Whatchu mean? it's medicine we talking here not mls, nursing,empire2017 are u from abia state? do u know any staunch personality in absu? If the latter is no,then just go find one. 266 medicine absu, hmmmm no tooo good.
And what outrageous fees are you talking about? aside from the development, accreditation and acceptance fees(100lvl), which again?
You're forgetting a couple details.

1. ABSU is a state university with a low competition (1500 last year)

2. expensive school fees, when compared to fed unis

3. Close to Uniport. Hence the big guns would rather not go there

4. 266 is not so easy to get.

Also if Delsu with 3495 candidates last year took 260 for merit, how would you expect absu to demand higher?.... Don't make the dude scared over nothing. I support he needs a strong WiFi but his chances of getting it without a strong WiFi is still pretty high.

But i won't be using awaiting result, so GCE is more like for future. Isn't it?
Exactly, GCE is more of a future plan. The affidavit should be your present plan.

Also, I would advice you rectify your issue(outside the affidavit route) so as to prevent future unpleasant events. Unlike what promise is saying, I've heard of issues of marginalization brought about by incorrect D.O.B and name issue(despite an affidavit being present) in getting jobs. Some countries too would not recognize a Nigerian affidavit, making it impossible to go to, study or work in such countries.

If waec is the only issue, then rewrite and free yourself.

there's nothing like islamization agenda.... stop believing nonsense and live your life to the fullest....
IRK is Islamic Religious Knowledge.... Be informed
Sorry but that's bull crap. It's so glaring what they're trying to do and I am fully against it. Remove all religious subjects or put them all in. that shouldn't be too hard

Thanks for this, i was contemplating writing another WAEC.
Just saw this, and I think you should go ahead with it. It's better safe than sorry and it puts your mind at rest

GCE registration is still on BTW

You should of course get the affidavit too as GCE won't be out till year end

You guys should check properly before you begin to share wrong knowledge to the public....
CRK and IRK has been integrated to civic... It will still be thought in schools but not as a subject... OP Be guided....

I don't even know if religious studies has any impact.. I think our religious bodies should be fully in charge and not schools
So it's International Relativity Knowledge(IRK) they are writing on Thursday abi?

You will not shut up and agree that there is an Islamization agenda going on in a secular country.

somebody should advise me pls...I chose delsu as my second choice and got 295 in the last jamb aspiring for med and surgery...using the point system used by the sch, my total was 60 which is higher than the minimum point of 55.. my question is this will I be on a safer side if I change delsu to my first choice owing to the competitive nature of admission in Uniben which is my first choice ..I'm from delta also. thanks
Uniben about a 60% chance

Delsu 100% chance

Choose wisely

I don't think so... But you should visit the admissions office of your school and do some enquiries. So as to be sure an affidavit would be accepted

The testimonial and certificate; I have none is it applied to all schools?
Not all schools require those. Important ones are jamb result, O'level cert, birth cert/age declaration, LGA letter or cert of identification(clearance).... You could check which your school required last year and start stockpiling them.

I'll advice you to get an Affidavit from the court swearing that the date of birth on your birth certificate is wrong and you're already 16( I don't know how they go about this, but u can ask those that have done it before) , .....don't just say you'll try ur luck, cos you may gain the admission but end up being dropped during the screening exercise.....you don't want to waste this good score and you don't know what may happen if you decide to write another utme next year.......And someone advising you to change to a state university won't work either , all universities in Nigeria require a minimum of 16 years for admission( it's on jamb brochure)....
Seriously what's with Nigerians and shortcuts?

You may have forgotten that his D.O.B in waec can't be changed and could conflict with his certificate in the future, especially if he decides to go abroad.

The kid seems smart. Waiting a year won't kill him

My name is Declan. I wrote my first jamb this year, scored 270. I have A1 in maths, chemistry and biology with B2 in English and physics and I applied for Medicine in UNN. I am also going to be 15 this year. Can I be admitted?
I believe a minimum of 16 years of age is required for tertiary education. Nice result all the same

Briona:
which institution do you think uses more of your o'level results?
UI, OAU, Unilag and I think LASU also.... Lasu would be a good pick: moderate fees and lesser competition.

I would warn that pharm and dent would still be impossible with that score. At most, you'd get one of the basic med sciences, microbiology or MLS.

please I need urgent answers, scored 216 in jamb, physics and maths got A,
biology and chemistry got B,
English got C,
uniport is my choice of institution, I'm also into the basic program in uniport.
between dentistry and pharmacy, which one do I have a higher chance of getting admitted?
thanks.
Dear, 216 won't get you anything in the Basic medical sciences let alone goldmines such as pharm or Dent. Maybe microbiology but that's not even assured.

your choices are; Stay at uniport, focus and ace you 2nd semester basic exams(if they've not written it already).

Or Switch of a school that uses O'level grades. Your O'level looks great and that means it'd boost your chances but not at uniport.

NOTE: Uniport gives almost all their there basic students admission. It may not be your desired course but you'd get something

50% of 600+ mcqs, 10+ essay questions, steeple chase, vivas etc... On anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and other advanced medical courses. Voluminous books with super voluminous contents. 8hours+ of classes everyday except weekends. Not up to 2 months break a year.

Please don't deceive peeps with statements like those. I'm an aspirant but as least I know what I'm getting into, but over 80% of aspirants out there think it's a bed of roses and this your post really isn't helping that. That's why a lotta peeps flunk, quit or just barely make it out, because they thought it was gonna be easy and didn't prepare themselves enough.

Applying for medicine jamb score 283 1A and 4Bs what are my chances in UNICAL or UNIPORT?
Unical... Very good . Uniport? 50/50

With that score and O'level, try calculating your points using UI, OAU or unilag's point system. I think you'd pass last year's cut off of any of those three.

Vomiting and Diarrhea leads to salt and Water loss: Discuss the hormonal Mechanisms involved in the restoration of these Parameters
The release of ADH from the pituitary and Aldosterone from the adrenal would facilitate reabsorption of water and sodium from the kidney, which would help balance lost water and salt.

On a Hot day, The Body Produces small concentrated Urine, While on a cold day, it produces Large Dilute Urine. Discuss the Mechanism involved to achieve this....

Some of the UNN 2mbbs questions for Dental and medical students,,,,,,,,,, Unn
On a Hot day:
The skin releases sweat as a mechanism to reduce the external body temperature. This would result in a decrease in the body's osmotic pressure. To counteract this, ADH is releases from the pituitary gland to facilitate water reabsorption in the kidney, hence resulting in a small concentrated Urine.

On a cold day:
The blood has a high osmotic pressure. The kidney hence removes as much water as it can until the osmotic pressure is balanced. ADH isn't released, so no reabsorption takes place, thereby leading to a large diluted urine

#O'Level knowledge but I think I came close

Op is right
Maths 200.huh
You must be joking
You're comparing maths 200 with IMO
Remember it's for ss1 and ss2
Some of the questions i can still recall
*2^2015*2^2017 find the last number
*Mathematical -induction
*Sqaure root of 1200054121 will it be 1.prime number 2.odd number 3.even number
Remeber no calculator.

Back then in secondary school SS1 and SS2 to be precise i attempted NIMO i won medals at the 1st stage the 2nd stage that will qualify you for IMO was hell back then the highest i scored was 1/10 .

I don't have the opportunity to participate in IMO i'm sure it will be more harder than 2nd stage.
Maths is beautiful but those questions are dangerous... I believe Calcs are not allowed
