Family › Re: My Neighbour Punishes His 16-year-old Daughter By Stripping Her Unclad by Donchukz(m): 2:37pm On Jun 25, 2019 |
sapien: Good evening, Fam.
I moved into this new area on Lagos Mainland some couple of months ago. However, I just noticed that my middle-aged neigbour in the next building has a penchant for stripping his quite voluptuous, 16-year-old teenage daughter naked in order to punish her whenever she offends him.
I made some enquiries from my other neighbours and I learnt that he has been engaging in this "ritual" for the past 2 years. He sends his wife - the girl's mum and his 2 other children - boys - out of the room, strips his daughter naked and starts whipping her until he is satisfied. I was shocked when I further learnt that the mother had never protested or raised an eyebrow against her husband's weird ritual, but she would rather walk out of the house quietly until whenever the husband was done with their daughter.
I want to enquire if there is any NGO that can take up such case in Lagos and environs, if reported or, better still, if there is any alternative solution to this seemingly case of perversion. . I don't know whether NAPTIP have any role to play here,if they can,let me make their phone number available to u,u can have it 07030000203 |

Business › Re: Africa is Now the World’s Largest Single Continental Market by Donchukz(m): 8:53am On May 31, 2019 |
naijaguy123456:
52 out of the continent’s 55 countries have signed the free trade agreement with the exception of Benin, Eritrea, and Nigeria due to concerns raised by local businesses. Nigeria’s failure to sign the agreement was due to concerns raised by its manufacturing association which says the AfCFTA would have a negative impact on its members.
Nigeria will regret this big time. There is so much to gain from being a partner to this agreement.
The pact aims to boost intra-African trade by making Africa a single market of 1.2 billion people and a cumulative GDP over $3.4 trillion. The UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) estimates that the implementation of the agreement could increase intra-African trade by 52% by 2022 (compared with trade levels in 2010) and double the share of intra-African trade (currently around 13% of Africa’s exports) by the start of the next decade.
Copied . Nigeria will not regret anything here, have you taken your time to study why Nigeria refused to sign the AFCFTA. If Nigeria had signed it,is gonna be to our disadvantages ,forget the 52 countries that have signed the agreement,in the near future they will be regretting why they even joined, why some of them will withdraw their memberships, because their countries will turn to a dumping site of all manner of goods ,and I ask, where will all this goods end; for sure ,is going to be Nigeria and don't forget, every goods that will be coming into Africa,it's destination will be Nigeria,at the end of the day,all manner of goods will end here(Nigeria). If it happened, our economy will suffer for it,many companies will close down, with this in place, Nigeria will depend totally on the outside world for all our needs, you and I knows that is not healthy, they is need for us to strive in producing virtually everything that we need. We don't Nigeria to be a dumping site, instead we should be an exporter of goods to the outside world to avoid imbalance of trade, and when we export,we earned hard currencies, meaning more money in the hands of our local producers. I thank God Nigeria did not sign into it,because we lack the technical know how. |

Today is a day of celebration in all the Igbo land, because our warriors fought like lions with little Arsenals to a more equipped Nigerian army, yet we fought the war with purpose. Today ,is a day of sober reflection,a day to reflect on how the war have affected us(ndi Igbo),affected how we cohabitate with non ndi Igbo,is a day to reflect on the prism which other Nigeria see us(Igbo),how do we see our selves,in this geographical expression(according to Awolowo) called Nigeria,do we see our selves as citizens,do other tribes that make up Nigeria see us as Nigerians, because what I can see on nairaland, they don't see us as one, that is a question for another day. As a secondary school boy,I was opportuned to watch the truth and reconciliation commission, been headed by a well respected Justice,His lordship, justice chukwudifu Oputa, popularly known as oputa panel, where a victim of the civil war gave his account,I remember too well; in given his accounts,on how the Nigerian army committed serious pogrom,on the defenceless women and children, according to United nation charter, women, children and the elderly are not suppose to be harmed, but the Nigerian nation, disregarded it,and the commander in chief,in the person of Gowon, gave the Nigerian army the matching other to kill anything on sight,in the process they massacred, which made the British broadcasting correspondence (BBC) to say,and I quote, "a night have fallen on biafran land",he said so,because no signs of living things in sight. So,am calling on ndi Igbo,to take today serious, and observe it to the fullest in a civil manner. Ndi Igbo are striving,in every sector of the Nigerian economy, our cities are back after all the destructions,I celebrate the indefatigable spirit we have, our moral fibres is incomparable to known. Ndi Igbo, igwe bu Ike,. R.I.P to the biafran soldiers |

Dear brother, don't be myopic, when Tha nations capital was moved down to Abuja, the city planners envisioned that in the future to come,Abuja will be over populated like Lagos, that's they increased the road networks, thereby making traffic to be flexible than Lagos,I have visited some states, their roads are so narrow, that's why the governor is doing what he's doing now. tendingNews: One man's junk is another's treasure - meet the Nigerian sculptor turning metal scraps to pieces of art.
Here is Dotun Popoola, a Nigerian man from Ile Ife who is making waves with his artworks from metal scraps.
Al Jazeera English features him.
He wrote:
"I looked at my self in the mirror and tears rolled down from my eyes, not because i received award, but i remember how i started this ART in Agege 1986 as a kid , sketching on our landlords new Mercedes Benz with sharp nails, cutting my dads leather chairs with charp razor blades, all these has put me in troubles, but now i am an artist with special GRACE.
I listen to Mr @oliverenwonwu read my citation for 8minutes and i couldn't believe he was talking about me, could that be me? i think he was reading the story of a man with special GRACE.
I looked at my wife's face @adeolacakes and i saw the joy on her face for saying yes to me seven years ago when i didnt even look like a man that could take her arround the world, i think she is married to a man full of special GRACE.
I remembered how i use to carry my art work inside Yellow bus(molue), from Abule Egba, looking for who will buy on Island, and sometimes i would end up selling it cheaper just to get transport back home, but now only selected few who are well feed can afford it, i think you are buying a work of a man with special GRACE.
Key into the GRACE of God and your story will change shortly. Abeg let me go and Weld jare..... where is my apron, this TUX is giving me heat."
