IslamRe: Ramadan Is Next Week! Are You Preparing For The Blessed Month? by dmaze: 2:50pm On Mar 17, 2023
Walaykum salaam.

Jazakumullah khairan, thank you for sharing Brother Lukgaf.

Lukgaf:
As-Salaam-Alaikum,

The holy month of Ramadan is almost here, and it's time to start preparing ourselves for this blessed time of the year. Ramadan is a time of spiritual renewal, self-reflection, and deepening our connection with Allah.

In order to make the most out of this month, it is important to start preparing ourselves physically, mentally, and spiritually. Some tips for preparing for Ramadan include:

- Start adjusting your sleep schedule so that you can wake up early for Suhoor and be well-rested for the day ahead.
- Increase your Quran recitation and start memorizing new verses or Surahs.
- Prepare your meal plans and stock up on healthy food options.
- Make a list of personal goals that you would like to achieve during the month, such as giving more to charity, improving your character, or spending more time with family.

Let us all make the most out of this blessed month and strive to become better Muslims. May Allah accept our fasting, prayers, and good deeds during this time.

All I would say for the last time is reading about islam with a pure and sound mind is a virtue.

You haven't been reading about Islam properly.

Islam is the BEST and LAST religion on earth plus Prophet Muhammad (SAW) can never be a fraud, check history books even non-christains describe him as the MOST NOBLE AND BEST MAN WITH THE MOST HUMBLE AND EXCELLENT CHARACTER EVER.

I would no longer reply to any of your comments.
Have a good day.

olgaa14:
I never quoted anything out of the context, the hadith I wrote is sahih buhkari...(Book 32, Hadith 3).

When I mentioned the election I was simply replying to the person that brought up election matters in to the topic.

Lastly Islam is a big fraud, how can they accuse Mohammed of stealing and you still choose to follow such individual.
IslamRe: Using Someone Else's Phone: The Importance Of Adhering To Islamic Guidelines by dmaze: 4:32pm On Mar 03, 2023
Why am I not surprised?
You come to a muslim page to harass muslims!!!

What you quoted below about Prophet Muhammad SAW is the biggest LIE ever told. He (SAW) is ONE of the best men that would ever exist on this earth.

Words of wisdom: Read about Prophet Muhammad SAW without hate or prejudice in your heart. Then come back and correct this false write up you wrote below.

Dont bring elections into this for God's sake. You had a choice to look to other front page topics but you choose to harass muslims.

Are Muslims INEC?

olgaa14:
Why won't you support fraud elections!!!!
Here is Mohammed accused of stealing by his followers....

The verse "And no Prophet could (ever) be false to his trust" was revealed about a red velvet. When it was found missing on the day of Badr, some people said; Perhaps the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has taken it. So Allah, the Exalted, sent down "And no prophet could (ever) be false to his trust" to the end of the verse.

This verse is sahih buhkari

O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness and Your protection in this world and the next. O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness and Your protection in my religion, in my worldly affairs, in my family and in my wealth. O Allah, conceal my secrets and preserve me from anguish. O Allah, guard me from what is in front of me and behind me, from my right, and from my left, and from above me. I seek refuge in Your Greatness from being struck down from beneath me.

IslamRe: Some Lessons From Adab Al-mufrad This Week: Caring For Animals by dmaze: 5:26pm On Jan 27, 2023
Walaykum salaam warahmatullah wabarakatu!

Jazakumullah Khairan Brother Lukgaf.

Lukgaf:
Notes from the Adab Al-Mufrad Class of our Shaykh, Abu Naasir Ibrahim AbdurRauf, Session 199, held on Sunday, Jumadal-Thanni 29, 1444/January 22, 2023

We have a duty to care for domesticated animals in our custody. It is a very big sin in Islam to torture animals. A woman was put in the Fire despite her worship because she tied down a cat, without giving it food to eat or water to drink, and preventing it from seeking it's livelihood on the earth.

It is prohibited to kill a cat or restrict its movement without giving it food and drink. It is compulsory for anyone who owns or keeps an animal to spend on them, giving them food, drink, medical attention, or any other thing they need. It is a major sin, with the threat of the Fire, to abandon this duty.

Only wretched people are unfortunate enough to have mercy removed from their hearts. Some people in our times who claim Islam would put cats over fire, burning them to death. Some put the animal in a sack and beat it to death. These are wicked, wretched people and Islam is free from them.

Be kind and compassionate to everything and everyone, including yourself, and you will receive kindness and compassion. Perhaps the difficulties we find in our society is as a result of the loss of mercy and compassion from people's hearts. Leaders should show compassion to the followers, and the followers should also show compassion to those in authority, as well as other members of the society.

If you want Allah's forgiveness, then forgive people as well. Allah's forgiveness is written for those who forgive others.

Do not be like a funnel, like those who hear sermons, but the words leave the ears as if it never entered. Do not continue upon sinning while knowing that it is wrong. If you forget, stop it once you remember. If you did not know, stop it once you learn. But do not deliberately commit sins, continuing upon it after knowing its wrong, for this will be a cause of regret.

Show mercy, even if it is to an animal that you want to slaughter. The slaughtered animal is shown mercy by sharpening the blade, laying it down properly, targeting the slaughter point, and slaughtering it at once so the pain comes and goes in a moment.

Assalam Alaykum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuhu

EducationRe: Nigerian Students In UK, Others Risk Deportation by dmaze: 6:14pm On Jan 26, 2023
This is one way to look at it. However, remember, about just 2 to 3 years ago, when Boris Johnson was still prime minister they complained about how funding that comes from international students
to the UK purse dropped because of the scrapping of the 2 years visa to international students.

Really they should either discard it or be true to their word because men, what those students paid are not leaves or ordinary paper, they have contributed to the economy, which ever way you want to look at it.

If it sure for them they should have left it how it was before and not brought back the two years post study visa.

UK wants to eat her cake and have it too, not possible.

I don't need to talk to much. Let them scrap it and see if people would come to their economies bringing all those pounds to come and study in the next academic year or period.

blueAgent:
My friend, law is law, the students paid for tuition fee not resident or immigrants visas.

Policies are meant to be made and discarded as new challenges and ideas come up.
EducationRe: Nigerian Students In UK, Others Risk Deportation by dmaze: 5:32am On Jan 26, 2023
I do understand their sentiments pocohantas, but think about it. If you don't want them to come don't open your boarders at all like North Korea.

But don't collect all the very expensive pounds sterling from me,that you can't easily get anywhere else today then tell me you don't want to give me my two years because you want to reduce foreigners?

It is hypocrisy on their part. That is why a lot of Nigerian students were going to other destinations before when they scraped the two years. Now they brought it back and Nigerians started going there again but an immigrant herself to the UK now wants to remove this again.

I am not saying they should not protect their economy from foreigners but NOT foreigners who have CONTRIBUTED SIGNIFICANT POUND STERLING to the UK economy and all of a sudden you are tired of seeing their face.

As far as I am concerned, these students should be protected under the UK law and not have anything come between them and their 2 years under no circumstances except those who go there to break the law of the country deliberately.

pocohantas:
How are are they mad, Oga Gaby?

If Nigeria opens her borders to the point you start seeing Togolese and Ghanians every square meter, would you be happy?

I understand both parties here. The country and the (intending) immigrants. We know the party wasn’t going to go on for too long. It just can’t!
IslamRe: Daily Qur'an Challenge: Would You Join This Challenge? by dmaze: 5:17pm On Jan 06, 2023
Jazakumullah khairan for this beautiful reminder.
May Almighty Allah SWT accept all our prayers and
jumu'ah, aameen.

Lukgaf:
Join this Qur'an reading challenge today! Reciting the Qur'an shouldn't just be reserved for Ramadan. Do you agree?

Even if you can't read a juuz/day, you can start with a smaller amount such as 1/2 or 3/4 of it, or even just a page or a line. Consistency and commitment are key.

Add Qur'an reading to your daily routine at a time that works for you. Remember, there are many benefits to reading the Qur'an (including the reward of good deeds). As the Prophet Muhammad said, "Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, he will receive one good deed as ten good deeds like it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is one letter, but rather Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter, and Mim is a letter."

As a rough estimate, here are some potential daily rewards for different amounts of reading:

1 line (36 letters) = roughly 360 good deeds
1 page (532 letters) = roughly 5,320 good deeds
5 pages (2,660 letters) = roughly 26,600 good deeds
10 pages (5,320 letters) = roughly 53,200 good deeds
20 pages (10,640 letters) = roughly 106,400 good deeds (one juuz/day). - I encourage this because you complere
Don't let the hours you spend online go to waste - use some of that time to earn rewards through Qur'an reading. Set a daily reminder and be consistent. May Allah make it easy for you. Ameen."

I encourage you to aim for reading 20 pages per day - this is roughly one juuz, and if you can commit to this daily, you will complete a Qur'an in one month!

Below are some of the benefits of reading the Qur'an, both spiritual and physical.

Spiritual guidance: The Qur'an is considered the Word of God in Islam, and it is believed to contain guidance and teachings for all of humanity. Reading the Qur'an can help believers to understand God's message and to live a more meaningful and purposeful life.

Personal growth and development:
The Qur'an encourages believers to develop their character and to become the best version of themselves. Reading the Qur'an can help one to reflect on their own behavior and to make positive changes in their life.

Increased knowledge: The Qur'an is a source of knowledge and wisdom, and reading it can increase one's understanding of the world and their place in it.

Improved mental health: Some studies have suggested that reading the Qur'an can have positive effects on mental health, including reducing stress and anxiety and increasing feelings of calm and well-being.

Physical health benefits: Some research has also suggested that reading the Qur'an can have physical health benefits, including reducing blood pressure and heart rate and improving sleep.

Reward in the hereafter: In Islam, it is believed that reading the Qur'an and acting upon its teachings will be rewarded in the afterlife. The Prophet Muhammad is reported to have said, "The one who reads a letter from the Qur'an will have a reward, and this reward will be multiplied by ten. I am not saying that 'Alif, Laam, Meem' is a letter, rather Alif is a letter, Laam is a letter, and Meem is a letter."

Try to practice with New General Mathematics from JSS1- SS3. Also look out for English language secondary school textbooks that can help.

For PWC- You need to understand Assessment Day style of questions. Google this.

For Deloitte, you have to go a step further, understand current affairs, understand further Mathematics, and be able to write a comprehension well etc.

For KPMG, you need to understand GMAT/ Assessment Day Questions and how to write a comprehension well.

Try all this and be dedicated to it, you would be surprised at the outcome.

Alhamdulillah Rabbi-l Alaameen.
Astaghfiruka wa atoobu ilaik.

May Almighty Allah SWT forgive our sins, that which we committed unknowingly and knowing, aameen thumma aameen.

Jazakumullah khairan for sharing this insightful piece.

Lukgaf:
Is it permissible to look at another person's private part even if of similar sex?

Abu Sa'id al Khudri Radiyallahu anhu reported that Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, “A man should not see the private parts of another man, and a woman should not see the private parts of another woman, and a man should not lie with another man under one covering, and a woman should not lie with another woman under one covering.” [Sahih Muslim].

"Exposing the intimate parts of the body is unlawful in Islam as the Quran instructs the covering of male and female genitals, and for adult females the breasts. Exposing them is normally considered sinful. Exposing intimate parts when needed, such as going to the toilet or bathing, falls under a specific set of rules." Intimate parts in Islam.

Based on what is contained on IslamQA about the topic, the ‘awrah of a woman in front of her mahrams is her entire body except that which usually appears such as the face and hair, neck, forearms and feet. The ‘awrah of a woman with another woman is the area between the navel and the knee. The ‘awrah of a man is the area between the navel and the knee; as for the navel and the knee themselves, they are not part of the ‘awrah. Some scholars are of the opinion that knee is awrah also and must be covered.

According to Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said: It is not permissible for a young man to play football, for example, wearing only shorts that do not reach the knees or that do not reach the navel. It is essential that the area between the navel and the knee be covered in the case of young men.

Many of us still fall in this prohibition. We often think there is no problem if we look at our friend's awrah since we are of the same sex. But that is not permissible! Since we know we are prohibited from doing so, please let's refrain from doing it.

IslamRe: Difference Between Restricted And Unrestricted Takbir In Dhul-hijjah by dmaze: 4:45pm On Jul 01, 2022
Alihamdulillah Rabbi-l Alaameen.

May Almighty Allah SWT accept this from you and us all, aameen thumma aameen.

Rashduct4luv:
Praise be to Allah.

Firstly:
The virtues of Takbir in the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah

The first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are venerated days. Allah swore by them in His Book, and swearing by a thing is indicative of its importance and great benefit. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“By the dawn; By the ten nights (i.e. the first ten days of the month of Dhul-Hijjah)” [Al-Fajr 89:1]

Ibn ‘Abbas, Ibn al-Zubayr, Mujahid and others among the earlier and later generations said: This refers to the ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah. Ibn Kathir said: This is the correct view. (Tafsir Ibn Kathir, 8/413)

Good deeds during these days are beloved to Allah, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, not even jihad for the sake of Allah?” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Not even jihad for the sake of Allah, except in the case of a man who went out to fight, giving himself and his wealth up for the cause, and came back with nothing.” Narrated by al-Bukhari, 969; al-Tirmidhi, 757. This version was narrated by al-Tirmidhi and classed as sahih by al-Albani in Sahih al-Tirmidhi, 605.

One of the righteous deeds during these days is to remember Allah by reciting takbir (saying “Allahu akbar”) and tahlil (saying “La ilaha ill-Allah”), because of the following evidence.
Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“That they may witness things that are of benefit to them (i.e. reward of Hajj in the Hereafter, and also some worldly gain from trade), and mention the Name of Allah on appointed days” [Al-Hajj 22:28]

The “appointed days” are the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah.
Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And remember Allah during the appointed Days” [Al-Baqarah 2:203]

These are the days of al-Tashriq, i.e. the 11th, 12th and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The days of tashriq are the days of eating, drinking and remembering Allah.” (Narrated by Muslim, 1141)
Secondly:

Formulas of Takbir in the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah

The scholars have different views on the formulas of Takbir.

1- The first view is that it is:
Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, la ilaha ill-Allah, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, wa lillahi’l-hamd (Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, there is no god but Allah, Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, and to Allah be praise).

2- The second view is that it is:
Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, la ilaha ill-Allah, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, wa lillahi’l-hamd (Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, there is no god but Allah, Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, and to Allah be praise).

3- The third view is that it is:
Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, la ilaha ill-Allah, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, wa lillahi’l-hamd (Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, there is no god but Allah, Allah is Most Great, Allah is Most Great, and to Allah be praise).

The matter is broad in scope because there is no text narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)which specifies a particular form of Takbir.

Thirdly:
The time of Takbir in Dhul-Hijjah

The takbir is divided into two categories:

1 – Unrestricted Takbir. This is the takbir that is not limited to a specific time, and it is Sunnah to say it all the time, morning and evening, before prayer and after prayer, at all times.

2 – Restricted Takbir. This is the takbir that is limited to the time immediately after prayer.

It is Sunnah to recite unrestricted takbir at any time during the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah and all the days of Tashriq, starting from the beginning of the month of Dhul-Hijjah (i.e., from sunset on the last day of Dhul-Qi’dah {i.e. from sunset on Wednesday 28th June 2022) until the end of the days of Al-Tashriq, which is when the sun sets on the thirteenth day of Dhul-Hijjah (i.e.Tuesday 12 July 2022).

With regard to restricted takbir, it starts from Fajr on the day of ‘Arafah (i.e. July 8 2022) and lasts until the sun sets on the last day of the days of Tashriq (i.e.Tuesday 12 July 2022), in addition to the takbir that may be recited at any time. So when a person says the taslim at the end of the obligatory prayer, he should pray for forgiveness (by saying Astaghfir-Allah) three times, and say, “Allahumma anta al-salam wa minka al-salam, tabarakta ya dha’l-jalali wa’l-ikram (“O Allah, You are al-Salam [the One Who is free from all defects and deficiencies), and from You is all peace, blessed are You, O possessor of majesty and honour”), then start the takbir.

This is for those who are not on Hajj. The pilgrims should start the takbir after prayer from Zhuhr on the Day of Sacrifice (the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah).

And Allah knows best.
