now I would be lying if I say I understand what you wrote here. But thanks for commenting.

Well... there's no delicate way to say this, but I am sure you've heard that someone stayed in oversea for a long time, then someday he just packs up and head to his village?

I was trying to tell you what is assumed that usually brought them back; "Agwu".
I said that because you've stayed 10years in the U.K and the only thing on your mind is just to come back to Nigeria?
Goodluck shaa...but let it not be the Agwu that is calling you back home.

I do not know what your people calls it, but in Igbo land, anyone that becomes a native doctor once has an agwu that was disturbing him at a time.

You are still making this comment years after it was debunked? Was "Jihadi Jack", Letts who was stripped of his British citizenship in 2019 by the Home Office not from white British family? He held dual citizenship Canada and British still he was stripped of his British citizenship for the same crime Shamima Begum committed. So what is your point exactly?

Even the US has many downsides compared to the UK (and vice versa). Sometimes it's just the dream - some have never been to Canada or the US but rate them higher than the UK based on what they've heard or seen on TV.

For me, my dream country has always been Australia.

Heading to the YouKay is to stabilize ground first, but b4 I move I must make sure I visits all other countries to actually help me in making an informed decision. (I always wanted more than 1 kpali and may achieve it)

If and only IF...after my findings YouKay happened to come up top, we die here then. #Travel&See

That's because I haven't found a suitable opportunity and Buhari did not help. I am optimistic that the incoming government will accelerate development. Now is the time for diasporians to take position back home before it's too late. Moving here was a mistake for me in the first place.
I will be here to share my success story.

@advanceDNA, @Osa4, Drey, Dodirtslikeworm and everyone that contributed to my post - THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!!

GOD DID IT!

We were about submitting the requested explanation letter and affidavit, then we decided to track the application with the other child without additional document requests.

Boom! We saw application transferred to VAC without sending additional documents requested. Note Father and Mother got their visa already.

Question is, can we proceed to submit the documents (letter to explain) as requested with the affidavit that we did?
I appreciate you all!!!!

But the situation on the ground shows the Brexit is biting hard on their businesses and other sectors. The PM has been going about trying to cut travel deals with the same EU they left because they wanted to have 'full control' of their borders and immigration system. And mind you, Britain has always made the loudest noise about immigrants, asylum seekers. Successive governments seem to be capitalising on that emotional topic to make the public think immigrants and immigration are the root causes of all their problems. Meanwhile, they're cashing out big on economic and academic migrants to the country, and aren't taking as many asylum seekers and other vulnerable migrants as Germany France and Spain. Yet, those countries don't go about complaining as much as the UK. Of course, rejoining EU is almost impossible at least for the foreseeable future as even the EU will be reluctant to have them back, but those truthful enough among them are admitting howbeit reluctantly that Brexit was a mistake. You don't pull out of the world's biggest market and expect not to feel the impact.

Let's just say they ate their cake and wanted to have it.

Mind you; Binary said there must be advantage in every disadvantages, and that was why they made it an open-end agreement (meaning they left after the Referendum, and set to discuss the terms and other things later).

I believe their motive for the bolded is that they just need that free flow of their lorries through the border, that's their only major disadvantage in their decision.
It is well...

MPs have urged the UK government to launch a public inquiry to assess the effects of Brexit in a parliamentary debate triggered by a petition.

A three-hour debate was held after 183,000 people signed a petition calling for a public inquiry into the impact of leaving the European Union.

The government says Brexit was a "democratic choice" and dismissed calls for a public inquiry.

But some MPs branded Brexit a "disaster" and an "error".

They seem to be gradually admitting that Brexit was a mistake and misadventure.
Oga! Them no think anything.
Britain cannot be great, make private decisions if they are still under the shadow of European Union.

Freedom is such a sweet thing and it helps people to develop at their own pace and strength.
You seems to have forgotten what prompted the fast tracking of that Brexit? The 'must' decisions taken by Europe to share Refugees & illegal crossers from Libya to Italy & Spain.

A couple of group of people may try to bring up that issue and how it is not beneficial, but the Israelites knows they will never go back to Egypt.

Today I have had a very interesting conversation with an acquaintance. They have insisted that they would "discipline" their child whilst in the UK. My call for caution continues to fall on dead ears, they mentioned that they were spanked as a kid as well and do not have any trauma (I strongly disagree) and hence would not spare the rod and spoil the child because that's what the bible says 😐.
Eventually they accused me of "forming" woke... anyway, I have told them to expect to find themselves back in their village in Ijebu if they proceed with that. 😁

Well...on this I believe that "spare the rod & spoil the child" is real.

And I am of the opinion that if they'd be misbehaving because they are in a place where punishment & forced adoption will be put on the parents, they equally stand a chance of being sent home by the parents to pay a mandatory and a long visitation to their Home Country.

We have siblings to help us with their trainings (good trainings)

Which law?

There's nothing like that.

The process is simply to apply online as per usual up to 3 months before starting the new role, and abide by the stipulation of not working in the new job until the new leave is granted - https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa/update-your-visa-if-you-change-job-or-employer.
Kudos for this insight tho.

I dont think there is any alternative o when it come to taking another empoyment as a sponsored skilled worker as his current employer has a big role to play in the process of changing sponsored jobs .
By law he can't bypass his current employer to take another sponsored employement elsewhere as UKVI cannot even grant him a new COS if his current employer doesnt cancel the current one .Since he still has a binding contract on his neck , he just have to find a way of settlling his contact with his current employer so that he can be gracefully released without any issue.
But come to think of it ,this naija employer wicked no be small sha ,5 years binding contract to work as dom carer ? impossicant embarassed embarassed i am yet to see any carer that can achieve that without breaking his/her back

This means Baba never dey in position of another CoS come dey para his employer? 🤔

Good day bosses, I got mail from my school(in Liverpool) as regard my outstanding tuition fee balance, which I am suppose to pay in full within four months from my enrollment date, is due for payment this month. And that if I don't pay, that sanctions will be imposed, one of which is to prevent me from continuing my studies.
My initial payment plan didn't work out as planned, and I also didn't get job on time after I arrived UK.
Because I do not have enough time to get all the money I need from my job before they start imposing sanctions on me,
The option I have left now is to sell my land in Port Harcourt. I have two plots of land(fenced) and another half plot round eneka-igbo eche link road in port Harcourt to sell. Documents are deeds of conveyance
Local government levy receipt
State government levy receipt
Community youth levy
Price is 3.5m per plot
I can also use it as collateral for loan with payback payment plan within agreed period. As I can afford to do £300 monthly direct debit from my account to payback the loan.

Please, I really need help, I don't have anywhere else to turn to. I have never taken a loan before, this is my first time. I don't have any reason to default. My mind have not been at rest since I got the email from the school.

It will be difficult to get help from here because the money that may be involve is much.
I want to believe you dotted all your i's & crossed all your T's before leaving, even though we tend to believe "God will provide in the long run, or "when we reach the bridge we go cross am", but plans no come work out the way it ought to be.

I believe you have family back home and they will be in the best position to help out, because me that is in Abuja does not know where the Land is located. And Femi in Ekiti will not be travelling all the way from there to PH in order to see your land Collateral.
GoodLuck

Anyone with a nicer way on how to go about this should please help.

P.S: This is the reason why when some persons says they're going with 5-7 family members all at once and some other person's try to talk them out of it in a way that some people without experience cannot decode the bigger picture, E get Y.

He just called me now to ask what they can do as they just discovered that the high comission will not be opened tomorrow being public holiday. This wasn't known to them not until they got the information from someone else.

What happens to the appointment they were given. They tried to go on the NHC website to reschedule the appointment to another date, but they keep getting a response that they cannot reschedule an appointment at that location (London). They are contemplating either to go there on tuesday and scared if they would be attended to.

Kindly please advice. Its urgent as the wife is going to london on a bus tonight.

I think that's the only way, cos as long as there is a market for them , there will be more unscrupulous agents eager to make money.

That's what the gov is hoping will happen by being harsh on the boat crossers - fewer people will think the journey is worth it (if they end up getting sent to Rwanda for example) and the smugglers' business will dry up.

Unfortunately the UK gov has abolished many of the safe routes to claim asylum from outside the UK. There are presently only a handful of legal/recognised refugee/settlement schemes - Afghanistan, Ukraine, HK. (And the Afghan route is tenuous at best).

Other nationals fleeing civil unrest, political oppression etc, especially those with family in the UK, are arguably left with little choice but to get to the UK by any means - before being able to claim asylum.

Boat crossing will not stop. They have never genuinely intended for it to stop, or you want to cut down on their workforce?

Go no Go, them go share am within themselves.

This is what they use to put in ships b4 to pack from The Cape of Good Hope, £10k bet says that Able Hands Movement will never stop...slowed Yes, stops No.

Someone reported and now home office after investigations has taken licence and asked the business to close

But guess what there was no protection for those on Sponsorship. 60 days notification
came for cos employees to leave or switch .... now my friend sister is stuck as she has one week left of 60days and might go home....so why its easy to report all these employers Home office is not doing anything to protect you if they lose licence so immigrants have to tread carefully
