HI All,
I've been following the thread starting from the day it's creation.
but due to insufficient resources I couldn't chat then,
I must say this is the best thread for now on nairaland. Have learnt a lot already. Donpre very familar name, Optimist Good job guys, God will actually see us through , its our year!!!
seriously? how very familiar?

Not too shabby if you ask me
Yea, just seeing that... not bad at all. Infact I think 2 hours would be too much

Sure! number of aspirants is low, which increases your chances.

Have you guys seen this? cheesy
This is crazy!... so a mandatory use of keyboard keys wasn't bad enough, now this.

They are giving stup!d excuses while forgetting that a reduced time would lead to increased pressure, tension and anxiety, hence another inglorious year of mass failure

Well all I can do now is laugh engineering aspirants... maths, phy, chem and English under 2 hours? it sucks to be them right now

I keep getting most of the questions wrong cos I mis-use the formulas.. this happens when am under tension or pressure.... i need HELP!!!!
how can i solve questions correctly under tension or pressure?.... Donpre and Optimist1998
Its simple(maybe not so simple). Add more tension, and solve more past questions till your brain gets use to the pressure. Or you can practice being 'detached'(i.e emotionless) throughout the exercise.

sadly, neither of them is easy

For that of capacitors.
I don't understand, I thought capacitors store charge which it used by inductors to produce sparks. Now you're saying, capacitors reduce the number of charges and brings about less or no sparks

Maybe I gotta go revise that topic

II. Density
III. Temperature
IV. Nature of substance
which of the above affect diffusion?

A. I and II only
B. I,II and IV only
C. II, III and IV only
D. I, II, III and IV

Past question thinks C is the answer
I think D is the answer
What do you think is the answer?
Since density is directly dependent on mass and volume, C is definitely wrong... I'd go with D

Which of the following is true of sounds?
A. sound travels faster in air at 20 o C than at 30 o C
B. the frequency of a given sound wave changes when it crosses the boundary seperating two media
C. the wavelength of a given sound wave in air decreases as the temperature increases
D. sound waves cannot be reflected

Please lets discuss this......
Why is C the answer, I don't agree with any of the options above. Maybe I'm missing something.
I think there isn't a correct option too

@Option C, Since velocity increases as temperature increases, and frequency remains constant, then wavelength should also increase and not decrease... could be a typo or a mistake. I'll Google search just to be sure

I just recently discovered that the collision of molecules with each other is not perfectly elastic as some energy is transferred to the next molecule causing that molecule to move (Kinetic energy). Sadly our textbooks didn't stress this point...........
ermmm... I thought all molecules in gaseous state are already in continual motion due to kinetic energy already acquired

it could be plausible that molecules that collided with the container lose their kinetic energy and have to regain it from another molecule

A. Infinity
B. Zero

C. prevent electric sparks
D. dissipate energy
I'd go with D

- If the mechanical advantage of a machine is 4. What is its ratio for LOAD to EFFORT?

-If a projectile has maximum range of 36m, find the speed of projection (Take g = 9.8m/s 2 )
A. 27m/s 2
B. 2m/s 2
C. 4m/s 2
D. 7m/s 2
I'm assuming there isn't an angle. using the formula for range, there wasn't a correct option but using the formula for maximum height, A would be correct

Are you sure the question is correct?... and the S.I unit of the answers is also wrong

let's say the answer is B....as for the E when molecule of gases hit the vessel in which they are contain kinetic energy is is not conserved, the energy will convert to another form of energy.....so the typo is not in the question but the answer.
"E. The collisions of molecules with each other are inelastic"

You should pay attention to details. it clearly stated collision with each other.

The question is correct, just the "inelastic" typo

antenna can be said to be a feature of arthropoda instead of just insecta.
