I'd like to make another suggestion.
3D printed Prosthetic hands are available from the openhands project. Very inexpensive compared to others.

He'll be able to gain some functionality and make almost full use of all fingers.
Pls tweet this great suggestion @Henrikachi and I will give it some publicity. Thank you.

......... God bless you once more bro. What is the story with his hands? What happened to him? I'm curious!
I did not ask. I don't want to evoke emotions.

He finally revealed on Cool FM, Lagos this night on how he lost his hands.

His uncle he was living with at the tender age of 8 tightly tied his hands and legs and locked him up in a room for 3 days. The nerves on both hands had already died and the hands dead before he could be rescued. He was in tears as he narrated!

You guys remember my #NoHandsButStillClapping Guinness #MadeOfBlack Hero, right? You can read earlier story here >> https://www.nairaland.com/2576062/present-hero

His name is Adekunle Adebisi. He is married to a beautiful wife and they're blessed with two awesome kids.

It all got down real good for him today as Guinness Nigeria crew gave him a surprise visit at his duty post. He later revealed to Guinness that he has been sweeping for the past 12 years! Can you beat that!!!

Guinness Nigeria, on the other hand, came with lots of goodies and promises for Adekunle. Sorry guys, I'm not allowed to divulge in details all that Guinness Nigeria had in stock for him... Yea, yea, you know... proprietary stuff. kiss

My #MadeOfBlack Hero was all smiles and thankful. He just couldn't hold back the joy. *teary eyes* I'm so happy to know that God used me (@Henrikachi) and YOU all to remember this unknown and unsung hero. This is how the society should function; celebrating those who against all odds keep pushing for a better Nigeria.

Special thanks to Guinness Nigeria (@guinnessvip), Dotun (@Dotuncoolfm), @Omojuwa, @IamDorobucci, Mannie (@manipulator77), Tonydoo (@tonydoovisuals), Nairaland, Pulse NG (@pulsenigeria247).

My name is Henry Igwe; I am made of LOVE FOR HUMANITY... I am Made of Black!

Thanks @ op for bringing this up. Immediately I saw the topic something told me that it's the guy I used to see at Townplanning Pedestrian bridge and I was right.

There is something you forgot to mention....He doesn't stop, look up and plead for alms while he is sweeping.

Others will stop sweeping, look up at passersby and plead for money. Sometimes they even stop sweeping halfway if they get enough money.

But this guy faces his task, sweeping vigorously and sweating profusely till he is through. He only stops briefly to thank you with a smile when you give him something.

It's almost like he doesn't care whether he gets money for the sweeping....like he only wants to finish the job.

That to me, is the best thing about what he is doing. He really needs to be celebrated!
Indeed, you know him!

I totally agree with you op. I climbed that bridge through out my work days last year.. And you forgot to add, he is very educated. His diction is unbelievable. His extreme fluency in English was one of the things that got me wondering what could have happened to his hands. He works for last a to keep the bridge clean I think
So true! His diction is awesome.

This should have come as a topic of its own. No one is really useless unless he chooses to. May the Lord continue to strengthen him. I hope the govt will identify him and acknowledge his role as a partner in keeping our environment clean. Kudos.

BORN INTO WEALTH AND FAME.

I always use a pedestrian bridge at Anthony Bus stop along Ikorodu Road, Lagos state on my way to work each morning.

There is a man who makes sure the bridge is kept clean no matter the weather - sunny or rainy. He sweeps the length of the bridge with passion and enthusiasm. I often wonder where he gets his motivation.

This man HAS NO HANDS!!! Both his wrists are cut-off by what I assume was from a factory machine accident. How he holds broom? He clasps both bones together while sandwiching the broom between them.

While many of his kind are begging, this #MadeOfBlack Hero has decided to be useful to the society. He is always full of appreciation. His charming smile and prayers motivates me each morning.

My opinion, if anyone deserves nominating for the Guinness #MadeOfBlack, it is this Hero! I have a secretly recorded video of him which shows in clarity his good works... Let's help give this much publicity so that this unknown and unsung #MadeOfBlack Hero will be celebrated.

I woke up yesterday (Sunday) feeling a little bit down having had deep thoughts most part of the night over the stormy state of the Nigerian polity. The most bedevilling being the almost daily depreciation of the naira in the foreign exchange market which keeps online currency conversions on the high side and consequently, constraining my budgets and scope as a digital advertiser/marketer.

Anyways, I decided to prepare some ogbono soup as I have missed the delicacy for a long time. As a good student of my mum's, I made a list of "things to buy" and off to Ojota market I went. Thirty minutes later, I was home and in the kitchen; battling it out with my culinary skills. Few minutes later, all was set but the eba.

"What is the best way to capture my mood?" I thought to myself as I moulded the "eba" into a fine shape. That was when the idea in pictures struck me - an "Angry Eba". angry #Bachelorhood

You are wrong! There is nothing like Middle Belt in Nigeria political and/or geographical structure. We have North (West, Central and East) and then South (West, South and East).

I was initially thinking of doing HSE 1,2,3 and then proceed to CCNA certification, but with what i was read online, the international bodies do not recognize HSE 1,2,3. Will it be a smart move to replace the HSEs with this 100000 naira world-wide recognised professional certification, and then later go for CCNA ? cc: donigspain, Nobody, Cnwaiche, rodeo0070, bashexyz, richiepmp etc...

chyna4luv:
@donigspain what the guy said regarding the deductions is true. Though, you will get the job if you meet all the requirements and pass their client's interview.

@ALL Please if you know that you don't want to work as a contract staff and would not want to be molested by a full staff(colleague) in the bank or wherever they place you, then, I would advise you stay back. I am talking from my own experience. Those full staffs that you had same qualification(BSC OR HND) with, will surely molest and downcast you(You will turn to errand boy and girl). Your duties will be more than theirs with poor pay, while, theirs will be good pay, other benefits and less responsibilities.
But, if you can bear it, then go for the job. I can never apply for job through outsourcing firms again.

GOOD LUCK!
That has always been the assumption of people especially those who don't understand how Staff Seconding and Resourcing works. There is a difference between Contract Staff and Seconded Staff. ICS provides Seconded staff as well as Staff Resourcing. Government regulation will never allow illegal deduction from s staff. That's slavery. Most recruitment firms make money from Service Charge penned down on the contracts and not on individual seconded staff payroll. Take a look at India, China and othe Asian countries whose economies thrive on outsourcing.
As for allowing ''full staff'' to molest you, that's mostly based on one's self confidence and level of understanding. You can only allow your fellow staff boss and molest you if you are not sure of your terms of service. Nigerian need to read more.

Most banks will nt take hnd as full staff. because of discrimination. Do u know any bank that accept Hnd pls
Banks take more HNDs as full staff than BSCs. I speak from experience.
