OasisX: ![]() You can only decieve those who want to be decieved. And yes, ABSOLUTELY. Tinubu had the power and the influence to direct policy changes under the buhari government but he chose to be silent in the face of extreme national failure because he didn't want to gore some oxes and he harboured selfish plans so he decided to defend the indefensible as much as he could or stay silent and watch as the nation crumbled. This attempt to paint an image that Tinubu was absolutely powerless and could do nothing while his party which he co-founded failed is dead on arrival. Your attempt has failed. |
OasisX:Oasis enough of these rhetorical "best heads", Can you be more specific as to the "best heads" we will see in this "new" APC government? Because we've already seen the best of his boys in this government and we've seen how terrible they were. From minister of darkness fashola, to gbaja heading one of the most useless house of reps, to aregbe, to abike, to Onu, to ngige. We've seen the "Tinubu boys" and they have all been useless in these past 8 years. Can you tell us who these "best heads" will be in Tinubu's government? |
raumdeuter:We know this is a false opinion on the fact that many influencers on social media are in fact based abroad. Tinubu is a 70yr old man similar age to many other countries presidents including the advanced onesFirst of all dayo, Tinubu is not the most active of all candidates. That is just a plain lie. Obi has been famed for being a workaholic, visiting different far places in one day. Sometimes as much as 3 different states in a single day. While Tinubu's minutes has been carefully managed. He barely speaks above 30 minutes, including reading his scripted speeches. Then secondly on issue of age, you keep making false equivalence. As of today, Biden's biggest challenge is his age. Any American citizen you ask about Biden even including his own supporters will tell you they wish for a younger president. So why are you wishing nigeria what you yourself do not wish upon yourself?? In your own words, you said you prefer Biden to step down for a younger desantis, so why are wishing an old and sick Tinubu to rule us? The drug case in the US he was not convicted. Fingered is not convictionNow you are being very disingenuous. Dayo you have previously acceded that Tinubu has too many baggages, what were those baggages you were talking about? When we talk about Tinubu being involved in crime, that one is already common knowledge, are you trying to deny that? Are you saying Tinubu was not in any way involved in narcotic dealings? |
As it stands today, there are only 2 ways one can be termed "successful" in Nigeria. I used quotation marks for that successful because what we term success in this country is very different from other places. Owning a car alone in Nigeria is almost a hallmark of being "successful", meanwhile 17 year olds in America are already driving their own cars to school. Anyways, being successful in Nigeria is only if you are earning in foreign currency or you are involved in politics. Any other thing you're doing, you're just suffering and smiling. Be it medium or micro business owner, be it being an academic, The nigerian climate space is toxic for businesses. Also the best minds are fleeing the country in droves, we're witnessing the worst brain drain from a country ever. Then those who flee the country, rather than lend voices on how the country can have radical positive changes will now choose to still concern themselves with trivalities and appeal for the corrupt ruling class. Such a pity. |
FBS:But who in his right senses will attempt to detach Tinubu from the APC? Tinubu is APC just as APC is Tinubu. Do we need to constantly remind people that the man owns half the party? That he was the major financer of the party till date via Lagos funds? That half of the government officials in this government are people he handpicked? How would one attempt to twist the narrative that Tinubu can be detached from this government? |
DeadPresidents:Exactly why he should be sounded out. Non-regular readers should know that his opinion is formed from the comfort a reality far detached from nigerians right here that continue to experience the misrule of the APC. |
SlyFoxxWontDie:I completely agree with this video. American bureaucracy and the ultimate will for power from both sides is slowing things down. And I also think that democrats tend to over regulate in governance leading to severe bottlenecks. I think it's just a pity that Americans are severely limited to two choices. |
SlyFoxxWontDie:Mukina please your attention is needed here again. This moniker keeps violating rule 2 and 5. Please ban him again and this time, monitor his reemergence. |
FBS:As you are saying this, do well to remind people that you are based outside the country. It is posts like these that really do infuriate me, the fact that the people that campaign for Tinubu on this thread are all based abroad, will definitely not be voting and will be exempt from the consequences of this Terrible decision. It is just truly annoying because it gives off this vibe of condescension or rather insensitivity to us here. You aren't here to feel the effects of bad governance but you are comfortably hoping that Nigeria continues on this path of becoming a failed state. Just like you, millions of skilled nigerian workers are fleeing in droves, escaping the harsh realities of nigeria but when you guys now flee to a comfort zone, you turn around and encourage the terrible set of people that are responsible for our country's doom. Please make this make sense!! Dont see this as an attack, see it as a harkening to your conscience. ![]() |
Obi is for rivers. Top to bottom. No doubt about it. |
A blissful reminder of what we are revolting against.. Voting the APC is signalling a continuation of this evil status quo. 80 Percent of Tinubu's starting lineup is ALREADY in this government. We need a top down ransacking. Do not be deceived by people who have decieved themselves into believing that Tinubu's APC will be different from Buhari's APC. They are one and the same. Amb1045: |
Last last all these permutations na just noise and guess work. I still hold polling as the only true metric to know the frontrunner.. 2015 and 2019, several polls showed Buhari leading. Even on niaraland here, buhari was the clear favorite. E reach Tinubu turn, we dey hear "voters are not online". ![]() Professional polls have Obi as the clear frontrunner. Street polls have Obi as front runner. Online polls, that wan na beast on him own. Every literate is going to Obi by 90 Percent. All these other guesswork is tiring. Based on our "feelings". |
I'm willing to stake my money that Obi wins more votes than Tinubu nationally. There is no magic that happens that will see Tinubu win more votes than Obi. Tinubu's candidacy is generally despised. There is no way such an unpopular party gets to win re-election. The nigerian electorate are not stupid. The only advantage PDP had in 2015 was power of incumbency and yet they lost because public sentiment was against them. The exact same thing will play out in a couple days time. Tinubuis only taken serious sef because his party is the ruling party, were he an opposition candidate, he will know he has already lost just like Atiku right now |
But why are the drug lord supporters shying away from polling data which is actually the only metric and data one can actually use for permutations rather than biased guess work or anecdotal evidences. Polling data is the only thing one can use to guage support or mood in an area so why are the drug lord supporters shying away from it? ![]() |
Theflint1:I keep shouting it here that this election would be entirely different from what we've ever seen |
Segedinho:Apart from that, even within ourselves here on this thread, is there any if us here whose family members are predominantly voting for Tinubu? Mine for instance, Tinubu has absolutely zero votes in my extended family, on both sides oo. A few of us voted APC oo last time. I'm sure that for many of us here, the pro-obi votes in our family heavily outweigh the pro-tinubu votes. In my workplace, Obi voters surpass Tinubu voters and many are first time voters. Every single evidence before our eyes is pointing in one direction but again, leave it to batists to dey imagine northern block votes for their head when their Homebase never even sure. |
Every single data about this election, like every single polling done on anywhere on this earth shows Obi leading the rest. Whether online poll, whether street poll, whether professional polls, all point in one direction, but leave it to batist to keep hoping on Imaginery block votes from the north. even though evidence points to bat being largely unpopular in the North. ![]() We have seen northern forums where they are flocking to atiku and kwankwaso but the Batists here keep relying on northern politicians rigging votes for them against the will of their own people. ![]() E go too shock una. ![]() |
larride:So you don't believe in polling? You don't believe in data? |
Oasis, just look at the shamelessness which you are bragging about. 3k per person to rent crowd. Shameless folks, win power, then steal the people's Commonwealth, then pay them peanuts to come out and shout for you. . meanwhile you don't even give them the decency to address them and actually campaign! May APC never happen to Nigeria again. post=120122099:https://www.nairaland.com/7529103/tinubu-paying-3k-mobilise-crowd#120122099 |
Nostradamus1:Let's put this theory to test. Last election, the "structure" on ground resulted in just 10 percent of the population voting. This means a whopping 90 percent of the population were not part of that "structure". Now let's assume that the massive sensitization about this election through the power of the internet and social media has activated a whole new 15 percent. That's millions of new first time voters who are not part of any party or local structure but have made up their minds to go out there and thumbprint a ballot sheet for a candidate, does that aforementioned structure still hold firm in spite of the newly activated voters that overwhelm the previous structure? |
A001:Every single Tinubu supporter is hoping on the north, more specifically, the northern politicians, but the masses themselves of the north despise the man. Well, let February come, I will like to see Oasis' tears when Kano result is out and bat is having a paltry 200k vote count while kwankwaso has 500k and atiku has 300k. |
In most of the street polls I have watched, many bat supporters just share the general sentiment, "he is our son", "I can't leave my person and vote for another", while the vast majority of Obi supporters say "we need a young person, we need a healthy person, not old men. And I believe that those who are playing "our son" Politics are vastly outweighed. High turnout means Obi wins this election handily. If there are 3 million votes from Lagos, Tinubu loses lagos, no doubt about that. |
Let's never forget the most important fact in all these. Buhari won with just SIX percent of the population. I repeat, BUHARI WON WITH JUST SIX PERCENT OF OUR POPULATION. meaning that in the grand scheme of things, "these structure" they had is ultimately because we just don't vote. But I believe this time will be different. I believe that the turnout of the south will smash all records ever had in Nigeria. I expect to see a million votes from Anambra, 2 million from rivers, 2.5 million from Lagos. The electorate in the south is super charged. And there are millions of former APC supporters like myself that the party has lost. APC has bled more supporters than they've earned. Well February is around the corner. |
OasisX:This crowd don't have the impact you think it has, because everybody knows that money is the motivating factor here. You yourself knows that nobody looks at the drug baron who has no known history and thinks, yep, I love that man. Tinubu is a "cover your nose and vote for me" candidate to his supporters. He simply represents their primordial sentiments. He doesn't inspire hope in anybody. |
I've always said that the delusion of the bat supporters is just unparalleled. ![]() At the end of the day, it's human beings that will vote. A governor can only influence at most 20 percent of the votes and only one APC governor is on the ticket. If you think the average northerner is enthusiastic about voting bat, you need to have a strong shock absorber. The average northerner despises bat. And by average I mean the common man. No single northerner is enthusiastic about voting the drug baron. 3 factors will define the northern electorate. 1. Creeping voter apathy due to the massive failure of Buhari. 2. Kwankaso's emergence. 3. Split choices amongst the 3. Bat will find it difficult to crack 40% in several northern states. If thw masses don't love you they just don't love you. |
Theflint1:Nothing wrong with the prepared presentation speech. He made solid points and with such a projection of confidence and assurance. Then answered the questions very well, presenting his normal dose of facts and statistics to back his points. We made a big deal out of the drug Baron's teleprompter reading because we barely ever see the man engage the masses directly and the few moments he tries to speak off-script, be ready for speech renovators to tell us what he actually meant. So Obi has no such hurdle to scale. He's the most vocal of the top presidential candidates. His engagements and public appearances are everywhere. be it TV interviews, radio interviews, student town hall, union townhall, you name it, Obi has attended all and engaged them directly without the need for scripted speeches. |
The funniest thing this period is I no dey hear "jungle dey mature" again. Oasis, wetin do una jungle na? Despite Obi being vastly outspent, this man's campaign and support has been growing by tremendous proportions day by day, wetin do una jungle? ![]() |
We're a month away from the elections and we are yet to see a presidential debate between the candidates because one person doesn't feel accountable to the people he intends to lead. #votewisely |
Such a wonderful hit for the Obi campaign. Truly a good product sells itself. ![]() As for others, if it didn't dey, it didn't dey.
|
Street poll conducted in the state capital ado-ekiti. As usual, Obi carries the day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoQNKU_wmlQ |
40 days out to the election. This is where we stand. This is our path to Aso rock. ABIA IMO ANAMBRA EBONYI ENUGU CROSS RIVER RIVERS BAYELSA AKWA IBOM EDO DELTA BENUE PLATEAU ABUJA TARABA NASARAWA. LAGOS Necessary percentages in 7 other states including oyo, Ogun, kogi, kaduna, Katsina, ondo and Niger. A divided northern vote sees to a concession speech by batiku by 8pm latest on 25th February. We are almost there, People! Hold the line!

larride:I asked because mental illnesses are the most difficult diseases to diagnose. We're he to completely even map the brain so knowing how to differentiate between mental illnesses is still very very difficult. |
