There has to be a solid reason why an extended family will want to sponsor your education, I’ll suggest reading up transcripts of those who got approved using extended families as sponsors so you’re better prepared on your next attempt.

SEVIS fee payment is well known in most Dallas western Union center.

If I can successfully pay Sevis fee in a rural village in Idaho, I see no reason why your Sevis fee payment has turned to a rocket science lol.

Visa officers now are looking for the slightest mistake to deny you visa lol.

Actually not all of their staff have the technical know how to get that payment done. First guy who did it last week made a flimsy mistake, and at the time of my post Western union was actually down. However, we were able to complete payment at a later time yesterday and got it sorted.

Luckily the VO also saw it on their portal or whatever today before the interview.

How are you processing it? Tell the person to go to the nearest Western Union to pay. The receipt should be sufficient for you.

Initially paid last week. But they messed the payment up and we only just found out when I didn’t get payment confirmation.

Unfortunately, today Western Union is actually down in Dallas.

Been trying to complete sevis fee payment for some days now and been having issues, while interview is tomorrow.

Is it safe to go for the interview while I still wait for the sevis to be processed or I just wait till it’s processed?

Use the feedback option ASAP, join your Sevis and I20 form together and attach them, since there’s only one provision for an attached documents

Thanks boss. I sent mail with all necessary docs to support immediately it happened. Got feedback from them to give them 1 to 2 business days. Woke up early today to do feedback on the site and saw they had linked the whole mail to the my profile.
I’m waiting and keeping fingers crossed like this.

Hello guys, a friend has an MS degree (local) but is pursuing another MS degree in another field as he has switched disciplines. Please what are the pros and cons of adding the previous MS degree in his ds-160?

I don’t know how the home test works. I’m not a fan. What if there’s no light and your gen shuts down when writing? What happens when your system starts misbehaving? So many what if’s! You should have gone to Abj to renew your passport and get it that same day.

actually didn’t plan to take the GRE earlier when I began the process of renewing my passport. The exam is more of an emergency need at this point.
Will keep fingers crossed and see how this week unfolds before making my final decision.

Last week of October. But from the look of things I’ll have to reschedule if my passport renewal doesn’t come through before then. Or I switch to taking the test at home. I just need to confirm the mode of identification necessary to have for the home taken test.

You don't need a passport to register but you need one to write the exam ( test center). It's not needed if you're writing the GRE at home.

I graduated with a 3rd class in Chemistry from three years ago (I only blame myself for that) and after I finished my NYSC a year ago I just plunged into a depressive state in regards to my mistake (my education) and my future (career) sometimes breaking down in tears when I think of things I've taken for granted in my life.

I started working on myself a few months ago and I've made some progress I proud of but every now and then it's easy to be overwhelmed with self doubt.
I made a cv without work experience along with a cover letter a few days ago and applied for a few entry level jobs like graduate intern, sales, restaurant supervisor etc via jobberman and the companies email but I'm not too sure I'll be getting any calls from them.
I didn't come here to get sympathy just an honest advice or opinion on what to do.

Can I do a pgd in chemical engineering or just chemistry or pursue a business or computer/tech course, are there jobs I can get with my degree maybe to get skills and work experience?
I deeply appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Move to tech. Do some digital analytics or marketing courses and build yourself. You’ll be glad you did.
Your certificate just gets you in the building it’s your skills that keeps you in.

For UI PG you don’t need to send a message before the end of next week if NASU is no longer on strike your evaluation should be completed.

Yes I did, yes Nasu is on strike, the issue is that I’m not in Ibadan and need assistance with the whole process when the strike is over.

If it’s just transcript you’re trying to collect you don’t need to be in Ibadan. As I explained to someone else on this group once you pay the transcript fee and apply for the transcript, you’d need to upload your notification of result and that WES form on the request transcript platform, You’ll also need to fill out the destination of the transcript, courier type and some other details. Upon submission you’d see a list of names and phone numbers at the bottom of the request sheet. You can call any of them so they’d follow up and get it done for you. They’re actually the guys who work with the courier services available.
I suggest you use DHL the Lady handling the transcript collection and mailing for them is very efficient. I think her name is Desola. I contacted her and she got it all done and sent in a week.

As at when I did mine it wasn’t available. I advice you reach out to PG school to confirm if it’s actually available before going all the way. If it is then it’s an awesome choice.

It’s not student transcript. It’s meant to be an official transcript and its outside Nigeria.
Should cost 5k or so for the transcript and another 9k via Dhl to get it to Wes. UI doesn’t do the online thing.

If you’ve paid for Wes just log on to the UI portal and pay for your transcript then go to transcript request, upload required documents and generate the form. You’d see one Desola name there who works with DHL. She’ll follow it through. All the best.

It doesn't have to tally, I can study maths and work as an accounting Technician,
As long as you can provide have Proof of Work experience for the said job duties and its continuous for 1 year. you're good to go
