This is a very simple, straightforward matter.

It is just a matter of speaking. I will not give my glory means He would not share all the elements of His glory with another or His praise with idols. In what context was this made? This was said to dissuade people from giving idols (idols can be a man -- many like donnie have turned their pastors into idols) the glory that should go to God.

For example, God brought the Israelites out of Egypt but when they made the Golden Calf, they gave it God's glory by claiming that it was the Golden Calf that brought them out of Egypt.

Yes, we have been given power and authority over demons but it doesn't mean that when we cast out demons, we should take the credit. The glory belongs to God and must only be seen as being lent to us. So, we must always give Him (and not ourselves) back the glory.

Like I tell people, you cannot understand the Word by merely reading it in isolation or taking the words in their ordinary sense. There are such subtleties as "give" to mean "share". This word does not mean that God will not give us His glory but we must always remember to be careful in how we elevate ourselves or others, especially those who call themselves pastors.

I have seen a thread where Christ was ridiculed but only about two Christians chided the poster but ridicule a pastor and see how thousands of them would be on your neck.

God will never share His glory with another nor His praise with idols. When we heal the sick, we do so to the glory of God and not the glory of man and we can't share His glory with Him.

Your husband chose the right profession and left behind countless wealth, enough the feed his 5th generation. Expensive schools, mega church and mega business.
Not all widows are as lucky. If he was a real "Archbishop" which I think is a title that legit belongs to the Anglican or protestant churches, the wealth would have been owned by the "church" in the true sense.. the schools would be free or at least affordable to the people who actually contributed to its establishment. The hospitals would be free or very affordable.
These are the legacy left by the churches established by the European missionaries.
So be happy "woman of God" and enjoy the wealth given to you by your dear husband.

I am a pastor and i am very happy that pastor sam adeyemi stood up for the truth , i see his spirit, he is new creation minded than most of his colleagues with big churches who has been blinded by money

If tithing was a new creation doctrine apostle Paul would have dedicated a chapter for it as he did the holy communion and how husband and wife should submit to each other, the only doctrine he mentioned on given was how to remember other believers who are in need, and he asked us to give cheerfully.

I am a pastor but i dont pay tithe , but i recognize by the holy spirit that the church needs money to run its self and also help the needy and pay salaries, so what i do is called the lord honor, i bring out 12% of the increase of what God has blessed me with and i give it to the church, am not under any compulsion to give it, but i give it out of Gods love for me. i give more than 12% atimes because i could not get my self to give lower.

I do it freely , if i dont give it nobody will curse me , including God himself. i am happy doing it, in fact its my pleasure to do it.

But i want to thank Pastor Adeyemi, for standing up for the truth, at least he tried. i pray he also stand up for eternal forgiveness of our sins, past .present and future. Jesus paid for all human sins. once and for all.
