Until a christian understands this kind of prayer, he will live an ordinary life and wonder why the scriptures are far from coming alive in his/her life.
When we undersatand this type of prayer, we will love to pray more and fellowhsip with the Spirit of God. We talk less and pray more because we are concious of d fact that ur words do not fall to the ground.
Our tongues hv been tamed.
You know anybody can criticize with his/her mouth until he/she becomes an intercessor. The intercessor is concious of his every word 'because they are LOADED with power. He speaks for God and his words are not empty, they come to pass.
I believe this is the life of a good number of our brethren around the world. They are mindful of their position as priests and kings. They pray and minister as priests, they make decrees as kings. hallelujah. I'll be sharing a few testimonies (personal and some i witnessed ) by d grace of God on the power of prayer and the Spirit filled life.

Some people are used to coming b4 God speaking queens english and asking God to do dis and to bless dat.
Some say things like, 'i told God dat if he didnt do so so and so. . . then i will not do dis and dat'. I listen and i just laugh. They have not yet realised dat Jesus is d boss and dt He calls d shots.
They see great man of God on TV looking really cool, holding a microphone singing or making declarations and they think that is all there is. . . bread and butter christianity.
Well, wat they dont know is dat b4 that coolness and gentleness they saw on TV, there were fastings, crying, groanings, prayers and intercessions.
That is why u find some running into d pulpit with plenty english bt no power. They've learnt d christian language n copy wat they might hv seen n wth some chrisma, they seem to b making progress. Yes, bt such charisma will nt help u when all hell breaks loose against u. Ur queens english will nt help u when u r confrnted by demons of hell. That's when we know if u were sent or u went.

Hope u had a wonderful service. There's one scripture that has revolutionized my life- Rom 8:26.
it is really an awesome experience to have the Holy ghost pray through us.
Some people mistake this for the 'speaking in tongues experience. No its beyond dat, bc when we speak with tongues its our spirit that does the praying (1 cor 14:14) and we are edified and if there is interpretation, others can also be edified, but this one goes beyond as the Holy Ghost himself takes over and begins to do the intercession himself with groanings, deep sighs . . . too deep for words. U may even begin to cry from deep within.
The matter may be beyond your thinking, you do not know what to ask for in prayer or the right words to use but our intercessor, our standby takes over and begins to do the praying according to the will of the father for he knows d mind of God. oh glory!! What a priviledge.
You cannot come out of such a place of prayer and begin to talk ordinary or in unbelief .

Do u remember the baptism of Jesus. Who laid hands on who?
God is a God of order and Jesus had to fulfil all righteousness by allowing John to lay hands on Him thereby tranfering the levetical priesthood.
What gave him the priesthood wasnt the robe he put on. He qualified to be a priest and our high priest through obedience and is functioning as such today. He is not still 'working for' the priesthood but is 'funtioning as' a priest for us today.

Hey bro, were u @ IPPC? Boy its another level 4 me n my minstry.
I did not let anything stop me n am grateful to God cos i succeeded. On teusday of the same IPPC week, i had an accident while driving in from outta town with a friend in my car. The car summersaulted several times but we came out alive and without injuries. Many who saw the car wondered if those involved survived. 2 days l8r, i was on d road agian, headed for Lagos. Its too late for the devil. he has been defeeated. It is promotion time! The word has gone forth concerning China through the power of the Spirt and it shall not return void.

pls permit me this last post. The poster obviously dosnt know me so he is all about talking of scripture and scriptural foundation.
He hasnt been on nairaland long enough to know me or my knowledge in the scriptures.
I would have been surprised if those statements came from someone like Davidylan bc at least i know he's seen me here long enough.
From the start of this thread it wasnt my intention to be part or the arguements, let alone convince anyone by quoting scriptures cos i percieved long ago the Spirit behind this thread.

Anybody can quote Logos. You talk about descerning of Spirits. What do you use to discern?. . . are you sure it is the gift in operation and not your mind?
why have you not been able to discern whether or not you have the Holy Spirit's backing in this your endeavour?

Look at you, standing in the congregaton of sinners, taking sides with satan the accuser of the brethren to attack the church and then you come here telling me about discernment.

OK let me ask you, since you have discerned, to which group do you belong? 2 or 3? because from what i see, you havent taken a stand on either. Like what i explained before, you started out talking about discernment, implying that the Siprit could be of the devil abi? Then you went ahead to call for independent investigation into the working of miracles thereby leaving room for doubt that they ever occured. My dear, i put it to you that you have discerned nothing, but like your unbeliever friends, you are merely dancing to the tune of the one who ws cast down from heaven.

Do you think i have not seen and heard many attrocities commited by God's children around the world? On how many threads do you see me celebrate along with sinners, the percieved shortcomings of the church. What all this your criticism will not achieve in 10yrs, The heartfelt intercession of a little old lady beside her bed in tears will do in a much shorter time.

It is not my responsibility to criticize and accuse others. I am not wiser than Jesus who said he will build His church and the gates of hell will not prevail. So I leave the accusatin for the devil and his kids.

If you notice, from the story you quoted, the lepers were sent to the priest and not to the Senate Commitee on Mircles, or Independent Miracle Investigation commision, or NBC and definitely not Nairaland. They were sent to the priest of God!

That you attend CEC on sunday is no guaranty that the Word is in you. Afterall, we see here someone who attended the healing school with a totally different motive. I notice you said you 'attend'; but are you a member there? Are you involved in what is going on there or you just attend?

I dont want to be the one to correct you on this your 'i dont answer to any pastor' talk. I will rather wait for you new friends to do so. If they dont, maybe for the sake of love, i will show you from scripture where you err because you do not wake up one day and decide to belong to a certain church. It is God who leads you there and causes you to be established and grow in that place.

Of what benefit are these schools of thought that you've raised to the body of Christ. shine your own light and let the darkness be exposed. If the miracles are fake, perform the genuine ones. Or else are you saying that satan is more powerful than God.

I have observed that it is only the first category that has permenent members.

The last two are tossed to and fro and this is what i mean: They first start out by saying, 'the miracles are not real. . . they are stage managed'. Then if they are granted the opportunity of witnessing first-hand the power of God, they shift camp saying, 'hmmm it's majic, it's the devil's power!'
The smart ones dont take any position at all but ensure that by watever means, they fulfil their evil intentions on casting doubt on God's annointed, no matter what it takes.

I read in one of you posts where u admitted that even though you have recieved the Holy Spirit (which we will need more than just words to prove) you do not speak with tongues. That answered my supicions.

Since then, i decided not to join in such arguements with you (especially as pertains to miracles and the power of the Spirit).
Because, if you do not believe in the importance of Speaking in tongues, enough to partake of the gift, how can you appreciate the greater demonstrations of the spirit.

Were you not the one that argued in some place that we as Christians cannot claim to have eternal life or the life and nature of God while on earth?

Unfortunately for you, truths such as these are not learnt in schools, they are recieved by revelation of the spirit through the agency of God's word.

Look at you. . . christian. . . attempting to compare pastors with pastors. please learn to stick to God's word and not hearsay then you will not be speaking in such a confused manner. Yes, members of CEC love their pastor  but know the Lord and understand what He expects of them.

That is why you do not hear things like: The God of pastor chris or the God of Christembassy like is common among you. I remember a certain convention years ago where a lady  who was healed came testifying saying: 'I thank the God of Christ Embassy. . . ' It caused no  small erruption of laughter. She wasnt rebuked though, but we recognized that she hasnt been with us but was from among your group of penticostals.

And you are proud to say you do not answer to or believe in anyone (including your pastor and God i guess).

If you have come in contact with any true CEC member, their trust and confidence in the efficacy of God's Word is unmistakable, hence the mighty  exploits they do all around the Word through the power of his name

Talking about the blind girl recognizing colours, you probably read that up from some soft-sell magazine or some junk write-up. That miracle was aired on TV but not on a christembassy program.

However tell me, is it to much for the God who gave a donkey intelligence to speak, rebuking the erring prophet, to give a man intelligence to recognize colours? If you can't believe it, i do! It may be too much for your God but not for my Jesus.

That is too little a miracle for my God to do. if he could open the girl's blind eye, is it too much to give her intelligence to recognize colours?

I have seen one who was born deaf and dumb begin to speak intelligently, answering questions  by the power of God. Common, we are talking about the God who divided the red sea and held it up until over 6 million jews went through.

Well you talk about 1 egg being replaced, i have seen a little boy who from birth had no balls (with doctors report to attest to the fact) having his 2 balls appear in between his legs during a CEC meeting.

Point of correction; by the grace of God i am a skilled professional, working an 8hr job in one of the largest mobile phone companies in the world.

I have too much rank for that. How many of those ministers of God have you approached for medical reports? I am certain if u approach the healing school the right way, u'd get quite a lot as one of the compulsory requirements for registering at the healing school is a provision of a medical report.

I repeat, this thread is not from the Spirit of Christ.

I saw this thread from its very first page but refused to contribute as i have seen so much of such threads on nairaland since 2005. They havent changed a thing except of course for the many who have not tasted of that true annointing and power from on high. . . these (unfortunately) are made to think that that glory which we see the scriptures is unobtainable today.

That is the purpose of these theads. . . to deny the power of God. it dosnt matter how religious they appear, they are not from the Spirit of God.
One thing i do when i hear an allegation such as this is to look at the life of the critics or accusers; for if their lives do not portray that power and glory as it should rightly be, i discard such allegations as thrash. . . null and void!

If not, how can you explain a christian trying tooth and nail to bring another down? My friends, that is evil, no matter how you look at it. Forget about whether the miracles are true of not, you and i know they are and have stood the test of time. Testimonies abound in Nigeria and all over the world to the glory of God. So now, what is your purpose for this thread? Are those miracles too big for God to perform? Is it impossible or is it a sin to say to the lame 'rise and walk' and have him do just that? Are you trying to cast doubt on the testimonies of God or you are simply envious?

I know that at the healing school we have bed and stretchers to meet the needs of those invalid who will need them as some may not always travel distances with these things. Plus that, there are trained doctors and medical practitioners on hand to attend to the needs of these people. Tell me, is it strange to have wheel chairs and stretchers around in a place that attends to the needs of thousands of sick people?
Besides there are some who come, get healed and refuse to take their wheel chairs and crutches along with them. These could add to the number available for use at the healing school.

That will be too cheap and regretable a thing to do. We cannot even imagine such. It will suprise you, but i havent even bothered to look at the pictures. I know that some of these people are even carried on the back of someone to the healing school. I have worked there myself as a volunteer. I have led the sick by hand to their seats to hear the Word. . . and hearing these allegtions, i am close to tears, not of self pity but, i think i can hear what God is saying: don't worry my children, they have not said those things against you but against me. It will take a crooked mind to think up such falsehood. Dignitories, captains of industry, ministers of the gospel have all visited the healing school of CEC. To come up with stories such as this is to insult their intelligence.

I have by the grace of God commanded the healing power of God on behalf of some sick folk and seen instant results.
i even think it is much easier to command a miracle in Jesus name than to fake one. Those of us who have tasted that power from on high can tell you. It is freely given and is abundantly supplied as the Spirit wills. Once you are in his plan and purpose, anything is possible! You shall decree a thing and it shall be established.

To my fellow believers in Christ, those of you who have something to loose if you speak profanity, be strong and courageous, do not be afraid of their revellings for they are bread for us. Only let your converstaion be as becometh saints so that when they speak of you as evil doers, they will be liars.

Christianity is not in outward observation. This people hv changed the meaning of christianity to now mean i dont drink, i dont smoke, i wear long skirts, tortle necks, jump up trousers and so on. Tell me, hw does that benefit the next man? Its all selfish. . . Me me me. You dont hear them talk about love which is the central theme of the gospel. One man died for all dt we should no longer live to ourselves but to him that died for all.
So to be like God, is to love like God and wch is to love ur fellow humans for whom he died(esp those of the household of faith).
Those who are fond of causing these divisions, strife and envyings are the 'penticostals'. A group dt hs perfected the art of bringing whatever man-made teachings they choose into christianity.
Even thier name 'penticostal', has nothing to do with christianity, so r d other far-fetched doctrines which they preach. Yet they pride themselves in thier names and hv d audacity to call others who dare 2 b different 'devils'.

The truth is, the righteous man naturally desires to please God. He dosnt want to do evil. Yes he may make mistakes or even sin wilfully sometimes but there is this feeeling of guilt and regret that always follows. If u find that u hv this innate desire to do evil, chances are that u are not saved and u need to be born again.
The secret to living above sin for the righteous man is to walk in the Spirit. The bible says: 'walk in the spirit and ye shall not fulfil the lusts of the flesh, for the flesh lusts against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh.'
So you are either a sinner or a saint (no middle ground). For thr sinner, he cannot produce righteousness bc it is not in him to do so. For the saint, he that is born of God does not sin. However, if('if' and not 'when' bc it isnt natural to do so) any man sin, we have an advocate with the father, Jesus the righteous. His blood cleanses us from all unrighteousness so we can stand blameless b4 him halleluyah.

Well, like i said when a man is brn again, it is his Spirit that is recreated. He dosnt loose his mind. He may still have his old thoughts, and emotions but the task now is for him to subject these to the Word. The word is the instrument for bringing every thought into subjection to this new life which you have recieved.
Romans 12:1-2 tells us not to be conformrd to this world but to be transformed by the RENEWING OF OUR MINDS.
So whereas he has a new Spirit, he needs to subject his mind to a renewal process through God's Word. This is a continuous process and the result is a perfect man in Christ Jesus.
Just as it isnt natural for a man to walk on all fours like other animals, he may do so during infancy but later grow out of it. Even when he is grown up, he may sometimes trip and fall, but since it isnt natural for him to remain down, he gets up, dusts himself and continues his walk. This is d way it is with the righteousness man; he may fall 7 times, but he will surely get up n continue in faith

Ez 36:27-'And i will put my spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgements, and do them'. This is the Holy spirit which we recieve within us after we are saved. When that annointing comes, we no longer struggle to live that life of righteousness which we have recieved for his spirit within us causes us to walk in his ways, Halleluyah!
That's why Philipians 2:13 says it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.
Ez 36:28-30 goes on to show us the kind of prosperity that follows such a Spirit-led life. He says, 'I will call for the corn and multiply it and lay no famine upon you. . .' Glory to God!
So my dear, this life isnt in everyman. No wonder Jesus said, 'ye must be born again'. This is not a change of ways or the refurbishment of a mans character but a completely new birth. The unregenerated man abides in death. When he recieves Jesus, he passes from death to life.

i do not agree with u that righteousness is an intergral part of every man because since the fall of Adam in the garden, every man born into this world comes with the same fallen nature. . . that nature of sin. It is natural for him to sin.
It is this nature that is supplanted with the new nature at the new birth. Then he is a new creation. With a new life from God.
This new life or nature does not exist side by side with the old nature as some think; it replaces the old nature.
It becomes unnatural for him to do evil and natural for him to do right. This is the nature of righteousness.
The bible shows by the prophet Ezekiel what this new birth is about as he speaks prophetically concerning our day in Ez 36:26
'A new heart will i give you and a new spirit will i put within you: and i will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and i will give you an heart of flesh'. This is the new birth, the old nature is gone, and the new nature has come HALLELUJAH.

Na so i see am o. Even in print media, any newpaper or magazine experiencing poor sales will simply put the MOGs pic on thier cover and write a story(no matter how stupid) and they're bound to make huge sales.

Can u imagine such wisdom and understanding of the word coming from a catholic whom many have written off? Truely truely, the pure Word of God has no bounds, He will use the foolish things of this world to comfound d wise.

I also agree with you because everything that's in line with God's plans and purpose for mankind is righteousness. However, a man is not only awakened to rightousness at the new birth; it actually becomes a vital living reality in his/her life.
He is able to make war and live victoriously and in prosperity through righteousness.

Righteousnes is the nature of God that is imparted to a man's Spirit at the new birth giving him the ability to stand before God without the feeling of guilt, inferiority or condemmnation and also gives him the ability to produce righteousness (live right).
Righteousness is not right-living; rather, it produces right-living. It produces the rightness of God in a man.
It makes hima master over sin, over the World and over Satan.
Is is not earned. It is a free gift of God to those who believe.

It is the same spirit that told Chris Okotie that Pst Chris is a 'shamman'. He went further to tell him to contest election to become Nigeria's president, Then to divorce his wife and marry another, now he is talking about Tsunami. . . Nna e! Wetin we no go hear from these penticostals? They've perfected the art of reading their minds into scripture. You don't have to mention all those pastors. just tell me who ur pastor is and what u believe in as only God's Word can truely tell if u meet the stadard of a church that is growing and preparing for the Lord's return.

Because to be a christian is to believe in the resurrection of Jesus. Which is to believe in his triumph over the forces of darkness when he made a public spectacle of them in hell. Which is to believe that u were raised togeda with him unto the same newness of life which also means that u are seated with him at the right hand(place of authority) of God. The truth is, such a person is not a christian. If he was before, at that point, he has denied the Lord Jesus Christ. In fact i dare say, he never met the real Jesus. Because if u do, you will know that there is no power in all the universe that can witthstand him. He is omnipotent!

That song wasn't written by Pst Chris. It was written by a dear brother who passed on not too long ago (whom i also got to meet @ CEC Abuja while rehersing with the choir for the Abuja convention with Pastor Chris).
The song was chosen as the official Reach Out Nigeria song in his honour/remembrance.
It touched my heart to hear that song this yr again.
