Scrypt:Sounds more like ukwuani language!!! |
jaybee3:Yeah I think... Thanks. He's just a dunce who thinks his way of life is more superior to someone else's. |
MrCork:Did you just call our way of life and culture rubbish? I guess you have totally lost it. Have lived in SA and the level of development there is first class. Their first language is any of their local language especially zulu then followed by english. And they give value to more of traditional attire. What's english traditional dressing? Be educated! |
bushdoc9919:Long time! I guess those mods suspended you... Abi wetin come happen na? |
njideoby:Its so much possible... I had a slump about a month ago due to typhoid and dehydration. I didn't know when I fell down and hit my head so hard on the floor. Thank God my sis was around, otherwise!! Hmm. |
DaGC:Though you made ur point... But you're speaking as if he did us a favour.. He didn't do it, government did it. So let's not praise to bastards cos they are performing below expectations... Assuming you have an investment of $50billion and you have a manager over it, what do you expect from such huge investment? |
LRNZH:LRNZH, av been following ur threads for a while now... You dey always castigate about railways... LOL... Hope all is well sha... But you are right though... Its good to create awareness about what the government has done so far and what they refuse to do... Half baked development is no development.. That's my angle of seeing things. Have a good year. |
American broadcaster NBC made a pretty big gaffe during their coverage of Manchester United’s match against Tottenham – after subtitles referred to Juan Mata as ‘Marijuana Mata’. An eagle-eyed fan spotted the mistake during the second half of the Premier League clash on Sunday after the channel’s subtitle department tried to explain how well the Spaniard was playing at White Hart Lane. Unfortunately for NBC, whoever was in charge of writing the subtitles ended up adding a few more letters to the midfielder’s first name Juan – and called him ‘Marijuana Mata’ instead. Oops. Tomtoxic:Yeah, they use electric train there. Gautrain (speed train) and metro rail (normal train). Metro rail is almost available everywhere just like danfo... And Gautrain is still a bit selected for some long distance and special places but they are still extending sha. |
Hey Op! You shouldn't display your stupidity in public instead... I'm a Niger-Deltan but I hate Jonathan So much... But this, you need to check your head. This is not a GOVERNMENT site, but just your stupid blog trying to make a point and tarnish the government and not Jonathan. |
E.O.P (Enemies Of Progress) relax cos we are winning this game! |

MduZa come and hear wetin they are saying against your Bafana Bafana oooo... Them dey even call una Banana Banana?? Any SA around? Pls do the needful and defend your RAND. Go Super Eagles. |
Op, I have a feeling you are being bias in your research because you suppose to have an opinion before and after he was arrested and jailed for 10yrs.. Pre and post Buhari.. Here is an interview with Fela.. Thanks for reading. "Since then the civilian government of President Shagari has been replaced by a military regime in Nigeria, but if you go by the songs Fela belted out in the last couple of days, nothing much has changed as far as he's concerned. “Teacher Don’t Teach Me Nonsense” was one of his songs and the colonial school books that were opened in this song speak volumes. Of course I am very curious to hear from an expert and a person who is directly involved to hear about the current situation in Nigeria (June 1984). Is the situations worse than before the coup d’état? “Much worse! Much worse!” Also concerning freedom and justice? “That’s also much worse. There can be no justice in Africa until African courts are instituted. Most people that have to appear before a court have absolutely no idea what’s happening to them. Sometimes they don’t even speak any English. As a matter of fact most people that have to appear in court don’t speak any English and then some lawyer starts citing books that were written in London, the magistrate sits there nosing about in them and the man in the bench doesn’t understand anything. He has stolen two chickens or some money and there they sit closing and opening books. He asks himself what that has to do with the two chickens. For an African such a dispute figures between him, the man he stole the chickens from and the judge and together they find a solution. That’s an African concept. There are only three parties, no intermediaries like lawyers. I just mean to say: that this man is stealing chickens doesn’t mean that he has lost his voice. He can still defend himself and then it would be a simple case. But no, law books from 1840 have to be cited. Hahaha. They say everything in pompous, unintelligible English and the man doesn’t understand anything about it. All these things are so undemocratic. But our democracy is nonsense to begin with. Democracy is demo-crazy. Because the judges are also appointed by the government, you see. They are instructed by the government. I could be taken to court right now if they weren’t afraid of my popularity. Many people are sent to jail simply due to the instructions of the government. You are put on trail but go to jail the same, guilty or not guilty, if the government wants it. They pronounce judgment by the letter of the law, not by the truth. I myself was once brought to trail and I asked for bail. But the judge first had to excuse himself and I knew that he went to ask for instructions. When he returned I was refused bail and was sent back to my cell. There wasn’t even a legal reason to refuse me bail, because that’s only allowed if you’ve murdered someone or committed armed robbery. There wasn’t even a charge against me. When we demanded to know in the court room why I was put on trail they told us they were still working on the accusations. So I had to spend 30 days in jail without an accusation and couldn’t even get out on bail. That was in 1977 when they burnt down my house. After those 30 days I had to appear in court again and was sent back again for 20 days. Now I ask you: what kind of law is that? And if that can happen to me, and I am quite familiar with the laws in my country and informed about my rights and am also backed by half the population, how would that go with the ordinary man, who has no support? The prisons in Africa are full of unemployed young people who are searching for life itself, searching for improvement. They have no way out. Convicted by the letter of the law”. I will be making posting some intresting facts about Fela and Buhari soon. Thanks |
One thing you guys don't understand is: life outside west africa, we are termed one. I live in SA for some while now, and there's is hot tension between SA and Naija. Both economically and womanly.. Lol But the tensions doesn't affect our leaders, they know how to sit or call themselves to solve this problems. Take the SA/Naija deportation saga, and of recent the synagogue saga.. Up till now the dead have not been repatriated (may they rest in peace) but the two govt have been treading carefully not to cause any major problem because they both have huge investment to protect. I was with a white SA some few days back and he asked if I know chief so so so... Like really, I told him there are many chiefs in Nigeria and he said the man built a house over R70 million in Sandton, so he was thinking I would know him cos he's got lots of money and popular. There's lots of Nigerian investment in SA and lots of SA investment in Nigeria.. So let's no quarrel cos we just are fooling ourselves, the elites knows how to settle disputes among themselves, so we the masses should learn to do same. I rest my case. |
Been United Fan since 1999, but lost respect to this team... Maybe we can go to EUROPA next season but not sure. Wish we could just improve on our play and silence our critics. |
omerta:I really love your post... Its just so constructive and mature. That's all I can say, at least for now. |
PassingShot:When I remember Ibori water runaway my eye!!!! |
sunnshyn:Lol... Thanks know all the deals but.... We'll chat on that... Sent you a pm... Send me ur bb pin.. Have a gud day. |
sunnshyn:Never believed someone cud speak my mind just like you did. When I got to joburg I was so surprise dat I named a street (De Villiers) Idumota. Cos you wud hear all sort of Nigerian language especially igbo. I just settled in easily cos I was born and bread in Lagos... I hustled all through my life so adapting in a foreign land wasn't so hard but it was difficult cos its still a foreign land. I can beat my chest dat some of you guys reading dis post wouldn't survive for 3 months cos the life here is just like a bullet train... Before you say "Jack" its month end and landlord will chase u out if you don't pay and will also seize ur property ( dat na if you have any). You pay about 40k naira for just a room and its monthly. I can't want to come back to my darling Lagos. |
waternogetenemy:Sorry bra!!! The speaker of a house is chosen (more like voted for) by strictly members of the house... Though the decision can be influenced, but he never be appointed cos he was voted in just like the president. Bless your soul. |
I remember this time last year... I was coming from a club in Soweto. This guys have been following me and all of a sudden they just busted me and ask for my money. I don't go with cash that late and I made a mistake to go out with my phone. The guy sacked me nicely and deep his hands inside my yansh and prick to make sure I was not hiding anything. Lol. Well, during the robbery they hit me the pistol they were holding and I got a deep cut on my head. Its easier for a South Africa to have gun than pure water we see on the street. Crime here is just unbearable and stupid. They don't steal reasonable things... Maybe phone, money for drugs or beer. So if someone have an encouter with them just don't argue or struggle thinking the gun might not be loaded. This people have wasted some many naija lives here than we can even imagine. Rest in Peace to all the dead. Its high time we the youths resist our leaders who extorts us. Otherwise we gonna end up being our own slaves. God bless Nigeria. |
1. Mary Kate & Olivier Sarkozy Mary Kate has accomplished so much in her 27 years (actress/fashion designer/producer/author/businesswoman & twin!) that it seems fitting she dates a man 18 years older. Olivier is a banker and half-brother of Nicolas Sarkozy, the former President of France—not a bad connection to have—L’amour vrai https://starfluff.goodeggmediagrou.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/article-2574338-1C121F0C00000578-91_634x505.jpg 2. Rod Stewart & Penny Lancaster And in my heart you’ll always stay, Forever Young…. Even outside of Rob Stewart’s heart, Penny will be young compared to him. The model/photographer Brit is 26 years younger then her rocker beau. https://starfluff.goodeggmediagrou.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Rod-Stewart.jpg 3.Alec Baldwin & Hilaria Thomas Alec is looking slim thanks to his new, young wife. Hilaria is a yoga instructor in Manhattan and twenty-six years younger than her actor counter-part. It could be argued that Alec doesn’t act his age though. In 2011 he was removed from a plane after refusing to stop playing “Words with Friends” on his phone during takeoff. Namaste! https://starfluff.goodeggmediagrou.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/6a00d8341c630a53ef0163039a9c07970d-600wi.jpg 4. Michael Douglas & Catherine Zeta-Jones On September 25th 1969, Michael Douglas was celebrating his 25th birthday, while Patricia & David Jones were celebrating the birth of their daughter– Catherine Zeta-Jones. Thirty years later the two began dating after they met in France and Douglas used the super romantic pick-up line: “I want to father your children”. https://starfluff.goodeggmediagrou.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/michael-douglas-catherine-zeta-jones.jpg 5. Jason Statham and Rosie Huntington-Whitely They have a lot in common –both born in England, both models (Jason was modeling for French Connection when he got his big-break after meeting Guy Ritchie), and both have played star roles in popular films. Although their home country and careers are similar, the timelines are not. Jason is nineteen years older then Rosie and broke into the film industry in 1998 – when Rosie was twelve! https://starfluff.goodeggmediagrou.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Rosie-Huntington-Whiteley-3.jpg 6. George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin The commitment phobe actor Clooney has finally committed to Amal. Clooney is 53 years old, if you flip those numbers; you get his fiancé Amal’s age – 35. She is a fierce barrister from London, so if Clooney gets arrested again (he was arrested outside Sudanese Embassy for civil disobedience while protesting in 2012), he will have the best lawyer in town. https://starfluff.goodeggmediagrou.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/article-2629111-1DBE298E00000578-521_634x431.jpg 7. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon This diva likes her man young! In 2008 Maria married Nick Cannon; a San Diego native born twelve years after Mariah. Let’s just hope Nick’s not a heartbreaker – because we all know Mariah will keep comin’ back incessantly. https://starfluff.goodeggmediagrou.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/mariah-nick-chow-dater.jpg 8. Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris You knew this one was coming! Hugh Hefner has always liked younger woman and why not when you have a house full of them. In 2012, when he was 86, Hugh married Crystal Harris. Crystal was 26 on her wedding day. With a 60 year age difference, I can’t imagine they have a lot in common. Maybe Crystal can help him with talking to his children Marston & Cooper, who are just a few years younger then Crystal! https://starfluff.goodeggmediagrou.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/o-HUGH-HEFNER-CRYSTAL-HARRIS-facebook.jpg 9. Bruce Willis and Emma Heming No hair, no problem for Emma Heming, age 35. She fell hard for the twenty-four years older action hero actor. The couple wed is 2009 and had two children. Let’s hope this union is Unbreakable. https://starfluff.goodeggmediagrou.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/wpid-bruce_emma.heming.jpg So next time you find someone you love, never consider the age. Thanks for your opinion |
The truth about this Bokoharam issue is that some politicians are benefiting from it cos contract are changing hands. Though its a religious issue, but some high profile politician are sabotaging govt efforts and there's a big mole in the govt selling out some info to them. The Federal govt seems to be confused and scared of stepping on toes. Well, God bless and help Nigeria. Good day people. |
According to statistic, Chelsea have been consistent in their recent 10 matches at home. They are in good form and they've been playing attacking football in their last 10 matches cos they played about 7games over 2goals. I see them coming all out just has madrid did. I'm a Man U fan, but I see chelsea triumphant. |
dhammyg: OP THANKS FOR MAKING ME LAUGHIn Steve Wonder's voice " Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you. Happy birthday!!!!! |
