Romance › Re: My Girl Friend Slapped Me!!! by dmcdad: 1:19pm On Feb 27, 2013
Smh... Its so appalling that it had to get to such an extent.

You made a very big mistake for raising your hands against her. For crying out loud, this girl is just your girl friend and not your slave. Why on earth did you slap her? On her part, she made a mistake also for returning the slap(infact, slaps). In any way we look at it, two wrongs can never and will never make a right. The fact that I am not and will never be in support of raising one's hand against one's lover, that is not to justify that what she did was right.

If I were you, there are variant ways I would have handled that situation. Firstly, since I did try to get her attention with my call and she refused to answer the call, I would wait there and make sure she get to notice me, and the moment I confirm that she has noticed me, I would leave that premises. And trust me, I would never bring up that issue, I would just leave it for her conscience to hunt her, knowing fully well that I saw her or rather caught her red-handed. Secondly, if I had a very good view of the both of them, I would just put up my phone instantly and record the whole scenario, at least for a while just to use it as evidence when the confrontation begins. After that, I would question her when I get to see her and try to get the truth from her, but if she refuse to give-in, I would just put on the video and give it to her for her to watch. After that, I would leave and never say anything more. Lastly, after watching her for a while, I would leave and when we get to see, I would question her about her whereabouts to a point she would get annoyed, and thats when I would divulge everything.

Back to the nitty-gritty, the deed has been done. The salient question that comes to the fore now is.. What next? Just search yourself and decide if to continue the relationship or not. If you would choose to end it, it should be because of her insincerity, dishonesty, and her untruthfulness, not to mention her unfaithfulness, games and all that crap... I wonder how long she must have been doing that...

Well, take heart sha. But next time, don't ever try to lay your hands on a woman for whatever reason. I think there are better ways to treat a woman's misdemeanor than raising your hand against her.. I have never tried that and would never try it. I don't even shout at a girl much more raise my hand against her... I always think there are other ways to treat her misdeeds than that....

kokonets: Well congrats RM, I think that Barcelona’s drop in form is very much due to Tito's absence, something not highlighted by the press. His absence is a huge deal, especially considering that his replacement Roura is a relative amateur

We will bounce back!!
For sure!!!

ddippset: Men I am so so pissed but thank God it wasn't a hiding. My 5-0 is still intact. They can have the copa I'l have la liga. But for now I need man u to do me a favour. Knock these basstardz out.
Infact, just like u read my mind before posting this... Like u stated, our 5-0 is yet intact and afterall I won at the Santiago last season by this same goal margin, so no cause for alarm.

Anywayz, we really do need CBs (at least 2), Neymar, and one other person up-front (a striker). ..

In any case, we are more than a club.
Forca Barca!!!

Stealthy: We are officially in crisis mode. We are definitely not beating Milan 3-0 if we keep defending like this.

Thank God Tito got us a healthy lead in the league before getting ill.

I agree 100%.

AJ, sorry man. Wrong match to go watch in Camp Nou.

Barca coaches and management need to learn that defence is part of the game and necessary investments in quality CBs is paramount for this team. No point defending like school boys and later blaming opponents for parking the bus.
You are right bruv... I can see us winning just the league this season and hopefully the super cup...

Armaniswiz: Of course there r many big shots in 9ja who r humble even though i don't think this is a complete act of humility, it could b out of convenience, personal preference/lifestyle and obviously safe for him. A lot of weathly men would ride bikes in 9ja but then you ask yourself, on which road? u worry abt ur safety as well as security cuz none has been provided. i once used a bycicle to a bank close to where i live in lagos n got very insulted by d security dude for tryin to keep it at d car park. My point is, it cld b for exercise or some other reason n probably he drives to work sometimes. Not all wealthy Nigerians r arrogant/noisy n not all white wealthy people r humble, it's down to personality n lifestyle.

Yeah... But you have to take cognizance of the fact that, she must be respectful. The truth is, there is nothing bad about it. The major reason why lots of people are scared of going into a relationship with such kinda woman is because of respect. And to be sincere with you, if a woman is respectful, he is respectful irrespective of her age or something...

If you are very observant you will know that young girls of nowadays are rude and un-respectful(most though). If you see a girl that is respectful with good manners, I tell you even if she were younger than you or not the respect will be there.

I wrote this piece from experience. I dated someone who was 4-5 years older than myself, but up to this day, I am yet to see a girl with her level of morality, respect and manners. She almost worshipped me with her extraordinary manners and respect...

So, if you feel she has these attributes, I would say go for her...

Mad Cow: lol!!

Bros cool down!! Na so my matter dey always be!! No be quarrel o!!

Anyways, I get your point. Which is coming from a Nigerian Perspective, its definitely condesending for a wealthy man such as him to be riding a bike (which by the way may just cost more than most high end vehicles manufactured in the same year as it) or even use public transport system (such as a train)..

Well.. If that is your arguement, then I get it!

Sadly, I have lived and worked in Europe and America and know that this is not unusual.. So no wahala!

No vex o!! Na rough play I been dey follow you play! grin [/b]
No wahala brother... No offence recorded...

Mad Cow: You still havent realized the errors of your comment. Oya, grab a textbook..

Todays Lesson: 'Condesending'.

condescending

Use in a sentence

con·de·scend·ing/ˌkɒndəˈsɛndɪŋ/ Spelled [kon-duh-sen-ding]

showing or implying a usually patronizing descent from dignity or superiority:

Example: They resented the older neighbors' condescending cordiality.

condescend (ˌkɒndɪˈsɛnd)

— vb

2. to do something that one regards as below one's dignity

condescending (ˌkɒndɪˈsɛndɪŋ)

— adj
showing or implying condescension by stooping to the level of one's inferiors, esp in a patronizing way

Anyhow you look at it, it means Inferior..

So I ask you; Are you implying that him riding a bike is condesending of his wealth status?! If yes, what car would be fitting of his status..
Ha ha ha... Now I get it. You seem like I was ignorant of the word I used. Newsflash! I wasnt.

Now back to the nitty-gritty, in reality brother, there exist very few people that would do that. Now, riding on a bike rather something more doesn't necessarily imply humility hook, line and sinker. Nevertheless, I am not implying that he his not humble but just trying to point out the fact that such practice isn't common for someone of his financial status.

Okay, why do you think people laud his action? I think its because what he did is definitely not common for a billionaire. Some weeks ago such was brought to the fore about Google's co-founder Brin when he boarded a train to work with the new google eye glass. The debate or rather reactions from NLers were similar to this, reasonably because such is not common especially in a country like ours.

Anyways, I could do as much and thats because of my uncommon nature. Yet, sometimes the best way to know how you would respond to certain things is when you experience them in reality.

Besides, na wa for u ooo. You just run judge me say na him make me never make am... Thats really absurd.

Mad Cow: Epic fail!!!!!

So riding a bike is 'condesending' abi?!!

No wonder you never hammer!
It seems you didnt comprehend my statement properly. I said frankly, I might not come down to such level. The reason I used that term is sorely because of the fact that, sometimes it is easier said than done. You know this is the reality. Also, you failed to take cognizance of the word MIGHT!!!

Is that too hard to understandhuh
