Buy credit u can use immediately that minute and leave it empty.. Then try and have another sim from either glo or mtn with enough credit to call in case of emergency at time. That's how I operate mine. On mtn I have enough credit seating duck until I need it, but Airtel, if I want to subscribe 1month internet, I buy 1k and subscribe immediately, and my account is empty. They can't deduct nothing afterwards.

The moment you lose the line linked with your account, you alert your bank and tell them to disable any transactions with that line. It's after that you can now go to your service provider to block the line. These thieves can now access peoples account through the line without using the ussd codes. Sorry about the loss op, May God replace what you lost in multiples.

Good thing I don't use opera mini. The last VAS service they subscribed for me was one that deducted N20 daily. Imagine recharging your line to subscribe only to have 20 bucks chopped off before you finish dialling the code. Very wicked people. I encountered similar fate with etisalat, it took numerous phone calls and social media complaints to get those useless services off my line. These networks are just ripping us off and regulatory agencies are looking the other way
