That's what you don't get, there is actually "no beef" I hold towards him. Yes I disagree VERY VERY strongly with his bigotry and his Nigerian political opinions because I can always see the 2 factors responsible for his opinions; tribal bigotry AND him being out of touch with the reality of Nigerians in this country but you can still see me engage him on other issues that bother on other non-nigerian political matters.

I still know that despite the banal bigotry, he still has a certain level of exposure and experience that one can learn from. You see me engage him on liberalism vs conservatism. Or geopolitical issues, west vs China and Russia and random stuff like that.

Well, for me, I truly love and appreciate the concept of democracy (regardless of perfection or lack thereof).
It is my firm belief that democracy will ALWAYS be better than military dictatorship!. At least in a democracy, no matter how imperfect it is, there has to be some forms of appeasement to the electorate so certain draconian measures against individual freedom and liberties are much more difficult to implement unlike a military dictatorship where the military simply wouldn't care and instead violently crack down on any single form of dissent.

It is for this reason I am actually leaning towards the temporal Tinubu-led FGs decision to lead a hopefully successful countercoup and restore democracy because yes, I am frightened by the sheer number of our neighbours that have fallen to military autocracy in the past few years and I don't want our military men getting any ideas.

Worse still when you consider that a far worse imperial power in Russia is the one sponsoring these coups across Africa for resource colonization. If we thought the west was bad, Russia is far worse!. But that's just my humble opinion.
