Of a truth, there is no god but ALLAH and Prophet Muhammed is truly the messenger of ALLAH. - Lailaha illala Muhamaddurrasullah.

Briefly, though I'm a Deltan, I was born in the north, Kano precisely. Though we left before I was 9years due to the riot. Each time I'm in Abuja, I feel at home with the Muslims, I have this assurance that I cannot be cheated and all.
I guess that's fate.
Uhm, I wouldn't want to use the word 'desire', I'd prefer 'drawn', I'm usually drawn towards them.

What do I do when I approach a mosque? I'm really nervous about that sincerely.

Apart from the edition of the English translation of the Holy Quran mentioned above, do you have any you could recommend that I can download from the Android Market?

I'm a Christian who would like to become a Muslim. Both religions have so much in common, but I'm fascinated by the seriousness and devoutedness of the average Muslim.

The average Muslim is simple, honest and spiritually conscious. Their ladies are always looking decent especially with their wholesome way of dressing. I'm usually attracted to them.

I remember telling a Christian friend of mine that I would like a Muslim lady for a wife, and he, shocked, blatantly censured me... that he would 'disown' me as a friend. And I wondered if such a response was Christlike.

Anyway, the only hindrance I may have is the Arabic language. I'm not good at learning languages.

Please, before I accept the injunction below, I would like to know if I can be a good Muslim without being able to speak/recite with the Arabic language?

If you sincerely want to be a muslim, admit this statement wholeheartedly and say Lailaha illala Muhamaddurrasullah.

Meaning: There is no god but ALLAH and Prophet Muhammed is the messenger of ALLAH.

You can also go to any nearby mosque.

Knowing Arabic is secondary as there is translation of the Holy Quran and Hadith to any language of your choice. You can but dat shouldnt b immediate. You need to understand d important pillars of Islam like Salat ( 5 daily prayers, Fasting in the month of Ramadan, etc).

You should have the intention dat u wanna revert to Islam not because u desire a Muslim lady or its principles but u believe wholeheartedly its concept as Islam is the only true religion.

If you need any assistance or wanna know about Islam, PM or email me:

Muslim (918) narrated that Umm
Salamah (may Allaah be pleased with
her) said: I heard the Messenger of
Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah
be upon him) say: I heard the
Messenger of Allaah (peace and
blessings of Allaah be upon him) say:
“There is no Muslim who is stricken
with a calamity and says what Allaah
has enjoined – ‘Verily to Allaah we
belong and unto Him is our return. O
Allaah, reward me for my affliction and
compensate me with something better’
– but Allaah will compensate him with
something better.”
She said: When Abu Salamah died, I
said: Who among the Muslims is better
than Abu Salamah, the first household
to migrate to join the Messenger of
Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah
be upon him)? Then I said it, and Allaah
compensated me with the Messenger
of Allaah (peace and blessings of
Allaah be upon him).

On this note, if calamities befalls us we should know that it is one of the trials in which ALLAH will test us as a believer. We shouldnt wail and say Inna lilahi wainnah illahi rajiun.

May ALLAH help us all

Praise be to ALLAH..

Calamities and disasters are a test, and
they are a sign of Allaah’s love for a
person, because they are like medicine:
even though it is bitter, despite its
bitterness you give it to the one whom
you love – and for Allaah is the highest
description. In the saheeh hadeeth it
says: “The greatest reward comes with
the greatest trial. When Allaah loves a
people He tests them. Whoever accepts
that wins His pleasure but whoever is
discontent with that earns His wrath.”
Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (2396) and Ibn
Maajah (4031); classed as hasan by al-

WHAT IS ANGER?
Anger is a secret weapon of man towards

That no 5...i dont really understnd. How does that relate with Iman?
it does. As Muslims we are not supposed to get angry, irritated and upset over little things.

It is undesirable for a pious man to lose
his temper, due to jokes, frivolous talks,
quarrels, criticism and greed for wealth.
The real strength of a man lies in
controlling his wrath. i.e. Anger.

It is reported in a Hadith on the authority of
Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him)
that the messenger of Allah (Mohammedf
( ) Peace and blessing of Allah be upon
him said :

"The man is not a good wrestler; the strong
man is in fact the person who controls himself
at the time of anger."

the above Hadith is stated in Bukhari.
Anger is unlawful because it destroys the
faith of a man. Bah bin hakim (Allah be
please with him) Reported that the
messenger of Allah (peace and blessing of
Allah be upon him) . Said: Verily anger
spoil's faith just as aloes spoils honey .
It is stated in Bukhari.:

" A person should be cautious from being
angry."

In another narration by Abu Huraira (May
Allah be pleased with him man said to the
Prophet Muhammad ( ) Advise me.
The Prophet Muhammad ( ). Said :
"

Do not become angry “

The man asked the same question again
and again and the Prophet Muhammad ( )
Replied by in case by saying:
“ Do not become angry and furious”

OBJECTION MY lORD!
I dont think University of Ibadan accept 2.2 for masters programs
Objection overruled.

University of Ibadan accepts not only minimum of 2.2 in all courses but also third class in some designated courses for MSc directly. I have friends there with lower grades currently on their programs too.

You can affirm my above statements by checking the official link of University of Ibadan postgraduate requirements/prospectus below:

www.google.com/url?q=http://admissions.pgschool.ui.edu.ng/prospectus.pdf&sa=U&ei=ltGIVKffKIPkaLTkgnA&ved=0CBYQFjAA&usg=AFQjCNGJl6hubjXuSTccWl9DWMsyHUYPEw

I know you mean no harm but you must b careful whenever you post things online so you wont mislead odas especially delicate issues like this dat could define people future.

Even some top schools in UK, CANADA and USA accept 2.2.

It is well Sir.

This thread funny die. Make I comment jor befor i comot for here.

This one wey b say everyone b efiwe for this thread, at least, this tells more on the credibility of the candidates. There should be more success rate.

As opposed to NNPC last recruitment in whic 80% of First Class and Second Class upper test takers failed. 2.2, Third Class etc graduates kan de mock them.

https://www.nairaland.com/736777/80-first-class-2.1-failed

We will expect many people to pass the test this time around and shortlisted for interview if truly people chose the correct answer in the exam and not here.

However, for the job, only God/Allah/Oluwa/Chukwu is involved.

I graduated with a 2:2 from Obafemi Awolowo University, B.A (History and International Relations) with gpa (2.64). I wish to further either PGD, MBA etc. Please which is advisable?

I do not have any work experience after grad from uni, finished nysc june this year and been busy with my fashion retail business. Please need your advice on which PGD course i can read in Unilag. Thanks!
With 2.2, u can do MSc directly in any course and school in Nigeria.

In fact, with third class in some courses of top Nigeria schools, u can do MSc directly.

In Unilag, with third class, u can do directly MSc Cell biology, MSc Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Management, Master of Environmental Management, MIT, MSc Parasitology, MILR, to mention just a few.

If not d situation of d country, 2.2 is a gud grade.

Pls I really need to know and if No how do I go about it, if I want to go through masters
it depends on the school, the course and admission requirement.

With third class in some courses of top Nigeria schools like Unibadan and Unilag, u can do MSc directly.

In Unilag for example, u can do directly MSc Cell biology, MSc Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Management, Master of Environmental Management, MIT, MSc Parasitology, MILR, to mention just a few.

So dont waste your money doing PGD.

Just ask first about the criteria of d course.

Generally, Geosciences and Engineering in Unilag require PGD.
