Again polls may not be 100 percent accurate of course, but they serve as useful tools in guaging and measuring the mood of the masses, knowing which direction the citizens are facing.
|
For the BATstards here that like crying that online polls mean nothing. Click on this nairaland post of 2015 just before the elections and see how buhari dusted Jonathan in this online poll. On the thread, you can guage the mood of the country then. That's for those always quick to say polls don't matter. https://www.nairaland.com/2119319/nairaland-poll-february-presidential-election#30233980 |
Ihebu4chelsea:The guy genuinely sounds like a nice guy whose intentions are just misguided.. How on earth do you successfully escape the country due to bad governance and it's effects yet dedicate your time to retaining the terrible status quo you just escaped ![]() It makes no sense at all!! Like at all!! You ran away from your country because things are bad but rather than wish for things to change and get better, you dedicate your time to ensuring that the bad situation you escaped is maintained. I just don't get it. These abroadians are something else. |
The common man of the people.. The man who seeks to demystify the allure of power and introduce accountability into our governance space. The man inspiring millions of Nigerias into having hope of Nigeria's future. We have only one home, only one motherland. It's our responsibility to see it get right. Don't let yourself be deceived by anyone not sharing your reality.. Make the best decision come 2023.
|
OasisX:The fact that you are proudly showing us the pictures of buhari here tells us all we need to know about where your sensibilities lie. This is what I keep hammering about when we talk about abroadians. Oasis you are not in this country but you feel emboldened enough to throw buhari's pictures in our faces and boast about it. The country is burning to the ground. People are afraid to travel around these festive fixtures and the mannequin in office can only watch and do nothing as usual. But leave it to abroadians far detached from our realities to brag about how his party will retain power or is "cooking" to retain power. Look inwards and search your conscience. If it's alive it will be knocking you for all these. |
Another professional poll conducted, this time by the Sun media has Obi in the lead. Nigerians are cooking something delicious.
|
Itsrm:Can you share a screenshot of what You're talking about? I can't see it on my own page. |
Meanwhile, latest professional poll has Obi in the lead. Mind you this poll accurately called buhari as the winner in 2019. My fellow Nigerians, a miracle is happening before our eyes. A new political force totally led by the people is emerging to wrest power from the wicked ruling class that has plunged us into the abyss. Hope is here again. Dont miss out!! https://www.nairaland.com/7491177/anap-noi-polls-peter-obi#119331163 I keep saying it, that middle belt will be the decider of this elections and Obi is doing fantastically there.

DissTroy:As I said earlier, I'm quite happy the bar for obi is high. It means they recognize he's actually obviously better than the rest. They want to pretend like they don't know why people reacted badly to tinubu delegating questions. We're talking of a candidate with innumerable gaffes. A gaffe machine. A candidate that is being hid from the public like palliative. A candidate that can barely give public speeches offhead. Then when he takes a trip abroad in the guise of finally addressing Nigerians, he also falls hand and delegates ALL questions to his lackeys. And someone would pretend they don't know the reason for the public outcry to that. I just pity the Nigerians here who would let themselves be decieved. It's their own realities. |
EmmanuelScott1:Ask them to provide just ordinary video of tinubu speaking without teleprompter. You yourself can show them your candidate being grilled by journalists and the common masses, ask them to show you their own candidate doing the same. Subjecting himself to tough questions and answering them like your candidate has done severally. |
Amoto94:Awon al-queda show us your candidate addressing Nigerians from his own medulla oblongata. Show us your candidate being accessible to the common masses and not just paid elites. Show us your candidate answering questions from his head like Obi did here. The fact that a terrorist supporter will have the gall to criticize Obi is just damn funny. Provide video of your yellow teeth-stained drug baron doing this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ma8NPVJ9aGo |
I urge you all to listen to this paragon of wisdom speak and tell me you're not moved to tears. Tell me you don't see the radiant hope this man emits.. We're lucky to have this unique opportunity to choose an intelligent viable outsider with a legit chance of usurping the establishment. Let's not miss it! If you're curious how this man keeps attracting millions of followers to his side, this right here is the reason. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ma8NPVJ9aGo |
Again a full version of the presidential town hall session for students. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBUpf43X1Yw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ma8NPVJ9aGo |
Ohh Nigeria my country, where it's citizens try to mock the only presidential candidate that brings himself forward for prodding and interaction by the average masses. That brings himself down to level of everyone and ushers in a level of accessibility. Something which the current leaders starve it's subject of. I as a Peter obi supporter is sooo happy to see how high a standard they set for my candidate while overlooking the terrible standards of the other. Such a fun country. ![]() |
Imagine batists using 6 seconds clip for cheap propaganda. ![]() Peter Obi held a student town hall (the only candidate to do so). A town hall session that lasted for close to 2 hours. Peter Obi answered SEVERAL questions directed at him. But sure let's laugh at the 6 seconds where he clearly decided to catch cruise. Meanwhile the low quality question asked was; explain how school na scam? Please do well to watch this extended version of the student town hall. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBUpf43X1Yw |
Ibime I thought Asari Dokubo was from Niger Delta? How come they know Igbo soo well? Do Niger Delta people speak Igbo too? Do you know how to speak igbo? Because this video really shocked me aswear.

The love is massive.. A new dawn is here.. A new Nigeria beckons upon us all. Embrace it, cherish it like millions of your fellow compatriots are doing. Don't give up. Don't lose hope for as long as there is life, there is hope. #ObiDatti
|
Theflint1:Yes, let's say even 1\8 of that wants to breakup. Do you think Nigeria should be broken into 50 different countries? |
Theflint1:I said that we must shed our primitive thinking and adapt not go backwards. You phrase it like I'm saying we would absolutely fail if we don't. I'm saying our adaption and evolution will only continue, that's a fact. Not us going backwards to start highlighting individual tribes. India has 2000 ethnic groups but most of them adopt English and or Hindu. That's how they move forward. |
A001:By this your post you are highlighting the tiny nations of the world and I'm asking you; do you think Nigeria can or should be broken up into 500 Vatican nation states since ""The smallest tribe in Nigeria has more population than Vatican City, the smallest country in the world by population"". Listen whether we break up or not, we can move forward it we want to. I keep using India because they share sooo much similarity with us. India has 2000 different ethnic groups. Almost as large as the entire African continent and they're still moving forward as the largest democracy on earth whose economy is also growing to be the biggest in Asia. Nigeria can do much better in spite of our multiculturalism. Not blaming colonial master's here and there.
|
A001:Soo, if say, all the 720 different tribes want to break up, the country should be split into 720 different parts?? |
Theflint1:Okay now we're talking, but the question still remains unanswered, what are the 4 regions Nigeria should be broken into?? Nigeria has about 20 different tribes with at least 5 million people. Take Benue state for instance, the 2 major tribes there are tiv and idoma and these 2 tribes hate themselves, do you think they would like to be together in a new country together? What of Benin people in Edo, they were practically a kingdom before, what if they seek to be a new country? What about the tribes of the riverine South south; the kalabari, the ogoni, the isoko, the itsekiri, the Anan, the Ibibio, the urhobo etc etc. All these tribes with at least 5 million people, should they be new countries if they seek to? So I ask again, how practical will the break up of Nigeria be and into how many components, seeing as Nigeria has over 700 indigenous tribes? Cc A001 |
A001, you still did not answer my question with this reply. You said Nigeria should be broken up, and I'm asking you, into how many pieces. Be more specific not theoretical.. if you think Nigeria is not working, how many pieces EXACTLY should Nigeria be broken into for it to work? A001: |
seankafor:Bro, if you don't like my post or my point, why don't you just skip and ignore?? This is a public forum for discussion, if a particular discussion is not to your taste or liking, why not just simply ignore? Anytime I make any post whatsoever, I'm sure to count on Darlington quoting me to type rubbish. If it's not fool, it's gay, if it's not gay it's something else. Like bro, ejoor. If I reply now in similar fashion, People will start saying I'm toxic meanwhile I'm on my own having a conversation with someone else and you're butting in with nothing but abuse. Take your medicine oo. |
Theflint1:How can this be done exactly?? The fact is this, Nigerian tribes are dieing a slow death and it's absolutely natural. People who used to speak predominantly one language before are now Multilingual or adopting our general language which is English and there's nothing wrong with it. For our society to advance, we have to have common footing or common grounds. For that to happen, our different identities have to be shed. You can see now that our greatest cultural exports now are our entertainment. And it is not represented by any single tribe but by Nigerians of all denomination. I was surprised when my relative who was born in America was telling me how he massively enjoys sabinus comedy and our afrobeat. These are now the modern units of "Nigerian culture" not tribal anything. |
A001:Okay then, soo how many parts do you think Nigeria should be broken into and what language do you think should be the lingua franca of the newly formed country? If Nigerian is broken up, how many countries do you think it should be broken into? |
A001:Enough of theories. Let's get practical. Tell me, which language do you want Nigeria to adopt as her lingua franca? As in what language do you think the president of the country addresses us in or the legislature debate in?? No need for long talk, just tell us which language Nigeria needs to adopt as it's lingua franca. Its common language. |
Ibime:Ok bro, my bad. But I guess the intent and purpose of the post stands. You don't give 2 fucks_ about ijaw culture because it has absolutely no impact on your life which you have made a good meal of. Your children most likely don't speak ijaw language because they will never have use for it. You most likely don't go fishing as your culture celebrates. All these things are meaningless to you because it's unnecessary to your success in life. Isn't that correct? |
Always the same pattern of argument. Purposely twisting words to invent narratives. Person 1: I don't like A. Person 2: shame on you for praising B. You are advocating for us to in essence "go backwards". English language is the United language for Nigerians. The pidgen version is something you hear all around the nooks and crannies of the country. Is it the British that gave us the pidgen version? Is it not a good thing that we have a unifying language that helps to establish a base of at least understanding ourselves? But no, you are on a primitive match for us as a society to take a step backwards and retrace our tribal roots and I'm telling you that all that does is highlight the differences between us. Whether Colonial or not, the English language has served and continues to serve a useful purpose for us. Look at this thread for instance, Oasis continually uses the tribal phrase, mi o no si nkanka or something like that. Many of us don't understand the meaning, for all we know it could be a very insulting phrase to his opposing group based on the context he uses them. It could also be an endearing phrase but the phrase remains open to interpretation by those who don't understand it. That's the danger of not understanding ourselves with a common language. |
A001:Let me ask you a question using a real life scenario amongst us. Ibime, I love you man, please permit my example here. Ibime is an ijaw man by birth, but who emigrated, studied fantastically abroad, did well for himself, married a white lady, has mixed race kids and is enjoying a very fulfilled life. I'm sure this Ibime doesn't give jack shite about the ijaw tribe. Doesn't bother to promote it in anyway seeing as it is totally inconsequential to his life. Now tell me, do you think that ibime who is now successful by virtue of his own intellect and hardwork is a "slave" to the Whiteman? I mean his children would also most likely get to follow in their father's footstep and do well for themselves and not give a damn about ijaw tribe, in your mind do you think that their adaption and acculturation to life is equated to slavery because they don't care about the ijaw tribe? |
A001:Only God knows how your sense of ideation works. How you interpret things needs to be studied. Donjazet: we need to move on from primitive modes of reasoning and that includes tribalism and religion. A001: you are calling igbos primitive. I'm saying that ALL cultures are now primitive and outdated, as it should. No Nigerian language has the indigenous word for selfie, screen, monitor, screenshot, technology. These are relatively new English terms. And a fact is that in our globalised World, we are bound to keep adapting or dying off. Aspects of our culture has already died off and I know for sure that more will. My great-grand parents most likely killed twin babies in the forest because it was scorned at in our culture, that no longer happens. Just like the only piece of cloth they knew were animal hides to cover the nethers and that was all, not the fanciful imported fabrics we have today and have adopted.. Summary of my point is that history shows it's very futile to cling to primordial sentiment. Advocating for taking steps back or worse still pitting tribe against tribe on the internet. |
