The fact that she is not playing shows that your puppy is starving and will probably die if you don't spring into action.

I'm shocked that the person who sold you the puppy didn't give you any idea of how to feed her. Dogs are carnivores; they don't eat rice and beans or garri. They eat meat but they will also eat rice or indomie if it's mixed with shawa/titus fish, chicken, or meat. I'm shocked that it took 3 days for you to realize that she needs "meat". Can you post a picture of the "meat" you fed her so we can tell you why she's not eating it? I hope you didn't include any beef bones with the "meat". Please post the picture of the puppy as well, so we can predict the time she will die.

I urge you to switch to canned puppy food as early as tomorrow if possible. Your instincts about what to feed a dog are completely wrong.

Here's what you should feed her tonight: mix a small amount of cooked rice (not indomie unless it's crushed) with a tin or two of canned sardine.

She needs canned food. It contains all the protein and vitamins she needs, and is palatable. You can start economizing when she's fully grown.

But with all the aforementioned traits, there's nothing really wrong in showing some sympathy to the original poster's predicament. I realize we Africans are damn too sentimental about just everything. But I guess that's what makes us more human than our Caucasian and mongoloid brothers.
All that said, @OP to stimulate enhanced appetite in your puppy u may need to expose it to environments where other puppies or dogs with healthy appetite are feasting. The trauma of being withdrawn from its mother and introduced to an entirely new place can lead to lacklustre appetite. Also some other respondents have rightly pointed out the need to include canine friendly food substances like lots of meat and a conservative carb portion as part of its meal. Canines are intrinsically wolves and I believe u don't see wolves lusting after grains like rice or legumes like beans. These delicacies definitely don't cut it for canines.

Pardon my observations. I'm just one passionate dog lover not happy with the way things are done in this country. The bastardization of dog breeds all in the name of making quick money pisses me.

Bro.. Ur pooch isn't a CO plain and simple. You should address it for what it really is.. Another experimental mix by naija junk breeders. Breed specifications are online for u to look up. Your pooch may be big but that doesn't make it a true CO. The head, muzzle, quarters, fur etc. define what goes into this magnificent breed. And at best urs is a 3rd filial generation of cross breeding activities. Still I must commend ur care and maintenance of the dog. Kudos and thumbs up.
Feeding will definitely not transform a gsd-CO mix to a full bred CO. And u know that fact!

In my journey through life and my personal daily interaction with everyday people, I have keenly observed that men seeking ladies to settle down with are quite intolerant of women whose body counts (as it pertains to sexual liaisons) are relatively high. It is also true that very often ladies prefer to remain discrete on such matters only ever opening up to the fiancé when pricked by their conscience and when they suspect that sordid details of their past may haunt them someday in matrimony.
But one very interesting perspective on this topic is the heightened resentment men seeking ladies for marriage display towards such spinsters who have had emotional or sexual affairs with married men in the past. Statistically, younger men were more turned off and nursed second thoughts on progressing the marriage-bound relationships when presented with such revelations than their older counterparts.
This has led me to believe that morally inappropriate behaviors perpetrated by ladies in their past are better dealt with by older men who probably possess the requisite maturity needed to deal with the emotional issues than younger men.
What's your take?
In my subsequent post, I'll give you a real-life portrayal of how a younger man dealt with this situation versus an older fellow.

Yes I did run in different labs. Apparently the tests are not run locally in Nigeria. Samples are sent abroad for testing.

@OP ur closing out statement is a bit scary for we married men. In my case before I married my wife she confessed she had been banging a senior colleague at her work place but had long quit the lifestyle before we started dating. It wasn't pleasant but I still forged ahead with marrying her because I felt she was penitent. Fast-forward 10 months after marriage, we had a baby boy who shockingly didn't look anything like me or my spouse. Curiously I started researching on her former colleague whom she had a relationship with. To my surprise the man was fair, short and had similar attributes to my son. I quickly had to arrange for a DNA test to confirm if I was really the dad. The lab report came out I was told the child belonged to me with 99.99% certainty. I am still freaked out because the boy has grown and still looks nothing like me but more like the other man. I have secretly ordered 2 more DNA tests and they all came out positive.
Just wanted to share this experience because my wife doesn't come across like the flashy type and if she didn't confess her past indiscretions to me I wouldn't have ever known. Looks can really be deceptive. I asked her whether she was a runsgirl in university but she said she wasn't. Don't even know if that's true.

@Krak101 I feel OP is trying to do the right thing for once. Dog breeding and trading have been bastardized to the extent that dogs/puppies are hawked on the streets nowadays by just about anyone. No pedigree info, no compliance to ethical breeding standards. Folks just trying to make ends meet no matter whose ox is gored. How sad!
