numericalguy: Hamid Ali is arrogance and incompetency rolled into one.
The man is so dumb, incompetent and has a history of failures. The only achievement he made was being an active member of the Abacha killer squard. Hamid Ali was the evil military man that killed Ken SaroWiwa. I've heard that too. I learnt Hamid Ali personally killed Ken Saro-Wiwa. He sure looks like a cold-blooded murderer. |

Billyonaire: Both sides of the arguments has a point, I think what has happened here is the war of ego. He needs to wear the Customs uniforms as a morale booster the officials of the organization and to show that he is operating as a Custom Officer instead of Buhari's personal attack dog.
The Senate wants him to wear the uniform to show that he is answerable to Nigerians and not Buhari as a person, but I equally think that asking him to wear uniform is to reduce his ego and make him appear more of a servant to Nigerians than a boss of the people.
I think the man himself is not very intelligent in how he approaches issues. No one is above the People. And the Senate represents the People of Nigeria as they were elected to serve the People by the people.
Buhari must warn his team that they must humble themselves before the Senate or should be relieved of their position.
But then, the President does not obey the rule of law, so his nominees are equally learning from the 'above-the-law' President. Megalomaniac Buhari does not believe he serves the people. He believe he came to RULE OVER THE PEOPLE AS HIS SUBJECTS. |

Olabestonic001: Yes. And they were so weak that they roundly and soundly reduce the egos of you guys! What do you even know about conquests? You mean all those village square battles, right? All those hamlets facing each other, ba? Those are not wars! Never! Igbos have fought only 2 wars all their lives- Aba women riots and the Civil war- and they lost both. Otherwise, tell me which war (s) you've ever fought apart from those. Kindly, don't mention battles- mention wars. Again, its foolish to even mention Ilorin (a place of grinding metal) was ever conquered. Its one of such foolish rants by you lost low-self esteem tribe. The Ilorin people decided to embrace Alimi and his goons due to oppression from the Oyo empire; nothing more. And, you can never discard the facts that your forbears thought they were 'something' in the art of war till the Yorubas used one of her smallest trick in her war archive to reduce your Biafra to rubble. Till tomorrow, you and your people still fear our dexterity at war and are always wishing us evil. But, evil will always go back to those who wished it even as it went on Ojukwu and his goons who thought they could push the war on us but ended up sacrificing his dear people for lacking understanding of excusing us from his madness. Kanu also wished evil on us but he is now in a cage and he has sacrificed more than 50 of his co-evil wishers. Guy, be warned that to wish, conjure, imagine or plan evil on the Yoruba race will always boomerang! We are those whom GOD has blessed and those who wished us evil will always pay with their blood. We don't wish Igbo evil but we know they wished us evil always by their utterances. They wished we should loose 3 Million people too (despite that being an off-shoot of their folly). But, the more you wish us evil, the more shall we escape it and the more shall you fall into your scheming. Till Igbo nation stop wishing Yoruba evil (as you all have been showing), Igbo nation will NEVER be free! It shall continue to wallow in the pains of demonic scheming. Your effusions have no bearing. Let me outline some factoids very clearly 1) yorubas can never claim victory over Igbos in the civil war. Historical facts have it that only the world powers can. British naval ships and Russian.fighter jets enforced the blockade on Biafra which led to the ceasefire. Not some ragtag ground fighters who were kidnapped on the streets and bustops of ojota and Ipaja by hausa soldiers and forced to the war fronts. 2.) That yoruba warriors were beheaded by ladies from dahomey. 3.) That Illorin, Offa are yoruba towns conquered and taken by the Fulani caliphate till today. 4). Igbos have fought wars Arochukwu, Ekumeku (the longest pre-colonial war against british on African soil). 5.) That Igbo seccesion (Igbos are free already, they live better than you do economically) from nigeria is not dependent on yorubas. They are not siamese twin. Just that those who stand on their way will be called out and challenged as usual, yoruba or otherwise. 6.) yoruba can NEVER secceed from nigeria sucessfully, their ports already belong to the north and they have enough muslims subservient to the north and ready to truncate any attempt to run away with Seaports and airport that belong to the north and built with proceeds from groundnuts other products not indigenous to yorubaland. These are factoids you can only fight but they'll stand stubborn staring at us forever. |
Politics › Re: Nnamdi Azikiwe's Speech On The Threat By The North To Secede In 1953. by DocHMD: 1:10pm On Mar 13, 2017 |
Olabestonic001: Your own version of truth! It is a Treason to try to secede from Nigeria. Nnamdi Azikwe ensured we put that in our constitution. Now, why can't the Biafran soldiers organize a crack team to invade only the military HQ in Lagos? Or does it mean they must always turn everything to rough? Did USA begin to kill many Pakistanis so that she can kidnap/kill Osama Bin Laden? No. She sent a crack team to bring him down! If Ojukwu was that smart, why couldn't he have organize such a sophisticated crack team to take on the HQ? Why couldn't he have localized the fight on the HQ? Why attempt to cause the blood of the Yorubas to flow so that he can 'deal' with the HQ? Were you expecting them to spill Yorubas blood without a reply? Unless you want to be damned dishonest, Ojukwu led an aggression on a people and he was hit too hard that the psychology has never left till today. That's just the simple truth. More so, his invasion was a follow-up to 'help invade Yoruba land' when her people were not witnessing a bloodbath. He was trying to say " well, since my people are fighting a bloody war, and you guys seems not to be fighting, I must kill some of you Yorubas so that you'll know that the war is real. Maybe if I do that, they'll understand my pains". That's what I can hear him saying as he approved the invasion of the Yoruba lands. To him, he opined that the Yorubas were weaklings who can be used as a pawn in his bloody war! Till date, most of you guys still have that very foolish notions. What you all don't know is that it's far easier to under-estimate the Yorubas because of their timid look but having an encounter with them can be too much to handle. That's where most of you guys are missing it. Taking the Yorubas for a ride will always spell doom for anyone who does that. The truth remains that you haboured killers in your compound which also made you culpable. Ojukwu was justified to have invaded. Simple! If yorubas are all these things you say they are, they won't have emirates on their lands and would have chased the hausa vandals back to sokoto in 1966. They wouldn't have been beheaded by female warriors from dahomey. Strong people don't keep foreign emirate. Even the Igalas a minority have muslims but don't have Emirates. If there is a any majority group that has bragging right it is the Igbos who have never been conquered by any Indigenous African group. |

Olabestonic001: No. Actually, all Igbos who were in Lagos during the war were more than protected by Yorubas; go and read history. Rather, it was Biafra that first blew us Casino Cinema at Yaba- killing dozens of innocent civilians. To me, trying to march into Yoruba land was the nadir of the Biafran armies. Had it been they tried to attack -in an isolated manner- Gowon or whoever, it would have been treated at such. But, they had the temerity to attempt to march through a Yoruba land and with such arrogance as you're putting up here for justification shows well that the Yorubas were very very right in using all possible means to stop the senseless war and castrate a generation of your kinds that would have been glad if they were being considerate with them. Write this down today, if we find ourselves in such position again, we will use the same method again especially a set of people who doesn't know how to appreciate the magnanimity of others! Write it down again; if you provoke a war, we would NEVER EVER be magnanimous to your senselessness and if you try poo in our terrain, we'd be more over-reaching than Awo was. Sorry, blackmails don't work with us. You are being dishonest to yourself and it's a tragedy against your very self. We both know the FIRST SHOT of the war was fired against Biafra by Lt Walbe (if my memory stands with me) on the orders of Lagos HQ. That shot resulted in ore invasion and other Biafran agression against lagos in order to defend themselves. You cannot habour a sniper in your house to kill people in my compound and expect me not to invade your house in defense if you can not deal with that sniper. This is the pure truth, and it is duty of all good men and women to protect this historical facts from revisionists like you. |

France is a friend of Biafra and even during the Nigeria/Biafra war, they assisted us so much. In this current agitation for Biafra, France has sympathy for us.
