Lol.. Fibel has contributed in 1 post than you have done....

Now Fibel was able to give details on types of IT a person can. This is what have been asking you to do. He was able to give at least 3 IT that a person can do from home...

Cloud software engineers
Automation test engineers
Penetration testers
Scrum masters
IT project managers
Cyber security experts

Now this is what I wanted you to do .. Which you never did.. It is like someone that wants to invest uber. At least I can point them to the right path and tell them the type of cars to use for uber......

Now with the list of IT jobs listed above by Fibel ... The audience or reader will now go and Google those types of jobs ... And see which 1 will benefit them .. At least they have something to go by .......

Now I Google Penetration Tester. It seems like an ok job .. The entry salary for that job is $87k per year and the highest is $138k per year.....

Fibel has given me more tools to work on.. This are the things I was asking of you to list........ Now if I wasn't running a business I will seriously look into it . but if someone is asking for advice on IT job to do I will Recommend it to them........

Now in terms of doing 2 or more IT jobs from home. IT companies are not happy about that. This will greatly affect productivity...

Telsa Elon Musk stated that he wants all their staff to come back to the office fully .. And if you can't do it than be ready to look for another job.

Which I greatly support.. We need people back in the office fully so that we can the best out of them .. As a business owner I will never support remote work .

Fibel mention taxes: The more money you make the more you get tax .. He mention getting tax like 25% or there about.. He didn't make sense to me because I pay at least 30% in taxes . Now imaging doing 2 or more jobs .. You end up working for uncle "Sam" IRS . All that working 2 or more jobs is slavery to me ..lol

I know some nurses that make around $35 per hour. Which is about $ 72k per year.. This is 40 hrs a week and anything after 40hrs is overtime and now becomes $52.00 per hour.. Must nurses just wan do 40 hrs and go home....

Now the smart nurses will go do their masters in nursing . And become a NP Nurse practitioner. They make roughly between $120k per year to $150k doing only 40 hrs a week. And they are not stressing killing or bending their backs .. This is what I call working smart ..............

And also as a NP you can set up your own practice and make more money. You will make very good money .........

The goal is to work smart , work less and make more money. Even if you are doing 2 IT and talk say it is easy etc. You still have to log in for certain amount of hours. You are still devoting your time whether work is slow or busy...........

I came to work smart not hard .. If am putting that much time for any job , I rather do it for my business...

I say no to slavery by working 2 jobs ..... Can't come and kill myself and work myself to death o. Work will always be there .. Once person drop dead from working 2 or more jobs.. Life continues and you will be easily replace.......

But if you drop dead working for yourself .. Hopefully you family will inherit whatever millions you left behind .. At least you left them a legacy .........

YOYO : YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE .........today was my off day to relax and chill with my guys.. Next week na to load my oyel .... It is tough loading , but I know say am doing for my future and investment .... My off the grid investment .. If u know u know ..
That's false again. Testers are massively needed in the USA hence the need to take 3 or more jobs. Testers are really hard to come by and you're barely attached to a company because you are really needed. USA do not have enough testers. If you understand what the job is also all about, you will know I'm telling you the fact.

Leave Baaz alone biko. Have you mentioned the business you do in USA?

Those who win election are not on the net. The winners of election are the commoners, the market women - older working force... (If twitter is where elections are won, Atiku will be president today)

Solution?
90% of southern youths will go for Peter Obi, but 75% of the southern workforce (especially in the west) will go for Tinubu.

The older workforce are not exposed, know nothin' 'bout politics, and will go wherever the wind blows. If Tinubu is, who the others are voting for, then the large mass of IDGAF voters will vote for him with no reasons at all.

However, I CAN convince my mother and father (Who are the members of the older working force) to go for Peter Obi, and YOU CAN too.

OUR parents, who are ignorant of politics will go with US than believe the words of a man in a vegetative state with nothing to give but a small bag of rice and oil.

That is the only way the south may fall entirely behing Obi. If not, we will wail for 8 more years.

#PreachOBIdienceToYourParents

Dru, I have always enjoyed your posts and openness on this thread but I think baz001 is right on this one.
There are different IT fields where one can do two jobs or even 3 comfortably.
That your  friend is a programmer and decides to stick to one job is his choice but then again, I agree that programming jobs are tasking fields that demands attention especially if you're working for start up firms.
There are IT fields one can go in and comfortably do two to three jobs. Jobs like -
Cloud software engineers
Automation test engineers
Penetration testers
Scrum masters
IT project managers
Cyber security experts

IT is a broad field and if you don't get the right information you'll delve right into programming and think that's all to IT. Along the line you'll find out it's tasking and you weren't cut out for it. I have a friend who moved to the US in 2020 and he does two jobs comfortably, earns over 100k usd per month in each of them and can work from anywhere. He's Cloud software engineer and literally does two jobs. Told me he's looking to add a third when he's done with another certification course. There's nothing like enough money and if he can do two jobs to earn double per year comfortably why settle for less.
I have another friend in who is a pen tester and he's with 2 companies in that same US.
These day's youth are smarter now, even while working, they are looking out for Jobs that are less tasking but pay more and they can even do two jobs while at it.
One of the highest paying jobs in the IT field in the US and worldwide which is cybersecurity is not as hard as people think and you only need python basics to proceed with it.
Programming is just but a subset in the IT field, the trick is to learn one of these  key languages - Java, python and Javascript and go into a field like data science, Test automation, cyber security, AI. Then sit down after learning, maximize your time and earn more  money.
Web development which most people just call programming is what  we mostly know here in Nigeria as IT, this might not be as high paying in the future and is gradually getting saturated.
I am in Test automation and I can tell you that I can do three jobs if I want here in Nigeria. I work remote and I control my time and resources. All I do is to have my test suite ready and when handed a project I run my tests, get results, analyse and that's it. I tried coding( web Dev)  but that wasn't for me because I didn't have the patience for that . I dropped my 2nd job last month because I am now taking a new programming language class as it is a requisite for the new role I am eyeing . All these because I want to be ready for the market when japa comes. And I just got into the IT field this year.

As Bazoo rightly said, young graduates who move to the US within the last five years are more likely to make more money  because they are better informed and armed with the right skills than those who went way before them.

You can still be driving and learning at the same time. Read, research and know where your strength lies as IT can accommodate all.. But that's if you're between 28 - 40 with the zeal to get into the new future where IT will be the real deal in the market sector.

I posted here one time last two years or so that I needed a driver for one of my cars (camry sport 09) but I was advised against putting it up by someone here. I decided to not put it on e-hailing as I had a Corolla coming in. And when the Corolla came in, I looked at the market and decided it was not worth me (personal opinion) so I sold it. Things got rough last last year and I started bolt with the camry. I made the switch this year into IT (no certification, just knowledge) and stopped driving this year.  Nothing beats the peace and money that comes with doing what you love and at your own time.

I have learnt a lot from this thread and I hope this will also spur some people to see this as a stop gap, give yourself a target of 6 months to 1 year to stop driving and use that time to learn and upskill.. Finally, e no easy but e go easy if you put your mind there.

Special respect to Pearl1910 for your utmost maturity, Felicity,Dru, Pope, gentlelife, you guys keep the thread going and informative...
I read your input and it's nothing but the truth. Dru is only trying to depopulate America. His wish about Trump coming back to lock the borders says it all. He wasn't sincere about the tax figures and all. Whatever rocks his boat though. If it was that bad, he would be on the next flight back to Nigeria.

I know someone who does selenium testing, I know how many jobs he does and how much he earns. Your submission just sums it all.

Thank you very much for this. Yorubas are everywhere abusing Peter Obi and they cant even defend Obi successfully but immediately they hear Obiano they rush in droves to destroy Obianio and his laudable achievements which can compete against ANY yoruba governor in history.

After Yorubas must have finished their media war with Obi using their media war chest, who will be left? The same Obiano they want to destroy to promote Obi. They think its just about 2023

Tinubu today is claiming Fashola and all Lagos Govt achievements as his foresight and legacies but the bad politics of Obi and his supporters have made it difficult for him to claim Obiano achievements. All they are using to claim the Airport which they abused in the past is a statement from a northern governor which is rather embarrassing.

This is what I told ofcourse people know me as someone that is not a fan of Obi but since his presidential bid, I've not come to any thread to join yorubas to attack him but if anyone thinks I will allow his supporters to move mad and destroy Obiano legacies in order to promote Obi the they are dreaming.

Even Soludo doesn't give them chance for that, it's not because Obiano does not care about media PR!

I'm not from Anambra state, but based on statistics and generally known fact, Anambra was at the very low and lowest low when Obi took over. The state was an Eyesore. From Asaba to Onitsha was literally from Heaven to hell as described by Obi.

He built the foundation for good governance and took out political rogues like Andy Uba and Co from the state coffers. You won't understand what this means in laying the foundation of good governance.

Mention any governor that left that much amount of money aside Obi I'm Nigeria. None.

He laid the foundation of many project that Obiano later commissioned expeciaslly Onitsha mall and Sab Miller. Most of the projects u even attribute to Obiano are private biz like the coscharis and Lynden farms and also the Awka Millinium City.

If IGr and population increased during Obiano tenure it only means one thing, Obi did well and handed over a stable state to Obiano.

You can't mention Obiano success without talking about Obi's prudence and solid foundation that he laid. This is what we call continuity of government.

There's is no basis for comparing Obi and Obiano. The coming governor has to do better than the outgoing. If u remove obi's effort, u will take Anambra 20 years behind, Appreciate that.

Obi was the first and only governor to build a fund and build a 10 lane road.

He renovated the upper iweka round about.

He built a befitting state Secretariat.

He took Anambra from the bottom 10 state with bad education to the first. He transformed the educational sector. Cleared owed Pensions and salaries.

Mention one governor that left office in this glorious way and I'll believe u that Obi is overrated.
Yar'Adua built airport and still left money in his state. That's just to mention a few. OBI is just a hype. Nothing more

Everything this OP said is true. Obiano also boosted rice production to visible degree. It's everywhere in our state. You don't need to read Audio.

But Obiano failed in internal security. Onitsha evening criminals had surged to a diabolical degree just before Soludo came to tackle them.

But OP, unemployment in Anambra State was reported at 44% in NBS' most recent national unemployment statistics.
Anybody that passed Anambra would have noticed much higher poverty in the state.

But it's Igbos turn: Whether Amaechi or Obi, one must rule. And I know their worst case scenario. It will still be a good one. Osinbajo can go and be Ogun State Gov. They need him.

SUB: PETER OBI- A Hope Betrayed By Edwin Chukwujekwu & Nonyelum Nwokoye

CONGRESS OF PATRIOTIC ANAMBRA CITIZENS

conpanc@yahoo.com

‘’Time they say sweeps everything along and can bring good as well as evil, evil as well as good.’’ Nicolo Machiavelli.

Since 1999 Anambra would have been a good example of how Nigeria will be except for bad leadership and high powered deception by the political class, thus betraying the hopes of the people.

Today, as the state navigates towards 2010, we as concerned Anambra citizens are worried about the future of the state and the fact that the impoverished people traumatized by poverty may be incapable of standing or voting against their oppressor- in - chief .

Otherwise, how do we explain the audacity of the ‘’Continuity Project’’ being powered by the incumbent governor Mr Peter Obi in the face of general insecurity, decayed infrastructure, bad roads, parlous educational system, unending strike action by the state work force, hunger and starvation in so many homes , death in hospitals , disgraceful image the state acquired on account of non performance of his government and other unimaginable consequences of the wickedness inflicted on the people.

How will the people progress from this point without a change? Our mission is to cause change and enthrone good governance in the state .

There is a common saying that ‘’you can fool the people one time but you cannot fool all the people all the time’’.

Obi’s four years tenure has exposed his crass ignorance to the rudiments of good governance, incompetence and lack of values for human capital development.

As stake holders in the Anambra common wealth ,we are duty bound to alert our fellow citizens of the danger of continuing to allow a ruthless drug baron who ought to be facing justice to govern us for another four years.

In furtherance, we give 10 reasons why Obi’s continuity project should be stopped by our collective will except he offers explanation on the following key issues:

1. Those who knew Peter Obi will attest to the fact that he has been a drug dealer beginning from his days as an undergraduate at UNN. He was hardly attending lectures and only managed to graduate with a third class in Philosophy after spending 12 years in the University.

2. His brother in-law who incidentally is one of the hirelings used by him for his nefarious drug trafficking business is currently languishing in jail in far away London . This is the major cause of strain between Obi and his in-laws. It is on record that his closeness to Dubem Obazie was the because he Dubem served jail term for drug trafficking because of Peter.
advertisement

3. Obi should explain his relationship with former Military Administrator, Governor Ibim Princewill and Col Earnest Kizito Attah of Cross River State whom he helped as a conduit to fleece Cross River State government thus contributing to the under development of the state.

4. Obi should explain to Ndi Anambra the circumstances surrounding his father’s death which remains his best kept secret. Before then we can reveal that Obi’s father was drowned to death by Obi’s associates in the drug trade whom he short-changed in a business deal prompting the mafias to kill the old man whom they drowned bounded hands and feet with bricks round his neck.

5. Given the level of insecurity in Anambra state , ‘’Saint’’ Peter Obi should explain how he expends his security vote since it is on record that he collects over 470 million naira per month as security vote (220 million naira from Local Government and 250 million Naira from the state FAC accounts)

6. Just as Peter Obi professes his Catholicism for political expediency, we ask him to summon the moral courage and explain to Catholic faithful his relationship with the Olumba Olumba Obu (OOO) Cult sect where his wife is a known member. It is also on record that Peter Obi met the wife at a night club in Auchi . The lady had two children from two different men -an Albino and a Ghanaian. The affirmed Catholic is yet to wed his wife in the church.

7. Obi is yet to explain the mystery behind the 250 million naira that was found in the possession of his aides. He is yet to produce the contractor and publish the contractual agreement that stipulates that this very contractor will be paid in cash and also a reference to any other known precedents. Not even the famous late Barkin Zuwo of Kano State paid contractors in cash.

8. Obi should explain why he has continued to loot the resources of the state using his brother, Ndibe Obi, Ejike Onwusogbulu and a certain Chidi Agbapu -a Lagos based stock broker as a conduit for money laundering while the youths in Anambra remain unemployed;

9. Obi was elected governor on the platform of APGA and it is on record that he never convened an APGA meeting thereby destroying the entire party structure. Obi should explain to party faithfuls and loyalists why he destroyed the party;

10. Obi should explain to Ndi Anambra what happened to the state local government allocations and why Anambra under Obi is the only state in Nigeria without elected local government officers in place?
