As earlier said it is of no use nominating greats like George so i go with the point that others should be encouraged by their nomination but not that George and co do not deserve the award.

Now my nominations.

I nominate Gadotor and I Hacked.

I nominate Gadotor because he has been around this year. The guy is open, willing to help no matter how stupid or trivial the question is. He was at one time the one willing to answer questions most people on the forum refused to answer only because in one way or the other they thought it had already been discussed or the question was simply childish.

In a nut shell the guy has been a revelation to newbies this year.

I also nominate I Hacked.

Not because i have benefited from him or his willingness to reveal his discovery to me but the mere fact that his discovery (yet to be ascertained though) turned heads and even to some extent turned people against others. His discovery injected some life into this forum and made some of us sit up. His discovery might not be true but he made the forum believe that anything was possible. I believe most of us here have now decided to explore his theory.

In a nut shell he sparked some life into this forum once again.

I give it to these gentlemen. My take.

I decided against making this post because i had the feeling people were not too interested but after seeing sammu's post i said why not.

Over the weekend by courtesy of I Hacked Productions I was able to have and do this.

FTA is not all that free - it takes time and a lot of financial outlays to realize that, so ingenuity and innovativeness  must be celebrated and rewarded. So yes, if he has found something that seems to work, he is under no obligation to release that info just yet - it could his break to fame and as such he must weigh his options ie. either to be a 'linux gnu' enthusiast who releases his find to all the FTA world for others to capitalize on it or go the way of Microsoft and make some bucks from it.

No one is to take offense if proof is not forthcoming after all if we all claim to be of inquiring minds, nothing stops us from going the extra mile to break the myth of CAN'T BE DONE. Ask yourself the basic question are we really sure there is even something called out of range footprint of a satellite (Fringe Signals)? Maybe there is and maybe there isn't. It all depends on the way you look at it and the apparatus you're working with. I am not a technical person but I don't have a shut mind either. Signals can be elusive if you are not using the right equipment and in the same vein, if you have the very best of equipment you can easily have in your reach those signals you 'THINK' are elusive.

Technological advances have come a long way and we shouldn't be found disbelieving without opening our minds and imagination to POSSIBILITIES.

In this world, EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE - the good and the very bad, all comes about with just thinking!

Well if it is then it is ok but please dont get me wrong.

Your post suggests I Hacked is demanding money before releasing his findings. If i am right here too then the answer is NO.

My post was referring to the highlighted statement in dvbguy's post.

I think I Hacked feels the time for this is not right yet

I believe all members can emulate dvbguy by looking at the current situation from his perspective.

I have sat back and read all the posts made lately and the accusations and counter accusations made about our brother I Hacked.

I dont mean to make this post just because he mentioned he will let me in on his discovery.

First of all i think we are jumping into conclusion.  None of the post made earlier has wondered the reason why I Hacked has taken this stance.

It might be because of something.  We are all jumping on his back trying to hang him.

It is true we all join this forum on our will and at our own risk therefore it is not necessary for one to announce his withdrawal from the forum.

Please dont get me wrong cos i dont know more than all of you do here.  But i plan to find out just like all of you.

I believe (have no proof yet though) that the man in conjunction with a few others have made a breakthrough.

Patience is key in all we do.  I believe we need to have a lot of it at this present moment.

Now for starters we all want proof of the man's findings first before thinking of how to put the As and Bs together i believe.  

This is the main reason he has chosen to let me in on his (their) findings.

For now we all want to know if his claim is feasible or not.

More grease to your elbows. You know i still cant come to terms with the cost of the fiber dishes you stated.

I think if one can cough up this cost and set up like you it is far worth it than paying up monthly ''dues'' to these people.

If my calculation is right the total cost to be involved is less that 6 monts full subscription from these people.

I think it is not your place to say if the thread should be shut down or not. Besides i dont think you need to suggest that to anybody. I believe you can help yourself by simply stop visiting the thread and not calling for it to be shut down whiles others are still visiting it.

Also please try and rephrase THIS GHANAIANS in your last post. Being a Ghanaian i think this is insulting. The phrase suggests inferiority. Besides those guys are men and if you are truly a female as your profile suggests then it is improper for you a woman to refer to MEN as such.

I believe it is possible to replace the mesh in the mesh dish with aluminium sheets. However i think the problem is being able to maintain the curvature. Aluminium does not expand so no problem with that. Maybe we should all try and experiment with this.

Thank you sir, but which of the other clone models besides using the scart will give you a better pix quality just as the strong. Your response if i understood gave the idea that it is because the DM 500S are now in extinction contributing to that factor. Hence my new question.

Can you please explain to me what the main difference is between a Clone and an Original DM.

I have a DM 500S Clone but to me i think the strong's picture quality far far exceeds that of my DM.

Dont know if you would agree with me but if this is the case is it for the fact that it is a clone or the original is also same.
