Politics › Re: What Are Your Thoughts On State Policing by DMerciful(m): 9:57am On Feb 06, 2024 |
How do you think Canada is? You look for the worst to justify why you're not progressive Minsk24: While there is huge clamour for state policing in Nigeria...i believe we must weigh in the pros and cons .. Personally for me, i believe state policing should only be on a personnel basis...for example, the Bayelsa state police command should comprise of at least 70 percent Bayelsa citizens.... In a federal state, i do not subscribe to the idea of states, owning and funding their own police with different sets of laws .. especially in a heterogenous state like Nigeria....look at Ethiopia for example, each region has well armed forces, this led to tigray defying Federal orders... The USA is battling with crime , because each city have their own police, with varying rules, funding, e.t.c... i do not agree with this, security of a state should be uniform, same rules, one police command, this is to achieve unified security outcomes in the federation... In the USA, City A has better economic, this will translate to a better well funded police force, city B has poor economy, this will led to a weaker police force...City A has Liberal leaders in their councils, this may lead to different rules and regulations for police and law enforcement, City B has conservatives, vice versa... I do not agree with this, security must be uniform, under the direction and leadership of the federal government.... What are your thoughts... |

If we begin to fear them, we loose our status as a majority nationality and also the people who have always determine the positive direction of the country! mightyhaze: Sometimes after you seriously warn against an impending consequence and the culprit go ahead to do it,u let the consequence play out fully..
There's a reason the law warns you not to do sth. Of course it won't hold your hands not to do it,but when you break the law,it doesn't go around bickering all over the place. It simply allows you to bear the consequences.

Lemme advice you all, if you love yourselves don't go out for any protest.
The game Northern Nigeria want ro play is obvious, Tinubu's friend Buhari wrecked Nigeria, North didn't protest, all of a sudden protest is no morr haram?
Buhari and his gang of appointed thieves should cough out everything they stole else they be imprisoned.
Tinubu should better guard up, else... He will be the first President in our 4th republic to be deposed.

If party agents were effective, there wouldn't have been need for the introduction of card readers which eventually led to BVAS and IREV. Party agents would have been sufficient as the necessary check for our electoral process since 1999. You talk as if agents cannot be compromised with people who have money to spend. Were you not here during APC primaries that Tinubu bought presidential aspirants where others were buying delegates? Judgementa1: Stop all these lies Obi never got the highest votes.
If he did why not tell his party agent to submit the C.T.C of manual results they were given after close of vote at each centres across the country. |

Tinubu was not elected by Nigerians, he did not get the highest number of votes to win, neither did he fulfill the constitutional requirements to be sworn in. INEC and the judiciary rigged him in. This man's encounter shows that many unarmed people aspire to become terrorist but lack weapons. Imagine villagers using the arms to fight soldiers in defense of terrorists. It means the villagers want to join terrorism. |

You blamed Jonathan all through but don't want us to blame the incompetent mandate thief, certificate forger and narcotics trafficker. Resurrection212: Some of you that blaming the president for the hardship don't even remember that you have governor in your state or representative in the state house of assembly green chamber and red chamber not to talk on chairman of your local government. Or your governor complain that Tinubu didn't pay him federal allocation just like former president also doing?
Its really sad that many people still believe that there is a messiah in somewhere thinking that if their messiah won the election he would had done things differently. let me tell you the real fact nobody would have does it better .
God even save peter obi that he didn't win the election because by now Nigeria would have just brought down to her knees because of protest that will erupt from both north and southwest.
However I still want Nigeria to pay attention to the history of governance since 1963 we gained our independence. Meanwhile since British gave power to our fathers Nigerians only enjoyed government when regional government was practiced .
You guys supposed to know that since 1999 Nigeria is getting worst in each administration because no administration that Nigerians will not complaining and whites will not accuse our politicians for corruption.
Tinubu shouldn't be blame let our leaders come out and meet the president to let Nigeria practice what will work for them instead of waiting for another disaster messiah. |
