Thanks....will order sharparly bigrovar: I use qasa rechargeable. Other than battery failure the fan has been working fine close to a year now. Uses between 4w at lowest speed to 26w at highest speed ( which is on per with electric motor fan) the medium speed at 15w is ideal for normal use. |

Ok..thanks. will check for it efuro: u've been helpful to almost everyone. my suggestion is to get dis type of fan. my is ugly but does it's job. it 4yrs counting. the ba3 are long gone (9 months to it purchase) and it's of no load to inverter cos it's 35w with 15v DC adaptor. |

Charge your battery with Nepalight or generator to see if the battery is gone or ur solar system is not well installed. dicksonadams: My fangpusun cc do not have display only 3 blue light that blinks, though it has a port for a special cable for reading thorugh dongle on phone or laptop. but i dont have that dongle it is very expensive.

Like others have rightly said, it could be ur battery is not getting enough charge or near its end life. Check ur Fangpusun if the daily harvest is around 2400WH....this is what you need to charge ur battery if it was flat. dicksonadams: Chai my solar is suffering me now... Let me explain:
I stop charging my inverter with Nepa for almost a month now and I noticed since a week ago now the battery now run down quick. I might go to work and when I get back the inverter might only last 30 nins or less.
I use just a single 200ah battery and two 80 watt connect in series and 2 130watt connect in series and both now connected in series to my fangpuson cc.
Do charger with only solar destroy a battery?
Dmerciful and other guru please have mercy on me oh |

The itracer is just a beautiful piece....i love the beauty, looool. Just bought one for myself Will post pics after installation late dec. RipVanWink: ep solar data storage/display capacity isnt as robust as morning star, i have used both, and i believe fangpusen is built along the lines of morning star/outback.
the major issue i have against fangpusen is that it is a lil bulky and has an internal cooling fan, hich may fail or stop due to dirt and thus the system may overheat and spoil. |

Robust system you have and with you battery bank capacity you will be able to adhere to max of 30% DOD unlike us killing the batteries we have due to low bank capacities. I always prefer sealed batteries for safety reasons and the nature of my house but they sure arent as rugged or durable as the flooded types....considering migration sha but the cost is scary now Thanks for sharing....inspired abunafiu: As per harvest, I am fortunate to have a 4kw PV array being controlled by a classic 150 mppt device. My battery bank is 48v 450ah Trojans. My inverter is also a 4kw Mustpower Inverter charger. From lessons learnt from seniors, I had to add 2 MNSPD for extra protection against surges, ligthnenng etc. I have been living off grid for almost 6 months now. My harvest has between 10kwh and 16kwh daily. By 6am my battery voltage is usually not less than 49v except for few instances where I recorded 48.5v. Even though I recently observed some slacks in 2 of my Trojans (bought June 2014) but the overall performance is still like new. I observed that each time I drain the battery bank below 47V, those 2 batts will drop to 3.8v while others remain at 5.9v. Since I observed this I have always avoided deep discharge though once in a while I have to. But I can comfortable discharge my battery to 47v without any worries. The problem starts when I go deeper than 47v which should be totally avoided. So I plan to remove the the 2 batteries over time but replacement is not an option for now due to unavailability of the batts nationwide. (interested seller can pm me if you have 2 spare T105 Trojan for sale). Saipro was kind enough to share a solution to me(not battery repairs) I am yet to implement his ideas but I am sure it's going to work since he uses d same. Owning the classic mppt was one of the best decision I have taken thanks to Saipro.
For those who think most of us are not sharing enough about our set up, kindly direct specific questions to individuals, others can contribute too. Fortunately for some of us here we have taken our relationship in this forum beyond nairaland. Nothing stops you from being more diplomatic in asking for help, trust me many will be willing to help. |

GeorgeD1 please clarity how a system installed at ground level will supply hot water to lintel level or are you referring to a system that uses a pressure pump? GeorgeD1: efuro,
fortunately again, that's not correct. the solar water heater can be installed just about anywhere. the most important thing is direct and unhindered access to sunlight - much like normal pv modules. so, what applies to solar pv also applies to it and perhaps to a lesser degree. there are different variations in installation models. you can even install on the flat ground right in front of your house. no water tower, no need to mount it on the roof. the possibilities are endless. as for waiting until you want to set up a new site, again, there is no need for that. solar water heaters can always be modified to fit into any existing plumbing system. that is what i did. the only thing that you need to consider is the exact location where you want the water heater to be and then your plumber will modify your house piping network accordingly.
funny enough, even as a tenant, you can still use solar water heaters. it's really amazing what the human mind can achieve if only we choose to think outside the box.
break the myth! |

Will definitely have something like this when the time comes GeorgeD1: efuro, abunafiu, dmerciful, johnkester, all,
still on my solar water heater calculations, i made a very optimistic assumption in my calculations about the availability of public power which i thought some keen member would point out to the house. i had allocated a 12hr average power supply per day in arriving at my monthly running cost for electric water heaters. now, the question is, what if supply increases more than 12hrs? then the running cost gets higher. again, what if there's no power at all? then you are left with no choice than to run your fuel guzzling plant to power your water heater (that is for those that can afford it) or alternatively you're forced to go cold - no hot water, no joy! and i dare say that there are countless households where their electric water heaters have become mere objects of decoration - disused and abandoned all because there is seldom public power to run them and the 2.5kva or 5kva generators they have just can't cope with the added load. on the other hand, with solar water heaters, the more the sunshine, the merrier! and even on cloudy days, you still get hot water because you don't need the full intensity of sunshine for your vacuum tubes to work. |
Science/Technology › Re: How my inverter is saving me in this poor power supply and no-fuel situation by DMerciful(op): 3:20pm On Nov 23, 2016 |
There is nothing really difficult with inverter installation. basic consideration is that u want the inverter AC input to be connected to mains supply(NEPA) or generator and the inverter output to power specific loads in the house. these specific loads you can separate from the distribution board. You can practice using a small computer UPS and learn from there. You can also watch you-tube videos haslaw: Hello house,
I am an electrical engineer with a fair practical knowledge of electrical wires and connections. I am looking for someone I can learn inverter installations from. Something like the practical aspects of inverter installations.

You would be lucky if this offer is still available. You dont know the value of what he has put up for sale and like he said if you're buying afresh, u'll spend twice the cost and TBH, he is right. you can always sell that inverter and get a bigger one. ceelog: I had considered calling him but the thing is there is no warranty on used products (if anything happens no refund) and the inverter capacity is small for future scale up. As per reading the entire pages...well make I continue sha |

hazelj put up his system for sale. it is a good deal and i would recommend you contact him ASAP if others have not already done that. ceelog: Greetings all. I just stumbled into this thread while doing some search. Please Kiekie1, DMerciful, GeorgeD, efuro and other solar enthusiasts can you please simply breakdown what a new solar entrant needs to start his solar story till full scale up. For instance, I need to start with the following, a 210w plasma (run for 6hrs), a dstv, 2 rechargeable fans 30w each (runnin for 12hrs), 5 energy 18w bulbs (run for 5hrs), phone charging and deep freezer (during the day only). I can spare 400k and the start scaling up.
Is it feasible? Are second hand purchases adviceable? Which are preferred brands for each component even if it means buyin in bits?
Pls I tried to read all 186pages but couldnt. |
