The water coming from AC is as clean as the environment u stay. Its not distilled at all and even the AC get dirty as d dirty air from which d condensate comes out is not pure. Don't dull yourself guy and check before giving wrong advice unless you want him to ruin his batteries!
viazi:
They may just be purchasing AC Water. That water coming out of AC is one of the best distilled water.

Politics › Re: What Can Nigeria Learn From The BREXIT Debacle? by DMerciful(m): 4:47pm On Jul 01, 2016
So u're wiser than the majority of UK citizens that voted to leave?
sumborri:
if I say I didn't laugh at the response on the first paragraph, then hell awaits me.

The fact is that I feel them brits wanna rescinde their leave decisions but don't wanna appear silly, it made no economic sense to leave the EU, there has been an increase in xenophobic attacks since the brexit result, the UK economy isn't tied to any tangible product and thus its growth indices is heavily dependent to being a major market player, how could such come to be when they have isolated themselves from the rest of europe. Most annoyingly the leave campaigners didn't have any concrete leadership plans if the brexit went in their favour. The behaviour of the scots and possible feelers from other countries that make up the UK , show a possiblity of breaking the UK as we know it, it makes no sense to leave the EU simply because some pompous brits feel overshadowed by germany as the central power base. Yet in a UK arrangement same peeps bully others. Thus I ask, weren't other members of the UK consulted before the brexit vote ? Didnt they realise all the possible fall outs of the result ?

Same applies to seccesionalist groups like the ipob, avengers etc. It might be noble and best fit to leave the nigerian entrapption, yet its clear that what is at fore front is the aggitation and idealogical bias borne out of real or imagined wrongs. Critical issues like political, economic plans, structures and models for the new colonies or countries aren't given much attention. Most of them could acheive the seccesion and find themselves in the doldrums.

PassingShot:
You're not smart at all. If you were, you would know that that statement was made by Keita who was a member of PDP, in reaction to PDP giving its presidential ticket to GEJ in 2011.

Do a proper Google search and bring out the original news here. Not one idiotic claim by one nonentity trying to justify his choice during campaign.

Are you trying to be mischievous? Can you see the rate of inflation always accelerate under ur tin god buharigate?
Sweetlemon:
You people are NOT ok at all. Ok let's use your logic of increase in bread price. According to the Picture Buhari left it at 70k right?
So how come it increased to N220? Who has been increasing it all this while?

Bottom line, bread is one particular commodity that has NEVER been stagnant for as long as I can remember in Nigeria.
I remember quite well that bread was N150 just about 5 years ago. Wait a minute, who was in power then when it increased to N220?

Quality doesn't necessarily mean price but the quality of the design. At the same time all solutions must have a higher cost-benefit comparatively to make if the right choice.

chris81964:
Here we go again. What calculations did you use to arrive at 2 kw in panels?
Did you do an actual analysis of his usage? How many Watt hours did you calculations account for?
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by DMerciful(m): 3:13pm On Jun 30, 2016
People make solar solutions so expensive that potential users are scared to even attempt it. Solar system is modular in nature and as such can always be expanded worst case you sell some components and buy a bigger one but the panel itself is easily expandable. And the system I gave him is based on my system I installed myself and its working well.
kiekie1:
Hmmmn! its absolutely wrong for you to publicly type installation cost like this. Its totally unethical because you didn't put into consideration; height of roof"storey building spec", type of roofing sheet"aluminium or asbestos", pro solar roof mount or locally fabricated profiles, complex load isolation which you suddenly meet in some houses now etc . 1.5kva would work but can't really charge 4/6 batteries(series-parrallel if its a 24v system) & you forgot asking if client was totally offgrid"dependent on solar system alone" or hybrid .. Considering futuristic expansion. if client can a bit afford 3kw / 3.5kva / 4kva inverter, its OK by me because on solar clients keeps talking of expansion especially when the installation wasn't substandard ... Don't always relent on QUOTATIONS this days , simply task yourself by calling and discussing a bit to get good value for your money . Thanks ...
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by DMerciful(m): 7:43am On Jun 30, 2016
You don't need 3.5kva for solar system to power just a fridege a d maximum load. Plan for 1.5-2kva. Solar panel of 250W*8 will cost you 520k, Charge controller@ 80k, inverter 1.5kva 50k, battery 200AH*4 @ 360k, installation 30k. This system should fix ur need wella
nasonaso:
I need this urgently please. I need a 3.5kva or 5kva solar system. I am starting from the scratch I want to power my deep freezer, just one. No Air-conditioned system. What's d total cost of each cos am starting from d scratch. During weekends am always at home though not everytime. I need a analysis of wat it will cost me.

What would be the total Vmp and Ioc i would get from the 2 by 2?
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by DMerciful(m): 6:39am On Jun 27, 2016
Best connection is 2 by 2 ie series-parallel.
xreakz:
Voc = 37.33V
Vmp =29.81V
Ioc =8.93A
Pmp=250W
I want to connect 4 solar panels of the rating above in parallel to get as much current as possible. Is it a good setup?

Battery to be connected in a 24V setup
2v 500Ah Gel
Max Charging current is 100A
Float is 2.23V
Cycle is 2.35V

It can power 1kva conveniently. I bought my solar panels from Alaba and of course they were imported from China. I don't really know d Hitachi inverter nor d battery but while I'm OK with used inverters, I am not OK with used batteries. Can you share the model of d Hitachi inverter?
jt2016:
OK what I was asking is, since you have 1.5KVA I was wondering if a total load of 1KVA was possible assuming you have gadgets totalling 1KVA will it carry it?
Anyway in another development, Let me ask you the following perhaps you can advise me better..
I am planning to procure a used Japanese Hitachi Inverter + battery and then use a locally available solar panel in Nigeria.. what do you think about this? any advise?

I'm not sure I get ur question clearly but let me try. My inverter is 1.5kva pure sine wave inverter. D solar array is 250w*3=750w. I have 200AH*2 plus 150AH *2 batteries. Average load is less than 250w except during peak perion when I need to use washing machine n fridge if NEPA is out for long.

How many KVA do you get in total?
Science/Technology › Re: Thread For Solar System/Electricity Owners in Nigeria. by DMerciful(m): 1:34pm On Jun 19, 2016
Its not a change over but a mains disconnect. I met it here, installed by d landlord.
emytech:
The boxes are:
1. PV Array Breakers
2. DC Breakers for CC output to batteries
3. AC Isolator (Breakers for load distribution)

For now all Lightning load (LED Bulbs), All Ceiling fans within d house(only turned on when needed), All TVs and Decorders, Home computing, video game, a refrigerator(Timer installed to operate during the day 10am to 3pm) are all connected.
Average loading- Peak bw 750 to 900W
Panels are connected 2-Series, 2-Parallel.
Planned using PC monitoring, but yet to get the RS485 to USB cable (software already installed on my PC).

Nice system you got, but do you really need a CHANGE-OVER SWITCH?
Science/Technology › Re: Thread For Solar System/Electricity Owners in Nigeria. by DMerciful(m): 10:53am On Jun 19, 2016
What are those boxes by the trunking? What are the loads you connected or better still what's your average loading in wattage? How did you connect your panels 2*2? Do you have the remote meter for d controller or you plan to do PC monitoring? See my system below.
emytech:
Nice Remark, that was looked into during the installation, as at now (Rainy cloudy day) there is no way you will harvest the 1000W from the Array.
An upgrade is planned for November when additional 4 x 250W panels will be installed alongside a 60A MPPT Charge controller.

Science/Technology › Re: Thread For Solar System/Electricity Owners in Nigeria. by DMerciful(m):
That charge controller is too small for your setup as the maximum power it can handle is 780w. You'll be loosing 220w during peak sunlight. You need 40a controller.
Decent setup BTW. Pretty neat.
emytech:
My Solar power setup.
Powered by 4 x 250W Mono panels
A 30A Charge controller
4 x 200Ah Batteries
A 3.5KVA Pure sine wave inverter.

Got all the materials online from KONGA.com, did installation myself and been running for sometime now.
Cant remember the last time i turn on my generator.

Thanks....I got d angel TV after rescanning. Since I have a Dstv family subscription for my wife n kids, I don't want to change d position. Maybe I should move from multi TV to ses5 if Congo TV shows all. What's is the degrees for Congo TV esp if an moving from multi TV position? Thanks

With multi TV, you can watch Angel TV, by just rescanning.

You can then use the second dish to track ses 5 for Congo TV. They are showing all matches at the euros
