read about them before? Do you know that their land was reclaimed from them to form the seat of power? I know you don’t. This article will unveil all you need to know about the Gbagyi People.

The Gbagyi people were the original settlers of Abuja before it became the federal capital territory. After reading this write up, you will understand some of the things you never knew about this tribe.

Trouble started for the Gbagyi people in 1976. The then military government saw the need to find a location in the geographical center of the country where Nigerians could unite under.

However, the original idea was to look for a ‘no-man’s land’ in the geographical center of the country that no one could lay claim to. This was how the 8000 Square Kilometers of land upon which the FCT stood.

This land that houses the Presidential Villa, National Assembly, Federal Government Parastatals, Institutions, Suburban neighborhood and mall was somebody’s land. The Gbagyi people.

Painfully, the military government hurriedly forced them out of their land so that they can construct the new capital. As a matter of fact, the government underestimated the Gbagyi people living in the territory as they continue with their plan.

Although the government had plans to compensate them. But the plans lack proper implementation. Some displaced families were given housing, but others lived in transit camp for a long time.

Till date, the ethnic group still feel that federal government shortchanged them and deprived them of their lands and heritage.

Well, in this article, you will see all you need to know about the Gbagyi people.

Brief History

Gbagyi are peace loving people whose major occupations are agricultural and artistic works. Also, they are Nupoid speaking people who live in the North Central Geographical zone of the Nigeria.

They are mainly in Niger, Kaduna States and Federal Capital Territory. You can also see this ethnic group in Nasarawa and Kogi state. However, they are the most populated ethnic group in the Federal Capital Territory.

According to oral tradition, the first settler was a hunter who went to hunt in Paikokun land, a thick forest in Abuja. Paikokun was the name of the mountain where the first settler inhabited.

The Gbagyi people initially used to live on mountain tops because they believed they were safer on the mountain than at the plain before western civilization made most of them relocate to the plain.

How To Know Gbagyi People

It is very easy to spot Gbagyi people, the women always place load on their shoulders, no matter how heavy the load is. They believe that the head represents the king of the body and should be treated with respect.

They call the part of the body they place their loads as Bwapa. Furthermore, they believe that the load is always lighter on their shoulder. This is still a common practice among the Gbagyi people till date.

Marriage

We can’t tell you all you need to know about the Gbagyi people if we fail to mention their marriage.

In the past, marriage among these ethnic group was purely cultural. As a matter of fact, a man will have to serve in a girl’s father’s farm land for 7 years before he can marry that girl.

However, they don’t practice this tradition anymore. Groom now pays the bride pride instead of serving for 7 years in the bride’s father’s farm.

Religion

Some Gbayi believe in a god called Shekwoi. It was there before their ancestors. However, they also appease deities of the god such as Maigiro.

Indigenously, their main religion is Knunu, which they believe protects them from the evil that exist in the community. They worship the Knunu by offering fowl and beer as a sacrifice to a special tree found deep in the forest.

However, in modern day, Most Gbayi people are either muslim or christains.

Food

The Gwari people enjoy eating a meal known as Wyizhe. It is made from Guinean corn which is also used to make a special drink known as Zhepwo. The Gwari people also enjoy drinking a soup known as Knadolo made from locust beans.

Clothing

The Gbagyi people wear tie and dye clothing known as Ajeside, made from local cotton and traditional woven and dyed.

Occupation

The Gbagyi people are predominantly farmers. However, they are also good at fetching firewood, doing pottery work and blacksmith.

In the past, the Gbagyi people were also known for their visual art, most especially pottery work. They also practice other arts like sculpture, iron smelting, domestic craft and smelting.

Check: 24hoursreporter to see more pictures of the Gbagyi people.

Sports / Finally Mikel Obi Reveals Why He Snubbed Man United For Chelsea by DK2daworld: 7:44pm On Jun 26, 2018
John Obi Mikel has finally reveals why he chose Chelsea over Manchester United 12 years ago even after he was pictured in a United shirt.

Jose Mourinho snapped him to Stamford Bridge when Sir Alex Ferguson had thought he had won the race to land the Nigerian talent in 2006.

And the 31-year-old has revealed that he made the move to the Blues in order to help some of his countrymen find a club.

Speaking to the Players' Tribune, he wrote: 'I know what you’re thinking.

"So before I tell you my story, let’s just get that bit out of the way first. It’s been more than a decade and I still get asked this one thing about my time in England.

'"Hey, what happened to you signing for Manchester United? How come you swapped for Chelsea at the last minute?" Every time.

"I’ll tell you what happened. I had all these people on both sides fighting over me. Agents, managers, strangers, guys handing me papers. I had Sir Alex Ferguson calling me on the phone on one side.

"And I had Roman Abramovich on the other side, putting me up in London, hiding me somewhere where only a few people knew where I was. It was really confusing, and I was a kid, you know?"

"After a while, someone from FIFA gave me a phone call. They said, “Listen, we know you’re young and you have these two clubs fighting over you. We can’t decide for you. You can only go where you want. You have to tell us."

"I thought about it for a long time. It was the biggest decision of my life".

"You know what made my mind up? Chelsea had signed three other players from Nigeria along with me. They were staying with me at the house in London to keep me company."

"These guys… their lives depended on the decision I was making. If I went to United, they were gone. If I went to Chelsea, they were going to have a career."

"No matter how long it lasted, that was important to me. Just to give them a chance, you know?"

"I chose Chelsea, and four lives changed that day."

Mikel signed for United from Lyn Oslo in April 2005, but the move was never finalised after he claimed that he had been 'bullied' into the deal and wished to join Chelsea instead.

Chelsea agreed to pay a £12m compensation package to United to allow the move to go through.

Mikel won two Premier League titles, three FA Cups and the Champions League in 2012 in the over 10 years he spent at Stamford.

Players and officials of Nigeria’s senior national football team, Super Eagles, are currently at the presidential villa for a farewell meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, ahead of their trip to Russia for the World Cup.

The team is lead by NFF President, Amaju Pinnick.

The session was earlier slated for Tuesday evening.

It would be an opportunity for the president to wish the three –time African champions well on their way to a sixth appearance at football’s biggest showpiece.

The meeting is coming hours before the eagles are due to fly to London for a pre-World Cup friendly against England’s Three Lions at Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening.

From London, the delegation will fly into Bad Tatzmannsdorf, a city in Austria where they will spend eight days at the world–renowned Avita Resort before flying to Russia.

In-between the final camping in Austria, the team will play a final pre-World Cup friendly against the Czech Republic at the Rudolf Tonn Stadium (just outside Vienna) next Wednesday.
