Last i checked, this manual and automatic transmission was not about wich one is better to the other in general but the question was which transmission is better for e- hailing.

They keep on insisting that manual is the best for the job meanwhile most of them don’t drive manual, so who is fooling here.

I type and drive most time l, so tell how will that be Possible on manual transmission.

Let’s try to be objective wen making our opinion so that we wont be having uneasy arguments.

Peace.
Please quote one single post where someone said Manual is better for E-hailing.

Don't tell me you struggle with comprehension.

Nobody talked down on automatic transmission. We only corrected the impression that a manual is very difficult car to drive.

It is not difficult as they paint it, but I don't expect you to understand sha

Driving is stressful. Even when we drive for long hours with an automatic car, we still get tired.

Look well, you'll see that those against manual have never driven it before.
But they have more Manual experience. grin grin

My point here is manual car is not good for transportation business.. Especially in heavy traffic and I will not recommend it for anyone ..... They are tools out there to make life simple, why not use them .........
Your point is well noted.
But don't make it look like you're the only one with a valid point.
Try to always be flexible sir.

Mr. Man come down ... Most cars abroad na Auto ,very few people drive manual abroad o compare to Auto ....

If a car dealer buys manual cars and Auto ... the auto will sell faster before the manual.....
You're the one that needs to calm down bro, cos you've actually driven this argument out of context.

No one ever said here that manual cars are better than AUTOs. Yet that's the only point you're trying to make.

I be wan quote am same thing,
Suffering and smiling, as if whites that built Auto to replace manual doesn’t know why they did.

I choose comfort over anything, auto that you can easily engage reverse and drive in case of any trouble.

That’s how I was at agungi around 10:45pm waiting for mainland trip, I was inside the car resting while waiting for the trip, suddenly I heard people shouting and running, immediately I put on my engine just in case of anything, a guy just came from behind to my car and wanted to hit my car windscreen with plank, I just quickly engage my car gear and put it on Drive.

I hit the guy and he fell in front of my car, I wanted to climb him and zoom off but something just struck me not to kill someone, so I quickly engage my reverse with ease and cut my hand while I engage my Drive to zoom off.

If I was driving manual, probably I will be at ladipo the next day to look for windscreen or be in a hospital receiving treatment from the beating I would have received...
You can say AUTOs are better alternatives. But they never stopped building Manual cars.

There are later model of cars that are Manual.
Have you asked why?

You escape dangers faster with manual cars than an Auto car.

Seems you haven't rode a Manual car before.

Most security and bank cars are manual.
Make your research.

They are not making money yet. They want riders and drivers to be used to the brand before they start charging for their service.
My projection:
Whenever they deem right to start getting paid, anything more than 10% commission or a SUBSCRIPTION model; they have worked for nothing. Arguably, most drivers like oloshos would port to a more favorable company.
8% commission.

That's totally false. The ones with the potential, even if they're still young and are virgins, you'll still know cos you'll see in them the eagerness. However, not all are potentials, Never!
To you.
Not to me bro.

Back then in school, scoring 70/100 is Graded A.
A stands for 5.0GPA.

So anything that's rated over 70% can be approximated to 100%
This is where I drew my conclusions from.
Cos majority of them are already on the broad lane.

I expected everyone to see the exaggeration in those my comments. Cos regardless of how bad these girls are, everyone have someone they can vouch for.

If not for them many won't be in this line of business and the ripple effect will even spread as far as reaching both our spare parts and mechanic shops. So let's respect them for what they do.

As a matter of fact prostitution is the 2nd oldest profession after farming.

Olosho makes up 70-85% of every drivers earning.
Every girl(unmarried) in Lagos is an Olosho.
Just that some are still at the potential state.

So today, being 1st Monday and 1st day of the month, I started work late, I was just resting due to the weekend stress cuz I’m always on the road through out the weekend.

I decided to set destination to ajah from mushin then when I get to island, I set destination back and close for the day.

While destination was on, a request came in from ladipo market to igbo efon, I was happy cuz I knew that would give me nothing less than 3k, on getting to PU, rider asked if I can deliver 2 Tyres to someone at igbo efon, in my mind, I said this is a big opportunity for me.
I asked the rider if we can run it offline and rider agreed without feeling reluctant, he asked for my price and due to fear of overcharging people, I asked for the highest estimates and he said 3400 then I demanded for 4K for the offline, He agreed without pricing.

He made a call to the receiver and told him my price, that moment, I just realized I could carry someone going to island along with the tyres, then I started waiting for request on inDriver going towards island, but I went back home while I was waiting for the request to come.

I had waited for about 10mins and didn’t see any request going towards island then I decided to set destination back to ajah on bolt.

Just few min after setting destination to ajah, a request came in on inDriver to agungi with an offer of 3k, I quickly accepted the offer before another driver did and the rider accepted mine too.
I was about calling the rider when another request came in on bolt going to island also but I couldn’t say where exactly on the island so I 1st called the bolt rider to ask where he/she is going and she said agungi, and inDriver rider was heading to agungi also, in my mind, I said I will run the 3 trips at once.

When I checked pickup location of the 2 riders, they were actually on same street but one at the beginning while the other at the end of the street, I was like see how God made this so easy for me.

I went to pick the inDriver rider 1st and explained to her, she agreed without feeling insecure, in my mind, I was like this is easy mehn,

The other rider was waiting for me at the filling station on the street, when I got to her, she opened the door and realized someone was sitting beside me at the front, she thought she entered the wrong car and wanted to go down but I stopped her and explained to her, she was feeling so insecure and wanted to drop but I convinced her and she agreed reluctantly to go with us but online.

In my mind, I was like who mind if it’s online or offline, so far you are going to pay me for the trip, then I’m making triple on a single trip.

Both the inDriver rider and bolt rider were actually going to like 2 estates away from each other but inDriver estate came 1st while the bolt rider estate is the next junction but I decided to drop bolt rider 1st since it was online, her trip ended on 2800, she made a complete transfer of 2800 and I went to drop the inDriver rider and she paid in full her 3k offer too.

Remember I still have 2tyres in the trunk to deliver, drove straight to Igbo efon from agungi, told receiver the traffic was really mad and I would have done the trip online cuz it would have read more due to the traffic but actually, there was no single traffic cuz I didn’t leave immediately, due to how I talked to him, rider paid me 5k instead of 4K we agreed.

That’s how I killed 3 birds with a stone and made 10800 on a single trip and I didn’t use up to 1500 fuel to cover the trip.
Kudos bro.
But please learn to be contended.

We don't just pick and drop riders; we offer them privacy and sense of security.
But you compromised that with greed bro.

Fake Alerts and Rider Scam:

I don't reject transfer except if you are going to the airport or Lagos island. But you MUST agree to wait for confirmation before I release my bank account details. The only confirmation I care about is the one from my phone.
N:B there are exceptions though; if you are sitting in the from and I follow the whole transfer process from A-Z.

These tips could help-
1. Try to have as much account from different banks as you can.

2. If a rider asks "which bank", reply with "which one are you sending from let's see if I can save you some transfer fee?"
The idea of saving them transfer fee cancels the perception of being rude. An average rider believes they are better than you.

3. If you don't have every other bank, try to have Access in your toolkit. From experience it delivers alert swiftly.

4. If a rider starts to tell you how his Benz is costing him serious money or how he just bought a car for his girlfriend. (You know those kind of unsolicited gist) BE ON YOUR GUARD.

5. If for example a rider trip is from Agungi to Chevron and on getting to Chevron you are pitching going to Egbeda in the next couple of hours to me. Bros, I can wait for your alert for the next 45 minutes. Don't get greedy.

6. Don't get greedy, if you are waiting for an alert and 2.4x surge enters am not leaving without seeing your money. A bird at hand... And it takes an average surge more than 5 minutes to vanish completely.

7. To minimize waiting time for payment confirmation, of you are not a fan of bank App be sure to have internet banking. They let you know what's up even when text alert delays.

Guard your money guys, you worked for it. They are not doing you favours.
A little observation..

If He/She transferred with the bank app, you can go once it's successful and He/She got debited.

But if it's USSD code transfer, please wait till you get an alert or confirm that the money have reflected in your account.

80% of failed/reversed transactions were done using USSD code. I've strictly observed this. And I've never seen a successful App transfer reversed yet.
