After the war between Russia and NATO in Ukraine, Russia will have a huge excess of military equipment and an enormous industrial production rate (military and civilian). There are chances that countries like Nigeria might be about to decently equip their armed forces after this war. Russia will definitely become the biggest defence equipment provider in the world.

The bank created by the BRICS countries refused to invest in Russia because of sanctions

The New Development Bank (NDB), created by the BRICS countries to finance investment projects and issued $30 billion in loans over 7 years, will not invest in Russia. This was announced on Wednesday by the head of the bank, Dilma Rousseff, who served as president of Brazil in 2011-2016.

According to Rousseff, the bank, which was created also with Russian funds, fully complies with international sanctions and therefore does not consider new projects in Russia. Rousseff also called "groundless" speculations that the bank may continue to work with Moscow.

You're quite a deluded fellow.

Is there any proxy war where the "victim", Ukraine in this case, is not made to believe the other side is evil and that the proxy war is a fight for their survival.

Because if there is no propaganda to make them believe that, how else are you going to get them to fight for you?
Okay, let's put ourselves in Ukrainians shoe.

Let's say south Africa invades us, kills thousands of us, claiming that we are supposed to be under them, but China comes to our rescue because China hates South Africa. So China supplies us with weapons which we ask for and all of us in the country actually wish for revenge on south Africa.

Now tell me, will you hate China for supporting us from South Africa's invasion even when we ourselves definitely DO NOT want to be under South Africa's rule?

Stupid Ukrainians. Destroying their homes, cities, demographics, people and family structure so they can fight someone else's battle. Just like politicians who give cultists dangerous weapons to fight on their behalf while their own children enjoy five-star holidays abroad.

While the Americans today go to Disneyland to enjoy themselves, another set of Ukrainians (fighting on behalf of the Americans) will become either dead, injured, destitute, homeless or become a refugee elsewhere. Today, many Ukrainians children will become orphans, their wives become widows, and their men end up dead or disfigured. I wonder when the Ukrainians will finally have the balls to say enough is enough.
I'm sorry but this is quite a deluded way of looking at it.

For Americans, this is a proxy war to defeat a rival. (Note that the rival is actually evil in this case by deliberately initiating the mass murdering and destruction of lives and properties of innocent people).

But for Ukrainians, this is a fight for their lives. They don't want to be conquered! They want to be left alone to carve their own futures as a sovereign nation.

This is a war of life and death for them regardless of what Americans intent are but if Americas intent aligns with theirs, all the very best for them too. They just want to exist as a sovereign nation, to be able to choose its own alliances and make its own decisions. Ever wonder why former Soviet states and allies all run towards the US??

Because they know what they suffered and what they saw under Communist Soviet Russia.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by donjazzet:
Of course, evil analogies as usual.

Compare 2 bad situations to justify the bad situation.

Q; Hey, why are you calling your countrymen beasts and cannibals?

A; Well, don't you see that in America, some people call other people monkeys and cannibals too.. it happens there, so it's right.

Q; Hey, why are cultists killing fellow Nigerians?
A; Well, in UK and US, gangs kill each other all the time so it's nothing. It's normal.

Lesson. An evil situation is okay as long as that same evil happens in other places.

More so, Imagine trying to compare American politicians with Nigerian politicians? embarassed imagine the folly. An America that has strong institutions that checkmate the excesses of its politicians, something which we don't have here.

Make absolutely no mistake about this. The United States of America is the most powerful country in the entire world in any single metric of evaluation, be it military, financial, political or otherwise.

No nation would dare go toe to toe with the US and survive.

And it's said that the US has "run low" on a weapon. It doesn't literally mean that the weapon is indeed low, it means that "disposal amount" in stock of that weapon is now low. America has bases all over the world and with that comes a quota of arms which must be present on all that bases.

If this was a war that America took extremely seriously. By now that country will be conquered. But this war just like many, is basically a proxy war. One where another country is used to fight the enemies, not Americans themselves devoting everything it has to it.

For instance, America has given about 50 billion to Ukraine. That's basically chicken change to it. Less than 0.1 percent of its economy. This is because they are still trying to use economic warfare and sanctions to cripple Russia.
If America committed as much as 5% to the war, this would be a foregone conclusion.

Nope. There is a reason it's called "aid". It's free. All free! The most important priority for the west is for Putin and Russia to be conquered.

A win for the west completely silences Russia and acts as a warning to china. And Russia has already been disgraced.

Russia banned from the Olympics.

A shame what Putin has turned Russia into.

A once powerful country in the twentieth century, now a shunned country detached from international entrants. Such a pity.

No world cup for them, no euros, no Olympics. Out of the global financial system and begging to be let back in.
Begging a very poor country like north Korea for weapons.

Such a shame what this once great country and superpower of the 20th century became, all because of one man.
I do pity the common Russians. They're all puppets and victims of this mad man.

America remains the very best superpower our civilization has ever had.

This is the most peaceful time in humanity EVER and that is thanks to the institutions founded by the west.

People forget that multipolarism is even what caused endless wars here and there.
America as a superpower alone, at least from the 1980's has invaded less than 6 countries.

That's a modern miracle when you compare that to the imperial powers before america.

From how we can see china and Russia govern their citizens, you better thank your God that America is who won that cold war..
China and Russia will definitely not give a fvck about Africa. I know the ones who at least care about the society at large.

Few months ago, I said this and we can see it today.

Donjazet2:
Oasis, You've always tried to paint the government here well while never posting the negative developments Nigerians are encountering daily.

Choosing a candidate to support to lead you should not be based on just one factor. There are different metrics, indices and factors a candidate should meet up to before being viable for office.
As I've said severally before, an Obi win will be Earth shattering, the effects and implications of Obi winning the presidency next year would send waves across the country and continent. A whole lot of Nigerias will then understand the power they have when they unite against bad leadership and representation. Nigerians just picking a tiny party and making it the ruling party. Politicians become accountable as a result of this. Our democracy and governance improves instantly. It's impact is felt instantly.

Now for Tinubu, voting Tinubu simply signals business as usual. A kakistocracy and a plutocracy. It signals a continuation of the present ruling class, this government and its components which will inevitably lead to the same results.

Sometimes i really wonder how those nafo retards thinks seeing the west as their savior?

Without china do you know how far behind Africa will be? that is the plan of the west before china pickup in manufacturing and step in for Africa.

Let's use phone for example...
When western phone like blackberry, nokia, apple companies started making phone, owing a phone luxury until china came in and utterly crashed the price of phone making it dirt cheap and affordable to Africa.
Same thing goes with almost all aspect of the industry from fashion to construction to basically everything, china market was always Africa to make them have access to those things the west have at lower prices even if it means to compromise on quality.
And for decades china has always been open to invest in Africa without any political differences , something the west will never do.

Yet birdbrain gbelebo19 who's has a lower IQ than a cassava is still yarning dust. I pity you ooh
Your point actually makes no sense. Before china, there was Japan and now it's moving to India. Biggest corporations go to where there is cheap labor available and a fairly stable government. Japan tech also made earlier electronics cheaper than they are today.

the idea of having a world super power it self is wrong all countries should be treated equally and should be allowed to pursue their independent policies, settlement of dispute should be done by UN alone, but today US approved of gays in their country but Uganda don't want that so that's a problem to US ,Wich is very wrong
Now this is where you've lost touch with reality or just not being realistic.

All Countries can never and will never be equal. It has never happened in the history of mankind or civilizations. There will always be very weak countries and there will always be poor countries and these positions change hands over time.

And I see where our divergence maybe comes from. You are looking at this from a perspective of "countries" while I am looking at this from a perspective of "individualism". I am not looking at this war from it as a nigerian. Nationalities are a human and social construct. There is no difference between a nigerian and a Malian or Senegalese or chiliean. Many of these countries were formed by even bigger countries. So I really couldn't give a damn about point of views of countries. I look at individuals and our society at large. What I want the world to be like.

And the west represents the best of humanitarian ideals.

You mentioned LGBTQ. Why do you think these people shouldn't exist? I look at bobrisky and I see a totally harmless individual who just wants to live his life, I've come across gay people, in my younger years in school. I remember being resentful towards them but I ask myself now why exactly?? These weren't people who sought to endanger anyone but live their lives. In some societies, these people are ruthlessly beaten and murdered.

Do you really want to live in a society that is that hateful to people different than you are??

These retards generally have an existing prejudice against Europe and America (hatred) and the Russian propaganda machine just came to strengthen it. Who does that if not mad people?

Which one should we talk about?
Is it the protection of Jews from the holocaust that would have annihilated them?
Is it the saving of China's ass from Japan that would have made that foolish China to be non-existent?
Is it the ban on slave trade that did not come from Africa?
Is it the nipping of groups such as ISIS and Al-qaeda in the bud?
Is it the technological advancement without which some idiots on this topic would still be living in caves and be trekking to and fro to Saudi Arabia every year?

I don't even know again.... Cos if someone is not really mad from at least the previous 3 generations, i don't know what would made a sane individual to come here and be saying the nonsense they are always saying.
Very very powerful points you've made there.

Thanks for outlining it like this.

Indeed there is one outstanding fact here! US might not be the very best superpower out there but they sure as hell are better than Russia, china, North Korea and Iran.

The reflection of these societies is all you should look at and see who is better. Anyone is who would tell you china would be a much better option than USA is lying to themselves.

I'm being realistic. In any strife you see yourself in, you ask yourself which is the best place to align with. Which person has the most moral cause.

For example, look at world war 2, almost all the major participants of that war could give 2 fvcks about Africans or black people. Not Germany, not US, not Japan or Britain or Stalin. None of them cared about the plight of the black man in the world. So at that stage you as a black man asks yourself, which of these powers would at least be a marginally better place for black people.

Then you see that even if all of them could care less about black people, they're were some of them who actively wanted to kill the Blacks. Who spouted white Aryan supremacy and wanted every other race dead or saw them all as much lower species. In Hitler's world, they're was no role for the black man, they wouldn't even employ them anywhere. But we could see that the allies were actively ready to work with black people in different capacities and a black man could envision his role in society with this black people than with the Germans, at this juncture, you align with the much lesser evil.

In today's world, In the present day, Putin is the only leader still talking about "gaining back territory". Russia is still talking and positioning itself as "imperial power" who seeks to gain "land and space for "it's people"".

Many wars in our world today are fought on "ideological differences" or economic purposes but Russia still dreams of the old world. Of how things were seven, eight decades ago. Of reclaiming "lost glories".

How can any African look at that and think it's okay simply because they harbor grievances against the US? Come on.
In hating something, you push yourself into liking something far worse.
