seankafor:What do you have to say about the learned, literate people who actively enable the politicians that do these things you're complaining about and give them cover?? What do you say to a person who sees where the common masses are decrying the use of 2 bullion vans to buy votes and someone literate is asking you, "how sure are you of what was inside"? "What is wrong with a politician's bank deciding to send a customer his money through bullion van"? That is, this literate person is trying to obscure and skewer the fact that a stupendously corrupt political partook in the abhorrent act of inducing poor masses with money for votes. Or people who are trying to rationalize and justify a corrupt politicians son vying for office when we all know the intent of those people for going there?? What do you say to these enablers? |
Surely this "can't win" talk has to be a propaganda from what's up group or something, the way all BATstards are just repeating and repeating it.. You people have said Obi can't win , oya we do hear now. Tomorrow is when it all happens, so what's all this rubbish about.. The fact that you have the need to say it 70 times shows that you are jittery. Abeg this thing is just 24 hours away. Make we hear word. |
Ibime:Why exactly?? Is this jarus different from any of us here that sit in the comfort of our parlor sharing states here and there for this candidate or the other?? Meanwhile we have anap and stears with a track record of producing some good polls in previous election cycles that indeed came to fruition. What exactly is the hype around the dude? |
I truly can't tell if I'm living in a bubble because my WhatsApp is completely flooded with Pro Obi campaigns. I don't have a single person of mine supporting Tinubu. Haa. This faux confidence of BATstards. ![]() Scenes when APC comes 3rd and they realize nigerians are not robots that don't respond to their glaring failures. ![]() |
Very important tips before heading to the polling booth.
|
Hahaha. ![]() Truly we have come a very long way and made a lot of progress, seeing this takes me back. Infact later today I will post our journey so far.. Glad to have won over sooo many early naysayers. The kind mockery and attack we receive no be small. . Some said Obi was coward for RUNNING away from his party. That he was a sore loser! Now he's the number one politician in this country. His brand has been built gigantically. I hope it ends in joy tomorrow. DontBullshitMe: |
DontBullshitMe:Very Well said, apart from the last paragraph sha.. In as much as all the factors do favor Obi. The number one overwhelmingly thing going for him is CANDIDATE QUALITY. Of the Frontline candidates, he is undoubtedly the best option. Even the blind can see this. That factor is the number one thing working in his favor before you factor in equity, rotation and justice. I was listening to one Yoruba dude on channels today who was hammering on the fact that no "true Yoruba" son can subscribe to the "awa lokan mantra" seeing as everyone knows this is certainly not the turn of yorubas, then the anchor tried to push the narrative away from talking about region of the candidates but the man was insistent on pointing out that of the 3 candidates, only tinubu is from a region that has actually produced a president added with a vice in the current Democratic dispensation. |
I'm surprised that the USA is this invested in our elections. It's one thing for their president to send a tweet but for ALL her highest foreign diplomats to actually sit down and create this video for our elections is a message in and of itself. What is really peculiar about our own elections, as in I've not seen this for any other country, especially African countries. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UM9BxMrzLEU |
It's always funny hearing Batist say, "all I want is the best for the country", while simultaneously selling us an old decrepit, mysterious and corrupt candidate. If you own a business and you love it soo much, will you pick an incapable person to spear head that business? Abeg make una dey spare us that cock and bull, I want what's best for the country while selling tinubu, it's like telling someone you love the person while beating the person at the same time. It makes no sense. |
Ellexy: ![]() I love this angu. |
raumdeuter:Always with the false equivalences time and time again, once he's boxed in, he brings a non correlated analogy to twist the narrative. In this analogy now, you're asking if people that stake on football matches ask about refree fraud? Except what you're leaving out is that refree fraud barely ever happens but in a Nigerian elections, refree fraud is the order of the day. Infact turning this your analogy on its head; One asks; WILL ANYBODY BET ON A MATCH WHERE THE REFREE IS FAMED FOR RIGGING AND REFREE FRAUD? |
raumdeuter:Simple answer, WE DON'T KNOW IF THIS WILL BE ENOUGH!!! You just keep repeating the same thing over and over again! Deliberately obscuring facts as if you don't understand what is being said. In a free and fair elections, obi wins in a landslide, seeing as he's the most popular candidate. But this is Nigeria where an osun state governor is about to be denied his mandate, where the imo state governor is there bases on institutional corruption and rigged system, where we know for a fact that the official numbers of inec results are never the realities on ground. You're sounding like a broken record already. |
FBS:Surely you can spot how disingenuous you're being. Blueray had already told you that of course, it's within his daughters constitutional right to campaign for office. The issue is here is that, you now, you as a person, do you encourage situations where politicians after serving, especially these our very corrupt self serving class of politicians we have, do you PERSONALLY think that it is okay for a politician to groom their children to take over from them?? Stop cutting through the corners. This your latest position is yet another example of how you pro Batists people seem to have a broken moral compass.. That message was already clear. It's not right for politicians children to be groomed for public office ESPECIALLY our nigerian politicians who just do this for the sake of sheer power and influence to the detriment of we nigerians. |
Theflint1:The irony here is just Soo funny. 😁😁😁 Suddenly they believe in polling and projections. The thousands of polls I've posted here we're dismissed as ineffectual but suddenly a nonentity on Twitter is whose opinion should be regarded because he projects your favored candidate to win. 🤗🤗🤗 |
Theflint1:Lord knows I would pester them for that answer.. That thread is too important to feign ignorance about. |
Segedinho:You see what we're saying ?And you have evil people here who would tell you not to talk about rigging even when we know very well that election rigging has been constant throughout our Democratic endeavor. The establishment is fighting back hard. |
Theflint1:As in? I'm trying to understand the hype around the jarus guy. Is he better than professional polling companies that employ statistical models and data to predict voting pattern and favorobility of a candidate? I have always maintained that this election will be vastly different from what we've seen before. Infact the candidacy and rapid growth of obi's campaign is already testament to that. Almost every neutral observer 6 months ago genuinely believed that Obi was going nowhere but look at it today, you can't talk about the nigerian election in any part of the country today without talking about Obi. The man is now a household name. More than 90 percent of all nigerian household has an obi supporter, whether voting or non voting. The campaign has rapidly altered the method of campaigning in Nigeria. All within the space of 6 months!! I can't wait to see the shock on people's faces when they start seeing the results of nasarawa state, Abuja, plateau, benue and taraba state. Mark these 4 state's I just mentioned. They will be shocked. |
nihilistjnr:I agree with everything that has been written here but the ultimate question still remains nihilist; WHAT DO YOU WANT NIGERIANS TO DO?? What is your advice to the average Nigerian out there? Bar this you have barely critized tinubu, note the word "barely", not like you criticize Obi at least. So what advice, SPECIFICALLY do you have for nigerians? You can't say Japa because statistically, it's impossible for a majority of a population to abandon their home, not even war torn countries. So the average nigerian out there who doesn't have the privilege of the 1 percent that makes nigeria bearable, what do you say to those people to do right now? |
Theflint1: |
OasisX:To be honest, these last minute buhari ventures where he seems to actually be very intent on creating a level playing field is succeeding at white washing his image. I know I was shocked to hear my father praise buhari's antics this election season.. someone wey no dey use ear hear buhari before. ![]() Buhari right now is doing the right thing for Nigeria, if this ekpas arrest is really true then you know the man really means business.. |
This Simon ekpa arrest is a double edge sword. There are some ipob pages on Facebook right now going ballistic about this. Arresting him at this very moment can actually spur negative violent reactions from his lunatic supporters.. I hope the security agents are battle ready to deal with this in the south east.. For the ipobians, arresting kanu was one thing, arresting his successor spells doom at least in the immediate moments.. Which kain wahala be this now. Doomed either way. |
Itsrm:Again apples and oranges. In that post you quoted. I asked to be shown just a single media house that projected any of them as a Frontline candidate with a shot. Or any poll that had them in front. Trying to compare an obi's candidacy with that of sowore or moghalu is simply false. Obi is even regarded as the forerunner now. As in that the election is he's to lose. Show me anything similar to this before. |
liveLongNprospa:If this is true, wike na correct bastard. I can't wait to see what happens to this fella out of office.. I believe that they have been different points where he bit more than he could chew. Let's keep watching sha. Na here we dey. |
liveLongNprospa:I bet you, before the week runs out, he would love to pull your leg again to get a negative reaction from you. If you know you don't have the zeal to start being a keypad warrior, just avoid the provocations no matter how bad it is. At least until you decide to. |
BlueRayDick:Apples and oranges! Show me any media house or poll that gave any of them any chance of winning?? Voting any of these is similar to to just staying at home. |
OasisX:Wait, is this real?? |
larride:Because a vice president is largely ineffective and inconsequential. From namadi sambo down to osinbajo we can see how ineffectual they've been at doing anything. But now we have a credible alternative with a solid chance at the top seat. That makes all the difference. |
Patrick, to get my point well, look at it this way. Let's assume that there was no Obi of labor party on the ballot. And the options for presidency for us were tinubu of APC, a morally bankrupt and very corrupt political godfather and atiku, another sick, morally bankrupt and cronyistic corrupt political septuagenarian. Many people would be appalled by those choices but in the end you realize you are helpless to the situation and must vote because your voice has to be heard. You seive through various factors and then think of what both platforms stand for. I'm sure that if these were the only choices, I wouldn't waste my breath campaigning for any just like in 2019 and I would just close my nose and perhaps vote for atiku because I think failure should never be rewarded but I wouldn't be under any delusion as to what to expect from atiku. Now apply this to 2019 and then you rationalize my voting pattern. |
patrickmuf:It's very simple, this election is very different from 2015 and 2019. In 2019, buhari's administration was bad but the alternative was even worse! So the basis of your votes is not necessarily based of candidate quality but the implications of the presidency.. I personally detested the dominance of PDP circa 2015 and believed that we needed to maintain a multi party democracy no matter how bad the quality of opposition was and today one can say that gamble has paid off.. Look at Cameroon, look at Kenya, look at Uganda, look at Zimbabwe, look at Niger. These are African countries where on the surface looks like a democracy but where in essence are almost similar to communists and autocratic countries because the citizens have no other choice and are totally helpless about it. But this election presents a unique opportunity to even achieve a unique phenomenon, something almost unheard of! That a mushroom party is elevated to the highest office, fueled by ordinary Nigerians. That is too good an opportunity to pass up. |
I've had to go back 10 pages and understand exactly what happened yesterday. And boy, all I can say is, obidients should really be mindful of the shenanigans that occurs here. I won't stop pointing out the group think and mentality pervasive here. Don't let yourself fall victim, especially to those with an axe to grind or barking dogs without bones. I tried to understand exactly why I was being attacked and saw it was just a classic case of hatred from those who habor animosity towards me here. Yes, I'm aware that my historical positions on issues have bore me bad blood that just wouldn't fade. And some decided to be roped in.. There are people who I have consistently attacked and hounded on this thread for the past 6 months and who are they? The BATSTARDS!! Those who are STILL supporting a terrible candidate despite the numerous 🚩🚩. People attempted to make it look like people I am attacking are those who voted for APC in previous elections, well not really that but those who CONTINUE to support the APC despite the absolute failure of governance from those people. Listen I have given my reasons for voting APC in 2015 and 2019, now the thing here is this, whatever my actions were, the standing fact is that my motivations for doing so was from a place of genuine hope for the betterment of our country. Not any other thing but purely, what I felt was the best path forward for this country. Unlike people who voted or supported APC because they stood to gain something materially or to satisfy tribal sentiments, my own reasons are grounded in the eternal hope of who I genuinely believed had the best chance to improve the fortunes of this country. Now, it did not turn out that way, we that supported APC were disappointed even after 2 tries, now this takes us to the present, are people now attempting to fault me for not still supporting APC? Or calling out those who are STILL insistent on retaining the same leaders who have failed us?? Think of that last sentence deeply and tell me exactly what I was being attacked for?? When you see it, you realize that these people who I have consistently hounded for currently undercutting the efforts of nigerians to get things right this coming elections are simply using diabolic tools to fight back.. don't fall victim to them.. |
seankafor:I'm sure we wouldn't!! I'm actually curious Darlington, at what point exactly did you finally decide to support and c Vote for Obi?? I remember how you were one of the vehement naysayers who kept mocking and mocking the movement when it began and even declaring for tinubu at a point just to spite me and I say this in a good way because you were surely not the only one.So at what point did the Obi virus finally enter you and what was responsible? I'm truly curious |
This news is actually fvcking huge!!! Sdp is one of those parties that are actually grounded in the south west and north central regions. I think they came 4 or 5th in the last generals. This is a huge coup for Obi.. I really see obi doing wonders next tomorrow. I'm fuccking excited. https://www.nairaland.com/7581843/2023-election-sdp-adopts-peter |
