The idea of a god bring fear and look at how Nigeria is today. "There is god o" even on national tv. The amounts of churches you have is more that schools. You rely on the Jewish god to solve solvable problems. Religion makes you your own enemies. Too many churches, yet number one criminals in Africa.

Can you empirically prove that belief in GOD makes a nation poor? Is USA's motto not "IN GOD WE TRUST"?

Are you against the Christian GOD or are you against the idea of gods? Can you prove that Christianity doesn't support creativity?

Can you prove that Christians make no attempt at solving problems in the society?

On nairaland,nothing else interest me more than people who pray to a Jewish idea of god. I think is a serious issue that needs to be addressed. I have seen some ex Christians set free from the blackmail you call religion. Funny thing is that a white girl actually introduced me to nairaland by default. It's actually popular than you think

This is directed just at bishops na. It's just like a university saying all students of computer science must own a laptop of theirs. It doesn't mean the school is saying all students of the school including those in other departments are required to have laptop. Just that if you intend to study this particular course, this is the prerequisite for it.

So God stating it for Bishops doesn't mean it's also his intention for everyone else.

With this argument, one can say that the epistles to the Romans and Corinthians and Ephesians apply only to those people, and not to every Christian.

Confessing that religion is the best part of this forum betrays your claim to atheism. To further confess that you have no interest in anything apart from religion deals the coup de grace to your claim that you're an atheist. Aren't atheists supposed to be disinterested in religion?

If you want to interpret Jn. 14:28 literally, then you must also interpret Heb. 2:9 literally to mean that when Jesus was created(which is not true), he was created lower than angels in rank.

We know Jesus is the Son of Man. Nobody has problem with that.

Apostle means "one who is sent out". GOD and His Spirit sent Jesus to redeem man. Nobody has problem with that.

We also know that Jesus Christ is the Almighty GOD; equal with the Father.

I asked you to provide a place in the Bible that says "GOD will resurrect people" through Jesus Christ.

Resurrection coming through Jesus Christ means He is the One who brought resurrection.

If you claim Jesus Christ is only a means through which resurrection was conveyed: that same verse says death came in by one man. Now was Adam only a means through which death was conveyed? Who gave death through Adam?

Where is it written in the Bible that GOD will resurrect people "through" Jesus Christ

JWs argue that Jesus died and GOD cannot die. As if death had any power over Jesus. As if Jesus died was not the One who yielded His life for sin.

Can you imagine? A christian is bringing up the argument "Jesus died. Can GOD die"?

That's like mocking Jesus Christ. If He chose to remain in His glory and not give up His life, would anybody be alive today to question Jesus' position as GOD?
