Christians these days are busy following pastors and not God. They forget that the pastor is just a mere human being who is falllible. They may want to dress like him or fry their hair becos he does so but the truth remains that he is not their creator. that's why they get all dissappointed or jump ship when they spot a flaw on the pastor's character.The truth remains that there are are many so called 'Men of God' who will not make heaven because they run their churches as money making ventures hence performing fake miracles etc. A lot of their members may reach the pearly gates because they believed through their sermons and 'miracles'but on that day of judgement to their utmost surprise,God willl say to these vain 'Gods of Men': I KNOW YOU NOT.

So we can safely conclude that pastor Chris will not make heaven abi?

Long time. It's actually because of u i'm here. . . nothing else. I always like to stay away from threads like this esp when i'm not sure of the Spritual state of the poster. . . if he is submitted to the authority of the Spirit himself.

Anyways my little contribution:

Any man of God that depends on his congregaion for his prosperity is not living the life God called him to live.

God dosnt send people to a man of God to make the MOG rich. No.

These men are blessed and sent to make many rich(2cor 6:10). When they were sent, all that they needed was put in them (except they were not sent but went).

There are signs of a sent one that any Spirit filled christian can percieve and it has nothing to do with materialism.

A blessed man has all he needs for life in that blessing (which is spiritual). But every other thing u see around him is not the blessing but the result of the blessing.

So whether in want or in plenty a true man of God is blessed and able to make others rich.

God said to abraham, I will bless you and make you a blessing. He that blesses you is blesssed and he that curses you is cursed. That is why they seem to be money magnets. The moment the MOG take his eyes of the kingdom which is the reason for the blessing and focuses on the things of this world, the riches which carnal eyes see will soon be no more.

A man of God who is put in charge of God's people must first be dead to this world with its cares and put the needs of his flock before his (and this has nothing to do with how many cars he drives, what he wears or whether he has a house or not) as all that in the face of God is nothing but dung.

Turn blind eye? I actually saw this reply yesterday but didnt have time to reply as i got much work on my table.

The crusade i suppose you are refering to is the Night of bliss held in 2002 at the national stadium Lagos.
That was the last crusade we ever had there b/c it was obvious, that the stadium couldnt contain the crowds. The crowds outside far exceeded the one in the mainbowl.

It's like lying is your hubby. There was never any such estimate coming from CEC for that crusade. The estimate given for the attendance at that meeting was 500,000 and not 2,000,000. This is another lie coming from Sir John. I am not surprised anyway.

It was after that crusade that we started counting in millions.

As a matter of fact the crowds began to increase geometrically from 2001 when great persecution arose against Christ Embassy from other churches and groups.

In Benin, 1.5 million people attended under torrential downpour of rain. There were miracles everwhere. Several grounds were filled with people who came to witness the power of God.

After that, the city of Port-harcourt literally came to a stand-still as 2.5 million people gathered for the night of bliss with pastor Chris. For this one, the main bowl of the  stadium was right behind the stage as it served as one of the many overflows which included the yards and rooftops around the area. You would have to walk a long distance from where the crowds began to even site where the stage was.  I was an usher in that program and i witnessed how the main bowl was filled up minutes after the gates were swung open. You could not hold back the crowds. I saw a lady faint right before my eyes. I did not recognize my neat suit the following morning as the press was almost overwhelming but for the angels of God at work helping with crowd control. If you climbed to look, all you would see was a sea of heads.

The miracles were mid-blowing. Wheel chairs & clutches flew in the air as those they once carried were healed. The Spirit moved over the whole area. A lady who came to church on the sunday thanksgiving in PH  testified of how she participated from her house  around the area(she was not a member of CEC) and got healed of her sickness.

Pastor Chris told the congregation that the annointing they had recieved that night was even on their clothes and that they should take their clothes to the sick and to where the power of God was needed when they leave there. Of course the miracles followed. A friend of mine laid his shirt on a sick relative who fell under the power and got up healed. A woman testified later in church of how she put her dress under her husbands bed before he got back. Her husband was not born-again and she wanted him saved. The man laid down to sleep and woke up in the middle of the night talking in tongues!

I dont need to say much about the Good Friday Miracle Night in lagos in 2006 because most of you already know what happened. Over 3.5 million in attendance. That area had never seen such a crowd.

Now CEC can no longer hold such meetings anywhere. Where will you advice us to use?

These days, its church pastors and campus pastors that are asked to use the stadiums. I recall recently, in Benin, Only pastor Joy's church(apart from the other hundreds of satelite churches we have in Benin) held a program at the stadium and the crowds came. My friend told me about how during the meeting, she came down from the stage and walked up to a lady who has had a stiff neck for long and could not turn her neck. God told me that He has healed you she told the woman after the woman had said what her problem was. Turn your neck now she asked the lady. The lady turned her whole body instead. No the pastor said, you are healed, turn your neck now. the lady turned her whole body again. God told me up there that he has healed you but just to confirm it i will lay my hands on you. She laid her hands on her and the lady goes under the power. Bring her back she asks and then lays hands on her and agian she goes under the power. Turn your neck now she commands and woosh, the lady swings her neck as though nothing ever happened to it. The whole stadium went agog with shouting and jubilation as they celebrated the power of God. The power of the Holyghost is everywhere working with his chosen.

The same way we are conquering on land, we are also conquering the airwaves. We hold online meetings where crowds gather in different locations participating at the same time all over the world. We are on major satelites around the world. Amazing grace!! Pastor Chris does not even need to fly around. He just stays at a point and talks to the world. Christ Embassy Carry go! The world is yours!

How I wish you can tell us what happened when more than 500physically challenged people came for healing and they went home with money, brother open up, so that God will forgive you. But I know you will surely avoid this question.

For the sake of those who have painfully been going  through this your sad presentation of facts which we are beginning to understand are all cooked up and directed at a purpose (for which i tell you in the name of Jesus you will fail to achieve on this thread), i will show you what you do not know.

In acts 3:1-8 the bible talks about a man who was lame from his mother's womb and who was laid daily at the gate of the tample called beautiful. Jesus passed through that same gate often while he lived on earth. Why did He not heal the man? enh? why? Was he a fake? However, on this particular day, even though the man expected money from them and not healling, the Spirit had a plan. Peter and John healed the man as the Spirit of the Lord came upon them.

The Holy Spirit is the one in charge of His church. Even Jesus was annointed by the Spirit and had to be led by Him. He leads and we follow. When you are in close communion with the Spirit, you can feel his presence and power and hear his voice. We may not have to explain this to those around all the time. Sometimes, we just act and those who are of the Spirit understand while carnal men run their mouths anyhow.
I can tell you, because i live and  function in that realm.

In John 5:2-9, at Jerusalm by the pool of Bethesda, there lay a great multitude of impotent folk: blind, withered etc waiting for the stiring of the water for an angel came down at a certain season into the pool and stirs the water. The first to get into the pool gets healed. There was a certain man who lay there; he had an infirmity for 38 years. Jesus walks to the man, heals him and walks away. What about the rest of them sick folk? Why didn't Jesus heal them all? Oh it was stage-managed!. . . you will shout if you were there. Those folks that besiege the synagogue each time there is food, clothing, scholarships or money to be given  away get exactly what they came for. I believe that if on any of such occassions, there is a sincere cry for mercy from the God of Isreal, the father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Spirit will move and there will be healings and miracles.

You dont understand these things and that is why you err.

The plan of God for salvation had been since before the foundation of the world, not after Adam sinned. Have you forgotten that it was satan that first sinned, was kicked out of heaven, caused Adam and Eve to sin and is still responsible for the wickedness in the world today?

I am talking about a period long before the recreation of the earth. Between Gen 1:1 and Gen 1:2 is a very long period, Probably millions of years.

God did not create the world to be without form and void. The account you have from verse 2 down is actually a recreation story.

You choose what you want to see. A prophet can prophesy healing while i stand by and observe the action of faith of the reciever, praying from my heart that he is completely healed. I may even walk up to him and whisper in his ear to take his steps without fear for God has already begun working something in him. I can also choose to stand aside and observe how he tries and falls back again with tears in his eyes and fear in his eyes and do nothing because i have nothing to give. No faith or love in me to give, just an observer of pure facts, without truth, walking by the sight of my eyes, observing lying vanities.

Now talking about whether he should give gifts or heal the sick or afflicted, shouldn't that tell you that he is not in control of what happens around there. There is a Spirit who calls the shots. . .got that? He does what he wants and when he chooses to. I believe he has a ministry to the world and to greedy and selfish christians; to teach them how to live.

We are not about to be healed, nor are we trying to be healed, healing is our birthright. We got it over 2000 yrs ago!

The bible is a book of prophecy and not a newspaper.

The Spirit by which these Holy men of God spoke is called the ancient of days. He is the Spirit of wisdom and of knowledge. He is Omniscient.

My dear, the levethian just like the Dinosaur is an amphibian; not purely a sea creature. If the levethian did not live on land, how come the scripture describes it as having limbs and spitting /breathing fire from its mouth and nostrils? Did it do all that in water?

These are scriptures some which show what actually happened to the world they lived in(Before Adam):

Isaiah 24:1- Behold, the Lord maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scaterreth abroad the inhabitants thereof.

Prophetically, this shows us what happened. It was destroyed, turned upside down, made empty and waste (ie. without form and void). Dont forget that no where else in scripture is the earth known to have been without form and void than just before its re-creation (as found in Gen 1:2) .

You find the same senario in Jeremiah 4:23-26.

Here it goes on to tell us that there were men inhabiting the earth before its destruction. It also shows that there were cities which were also buried under the earth by God in his anger. This explains the fossils which date to several millions of years ago.

There is mention of dinosaurs in the bible contrary to the opinions of many.

The Bible is in agreement with the many discoveries of eveidence of life on earth (however not this present world) before Adam. The same World where the ape man (homo erectus) existed. This man was however not made in the image and likeness of God. These aren't our ancestors as some will have us believe.

This old world was destroyed by God in his anger and left in a state that is described in the bible as being without form and void. (Gen 1:2).

God did not create the world to be without from and void. Remember Lucifer who was the covering chrub  that covereth the earth?
He was the one left in charge of that world which he messed up thereby bringing the judgement of God upon it. This destruction i believe is what scientists unknowingly refer to as the big bang.

That is why God commanded man in Gen 1:28 to replenish the earth. You do  not replenish what was not inhabited before.

Well let me leave this background for now and address the issue of dinosaurs. I think the book of job describes this creature even more vividly than any scientist would.

The bible calls satan the father of lies, not of liars but of lies. Lies are his offspring. So when you recieve lies, you are recieving the seed of satan into you. As you meditate on it and begin to share it like it is done here on nairaland, you are participating and fellowshipping with Satan because you have his seed in you. You will definitely reap the fruits of what you have stored in you(lies).

You cannot sow onions and expect to reap potatoes. What you allow into you and nurture, you will definitely reproduce.

But you wouldn't notice immediately where your problem is coming from until you are totally destroyed, except God has mercy on you and opens your eyes to see where you are headed; or He sends someone to warn you like i am doing now, to o.

He prophesied President Attah's victory accurately. The President himself testified of how he told the prophet he should be sworn in  (if he wins) b4 a certain date. The man of God looked at him, smiled and said, 'NO there'll be three elections' and that his swearing in will be extended. He went on to tell Attah the period he will be sworn in. It happened exactly as the Prophet had prophesied.

I actually heard him ask the congregation to pray for a certain company that will face disaster. He said he could only see the second part of the name which is 'VERSAL'.

Well, not long after, a large entertainment company in the US by name UNIVERSAL was engulfed in strange fire. As God will have it, no soul was lost.
