Read your comment again, not making sense. If you cannot show where you said Buhari cannot be president because his comments led to the death of about 1000 persons post 2011 election but saying Obi cannot be president because of a private phone call, then you're not a fair minded person. Nzeogwu and Ironsi are military men without any single Igbo vote to their name so why should Igbos take responsibility for their actions. Idaytesj29: How can he not? After una unified the country by force, no be him people held to power since then? Abeg.... Other minority tribes sef dey vex for the Igbos sef as this greedy ambition has cost us alot.
But He lost several times before he eventually became president. Then he has overwhelming support of his northern people when he won.
Lastly, pick lessons from what people are saying and not just fights, these emotion and avoiding responsibility attitude isn't gonna help. |

You're deliberately conflating issues to keep pushing your false narrative. Focus!!! Ironsi was a military man, not an Igbo leader because nobody elected him. Before the pogrom of 1966 that eventually led to the Biafra war, there were progroms in the 40s and 50s. Igbos left Nigeria from 1967 to 1970, Nigeria still maintained Ironsi's alleged unitary structure. When Gowon took over instead of the Yoruba most senior officer, it was still 4 regions. Awolowo , Oba of Benin encouraged Gowon to divide the country to 12 states to checkmate the Igbos yet they said Ironsi that left 4 regions was the one that destroyed the regions. Every policy of Nigeria since 1966 has been made to reduce the igbo advantage over others but the igbo advantage is as a result of extreme hard-work. In other words, Nigeria always sacrifice meritocracy and adopts mediocrity. How can Nigeria progress? If we say lets restructure today, you guys will give excuse then come another 50yrs and blame Ironsi who had not even a single vote to his name. If you can show me one Igbo man that voted for Ironsi, that made you say we should take responsibility for his action, I'll know you're making sense! Idaytesj29: The international community divided Germany, not the German Chancellor. Ojukwu secceeded, removed the East from Nigeria and named it Biafra. That's treason. Ours was a civil war, that of Germany was a World war to stop new German imperialism in Europe. So, that does not fit. Also, it as the same international community that announced he fall of the walls signalling the unification of the country.
You can't absolve Ironsi of his error. It was what set Nigeria s feet on the journey of bad governance and instability that the East complains of the most now. Mind you, it is always everyone else fault except the East.
Yoruba did this, they did that, they lied is lied that.... Even with records and evidences, una go still dispute am. Taking responsibility is a no no. One of the reason leadership is not befitting you cos leaders take responsibility......that is the first step unfortunately to what Igbo are looking for but are too busy running after innocence and to be blameless instead of apologizing for declaring secession which warranted military action that divided the country.
Also, you are not ready for leadership if you still blame or see Hausa, ijaw Yoruba gbagyi Fulani etc as your enemy that needs to be crushed or dragged, but ant them to come together and vote you into power. How on earth do you want expect them to trust you with such power?
You are powerless, you have no regard or respect for another tribe, what's gonna happen when you have absolute power for 8 year? When you have not moved on from the past. |

We are still paying subsidy on petrol, even more than Buhari paid. Technically, there is no increase revenue. The increase allocation is because the naira was devalued which made it appear like the govt earns more. It actually earns less because we can only pump 1.3 million barrels per day versus 2.4 million during PDP era. We're defending the naira periodically esp when its drifting. There's what is called new manager bounce. Every new manager's first yr is usually the best and decline starts from the second yr. We're getting the best of Tinubu, it will only get worse from here. Even with rigging, Tinubu has the lowest 'mandate' of any president in history. You cant succeed if your major support is only from your region out of six emkz: All candidates agreed that subsidy had to go.
Buhari subtly removed it by refusing to make budgetary provisions for it. Tinubu ought to have left it at that. But announcing it sent shock waves across the country because those wicked marketers hoarded products.
Defending the naira was also a form of dollar subsidy. You may not be aware that banks were hoarding fx because of the exchange rate differential. Also, there were too many BDCs unregistered that were doing the round-tripping. Like I argued then, every major currency is floated, but the market for trading fx is not floated. It is heavily regulated. But subsidizing dollar sakes, we open and sustain a new avenue of stealing by the already corrupt class. Okay, all the dollars Cardi B pumped into the system, what economic activity were they tied to?
Nothing! Just a store of wealth by the rich. The dollar subsidy had to go to free up funds for other things.
Are you aware that funds to universities and other tertiary institutions had increased? Are you also aware that FAAC allocations to states have increased?
As for minimum wage, many people do not know that FG pays more apart from the minimum wage. There are allowances that many civil servants would never talk about. I made a topic on it yesterday.
Ask any NNPC worker about allowances.
FG can pay 200k minimum wage because they already pay cumulatively up to that to some workers in the form of cumulated allowances. But the disparity with states that cannot pay will lead to an economic crisis. When retailers jerk up prices when they hear minimum wage increment, they never ask if you are a federal or state worker.
As for failure, Tinubu has not failed. Historically, one year is for settling in, two years for governance and the last year for politicking. If anything, Tinubu has shown he is bold and daring. He has learnt to be more tactical and diplomatic.
I don't see him failing. |

You're derailing from the argument. How did Ironsi destroy the regions? Zionbel: No one is pushing for homophobia against Igbo. Instead, it's some Igbos who are fanning the embers of tribalism in 9ja. Ironsi was very tribalistic and bias. He didn't punish the coup plotters who were all igbos except one. And no igbo leader was killed in the accused corrupt govt. He instead promoted them and ensured they had their salaries. Then he ran a unitary system of government which was built around Igbos. Virtually all the leaders aside regional leaders are Igbos. |

You're looking at the East complaining about the system, you're complaining too but prefer to do nothing to spite the East. After the second world war, Germany was divided into East Germany and West Germany by the allied forces. When the USSR collapsed in 1991, the re-united back to how they were in 1945. This shows you they had no intention of changing their structure. When Ironsi was killed after just 45 days of creating a decree, Nigerians did not remove his decree because they love it but complaining 58yrs later. When Ironsi was killed, it was still 4 regions, how he is the one that destroyed the region is the biggest Yoruba lies of the millennium. Ask them to restructure today, they'll say they can't because Ironsi said nobody should restructure Idaytesj29: Why create the obnoxious policy in the first place? Your line of argument is like saying we cannot blame Tinubu for Subsidy Removal and say why can't the subsequent leaders reverse the subsidy removal decision.
Why did he put up the policy in the first place? A young country, just 6 years old. Coming from a bloody coup and you bring out such policies which later back fired and still backfiring. He was a daft leader. His just was to keep the peace and give a date for new elections. Instead he was trying to keep himself in power. What of the Ben Nwabueze drafted Unitary Constitution? To bring all powers to him at the center. And the norther elite saw it and another counter coup was planned to boot him out of office.
The Eastern region is just clamouring for Biafra, it's not the plan of Igbo past leader, their plan was to lead Nigeria 🇳🇬 and make others followers but it was rejected and because other tribes only want equal representation, and they refused the subjugation plan by the Igbos, Igbos brought out Biafra card.
Whatever obstacle the east is facing the political space in Nigeria was self created, its always shocking to see when they are claiming victims. |

If Tinubu fails? He already failed. He damaged his illegitimate presidency beyond repair from two disastrous policies; subsidy removal recklessly and floating of the naira at the same time. Mark it somewhere, Nigeria under Tinubu will continue to go down. Let me tell you the third policy that will be the nail in the coffin; minimum wage. You and I know the govt cannot pay 80k yet paying 80k means 200 million people will be in poverty vs 133 million. The subsidy removal, floating of the naira and minimum wage will be Tinubu's albatross emkz: Abeg, NO EVER TALK SAY I PREFER ATIKU AGAIN!
Supporting Tinubu puts a huge burden on me: if he fails, where will I hide my face? This is why I applaud him when he does well and criticize him when he strays.
I cannot support and defend him blindly.
But Atiku, naah. Atiku lacks one fundamental leadership trait: patience. Atiku had no business leaving PDP in 2015. Even in 2023, he had no business allowing Obi and Kwankwaso to leave. He lacks political gamesmanship. He also lacks strategy and failed to groom loyalists over the years. |

Apart from the fact that Tinubu did not win, he lied about everything. If the institutions were not compromised, Tinubu ought not to be in the ballot but in jail No wonder he is desperately trying to gain legitimacy to no avail. Currently, only Yorubas defend Tinubu emkz: Good idea.
It is his constitutional right.
Atiku has taken the record for the greatest number of presidential runs.
In 2023, he had the best shot in his life for tge position. He had to be defeated to realize that division can be calamitous.
Unlike the other one, Atiku knew he lost. Because he knew this, he went to Chicago State University to prove an unfounded allegation that Tinubu never graduated from there. When he realized Tinubu graduated, he tried to prove Tinubu forged a certificate. When he realized that the Registrar of the University said they don't handle replacement certificate, Atiku took his deposition and brought it to the Supreme Court.
No US court stamped it, no US agency notarized it, no US Embassy authenticated it. Atiku knew his deposition was inadmissible.
If he believed he won, why didn't he present his polling unit agents results from the field? If he believed the election wasn't free and fair, why didn't he publish cases of irregularities?
Atiku and the other one tried to plunge Nigeria into a constitutional crisis because they lost. They are not leadership materials. However, they stand a chance if Tinubu fails.
As for Atiku, if he ever wants to run, get must avoid the following persons:
1. Dino Melaye: this is the guy you allowed to lead your campaign. He is not mature for such responsibilities.
2. Phrank Shaibu: This one spent time attacking Tinubu instead of convincing voters about your programmes. He also defended the failure of your media team to do the proper work.
3. Daniel Bwala: This one has visited the person who defeated you more than three times in 5 months. He seems to already avoid you. Either he was a mole in your campaign or never believed in you.
4. Don Pedro Obaseki: He was your head of research and ought to have been aware and properly advised you that the Chicago route was a calamity for you. The premise that Tinubu never graduated was wrong. When you realized he graduates, you shifted to certificate forgery, which ended up being punctured. He failed to guide you properly.
5. Paul Ibe: This one only became visible after you lost.
6. David Hundeyin: This one was discredited by Oxford over matters of sexism and fraud by Oxford University. He released stories on Tinubu that were based on speculations and sold them to you. He scammed you.
7. Dele Momodu: Wike referred to him as a professional buttlicker.
8. Timi Frank: In 2022, this one lied that Tinubu did not graduate from Chicago. He claimed EFCC and FBI had a letter stating so. No one saw the letter and no one knew if he was high when he said this.
9. Nduka Obaigbena: This one could not come out openly to use his media houses to endorse you.
Others are: Peter Obi (he cost you the election) and Ifeanyi Okowa (he was not as enthusiastic as you in his desperation). |

We're not trained to be subservient! pharmagba: It's aways a thing of pride to see elders being accorded respect. It is much more good to see when those in position do this to our elders. This tradition of the Omoluabi should be emulated, its not that we cannot disagree with our elders but we do so whilst still according them that respect. It is not difficult to achieve when one considers that we disagree with our bosses at work yet we don't insult them but respectfully express our dissent. Money shouldn't be the criteria showing respect to the elders. |
