Lennycool: "And if a man sells his daughter to be a maidservant she shall not go out as the maidservant do", that's from the verse you simply point out as taking housemaids, when someone is sold does that not constitute as slavery. People did "sell" themselves to other people as slaves those days, you get? So when a family for one reason or the other decides with their daughter that she would be "sold" to a man as a servant, she is not allowed to leave as do the male servants. This is because most times, men eventually sleep with their maidservants and even get children out of them. She cannot leave a man she probably has slept with, and then end up as another man's wife. That's sexual infidelity. It is funny that you closed your eyes to the directives GOD gave in the same text that, however, if the maidservant is mistreated or disdained in anyway, or if her master begins to find unnecessary fault with her, she could leave and be free. LOL. Atheists. |

Lennycool: I see you ignored David's punishment, were his wives would be raped and his baby killed at the behest of God the loving father. You also avoided the part were the bible wholeheartedly advocated slavery and genocide and rape. Cherry picking from what you can defend. GOD told David that since he slept with someone's wife, someone will sleep with his wives. This happened when Absalom slept with his father David's concubines. The Bible text does not say that the concubines were raped. Probably Absalom slept with his father's concubines to prove to Israel that even David's wives had left him(2 Sam 16:21-22). Probable also is that the intercourse was consensual, although the text doesn't say so either. Notice, however, that if Absalom raped the women, David would not have punished them by shutting them up for the rest of his life(2 Sam 20:3). And if the intercourse was consensual, that would've been adultery and the women would have been stoned to death. |

frank317: A whole ur God didn't see anything wrong in taking housemaids as concubines, instead he instructed them on how they should be treated. Lol, he should have also instructed our ignorant forefathers on how twins should be slaugthered. Smh Point out the things wrong with taking housemaids as wives, in consonance with Exod. 21:7-11. Bear in mind that GOD permitted polygamy then. Moreover, taking a third or fourth wife is not a crime like killing twins. |

Lennycool,
GOD is the Creator of man, and He destroys him when man continues in unrepentant rebellion. That should clarify the slaughter of the canaanites and the heathen nations, of whom GOD had said their cup were full(See. Gen.15:16). It's also funny you tend to ignore the abominations these nations committed such as: murder, child-sacrifice, etc.
It was a common practice in ancient times to take housemaids as concubines. GOD simply gave directions on how such concubines should be treated in Exod. 21:7-11.
Concerning Zech. 14:1-2, GOD promised destruction on Jerusalem by the hands of the heathen because of their sins. GOD would simply remove His protection from Jerusalem, and these heathen(and sometimes atheistic) nations will do what they know best how to do: kill, maim, rape and enslave.

Lennycool: God is fictional, most of the stories in the bible are false, only his worshippers kill. Yes or no: did GOD kill anybody? If the Bible is a fiction book, why do you believe the killings in it? Are the killings not fictional? |
Christianity Etc › Re: If Jehovah Is Omnipresent, Where Was It When Eve Was Talking To The Snake? by DoctorAlien(m): 5:42pm On Sep 23, 2016 |
Lennycool: Yes it can. Take for example voldermort in the harry potter franchise, he is evil and obviously a psychopath but he doesn't exist outside the fictional world. Same as your God, the bible is a just a book and it's God a fictional character. His traits, behaviors and actions make him a psychopath. You've seen voldermort. But you've not seen GOD. And you believe He doesn't exist. How then is He a psychopath? If GOD does not exist, how then did He kill the people He killed? Do you believe GOD killed anybody? Remember He never existed. |

Lennycool: Lol. Lmao at this reasoning, so your conclusion is that there are only Christians and people that hate God in this world, what a simplistic and puerile conclusion. What about Muslims, do they not believe in God are they misotheist, or the Jews who also believe in God, what about every other religion beside Christianity that are monotheistic. Gods holy nature also supports rape, slavery, sexism and genocide. So whose lifestyle does God have the right to condemn. You think just putting a picture of Einstein under a quote makes it seem more intelligent. But my quote stands true. The divide between true Christians and those who hate GOD is clear enough. You cannot deny it. You neither know who GOD is nor what His character is. You've just heard about GOD. Anyway, hate GOD and embrace destruction or turn to Him receive eternal life. All the best. |

Personally I have no opinion on the issue, because I'm not an Easterner. I'm just watching the drama unfold. May whoever is truly right succeed. the god of the bible doesn't exist as well, but I'm against the actions that non existent entity causes. The question was never whether something that doesn't exist can cause action: they can. The question is: why do you atheists vituperate GOD when you see a Christian falter? Do you vituperate leprechauns and fairies when their followers falter? The biafra analogy: do you insult biafra whenever an Igbo is in the news for the wrong reason? |

AnonyNymous: I don't believe I 'descended from a worm'. You can read up on evolution if you want, its been explained a million times on here but the misconceptions still remain. *** How can something that doesn't exist be insane? Well let's take the Biafra republic now. It doesn't exist right? Not yet at least. But yet, its a major national issue with people bothe for and against it. People are dying for it, police are shooting for it, some people just disregard it, some people are ready to do anything for it. Someone is even in prison for it. Yet, it doesn't exist. So the new evolution has it that you no longer descended from a worm? So how did you come about? Do you hate Biafra or do you refer to Biafra as insane? |

AnonyNymous: I don't 'search the bible frantically' . . . at times when their delusion and ignorance is displayed, I try to apply reason with them to show how insane, perverted, and self contradictory their god is. Hoping that they might actually realise their error.
And who did your god specifically tell? Someone who wrote it on a stone tablet found somewhere in the middle east? And you really believe that a cattle rearer who scribbled some things on a stone can be trusted as to having been in direct contact with he master of the universe, who has gone into hiding ever since the invention of the camera phone? How can something that does not exist be insane? Don't you think it is much more ridiculous to believe you descended from a worm? |

Have you not read in that same Bible that GOD is angry with Christians who misrepresent Him? |

urahara: The very complex nature of thsi supposed god also demands a creator Yes. GOD is very complex. Too complex for our finite brains to comprehend. However, this logic of yours will lead one into assuming there is an infinite number of Creators. If GOD is so complex that somebody must be His Creator, then that Creator is far more complex and so demands a Creator, and so on... Where does that lead us? We also know that order cannot come out of chaos/disorder. Therefore there is a Creator. |

That GOD is omni-benevolent does not mean He should tolerate and entertain sin. He is a holy GOD, and He will rid His creation of sin and sinners. If one continues in sin and rebellion and despises the salvation which GOD has provided in Jesus Christ, that person is assigning himself to destruction. |

Such abhorrent teaching only shows a God with egoistic inferior complex far from the omni-benevolent being He is taken to be. And what would also be your stand point to His beneficence and benevolence if He has set aside a confine to subject souls to unending perdition? I'm glad you admitted they were disobedient. |

butterfly88: I don't....he took a risk and was hoping for a good outcome..but he also knew before hand that no good will come out of this risk and hope
how contradicting GOD foresaw a creation marred by disaster just because of rebellion against Him. He made a provision through which creation would be salvaged should such thing happen. No provision for salvation, however, was made for the person through whom rebellion would come. Satan cannot be forgiven, neither can he be saved. He is doomed and destined for destruction and that is it. Why? Because He chose to introduce sin into GOD's perfect creation. Now, GOD made a provision for man, whom Satan deceived, to be saved. GOD made Satan a powerful and beautiful angel with the choice of obeying GOD or disobeying Him and sowing the seeds of discord between GOD and His creation. Sadly, he chose the latter and we're here today. However, it will not always be like this. |

by this logic do you mean God doesn't know beforehand that Satan will become a criminal?
lol..bros ure just bent on killing my battery, there is no point rearranging the seats of a sinking boat I guess.... Wrong. Risk is not a product. You don't take risk because you don't know the outcome. You take risk because you hope everything works out fine even though it could go wrong. By that definition, people who know very well that children do turn into criminals should stop giving birth to avoid producing criminals. LOL. Nice discussing with you, anyway. |
