No I wasn't being specific about mendy's case (although it's distinctly possible).
That point was stating that the occurrence of women accusing men falsely is far less when compared to the rate of women actually being raped around the world.

For example, take your own Nigerian society as a sample. How many women are believed when they come out and say they were raped?? What is the response to that?

Tell me the truth, if you and 3 of your closest guys are together and a girlfriend of one of them tells you that your friend raped her or beat her physically, how will you react? Say the truth?

If a girl around you tells you that another guy raped her, how exactly will you react to it, will you act on it? Will you take her seriously or will you start finding ways to blame her? Will you start asking? You sef? "Why do dress like ashawo"? "Why don't you stay at home?" "No be you been gree to follow am?"
Just be honest about this. So you can see that in our own society, women are still seen as inferior to men and are on the lower side of justice.
So tell me why one wouldn't be empathetic to women's plight when they are clearly the underdog?

Well, talking about the courts in this case. Sometimes a court's declaration of "not guilty" might not necessarily mean that the offense wasn't committed but that rather, there wasn't any sufficient evidence. I mean we in Nigeria that suffer from a corrupt and weak judicial system can certainly understand this statement I just made.
Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence but for the courts, it definitely is. No evidence means no case.
We've seen movies where mob bosses who were guilty as hell were released and declared not guilty after those mob bosses might have killed the key witness(es).

Now, this rings more true for rape cases which are historically more difficult to prove, most especially if the both parties have a prior or existing acquaintance, now factor in where the accused is far more wealthy and you tend to have an imbalance of justice.

Anyways, having stated these factors, if one is definitely innocent but has been accused wrongly (something less common than the actual recurrences of rape), then the false accuser should be punished and made to pay damages.

CPS carried out their investigation which means they got access to a whole lot of information and evidence than the public and they concluded it wasn't enough to go to trial. United also carried out their investigation and came to the same conclusion. You don't know anything to be jumping into conclusion.

The case was withdrawn simply because the accuser in question didn't wish to proceed further. The witnesses didn't come forward. And not BECAUSE it didn't happen.

Uniteds "private investigation" is utterly meaningless seeing as they didn't particularly reveal ANYTHING at all or their methodology for the investigation. This is at best a PR statement. Truth is highly circumspect here.

The courts decision is supposed to be final except in this case, the case didn't get through to a trial which would have determined his guilt or innocence, so it still remains in the court of public opinions and surely the evidence in public overwhelmingly points to mason Greenwood as a rapist and domestic abuser.

Now what most players call dribble is simple push and run. The major reason is because all those shege dribbles are coached out of most players these days at a young age. The coaches will rather ask them to pass back and build up from the back again rather than try to find creative individual solutions.
