Politics / Re: VIDEO: When I Hear The Name Sunday Igboho, I Get Scared And Cold- Seriki Fulani by Dong2: 1:39am On Feb 05, 2021
lekanolas:
The Seriki Fulani of Igangan, Saliu Abdulkadri says he dreads the name of popular Yoruba nationalist, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho .

Abdulkadri says he is always scared and cold whether he hears Sunday Igboho.
Speaking in an interview with the BBC on Thursday, Abdulkadri said what he experienced when Igboho and his boys stormed his residence was still fresh in his memory.

He said he has never experience and witness such in his life.

Abdulkadri, who has relocated to his hometown in Ilorin, Kwara State stated that the day heard that Igboho has gone to Ogun State, he could not sleep.

Describing Igboho as a wicked person, Abdulkadri accused Igboho of killing his only brother during the attack on the Fulani community that fateful Friday.

He added that Igboho and his boys waited to kill him but he escaped miraculously.

Abdulkadri again denied allegation by Igboho that he was habouring the herders allegedly kidnapping and killing residents of the area.

My opinion in short is where are these women when cultist sacked major communities in Benin for weeks, and months? Most popular guys in Benin leaving abroad and outside home can’t go home not for the fear of herdsmen but cultists who they grew with as brothers/friends.

We know there’s a problem with the Fulani herdsmen crisis but most of the women protesting do not have the right to protest since they are breeders of violent men who are blood thirsty.

I’m not into politics and do not support crimes perpetrated by the Herdsmen but the fact is we can only rightfully “punish all disobedience when our obedience is complete”

Callyd:
Reports got to us that people suspected to be thugs and hoodlums on Monday night set ablaze the house of Seriki Fulani in Eggua, Yewa North local government area of Ogun State, Alhaji Adamu Oloru, killing one person and scores of cows.

The attack was allegedly carried out by angry youths who followed the Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly called Sunday Igboho, to the community. It will be recalled that Sunday Igboho, on Monday, visited the state with a promise to flush out killer-herders.

The Seriki’s son, Suleiman Adamu, who disclosed this to newsmen in an interview on Tuesday, said one Alhaji Jiji was burnt to death, while his father’s settlement was razed down

He added that over 40 cows were killed in the attacked.
He said, “right now there is tension everywhere. We managed to get our father escape during the attacks,”.............CLICK BELOW TO CONTINUE READING..........

Seconded.

......the criminals and evil ones among the herdsmen must be brought to book.

And nothing must happen to the innocent Fulanis doing their legit business wherever they chose to live in their country, just the same way Igbos and Yorubas live all over the country especially the Northern part of Nigeria doing their legitimate business with no one disturbing them all labeling them fraudsters and thieves cos of some few ones among them into frauds.

The State Governors need to take a solid stand in all the evil herdsmen killings and innocent Fulani's and other
tribes suffering as well.
And against any blood thirsty animal fuelling this arson.

Enoughis enough.
Any Citizen of Nigeria can choose to live anywhere in Nigeria that they want as long as they respect the rules and regulations governing the Land..... so says Nigeria Constitution.

Governors Must Build Ruga For Fulani Herdsmen in Their States For Peace To Reign – Prof. Usman Yusuf

In an interview, monitored by our correspondent, the professor of medicine argued that if Sabon Gari towns could be created for Igbo and others in every part of the North, nothing stops the creation of RUGA for the herdsmen in all the states of the federation.

As nationwide discussions continue following the eviction order by the Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu to Fulani herdsmen to leave the state’s forests, prominent pro-Fulani voice and former Executive Secretary of National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Prof Usman Yusuf has said, no governor has the power to evict other ethnic group from his state, and that the problem will continue until RUGA is created all over the country to settle Fulani herdsmen.

Politics / Re: Deji Adeyanju Drags Buratai To ICC, Demands His Arrest & Prosecution by Dong2: 11:32am On Jan 31, 2021
lalasticlala:
Deji Adeyanju's Concerned Nigerians Group writes ICC, demands arrest and prosecution of ex-Army chief, Tukur Buratai

The Concerned Nigerians Group has filed a petition at the International Criminal Court (ICC), demanding the arrest and prosecution of the immediate past Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, over allegations of human rights violations and crimes against humanity while he was in office. Buratai alongside the other service chiefs were removed from office on Tuesday, January 26.

The group in a letter filed by its Convener, Deji Adeyanju, asked the ICC to investigate, arrest and prosecute Buratai to serve as a deterrent to others who have made it a point of duty to ''indiscriminately abuse the rights of Nigerians.''

The letter addressed to Fatou Bensouda, the court’s Chief Prosecutor reads:

“We write to call on the International Criminal Court and all lovers of democracy and human rights in the world to immediately investigate, arrest and prosecute Lieutenant General Buratai (Rtd) who was just relieved of his duty as Chief of Army Staff for crimes against humanity and the Nigerian people.

It will be recalled that sometimes in 2015, Lieutenant General Buratai (Rtd) ordered members of the Nigerian Army to kill over 300 defenseless Nigerian Shiite Muslims on the unjustifiable grounds that they ‘touched a general’s chest’. That event has been appropriately tagged the Zaira massacre and it has further worsened the insecurity situation in Nigeria. Shortly thereafter, Lieutenant Buratai (Rtd) ordered the Nigerian soldiers to kill hundreds of Nigerian citizens of South Eastern extraction, in the guise of searching for members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

It is particularly noteworthy to mention that as at the time Lieutenant General Buratai (Rtd) ordered the massacre of IPOB members, the group had not been proscribed by the Nigeria Government. Additionally, we have been able to gather from different independent sources that Lieutenant General Buratai (Rtd) personally ordered the killing of the innocent protesters at Lekki toll gate, Lagos, on October 20, 2020.

It is on the basis of the foregoing, among other human rights abuses, that we call on the International Criminal Court and friends of Nigeria to urgently investigate, arrest and prosecute Lieutenant General Buratai (Rtd), to serve as a deterrent to members of the Nigerian Armed Forces and their civilian collaborators who have made it a point of duty to indiscriminately abuse citizens’ human rights.”

Nairaland / General / Re: (FULANI) Reason Nigeria Can't B Sufficient In Producing Livestock Meat And Milk by Dong2: 2:01am On Jan 31, 2021
Aguiyi1020:
Nigeria is the largest producer of livestock (cattle, sheep and goat) in West Africa but also the largest importer of processed milk in the region, spending a whopping sum of approximately $1.3 billion per annum for milk importation. The reason is that cows in Nigeria produce just about 1.5 to 2 litres of milk per day compared to cows in Kenya which produce up to 30 litres per day and cows in Israel which produce between 45 and 60 litres of milk per day. In Israel, there are over 520,000 sheep and goats, and the standards for ruminant dairy farming are just as high as the standards for cows. Israel’s goats produce over 11 million litres of milk every year. Similarly, in August 2018, the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization introduced a new high yielding goat breed (Galla Buck) that can produce up to eight litres of milk a day, four times more than what other goats yield and is good for meat production. For Nigeria, unfortunately, virtually nothing in terms of milk comes from Nigerian goats and sheep while many countries are exporting cheese.
Aside from milk production, cattle in many developed economies yield more beef than their Nigerian counterpart because they are reared in ranches and grow to be between 700 and 1000 kg, whereas the Nigerian cattle reared under the nomadic system never exceed 300kg as a consequence of the stress resulting from the archaic system of endless wandering. I have used the illustrations of Israel and Kenya to show that what a first or second world country (Israel) can do, a third world country (Kenya) can do the same. Concerning nomadic traditions, interestingly, Israel, Kenya and Nigeria have tribesmen with an age long history of nomadic tradition; Israelis have the Bedouins, Kenyans have the Massai and Nigerians have the Fulanis. So why are these two countries making waves in the dairy sector and Nigeria is lagging behind. For starters, it is not about the climate or weather, Kenya is more temperate (colder) than Israel, it is simply about the livestock management system.

They are not moving forward and ll not let other tribe move forward too! Bastards
