I still wonder myself while people still move with large sum of money but people with money in their account where kidnap and money were withdral using their ATM cards
Travel › Experience On Night Travelling, New Dimension To Robbery Due To Cashless Society by domack99(op):
(Sorry guys for the earlier mixed up the guy was coming from Abuja to Lagos not Calabar to lagos.Moderator please note the change)This is really a true life incident not a make up one.

Three days ago I was able to get in touch with a friend of mine who has been missing for almost four weeks. Though his voice was still shivering as he narrate the incident to me on phone yesterday.

He was on his way from Abuja to Lagos on a night bus (Ekele Dili Chuku) when at Ibilo their bus was attack by rubbers/ritualist. According to him there is no way anyone in the bus could escape as the driver bump into them suddenly.

According to him, they came into the bus through the two entrance/exit available, line them up outside and start separating them base on the cash they have at hand. Those with three hundred thousand one side and others with very little cash to the other side.

Latter they start asking them how much is in their account, what kind of business do they do and how much comes into their account daily. My friend who is a final year Law student only has six thousand naira as cash and eighty thousand naira in his GTbank account.
He said due to fear several passengers voice out the truth, the amount they have in the bank, the amount they are expecting in their account the next day or days after. In particular a man said he has something like N4.2 million naira in his account. They collected their ATM cards, pin and phones.
Those that claim they have money in their account and those that they suspected that are lying (my friend inclusive) were packed inside an Hiace bus and drove like three hours to the middle of nowhere.

On arriving at their destination they met several other victims, the houses are made of mud with several guards armed with heavy weapon. My friend spent ten days with them, each day they withdraw maximum amount allowable through their ATM and switch on their phones at certain time of the day to see if there is credit Alert from their banks.
On the tenth day they notice that no money is coming into his account and four others so they decided to do away with them.
He woke up to find himself and four others in an hospital two hours away from Calabar and two of whom are died. According to the doctor, that would be the tenth day since a Good Samaritan who found them along the road and brought five of them to the hospital but unfortunately two of them couldn’t make it. He saw the Good Samaritan who also said that the hospital refused to accept them for treatment until he deposited fifty thousand naira each for the five victims.

Anyway they are to be in Lagos latter today, the doctor refer them to an hospital here in Lagos for full treatment and to completely flush out the chemical they inhale that make them unconscious or expected to kill them eventually.
I believe others are still there most especially the man with N4.2 million in his account, you know how long it will take to withdral the whole amount with ATM card.

My advice to everyone is to try and avoid night travelling or anything risky in order to survive, sometimes life makes it look as if you don’t have a choice and sometimes seems as if it’s a life time opportunity that is coming so you just have to travel at night or do some risky things but when incident like this happen we look back, bite our finger and then knew that we had a choice.

where was the solidarity when ojukwu from "head of state" of biafra reduced himself to contest for a mere senate seat in a state?

where was the solidarity when the man took three shots at trying to become president?

where was the solidarity when the man wanted his party "apga" to be the darling of the south east?
Well said bros well said.

i don't know the kind of job you are in but For most engineering work most especially in exploration and production area where you are expected to work in the field or offshore enviroment they need to determine if you are actually fit for duty or fit for purpose. Most engineering jobs in E&P environment are really physically stressfull, so it is normal to know your health status before commencing.

Autos › Re: Just 349,000 Naira Renault Laguna. Check It Out by domack99(op): 1:45am On Feb 17, 2012
Siena:
What was wrong with the original transmission your Renault came with? I believe you said it was replaced.
.
I got the car late last year and i took it for servicing, according to the mechanic he said he notice that the gear oil was leaking, he told me he mended the place but have to top up the oil but unfortunately he replace with the wrong oil. The car start moving sluggishly and in the event of trouble shooting and moving it up and down, the gear finally packed up according to another mechanic that specialize in Renault, he said the valve body is gone.

I bought another gear that is compatible with the laguna but the problem persist until we are able to get a TCU from another old french car before the car start responding. We couldn't get the TCU for the car because Renault are not common in Nigeria and the new model Renault TCU are not compatible with it. hopefully if we re-program the one we got, the vehicle might be in a perfect condition again.

Siena:
Going by the highlighted part of your post, replacing / re-programming the TCU will not solve your issues. The issues with your trans are internal, so we're talking hydraulic / valve body issues.
Thanks Sienna for your comment. So what do you think is the way forward to get this car moving perfectly, i will appreciate your advice

Siena:
It would help your sale, if you gave at least some basic detail about the issues with the transmission / TCU. No one would really want to traips all the way to see the car, and find it needs to be towed to their home.

Does the car drive?
Do all the gears shift?
Does reverse work?
Does the transmission slip, and lose drive once warm?
Who diagnosed it needed a TCU reprogramme?
What fault codes came up on a scan (assuming it was scanned)?
Sorry for not responding on time, i was out of coverage area.
The car moves very fine and all the gear works perfectly including the reverse. the only issue is it find it stressful to move up a slope assuming u stopped due to traffic or some other reason but without stopping it will ride on perfectly.
The issue being that the brain box do not return to gear one automatically while at rest but sometimes it will and most times it will not.

Please tell me about this TCM thing.
Transmission Control Module TCM is the brain that comes with the gear, it controls the gear system and allow it to function automatically. It can be replaced or repair depending on the issue.
You can call for more details
