You have not answered the question. Is it unconstitutional to televise it, yes or no? Do Nigerians want it televise, yes or no?
IamNat:
I'm saying the constitution did not say a proceeding must be televised. If it were to be outrightly constitutional, the PDP wouldn't have had to ask for it and all of Atiku's cases in the past would have been televised too. The court would have to look at the Pros and Cons of televising the preceding before reaching a conclusion and if the court decides that it is best not to televise, then it does not mean APC has anything to hide or that PDP is the saint.

Rewarding treachery!

That's why with Obi, a new Nigeria is POssible
Politics › Re: PDP Governors Begin Move To Reconcile Atiku With Wike, Makinde, Others by DMerciful(m): 12:57pm On May 10, 2023
Wike too doesn't believe in equity and fairness!
Bluntemperor:
True!
Let Atiku also leave the Party and rest in Dubai -for he too is part of the major problems there!
For a man who doesn't believe in Fairness, Equity and Justice - only to be telling you that he married from different tribes is just begging the question!
-If he believes otherwise just ask him- why he could not see reason for impossing himself ( as a Northerner Presidential Candidate) and using Ayu as Chairman ( as a Northerner) too!
Anyway,PDP is dead on arrival,is a Chop I Chop Party.
They fooled Nigeria for 17yrs, without any Infrastructures! I beg make Una park somewhere!
Politics › Re: Breaking News! Updates From The Appeal Court (PEPT). by DMerciful(m): 12:56pm On May 10, 2023
So you're saying its unconstitutional to televise the proceedings?
IamNat:
As long as the constitution do not mandate it that it must be televised, APC has a right to defend not itself but the constitution. How many court proceedings have been televised in the past? If not to sway court of public sympathy, why claim that this particular one should be televised? If anyone is interested in seeing the case, they might as well go to the court, of course not everyone will make time out to go, not because there's no room for them but because they have other things to do. Thus, APC has the right to say no, that doesn't make them anything you like to call, it's just defending the rule of law.
Politics › Re: Tribunal Hears Obi’s Motion Today, Atiku’s On Tinubu’s Citizenship Tomorrow by DMerciful(m): 9:02am On May 10, 2023
The only precedence set is for Obi's victory.
Tinubu cannot escape all the counts. Obi came from all direction
Moh247:
cool

Supreme Court just set precedence for Tinubu's victory yesterday

Politics › Re: Osun: Oyetola Congratulates Adeleke After Supreme Court Victory by DMerciful(m): 8:56am On May 10, 2023
He went to court, exhaust till Supreme Court before congratulating. So what are you talking about?
lhordspy:
Not just Oyetola. But Buhari, Tinubu and all the progressive family.

We are progressive. That is exactly what we are. We are not sore losers, we dont cry over spilled milk, we are not cry babies. We wont write letters to our colonial masters in a bid to make mockery of our country.

We fought a good fight. From the election down to the supreme court. We were coordinated, we never the bullied the judges, we never talk down on our judicial system.

we never insulted anyone nor are we going to try to bring Nigeria down just because we lost an election.

That is the difference between we and the children of perdition without home training. That is the difference between a sane leader, Oyetola and a terror!sts kingpin, Peter obi.
Politics › Re: What Are The Takeaways From Osun Judgment In Relation To Presidential Petitions? by DMerciful(m): 8:53am On May 10, 2023
I'm not arguing your point that INEC can make their own guidelines. They make for each election cycle. Once the guidelines are made and shared with political parties and the election commences, INEC cannot change the guidelines until that election cycle is complete.
Whatever learnings are gotten after their review is applied in the next election guidelines.

This is basic administration!
plaindealer:
...but when are you going to show us the part of the electoral act or the Nigerian constitution that INEC can not change anything?

The law says INEC can conduct elections according to INEC's rules, but you are still arguing that they can not do this and that or change this and that?

Feels like I'm going back and forth with a clueless and underdeveloped 2-year-old baby.
Politics › Re: What Are The Takeaways From Osun Judgment In Relation To Presidential Petitions? by DMerciful(m): 8:43am On May 10, 2023
You're insisting on ignorance! INEC can make their own guidelines but cannot change it when the election already commences. Any change in the rules will be for subsequent elections. How hard is this for you to comprehend?
plaindealer:
By law, INEC determines when and how to conduct elections according to the electoral laws and guidelines, , but you are still arguing otherwise?

Are you a troll or you are just acting clueless for fun because this is simple, plain and easily digestible English?

your own opinion and made-up guidelines is pointless, useless, and utterly irrelevant.

Obi and his clueless LP party took INEC to court over the same nonsense and the court trashed their rubbish, INEC determines how they conduct elections and their collation methods, not you or obi.

You people are hard learners.

If you know how things are administered, then you should know that you dont change guidelines when in motion especially when there are many people involved.

You think INEC is like a market where things happens anyhow? This is my last response on this, you're trying to justify irregularities
plaindealer:
Again, it is up to INEC to determine or dictate how and when to conduct elections and there's no law under the sun that says they cannot start or end the process according to INEC.

Your opinion and idea of common sense are just your own opinion and personal sentiments, INEC decides according to. to the powers granted to INEC by the Nigerian constitution

I also asked you to show us where any electoral law forbids INEC from dictating their own methods from start to finish or even from changing direction but you keep coming up with ypour own personal opinion and baseless sentiments.

Stop wasting my time.

Politics › Re: Supreme Court Judgments Has Not Encouraged Reform In Electioneering Process by DMerciful(m): 5:06am On May 10, 2023
BVAS will never be relegated. It is BVAS that transmits both accreditation data and snapped results sheets to the IREV portal or server.

However, getting the physical BVAS to a tribunal is extremely bulky so their reports which is synchronize to the server would suffice
onatisi:
but it seems the purpose of bvas is identification ,to identify the voters and to use the number of accredited voters to checkmate overcoming . So if the use and importance of bvas is relegated or considered secondary what other fool proof method does INEC have again to verify voters
Politics › Re: Supreme Court Judgments Has Not Encouraged Reform In Electioneering Process by DMerciful(m): 3:49am On May 10, 2023
Physical BVAS was required because of INEC mistake of different reports but once all reports are same, physical BVAS won't be needed.
Politics › Re: What Are The Takeaways From Osun Judgment In Relation To Presidential Petitions? by DMerciful(m): 3:42am On May 10, 2023
We're arguing two different things. I never said they cannot make their own guidelines, they can!. But once it is made and election has started, they cannot change the guidelines when the election is in progress! Any change would be for subsequent elections and would be communicated in advance! Its commonsense!
plaindealer:
This is not about your opinion, emotion, or sentiments, this is about the law. and the electoral ACT.

Show us where in the constitution that says INEC cannot dictate its own method or determine when and how they do its job.
Politics › Re: What Are The Takeaways From Osun Judgment In Relation To Presidential Petitions? by DMerciful(m): 2:09am On May 10, 2023
Thats what you said regarding Adeleke. Now you know!
garfield1:
Theres nothing to see.based on today's judgment,it is over
Politics › Re: What Are The Takeaways From Osun Judgment In Relation To Presidential Petitions? by DMerciful(m): 2:08am On May 10, 2023
INEC is not the only stakeholder in an election so they cannot change the rule once the election is in progress. Its commonsense!
plaindealer:
If it's INEC's prerogative to decide its own method of collation, then, of what relevance or importance is how and when they do exactly what they are allowed to do according to the constitution?

Do you have your own special INEC law or electoral act that determines when and how INECT must do what they are allowed to do according to the constitution and if you do, kindly show us.

You don't get to make up your own law or dictate to INECT when and how they do their job.
Politics › Re: What Are The Takeaways From Osun Judgment In Relation To Presidential Petitions? by DMerciful(m): 1:56am On May 10, 2023
Lets see how it goes!
garfield1:
Stop clutching at straws sir.everything concerning presidential has been wiped out.reconfiguration doesnt mean erasing but it has erased everything except register.obi is only depending on secondary data which is useless.with bvas out,he needs irev, voters register and manual results which favours tinubu
Politics › Re: What Are The Takeaways From Osun Judgment In Relation To Presidential Petitions? by DMerciful(m): 1:49am On May 10, 2023
Its INEC prerogative before the guidelines are set but once its done, you cannot change the rules in the middle of the game!
plaindealer:
We've covered this ground before, even though the court and the judicial realm in a suit filed by the LP and Obi himself regarding INEC's mode or method of collation which as we speak is the prerogative of INEC according to the electoral act and the decision of the judiciary.

Beats me why obi and his Pandora mod love to chase their own shadow and labor in vain..
Politics › Re: What Are The Takeaways From Osun Judgment In Relation To Presidential Petitions? by DMerciful(m): 1:46am On May 10, 2023
Again, reconfiguring does not mean erasing, INEC established that.

Again, you don't need the primaries source if there is no disparity in the secondary source among the political parties. Accreditation data will also be compared with NASS, it was same accreditation
garfield1:
Well, theres no info on the bvas itself as it was wiped out before guber polls.what obi has is server reports which are unreliable and incomplete.the bvas as it is is useless atikuobi
Politics › Re: What Are The Takeaways From Osun Judgment In Relation To Presidential Petitions? by DMerciful(m): 1:43am On May 10, 2023
BVAS is necessary only when the data from the server is different from all parties. INEC issued one certified true copy to all parties. Accreditation data will be compared to NASS election since same accreditation covered both elections.
lhordspy:
Lol. BVAS that were reconfigured after the presidential election?

The only thing left to harvest information from is the INEC server. Something which seems like a secondary source to INEC going by Adeleke's case. INEC wont entertain anything else except from BVAS itself.

Wawuu brother. Wawwu.
Politics › Re: What Are The Takeaways From Osun Judgment In Relation To Presidential Petitions? by DMerciful(m): 1:38am On May 10, 2023
Once all the bvas reports corresponds to each other and that of INEC, there would be no need for the BVAS itself. Its only when the reports from the backend is different then its necessary to bring the BVAS. The BVAS machines exist, don't they?
garfield1:
Yes to a layman but thats the law.it is based on facts and evidences not assumptions and wild claims
Politics › Re: What Are The Takeaways From Osun Judgment In Relation To Presidential Petitions? by DMerciful(m): 1:23am On May 10, 2023
So in your wisdom you think the court will say, Obi, its your fault you didnt get bvas data so we can't do anything? That would be a stupid tribunal
garfield1:
Obi never extracted data, remember he couldn't inspect bvas due to guber polls.data from bvas was transfered to server which will bw incomplete like osun

Politics › Re: INEC, APC, Bola Tinubu Footdrag Over Atiku's Request For Live Proceedings by DMerciful(m): 7:30pm On May 09, 2023
The court is actually trying to hide under APC not agreeing. They don't need response from APC in the real sense but they themselves don't wanna televise it so looking for excuse. Ofcourse,APC and Tinubu will say no.
Rayban25:
Why will the court rule against it because apc disagrees? Explain in detail because last time I checked apc is not the only political party and you have no power over the courts
Politics › Re: INEC, APC, Bola Tinubu Footdrag Over Atiku's Request For Live Proceedings by DMerciful(m): 7:25pm On May 09, 2023
Why?
Parachoko:
The APC shouldn't agree for it to be televise
