pope191: Seem we can be mean with the way we reason as human. On Tuesday some thing strange happened to me. I got a request around 4 30pm from PGD's to Surulere for 3200. Rider called and ask me to please pick someone there and I should use Adeola Hopewell while leaving there to pick him too. I was like that won't be possible unless he will be adding to the fare. Back and forth will settled for additional 500, since they have learn the habit of saying that is how we use to take it and no driver has ever ask us to add. Got to PGD's and call the person I am supposed to pick. He replied with" I am on my way down". 10 mins of waiting, I have to call him again. This time, he replied with we are almost down. In my mind "WE" I dislike that word like mad. I ask, did you just say we? He replied with yes... please how many is we? 3. Told him I will get back to him. Place a call to the person that book the ride and his reply was... no nah! They should not be more than 2, because we are 2 here the way I changed it for him oga! Please cancel this trip, what kind of rubbish is all these nonsense. You just successfully waste my time. Set of mad people contributing 700 hundred each and yet will inconvenience my life with different complain with preferred route.
Immediately he cancelled the trip, I got another to Surulere from Oriental for 3100. It took me 2 hrs to get to Surulere on Tuesday. I can't even imagine going to Adeola hopewell with the construction going on around there to pick someone. I would have been placeing curse on them right from the car.

olab059: Exactly. It was after people started making fun of his dressing I decided to watch the interview, and I was shocked...and then I watched some of his older interviews too, and became a fan. I wouldn't have bothered researching the guy if people didn't start making fun of him. What a brilliant chess move. Don't mind those noise makers. Wait for campaign to start. |

othermen: I don’t understand why there is so much unnecessary fixation on how he dressed.
There should be more fixation on the absence of his Principal.
There should be more fixation on the speech he gave.
I think he gave the best speech that day. However, anyone can write a beautiful impassioned speech. There were claims in that speech that should be probed.
He said, he has done much with Borno and can do even so much with Nigeria.
He touts Asiwaju Tinubu as the one responsible for Lagos becoming one of the largest economies in Africa.
He touts Asiwaju as being responsible for the development of Lagos State. Is this even true? If it is, is it important?
He touts Asiwaju as helping Lagos increase their internally generated revenue - an amount far better than the rest of the country combined? Should Tinubu be given credit for Lagos? And does that justify why he feel entitled to be accessible to its treasury?
Lagos was ranked second worst city to live in the world; and this was only this year. Is it the promise to Make Nigeria the worst place to live?
Yet, Lagos is the haven we all come. Can we trade Asiwaju’s record of entitlement for his promise of doing a Lagos with a Nigeria?
These and other stories about why Asiwaju might be a falsehood or disaster or messiah should we dwell upon- rather than excessively fixating on this irrelevant.
Peter Obi’s speech was not great. Buhari spoke great deal about corruption in Nigeria too when he aspired. Peter Obi has to do better than memorize numbers and hope to get applause for his recollection prowess. Tell us more!!!Tell them these!!! I've seen this submission by a lot of people. How then did Peter Obi win best speech of the day? |

SamuelTaiw0: As the govt have scrapped the MOT Task Force programme, I noticed there have been a lot of relief on motorists across Lagos. No more stupid and unreasonable offenses and harassment but you know what? Lagos govt is investing heavily on digital monitoring. I've noticed the one at Allen, some areas around GRA there's another one around Otedola. Very hidden but still open somehow but if you're not observant you won't notice and more will be installed as time goes on. People that always use one way, do U-turn anyhow or reversevon the highway go hear am.
The thing is in coming months, a lot of people will be fined heavily. Let's see as it goes. I prefer this one to useless extortion and arguments |
