Niger Delta is not an ethnic group but several groups. I was in Warri in 1998 when Urhobo, Itsekiri and Ijaw were fighting. In Niger Delta , you have Igbos in Delta, Rivers and Imo. So be specific, where in Niger delta are you from? Because I'm from Delta myself but I'm also a Biafran! Taba21: No free born of Niger Delta, is thinking about one false southern unity.
To hell with southern unity beggar's. |

I honestly want the south to unite to achieve restructuring then we can stay our lane. I'm not saying we become friends but other groups all over the world does this especially when there is existential threat. LegendHero: LOL, this thread is funny!

I am Igbo from Delta state but know the truth, an Igbo president cannot give referendum. I want restructuring or Biafra but there are smart ways to achieve it. Start with restructuring and ince that is done then it's easy to achieve Biafra. We do not need to be emotional jimyjames: What exactly do you people want from us? How has this one Nigeria , the FG fought us for 3 yrs killing millions of people to remain on Nigeria helped this country? |
Politics › Re: A United South Is The Down Fall Of The North by DMerciful(m): 8:04pm On Jan 17, 2020 |
In all honesty, Yorubas are not desperate for restructuring and you know it. How can you say you're desperate for restructuring and you're supporting Bubu and El Rufai who would rather die than approve of restructuring. Forget all the socalled insults attributed to Igbos(we are not women for goodness sake) and think if you have heard of any Igbo killing a Yoruba man anywhere in Nigeria before. We are talking of unity to achieve our shared interests and after which we face our own way you're still lamenting for past occurrences 0monnak0da: Yoruba are not as desperate for the presidency as you think. First why do you have that attitude toward the Yoruba and not the Fulani since 1960? How does that get you closer to your strategic goals?
Pretty much all the marginalsation you moan about was institutionalised when you were in power e.g 1960 to 1966,1979 to 1983 Yoruba have endured opposition a lot more than any other section of Nigeria yet we are accused of blocking seaports in the SS. We are benefiting from infrastructure development and our region has bright prospects. We have a natural land border and the biggest share of the coastline so we are good to go and are focused on the future not rivalry. We are contesting for the presidency and if we lose we would prefer any southerner to a northerner at THIS time.
What we are desperate for is restructuring |

How naive can you be? An Igbo president cannot give you referendum! You need to ask how Abacha died! jimyjames: We Igbo's have always wanted one thing a country of our own which we fought and died for sacrificing 3 million of our people, now we have been forced under one Nigeria , we Igbo's contributed to making obasanjo president we did same for good luck Jonathan , now we all know without us Yoruba's will never be president in this country and Igbo's will never be president without Yoruba's and the north will always vote their own, so that's the only thing that should unite us against the north simple , even if we Igbo's become president today the only thing we Igbo's of this generation want an Igbo president to do for us is give us a referendum simple, this country is meant to be broken into 3 nations and it will be better for all of us that we do it the easy way instead of war |

Remember Yoruba never had presidency from 1960 till date! Obj was brought by the military against Falae whom Yoruba chose so dont think you know how to play politics. maynation: From the shackles of north leadership? Is leadership tied to one region forever?? Isn't it always shifted between South and North? What exactly is it I don't understand??
Listen my dear, the easterners are the ones that need to learn politics and find a way to put their house in order first. You lots look like you don't even know what you want, presidency? Biafra? Amotekun? El'zakzaky? USA crushing Iran? Sometimes I find it really funny reading your agitations.
You don't seem to know what you want, your cases are like this.
Igbo 1- I want Biafra. What do you think my fellow Igbos? Igbo 2 will answer by saying, Yes ooo, I want El Zakzaky. Then the third one will say. YESOOO.I want Donald Trump to crush Iran.
As you can see, you all said yes but to unrelated terms, what exactly do you want? Presidency or Lagos state? |

Anything that will break the everlasting marriage between Yorubas and /Hausa-Fulanis will move Nigeria forward. So Kanu is wise to support Amotekun because this might just be the needed catalyst for balkanization LegendHero: Lol. All of you guys are funny!
The media itself is a tool used in manipulating people’s mind and the Yorubas act as the fulcrum upon which Nigeria is currently balanced.
It’s not in your interest to go against what Amotekun stand for, Nnamdi Kanu knows this which explains why he’s supporting the movement.
All you online warriors are inconsequential, if you like shout from now till eternity, the sensible Igbos all around the media space are already falling in line in unison.
Lastly, what will your noise do against Amotekun? Are you the SW governors that implemented it? Did the Yorubas ever beg the SE governors for support? Ain’t you guys thinking too much of yourself? |

So because of the fear of war we should continue to take bullshit? 6 million Isrealites were killed by Hitler forces in second world war and 3million Igbos in the Biafra war but we are stronger so there is nothing the eye will see that it will bleed! who die remain nai be first born! davodyguy: I'm not sure you witnessed the civil war or watched any of the videos of what happened in Biafra land.
I wept today when a man who was 6 years old in 1969 said they were hiding with their parents in a camp some where in Rivers State and a baby was crying of hunger. In order for the Nigerian soldiers not to locate them through the crying baby, the others forced the woman to kill her child.
That's how Terrible war can be.

Denial is the first phase then realization, acceptance and only after can progress be made! Rosskii: Why doesn't Al Jazeera do a documentary on Nigeria's diversification efforts, say in the agro-allied industries?
Why don't they tour the rice processing industries being set up all over the country, showing a country moving to diversify from oil dependency, and create self-sufficiency in food?
Such a documentary will help attract investors and help the very people in poverty they love to show.
Why don't they do a documentary on the FG's school feeding programme - the largest school feeding programme in Africa - that's feeding millions of our kids for free in school?
Or what about the ongoing rail revolution? Rail infrastructure lowers business costs, which will help grow prosperity. The strides we are making in that sector are worth covering. For goodness sakes' we are setting up factories to BUILD the trains ourselves, as we speak. Why does Al Jazeera ignore that?
Why don't they do a documentary on Eko Atlantic - the largest single ongoing project in Africa today, the African Dubai, set to employ hundreds of thousands of Nigerians in the years ahead?
I guess all that would be far too 'positive' in their endless quest to air negative news about Nigeria. |

But in this case there is neither dismissal nor ratification because the act of justice means there's consequences for injustice at the same time. Nothing systemic was done by the supreme court to improve the system. There is no way INEC should be allowed to go scot free! wirinet: This is besides the point. You asked why the supreme court did not punish anyone, I told you that no one was brought before the supreme Court for punishment. A case has to come to the supreme Court all the way from the high courts before they can make judgements. Besides, it's the lower courts that punishes, the supreme Court either ratifies or dismiss. |

Politics › Re: PDP Press Statement On Supreme Court Judgement by DMerciful(m): 2:59am On Jan 15, 2020 |
So why did the supreme court not punish anyone? seunmsg: There is nothing strange in the judgement, it was simply the judiciary correcting the wrongs perpetrated by INEC and PDP.
What I actually found strange today is the information that INEC declared Ihedioha winner after cancelling APC votes in 388 polling units. They cancelled the voice/votes of over 200,000 voters just to be able to declare Ihedioha. I’m really disturbed that it took the intervention of the Supreme Court to stop such a fraudulent move. I shiver at the thought that they almost got away with silencing the electoral choices of over 200,000 valid voters. |
