A001:Soo you too are happy about that video of rema? is this not hypocrisy.I hope you recognise that that video right there is a perfect depiction of "Nigerian culture" right there and it has nothing to do with any particular tribe. We have acculturated to the English language and given it a twist unique to us all in our country. When anybody in any part of the world hears pidgin English, they think "Nigeria". Not Igbo, not Hausa, not Yoruba, but "Nigeria". That right there is the evolution of culture I'm advocating we embrace, not going back to singular tribal identities. We should be moving forward not backwards. |
A001:And I'm telling you my culture is jackshit and irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. Geestay, do you know that every year that passes, many cultures in Nigeria die off? Many languages die off and people adapt to the bigger one closest to them? And there is nothing wrong with this. If in the next 50 years, all Nigerians now speak only English and our country becomes a top5 global economy and our grandchildren get to live in a viable and prosperous country, will you still complain?? Yes, English and Spanish are the 2 main colonially inherited languages of a lot of country, but do you hear them complain? Brazil and India are 2 of the richest and biggest economies in the world today, do you hear them still complain about British and Spanish colonization?? Do you see Brazilians scrambling to learn Amazonian languages?? We need to move on from primitive mode of thinking and that includes tribalism and religion. |
Theflint1:This is what we're talking about!!! A system of actions and consequences. One where failure is punished and something is done when one fvcks up, not one where it is rewarded and tolerated. I've never doubted that an Obi presidency is the best thing that would happen to this country.. The Foreign media is observing and taking notes of the political revolution taking place in this country. Foreign investors are keenly watching to see if Nigeria takes a different path from the one it currently is on. We the Nigerian youths can't wait, we dey polling station dey wait with our PVCs.
|
A001:I must say, you really are well read to the tenets of Islam. You very well understand the danger that organized religion poses to the fabric of society, but then one is forced to ask, how can't you see that clinging on to tribal and cultural affiliations also hampers our ability to unite and harmonize as one? |
BlueRayDick:Religion is seriously a bad thing. It is completely inimical to a healthy society. |
Ibime:What makes getting a tattoo bad? |
While we have all your attention now, please remember to do your part in saving our country oo. Make sure you vote next year.

The greatest game of football ever. Best final I've ever watched. Nothing beats this. |
TalabiAudu:It really is |
lordfalcao:Nothing like "ifs" in football. It is what it is. |

Football just too sweet mehn. ![]() One minute you believe you're home dry the next, you're fighting for your life. |
Omoo, no be who first call police dey win matter. Mpappe is putting his name on the map. |
Another stupid propaganda piece from a foolish propagandist. Nobody but your fellow paid trolls here take you seriously. Nigerians are very much aware how you guys are paid to amplify these propaganda puffpieces. |
DissTroy:It has to be noted sha that Argentina has been threading their luck throughout the tournament. Having the most penalties in history in a world cup competition can't be overlooked. |
Messi is on his way to legendary greatness. Cementing his status as the greatest of all time. |
OasisX:Its true na. Pa Adebanjo, President Obasanjo and general Babangida have made this exact statement. They've said it themselves that they are close to death and doing the right thing for Nigeria is their parting gift to the country for the future of her youths. So I'm not just postulating. |
DissTroy:That's why I'm actually elated about this news. Baba, there is no "long run" for these men again. These men are all in their nineties and would most likely be dead by the end of this decade and they know this.. Man thinks differently when mortality stares you in the face. These men for the most part have resigned themselves to their fates these last few years and perhaps want to give a parting gift and legacy to the country. Because on a norms, it makes no personal sense for them to back an outsider for the presidency on bank on the underdog when it would have been easier to endorse the big 2. I really think it's an issue of legacy binding. |
Will Messi finally settle this debate?? Let's watch and see. |
Also developing; Northern Christians in southern Kaduna and Kano publicly endorses Obi as their chosen candidate for the presidency. Pledge their block votes for him. https://www.channelstv.com/2022/12/17/southern-kaduna-stakeholders-endorse-peter-obi-pledge-block-votes/ Omo, Oasis this jungle wey mature dey sweet my belle oo. No be small mature e mature oo. ![]() |
Meanwhile, The latest professional poll conducted shows Obi leading in the field. Obi is predicted to win the South eastern and south southern regions massively and expected to win the key swing states of the middle belt giving the ex governor and edge over other candidates in more regions. https://www.nairaland.com/7485783/2023-presidential-election-obi-topples |
Meanwhile, jungle don mature finish oo. ![]() The owners of Nigeria have repented and want new blood there, not old cargoes anymore. They are finally doing the right thing. https://www.nairaland.com/7485963/2023-ex-generals-actually-backing-obi Former Presidential Olusegun Obasanjo and other influential Nigerians are said to be backing a paradigm shift from the old order in a bid to enthrone new breed of politicians to run the affairs of the country. There are strong speculations that some influential ex-military generals and former heads of government have thrown their weights behind the candidacy of Obi. These speculations followed Obasanjo’s disposition and romance with the former Anambra State governor. But it will not be out of place to conclude that the show of interest the ex-generals in who becomes the president has also always been the tradition since 1999. Nigeria’s democracy since the inception of the Fourth Republic has always been influenced mostly by the powerful retired generals. The likes of Obasanjo, retired Lt. Generals T. Y Danjuma, and Aliyu Gusau, as well as retired Generals Ibrahim Babangida, and Abdulsalami Abubakar, among others, have either consciously or unconsciously seen themselves as custodians of Nigeria’s core national interests. |
Oasis my bro, I don't know why I love it soo much when I see thread's like this, please click this and read the comments here, no even the main post but the comments and tell me what you think. https://twitter.com/prinzeabaz/status/1604029145159069696?t=KdFSW2szcBdMmbabCgdh8A&s=19 |
Nigerians should not forget that Pro APC agents here are paid, they are not like you and I that just casually uses nairaland. These people are paid to shape opinions don't be decieved by them. |
Tataffo:I didn't want o delve further info the argument once dayo got involved because I already know the movies behind his arguments in these kind of issues. Nothing he loves more than tribal affairs. Imagine where one man is controlling an entire region. Like, theese is something his supporters like to brag about, how "his boys" control the region. From sanwo olu of Lagos, to Fayemi of ekiti, to aregbe, to oyetola, to dapo abiodun, one man controlling entire region through surrogates. Same thing in the North. Meanwhile, Easterners even rejected ojukwu beyond Anambra. No one man has influence beyond his state. There is nothing like political godfatherism in Anambra, ebonyi and imo state. That of abia ends this next election. I mean the difference is Soo clear but they would rather gaslight and draw out a meaningless argument. Na una get strength sha. You guys should keep being blind to dayo's tribal shenanigans. |
OasisX:I love the fact that you're deluding yourself into thinking northerners would vote for the yellow teeth stained drug baron over kwankwaso and Atiku. ![]() Una eyes go clear very soon, don't worry. |
StarchAndBanga:I'm sure of more numbers, and likely more states, but I can't tell for sure, because Obi might or might not win bayelsa for instance, but river's vote renders the bayelsa vote obsolete. Because rivers' would have 10 times bayelsa's numbers. But I'm certain Obi gets 25% of all southern states and win the raw vote numbers. |
OasisX:Are you willing to put your money where your mouth is? My money is on the table that Obi wins the south. Like all the raw numbers of the south, Obi wins it, are you game? I'm also staking that Obi already has more than 8 million votes. Are you game? |
