Lemme tell you if you don't know. We have only 3 APC House of Reps Members-elect from the entire South South. They 3 Member-elect are from Edo State. One (Akpatason) represents my Constituency, the other (Pally Iriase) represents Owan Federal Constituency and the former Majority Leader of Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Philip Shuaibu who would represent Etsako in the next House. Only Iriase is contesting among the trio and he has since stepped down for Gbajagbiamila.

I'm not sure if any of the 2 APC Members-elect from the Southeast (Imo precisely) is interested or is a ranking member. Just be rest assured the if Lawan emerges the President of the 8th Senate, Gbajagbiamila would emerge the Speaker. No two ways about that!

Buhari's stand on this even favours the Southwest because if Lawan (Northeast) doesn't emerge the Senate President, they would make sure Yakubu Dogara (Northeast) emerges the Speaker. Since Lawan (Northeast) would become the President, Gbajagbiamila (Southwest) may likely become the next Speaker because the Senate President and the House Speaker cannot come from the same zone!
