Why is my urine always yellow after eating noodles? I personally, have noticed that whenever I do eat any type of noodles especially Indomie, my first urine after the noodles is always pure yellow no matter the amount of water I take during meal. Initially, I thought that I had malaria but when I explained to the nurse who gave me anti-malaria drug a week ago, what she asked me was how frequent do I eat noodles. Well, Indomie has been my favourite fast food especially at home when I don’t have the opportunity to cook any other food. However, before I go into conclusion as to why my urine always yellow after eating noodles, let’s look into the ingredients used in packaging noodles. Noodle Ingredients; 1. Wheat flavour 2. Vegetable oil (palm oil) 3. Iodized salt 4. Humectant (E452) 5. Acidity regulator (E500, E501) 6. Thickener (E412) 7. COLOUR (E101) Also Known as vitamin B2 or Riboflavin. Also The Seasoning Powder Contains; 1. Iodized salt 2. Flavour enhancer (E621, E627, E631) 3. Sugar 4. Yeast extract 5. Soy powder 6. Ginger powder 7. Spices 8. Garlic powder 9. Chicken flavour 10. Chili powder….. With that said, one has to know that the pigment(s) and chemical compounds in the foods you eat and the medications you take also have the ability to alter the colour of your urine. Remember, these changes are fairly standard and typically don’t last for long time though. Therefore, let’s consider this very chemical compound called COLOUR (E101)..... https://doksblog.com/why-is-my-urine-always-yellow-after-eating-noodles/

I personally, noticed that many people do not know why cotton wool is placed in the nostrils and ears of dead bodies. In this article however, I’m going to share some of the reasons why cotton wool is been placed in the nostrils and ears of a dead person. You can agree with me that as soon as a person dies, the body temperature drops and along with that forfeits all obstruction to micro-organisms or germs which will result in body decomposition, and subsequently, the germs will leave from the body. A dead body forfeits almost all its quality of undergoing life processes. One of the qualities is immunity. A decomposing body exists very delicious for such organisms to pester. Well though it won't make much of a difference to a dead body whether an insect enters it or not but close relatives who are still alive don't like the idea until the body is disposed of with integrity through religious ceremonies. Why Do We Put Cotton In Nose After Death? 1. All manner of unfamiliar substances can enter without encountering any obstacle as they are all deactivated. 2. We plug cotton in the nostrils of a dead body because as soon as the respiration process stops, the air present in the surroundings enters the body, as a result, the body gets bulged. 3. We plug cotton to stop the organisms or germs from coming out of the dead body. 4. To stop the leakage of bodily fluids as the corpse decomposes etc. Why do we put cotton in nose after death? Please share and drop a comment for DISCUSSION… https://doksblog.com/why-do-we-put-cotton-in-nose-after-death/

I’m quite sure that you may ask; who are not for you? Well, the answer to that such question is not far-fetched. Just take your time and look around you, just look at the different faces of those around you. Who do they claim they’re to you? Brother, sister or friend? Honestly, they’re around you either as a brother, sister or friend because you’re probably ahead of them in one way or the other. They’re around you now because the money is available. They’re around you now because they believed you have a role to play in there lives. But if I may ask; what actually happens when the money or fame seems not to be on your side anymore? Then you will realise that those that claimed to be your brother, sister or best friend will desert you. They will disappear like ghost. And when they do, try as much as you can to be on your KNEELS and move on. Remember, every problem has a solution, every disappointment carries greater appointment with it, to every rejection there is a comforter to heal, and every situation has an expiration date stamped on it. My dear time HEALS… So therefore, play your game “tight and coded” as nobody will be there for you. They’re not for you and they will NEVER be there for you rather they’re around you now because of the blessings they observed over your life… Is your brother and blogger, Oduigwe Chidera Dok… https://doksblog.com/theyre-not-for-you-2/

Is that protruding belly stopping your zipper from closing properly and you think that is the worst of your problems? Tummy or belly fat is not only an unfashionable headache but it is also not healthy for your general wellbeing as well. Before going deep on how to lose belly fat, one needs to know that there are two types of fat in the body, subcutaneous fat and visceral fat. Subcutaneous fat is the fat you can pinch and it is found on your hip and butt. Visceral fat, on the other hand, is the primary contributor to your growing midsection. This type of fat is found deep in your abdominal area, surrounding your vital organs. Visceral fat has been linked to heart disease, type-2 diabetes, breast cancer in women and gallbladder problems. When we talk of tummy fats, men are usually pointed at as the culprits yet women are also beginning to deal with issues of protruding pot bellies too especially here in Nigeria. However, as we get older, our body fat tends to increase, and usually, the increase is around your midsection. Sticking to a healthy diet and exercise plan is all you need to lose the belly fat in one week naturally and improve your overall health. The effects of alcohol have been told and the use of crude methods to prevent unwanted pregnancy is on the rise among young ladies especially here in Nigeria. Actually, the effect of alcohol on pregnancy can never be overemphasized. It ranges from stillbirths, premature delivery, congenital malformation, gastritis & stomach ulcer, damage both the liver and kidney, feotal alcohol syndrome to PREGNANCY LOSS OR MISCARRIAGE However, for the fact that taking dry gin during pregnancy (an alcoholic drink) can lead to miscarriage, this now become one of the reasons why Nigerian ladies have devised the means of using it to abort a pregnancy. The sad fact however is that most of these method(s) can lead to serious complications, death, infection and when it fails, birth defects for the baby which is not be reversible may occur. It’s important to know that dry gin is an alcoholic drink (like earlier mentioned) but do you know, some ladies use it to induce abortions or prevent unwanted pregnancy? Many nursing mothers are always in dilemma, trying to find out whether eating Egusi soup is OK or not for them and their baby. Actually, you spent the last nine months streamlining what you eat and drink in order to ensure that what you put in your stomach does not affect your baby’s development. Now that you are nursing your baby, you still have to be careful of what you eat. There are foods that are healthy and good for the body but should be avoided by breastfeeding/nursing mothers. It’s important also to be knowledgeable about what to eat or not to eat while still nursing because every food that a nursing mom eats goes into her baby’s system. Eating the wrong foods while breastfeeding can affect the baby negatively; keep the baby awake or uncomfortable when she should be sleeping; give the baby diarrhea, make the baby sick or even harm the baby generally. While still nursing babies, there are sacrifices to be made to keep the baby healthy. If you eat everything you crave at this time all in the name of “eating for two”, you may be harming the baby while making parenting difficult for yourself too. However, a breastfeeding mom needs to eat a well nourishing balanced diet. She should only avoid foods and spices that make her baby fussy or show allergic reactions. Meanwhile, let’s consider the experience a breastfeeding mum shared when asked whether to eat Egusi soup while breastfeeding or not. According to her,...... https://doksblog.com/can-nursing-mother-eat-egusi-soup/

This very question has been asked for so many reasons. Black period blood is blood that takes extra time to leave the uterus, becoming oxidized along the way. When blood is exposed to oxygen, it becomes oxidized and turns dark brown or blackish, similar to the colour of coffee grounds. The good news is that black period blood and vaginal discharge isn’t always a cause for concern. It commonly occurs at different times throughout a cycle, particularly toward the beginning of a period. Generally, a period with dark and low volume of blood is normal and does not indicate any health problems, especially if it occurs at the beginning or end of menstruation. However, when this type of period or menstruation is recurring, it can be a sign of hormonal changes, uterine problems, stress or sexually transmitted diseases, for example. However, this can also happen when women start taking the contraceptive pill for the first time, change the pill or use the morning-after pill. In these cases, menstruation can also become darker or have the colour of coffee grounds, returning to normal in the next cycle. Why Is My Period Blood So Dark? Menstruation blood, which is black, brown, or similar to coffee grounds may be caused by the following reasons:.................. https://doksblog.com/why-is-my-period-blood-so-dark/

As an Igbo young man, I have heard a lot concerning female circumcision around me. And I believe this is the right time to share with friends both here in Nigeria and for those in diaspora too. However, the issue of female circumcision ranks high as one of the many cases of domestic violence in Igboland and the practice has long been carried out. In fact, it’s part of our tradition that a baby (both male and female) should be circumcised after birth. Otherwise known as female genital mutilation, female circumcision is seen as a sure cure for sexual promiscuity among women. However, ancient folklore reveals how female genital mutilation helps to ward off certain kinds of diseases in women in the olden times. Though considered as barbaric, the hygienic potentials of female circumcision commend it to successive generations of Igbo families. The superstitious impetus of female circumcision could not be lost on anyone who desires a deep knowledge of the practice in Igboland. It is believed that women who are not circumcised make love to spirits in their sleep who, in turn, cause unhealthy appetite for sexual intercourse. It is also said that such women give birth to Ogbanje or Abiku. With such unwholesome tales, out of fear and possible stigmatization, most mothers make sure that they circumcised their daughters. Ogbanje or Abiku refer to people who are believed to cycle rapidly and repeatedly through birth and death (they die and comeback again during another birth). A consecutive familial sequence of births and deaths of infants is construed as the same child dying and being born over and over again. Circumcision is done to arrest the interest and arousal for sex by the womenfolk and to avoid giving birth to children who would live for short periods of time, die and come back to their mothers’ womb only to be born and continue the cycle, bringing grief and pain to the family. In some instances, women who give birth to such children are regarded as having spiritual husbands and are thus, taken through a ritual bath. This ritual, which involves taking the woman to a fast flowing river, attracts general feeling of sadness against the mother for failing to circumcise her daughter during her childhood. Women who fail to circumcise their daughters are usually blamed for their negligence. However, female genital mutilation, called clitoridectomy in modern medicine, involves the yanking off of the CLITORIS, the most sensitive part of the womanliness. In Igboland, the instrument of the art inspires much awe with its crudity and savage look. A hard metal carving knife known as “Aguba” is usually used in cutting the CLITORIS, whereupon herbal concoctions are used to stop blood flow and ameliorate the excruciating pains. As the baby cries, the mother takes pleasure in the feeling that, at least, she has a normal woman made ready for her husband’s ecstasy (a state of being overpowered by emotion). To further speed up the healing process, palm oil is applied to the wound intermittently using a feather to spread the oil along the cut edges of the former position occupied by the CLITORIS. According to ancient folklore, it is alleged that one of the benefits of female circumcision is that during child birth the woman does not go through birth pangs, a sudden sharp pain or painful emotion. Most of the women who undergo female circumcision are said to have easy passage during delivery. They are also adjudged to be hardworking and productive in the farms. However, a lot of criticisms have been directed at female genital mutilation, especially given the prevalence of certain diseases and because of the influence of modern education. Above all, female circumcision inhibits the sexuality of women, thereby leading to incessant marital squabbles and even divorce. Women who are circumcised are known to find it hard to experience orgasm during sexual intercourse, a situation that leads to marital disharmony and frustration. The practice has been seen as a source of a lot of health hazards as well. Female circumcision practice in Igboland? Just days ago, my childhood bae called me after so many months. Although the call was meant to be about my welfare but it later turned out to be something else. In life however, I believe there must be always a first time to some certain things especially when it comes to losing your virginity to someone, and the experience MUST always be there despite your age. I’m communicating? Meanwhile, trying to respond to her sensitive question, it dawn on me that what I’m about telling her was what actually happened to me about 10 year ago with ease. As for me then, it was pain all over. I found it difficult to walk for some days but it wasn’t a rape. The story was a bit “for gods” but wasn’t happy with the young lady until my body was normalised. Although, it was not an ugly incident such as rape but to some people, the story is always strange. Some are being raped, molested, beaten-up or forced which makes the experience unforgettable in life. However, I summoned courage to explain it to her as if it was just yesterday but how do you feel after losing your virginity to that person? Remember, there must always be a first time. Elon Musk, born in South Africa, has become the world’s richest person, as his net worth crossed $185bn (£136bn). This was made known on 7th January 2021. The Tesla (the electric vehicle that will crash the economy of many nations including Nigerian economy due to its high dependency on crude oil) and SpaceX owner was pushed into the top slot after Tesla’s share price increased on Thursday January 7th. He takes the top spot from Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who had held it since the year 2017. Mr. Musk’s electric car company Tesla has surged in value this year, and hit a market value of $700bn (£516bn) for the first time on Wednesday. That makes the car company worth more than others such as Toyota, Volkswagen, Hyundai, GM (General Motors) and Ford combined. However, on hearing such amazing feat, Mr. Musk reacted to the news in signature style, replying to a Twitter user sharing the news with the remark “how strange” as shown below. Elon Musk Twitter replying a Tweet Elon Musk Twitter replying a Tweet Actually, what piqued my interest was some of the top secrets he reveals that get him to the throne. However, let’s see some of the secrets that made him the world riches man ahead of Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos. It Isn’t About The Money: If it’s not all about money, then what? When interviewed he said he didn’t know how rich he was. “It’s not as if there is a pile of cash somewhere,” he said. “It’s really just that I have a certain number of votes in Tesla, and SpaceX, and SolarCity, and the marketplace has value on those votes.” He doesn’t have anything against the pursuit of wealth “if it’s done in sort of an ethical and good manner”, but said it just isn’t what drives him. He said he thinks most of his money will be spent building a base on Mars, and wouldn’t be surprised if the project consumed his entire fortune or finance. Pursue Your Passions: That Mars base is a clue to what Elon Musk believes is the “key to success”. “You want things in the future to be better,” he said. “You want these new exciting things that make life better.” “I kept expecting us to advance beyond Earth, and to put a person on Mars, and have a base on the moon, and have, you know, very frequent flights to orbit,” he said. He regards himself as an engineer rather than an investor, and says what gets him up in the morning is the desire to solve technical problems. Don’t Be Afraid To Think Big: One of the really striking things about Elon Musk’s businesses is how audacious they are. He wants to revolutionise the car industry from using petrol to electric, colonise Mars for people live on, build super-fast trains in vacuum tunnels, integrate AI (Artificial Intelligence) into human brains and upend the solar power and battery industries. There’s a common thread here. All of his projects are the kind of futuristic fantasies you’d find in a kid’s magazine in the early 1980s. Musk makes no secret of the fact he was inspired by the “books and movies” he consumed as a kid in South Africa where he was born and raised. So, his advice to everyone is to make sure you are working on what he calls “stuff that’s going to matter”. Like I said, “think big.” Be Ready To Take Risks: This one is obvious. You’ve got to have skin in the game to do well, but Elon Musk has taken more risks than most. By the year 2002 he had sold off his holdings in his first two ventures, an internet city guide called Zip2 and the online payment company known as PayPal. He had just entered his 30s and had almost $200m in the bank. He says his plan was to put half his fortune into the businesses and keep the other half. Things didn’t work out like that. His new companies faced all sorts of teething troubles and challenges. SpaceX’s first three launches had failed, and Tesla had all manner of production problems, and supply chain, and design issues. Then the financial crisis struck. Musk said he faced a stark choice. “I could either keep the money, then the companies are definitely going to die, or invest what I have left and maybe there is a chance.” He kept pouring in money he saved. At one point he was so in debt he had to borrow money from friends just to pay his living expenses. So, did the prospect of bankruptcy frighten him? He says it didn’t: “My kids might have to go to a sort of government school. I mean big deal, I went to a government school.” Ignore The Critics: He suggested many people may have wanted him to fail because there’s a kind of arrogance about his ambition. He rejected that. “I think it would be arrogant if we said we were definitely going to do it, as opposed to we’re aspiring to do it, and we’re going to give it our best shot.” This brings us to Musk’s next lesson in business success – don’t listen to the critics. He said he didn’t believe SpaceX or Tesla would ever make money when he set them up – and the truth is nor did anyone else. But he ignored the doomsters or critics and went ahead anyway. Why? Remember, this is a man who judges success on the basis of the important problems he’s solved, not how much money he has made. Enjoy Yourself: Elon Musk is famously a workaholic – he boasts of working 120-hour weeks to keep production of the Tesla Model 3 on track – but he doesn’t fail to enjoy himself despite being a workaholic. However, follow this guide and, with a bit of luck, you’ll become impossibly rich and famous too like Elon Musk and share your own success stories as well. https://doksblog.com/the-world-riches-man-elon-musk-reveals-his-secrets-to-the-throne/

This very question has been asked all over and over again. How do I get Ngozi, Tope or Hafsat into the mood before throwing my third leg in? Well some years back in Katsina State, similar question was asked among the Corp Members then; “How does an Hausa man make love with his wife”? One Corp member among us by name Dele decides to answer the question. He say “An Hausa man after taking Magani Burantashi (a local aphrodisiac which literally mean “penis get up”) and comes back home to meet his wife, will rightly say Zo zo (come! Come!!) and the wife will come. Thereafter, he will push the woman on bed and starts making love with her quickly, and will not last long. Maybe for 5 minutes.” Honestly, after hearing that very statement, the whole lodge burst out to laughter. “Dele are you for real”? One Corp member asked. Meanwhile that scenario, whether true or not, might be similar to what some Nigerian guys do whenever they want to get between the sheets with their lover or girl. They just go ahead to pull the lady and start “wooing” her without getting her to the mood or turning her on. Actually ladies feel bad about this act and some even feel embarrassed as if they are just a LovePeddler or prostitute in the first place. But on the other hand, a lot of Nigerian ladies want that quality ROMANCE. Some ladies even prefer good romance over sex itself. In fact turning a lady on before sex has been proven to be the best way to get her READY and help prepare her for “good sex.” But how can you get her in that mood before having sex? Although I’m not a sex therapist, I’m writing out of hindsight or experience. And if these awesome tips don’t work, then come back to Doksblog.com to share your experience. First thing to do whenever you happen to be with a lady you so much love, is to put her in the mood. Try as much as you can to make your discussion romantic. You can say “waooo, your body looks nice this time unlike the last I met you, what happened”? And wait for her response. Actually at this time, you have opened her mind up for such discussion unless she has some personal issues with you. Secondly, try to draw closer to her and place your RIGHT HAND below her left ear down to the neck. Move your hand up and down over that area for two or three times. That particular area has a sensitive artery that carries oxygen and blood to the brain and when touched, sparks a reaction. And by then, she is getting relaxed as her body has been stepped down by those touches. Thirdly, try as much as you can to kiss that left neck and over to her lips with your hand on the tip of her breast. Later tap the tips of her breast with your lips for maximum sensation. At this point, the work is almost done. She is now on the mercy of your capacity as a man. You can now go ahead to pull the clothes if at all she has never done that earlier on. Finally, slide your hand on her clitoris (the most sensitive part of her body), touch it for some minutes for her arousal before sliding in your third leg. Honestly by this time, she might have thrown your boxes to an unknown destination. In essence, I’m not encouraging sexual immorality among the young ones but if you have gotten married, then those tips listed above should be incorporated to your marriage life How to get a Nigerian lady in the mood before having sex with her? Share with friends, maybe he’s never had that best time with his bae. https://doksblog.com/how-to-get-a-nigerian-lady-in-the-mood-before-having-sex-with-her/

Yes there are several ways whereby one can prevent disease from hitting him or her hard. Hope you have heard the popular saying that “Prevention is better than cure.” If you’re still cynical or doubt the fact that one can prevent disease then asked yourself this very question; how come our ancestor dare to live longer than our present age without actually relying on orthodox drugs? Well the answer is not far-fetched. They practiced what is called “a stitch in time saves nine.” They prevent diseases from coming by making suitable adjustment to their lifestyles. Ranging from the food they eat, the herbs they drink, walking to the farm or market to expression of love to their brothers and sisters. For them, it was part of their daily routine. However, can this current age adjust their lifestyle in order to prevent diseases from hitting them hard like our then Papas and Mamas? Yes it’s possible, although not actually like our forefathers, as a whole lot of things have changed overtime. However, let’s consider some of the important things we should put in practice in order to help prevent against various diseases. Taking Of Hot Bath: Although our ancestors may not actually go to kindergarten but they know the importance of taking hot bath after working in the farm or back from long distance market. It has been scientifically proven that taking hot bath lowers blood sugar, fall asleep faster, lowers blood pressure, relieves muscle tension, have cleaner & healthier skin, moisturizes our skin, improves blood circulation, and help relieve cold/flu symptoms. Hence, they key in for it by taking hot bath in order to stay strong. Eating Healthy Foods: There is a saying that “The food you eat will either make or mar you.” Actually, the importance of eating healthy foods is numerous and our forefathers don’t play with it in any way. They heavily relied on fruits, vegetables and other important leaves in order to wade off diseases. It’s important to know that a healthy diet can protect the human body against certain types of diseases, in particular non-communicable diseases such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, some types of cancer and skeletal conditions. Healthy foods or diets can also contribute to an adequate body weight as well. Physical Exercise: Just last week, I was on Taxi coming home from Owerri Imo State and a young man along the road stopped the Taxi and said to the driver “along.” The driver stopped and picked him but the driver didn’t reach the next electric pole, the young man then said “driver here, stop me here.” Although good for him but it doesn’t encourage an active lifestyle. Our elders then usually engage themselves in physical exercise either by trekking or walking to the nearby market to trade. They see it as a way of life and it pays positively to their lives. I know the society has now changed due to advancement in technology, but a walk to that neighbour, friend to the market or a weekend physical exercise, has some positive impact to your body. Avoid Stress: “Problem no go finish.” Please try as much as you can to manage stress despite the situation you may face in life. Our forefathers have various means of reducing daily stress. They build what is called “Ibari” (small hunt) for themselves in order to relax when the heat or life situation is getting harder. There, they share and discuss with their friends and seek for any available solutions/help. Sleep Properly: In reality, they don’t joke with their sleep. If you doubt it, go and ask any elderly man or woman around you. They make it a priority to relax and sleep in order to regain their lost strength or energy. A lack of sleep at night can make you cranky the next day. And over time, skimping on sleep can mess up more than just your morning mood. Studies show getting quality sleep on a regular basis can help improve all sorts of issues, from your blood sugar to your workouts. However, if our “hustling society” today can be able to adopt these important lifestyles like our forefathers, then we can live a healthy and fulfilling life despite the current challenges before us. What our forefathers did to prevent diseases without taking drugs? Share with friends…… https://doksblog.com/what-our-forefathers-did-to-prevent-diseases-without-taking-drugs/

I know that a lot of us have set smart goals this very year 2021. Yes that’s fine as there’s nothing wrong in setting out some goals that will guide you for the whole year. Remember, that your goals shouldn’t be mere words rather your goals should be Simple, Measurable, Achievable, Reachable and True. Every single new year we are likely to say to ourselves; “I’ll do this and I’ll avoid that” but what actually happens to it after some months? They seem to fade away from us because we don’t have concrete foundation to sustain it for the whole year. Well, this year 2021 is another wonderful and amazing year before us. If you couldn’t achieve that heart desire last year, then this very year is another opportunity to execute that. However, to execute that desire or dream, you have to bear in mind that you’re not the only one planning to achieve one thing or the other this very year 2021. People in your family want to make a change in order to be at that echelon state like you want as well. Same applies to friends, relatives and others around you. Then what will make you to stand out from the rest? Is it by writing it down? By putting it in practice? By repeating it every day? Are there crucial things that will differentiate you from others this year 2021? As for me, Oduigwe Chidera Dok, yes! There are three important factors that will make you to stand out. You Must Be Spiritually Solid: If I may ask; are you aware of that thing that will happen the next hour? Go and ask people that are on top of their game, though most of them may not tell you, but they make sure that their spiritual life is intact. Either black or white, they are spiritually alert and that is why if you be with them, something may happen to you but not them. They are always conscious over their spiritual wellbeing. They try as much as they can to be spiritually solid in order to overcome. Remember, spiritual things MUST ALWAYS be ahead of the physical. Hence, if you want to go-get-am this year be solid spiritually. Be Physically Fit: There is a principle that summarise this world to be “survival of the fittest.” My dear that is just the simple truth. Consider politicians for instance, should I go ahead to discuss about them? Of course you all know the rule of the game to that throne. I’m not advising you to kill in order to get there, but you must be ready to face the challenges before you. This year 2021, be ready for that challenge. Be ready for that obstacle. Be ready for that resistance. Make sure you grab that opportunity whenever it comes around. Be fit so that you can overcome those shackles that lie on your way to greatness. Manage Your Finance Wisely: When you don’t have any money with you, by then you will definitely know the value of N1 (One Naira). I didn’t say you should be stingy, but spend according to your income. If your income happens to be N20,000, should you spend it all within the next month? Pay serious attention to your SOURCE OF INCOME. Many businesses collapsed last year partly because of Covid-19 pandemic and partly because of improper financial management. Remember that the society is now selective. Honestly, there is no gainsaying. If you don’t have money, then hide yourself because you are not relevant to the society. Therefore, for you not to lose your relevance in the society, then manage your finance wisely this year 2021. Also, a lot of things lie ahead and no one knows the real package but our earnest prayer is that it will be for our good. Remember, God No Go Shame Us this Year 2021 and if you believe, then share with friends your friends…… https://doksblog.com/3-things-that-will-differentiate-you-from-others-this-year-2021/

DNA paternity tests are unraveling a lot of buried family secrets especially here in Nigeria. Keeping family secrets isn't as easy as it used to be and just one DNA test could change everything for better or for worse. Why is paternity fraud high? Should Nigerian hospitals conduct compulsory DNA test after childbirth in order to curb this menace? Paternity (father of a child) tests in Nigeria are usually done for immigration reasons, health reasons or when there is a clear indication or strong suspicion that a female partner or wife has been unfaithful. Well, let’s consider some incidents caused by lack of DNA test after birth here in Nigeria. Currently, the controversial banker and Managing Director of First City Monument Bank (FCMB), Adam Nuru, will soon be swimming in the pool of sex scandal rocking the internet. As the sex story was narrated, it was alleged that the banker was responsible for Tunde Thomas’ marriage breakdown that eventually led to Tunde’s death few days back. The story as posted on the website read: “Tunde Thomas died recently like about a week or two from depression. Apparently, kids from his marriage to Moyo Thomas belongs to wife’s boss (Adam Nuru, the current MD of FCMB). Moyo Thomas left Tunde to go to America with the kids, she told him kids were not his when she got to America. He (Tunde) was later down with stroke but recovered.” Apparently, Tunde met someone else he was going to remarry but apparently didn’t recover from the first Marriage issues or trauma. Tunde was just made director for the MFB he works for. Got back from work last week and had a cardiac arrest 2 days before introduction to pregnant new girlfriend, and he later died. In February 2017 however, a Nigerian man identified as Oscar found out that 32-year-old Valentine wasn't his biological son. Jesu!!! The clip was from the Jeremy Kyle Show in the United Kingdom which later went viral. In 2015 also, Mike tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend. Shortly after, they gave birth to a bouncing baby girl. Mike's marriage could have been a fairy tale, but two years later, through a series of unfortunate events, Mike found out that the child he called his daughter wasn't his. His world crashed in an instant. To deal with the pain of knowing that the little girl in his house wasn't his, he moved to South Africa. While Mike found out early on in his marriage, some men, unfortunately, discover that they have raised another man's child much late in their lives, like the case of Oscar mentioned above. Honestly, paternity fraud is becoming worrisome across the country and this happens when a mother deliberately misidentifies her partner as the biological father of her child. If you let the internet tell it, paternity fraud is high in Nigeria backed up with unverified stats as well. But what is the way forward? To continue like this or to find means of tackling it? Personally, I’m of the opinion that Nigerian hospitals should conduct compulsory DNA test after childbirth in order to mitigate the paternity fraud at the early stage. This, as for me, will definitely go a long way to reduce the level of unfaithfulness among married couples and also reduce to rate of depression among the affected spouse. DNA test in Nigeria has now becoming one of the most performed medical tests today. In fact, it has also rates among the most important test being conducted in the country. Why? Currently here in Nigeria, there are a lot of reports over who the actual father of a child or children is. Just few months ago, a man died after suffering from heart attack and subsequently stroke, when he realised that he wasn’t the real father of the children his wife gave birth to after DNA test confirmation. Although the test might be carried out because of some other notable reasons but as far as Nigeria is concern, the most reasons for DNA test in the country is mostly paternity identification and crime investigations. What Is A DNA Test? A DNA test usually means a paternity test used to determine whether someone is the father or sometimes even mother of the child through DNA profiling. A DNA test, if performed correctly and in accordance with regulations, can be a solid proof of paternity that could be used in court or for other reasons. DNA testing can also be used to determine other biological relationships, but paternity tests are the most common. As of now, a DNA test is the most reliable and advanced method of determining parenthood. It is almost 100% accurate. When the results come in, it is usually in the percentage form and not in a straightforward ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ answer. If you get over 99%, it means that you are definitely the father or in some cases the mother. However, in our modern society, it is sometimes hard to determine who the father of a baby is when a woman has multiple partners. Fortunately, DNA testing is now the convenient means or tool for finding out who’s the daddy is. But can everyone afford it here in Nigeria? How Much Is The Cost Of DNA Test In Nigeria? DNA tests are of various types which require various techniques too, hence a variation in prices. Actually, a DNA test in Nigeria may likely cost between N50, 000 to N120, 000 depending on the hospital, technique or purpose. Also, bear in minds that for some reason, it’s difficult for any clinics, laboratories, or hospitals here in Nigeria to provide the prices of DNA test on their websites. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration, NAFDAC, has said the planned roll-out of coronavirus vaccines in Nigeria, expected to begin in January will not be subjected to Fresh Clinical Trials Before They Are Administered To Citizens. The spokesman of the agency, Sayo Akintola, who made this known during an interview with Newsmen said local trials for the vaccine were unnecessary since the vaccine was already certified by the World Health Organisation (WHO). “The truth is that once a vaccine is approved by the WHO, it is assumed that it has passed through some preliminary stages of the trial. Visit www.doksblog.comfor more “It is a known fact that for the WHO to sanction a vaccine, it must have gone through a series of trials here and there,” he said. He, however, explained that a sample of the vaccine will be taken to the lab for its “safety and efficacy” to be ascertained before inoculation. Recall that the Nigeria Medical Association had asked the federal government to do its evaluation of the COVID-19 vaccine before administering it on Nigerians. But with NAFDAC’s position, Nigeria’s health authorities may very well proceed with vaccinations, trusting WHO’s expertise. However, if the vaccine eventually arrives in the country, about 40 million Nigerians may receive it for free. This is as earlier disclosed by the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19, following President Buhari’s directive to proceed with procurement arrangements. But the issue here is; would you receive the Covid-19 vaccine if offered to you without clinical trial? Can you remember what happened in the year 1996 in Kano State as a result of a vaccine without a clinical trial? Report has it that at least 11 children died and dozens were left disabled after Pfizer (the same company that manufactured Covid-19 vaccine) gave them the experimental anti-meningitis drug known as Trovan. Though Pfizer paid $175,000 (£108,000) each to four families in the first of a series of payments it is expected to make. The payouts are part of an out-of-court settlement reached in the year 2009. But would the huge amount of money paid replace the loss of their loved ones? NO WAY!!! Well, the WHO has given emergency authorization for the use of the Pfizer/Biotech vaccine meaning this would be available for use in developing countries who don’t have their own internal mechanism for such decisions, with Nigeria inclusive. Also, the Astrazeneca vaccine has being approved in some countries such as the UK and recently ,India. It may well be on course for WHO to approve it , this would be a vaccine for use in developing nations as it’s easier to store and transport unlike the Pfizer/Biotech that needs temperature of less than -70degrees. And there are many more vaccines still in various states of trials, 49 of them are already named. The federal government is planning to spend 400billion Naira on vaccine , but it is very important to see what opinions are , if people are willing to receive the jab or not. Some Nigerians have been rejecting this particular move and studies conducted by the FDA in the USA shows that African-Americans are less likely to receive the jab with as low as 4 in 10 people saying they would receive the jab. So, would you be happy to receive the Covid-19 vaccine if offered to you without clinical trial as a Nigerian? Share with friends to see their reactions and opinions.......................................... https://doksblog.com/would-you-receive-the-covid-19-vaccine-if-offered-to-you-without-clinical-trial/

The use of informal contraceptives by lades here in Nigeria and some other African countries is a tale as old as time. The practice of using some unconventional methods as well as drugs in an attempt to prevent pregnancy did not start today. Rather, for decades, these unconventional contraceptives have been used and passed down from generation to generation. Surprisingly even with the strides recorded in global medical advancement in the last decade, informal contraceptives have managed to find their way into sex education among Nigerians and beyond. The stigma attached to purchasing contraceptives as an unmarried young person also makes people resort to the use of informal contraceptives. For instance, entering a store and picking a pack of condoms, or even asking for morning after pills will likely result in random judgmental stares from other people in the store. Yet, it is important that we are made aware of some informal contraceptive measures so as to educate one another on the effects. Can Andrew liver salt wash away sperm after three days of sex? Typically, Andrews Liver Salt acts effectively as an antacid and laxative to relieve one of heartburn, indigestion and constipation symptoms. But somehow it has found its way into the list of unconventional drugs Nigerian ladies use to flush out semen after sex. Meanwhile, once sperm enters the vagina there is no way to effectively and safely flush it out. Forget what ever folk remedies people try to tell you will work, they are all FALSE. However, there are so many common misconceptions out there when it comes to sex…Most of us, at one point or another, have heard some information about sexual health that we were not so sure about whether it was true or not. Some of these myths would seem so believable to a lot of us, that we don’t see the need to pay a visit to a doctor or sexual health clinic for proper information. Asides from living in ignorance, relying on information from unofficial sources (friends, social media, etc.) puts us at risk of STIs and HIV, and may even prevent us from getting adequate treatment/protection against certain diseases that may be life threatening. While Andrews Liver Salt is known as a good remedy for reducing gastric indigestion and expelling excess gas in the stomach due to its magnesium sulphate content, there are people who believe that it can also function as a contraceptive by flushing out sperm.
