The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has described the Spiritual leader of the Adoration Ministries in Enugu, Rev Fr Mbaka, as a fake Fulani superstitious idol worshipper.

IPOB made the allegation while reacting to Mbaka’s recent comments on the pro-Biafra group.

In a statement by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, IPOB said Mbaka’s ideologies were being controlled by hunger and lack of good education and knowledge on issues.

Referring to the priest as “Usman Mbaka,” the group alleged that priest has many contradictions in his teaching when compared to the Holy Bible.

The statement reads, “From what Usman Mbaka said in his video about IPOB, you would have thought that the same Jesus he worships sells olive oil and pure water in his name, was 1000 years old when he started his ministry that changed the course of human history.

“Every morning and night, this Fulani fake miracle selling superstitious idol worshiper kneel down to ask Jesus that died at the youthful age of 33 for money, protection and even more fools to attend his adoration ground for prayer to the same 33 year old saviour.

“A man that destroyed Nigeria without firing a single bullet is greater than Nigeria, talk less of hungry, poorly educated men that think they are Igbo elites.

“You see, Mbaka does not know the word of God, neither is he educated enough to understand historical events. It is fair to conclude therefore, that Usman Mbaka is not a priest of God. If Mbaka evidentially and demonstrably is not a servant of God, he must therefore a child of Satan and servant of Baal.

“Why didn’t God use Reuben who was the eldest son of Jacob instead of Joseph who is second to the last? Why did God choose baby Moses, even as he was in a basket to lead his people out of Egypt instead of Moses’ father or another elder from the Hebrew community in Goshen Egypt? Why didn’t God choose one of the elders of Israel to lead the assault on the land Canaan but instead chose Joshua?

“Why did God choose Samuel instead of the older more established priests from the house of Levi to serve in his temple instead of the boy Samuel?

“Why did God anoint and make a young David king over Israel when there were ‘elites’ and men of the law he could have chosen a king from? Why was Jesus the son of a carpenter, at the very tender age of 11 preach against the doctrine and hypocrisy of the all powerful Pharisees and Sadducees or the corruption of the Sanhedrin?

IPOB noted that the world knows only Jesus not the high priest of the temple or anyone from Sanhedrin.

The group maintained that the same God has chosen its leader, Nnamdi Kanu and not anybody from Ohaneze Ndigbo, South-East or South South Governors Forum or so called elites to lead the struggle for secession.

The statement reads further, “On a temporal note, the greatest general in recorded history is Alexander the Great of Macedonian. Guess what, he conquered all the known world before the age of 30 which to Usman Mbaka is too young and age to be considered an elite.

“To him an Igbo elite is a corrupt disease ridden inconsequential Igbo homosexual trading his body for political favours from one Hausa Fulani town to another.

“This is the type of God forsaken cowards and people Usman Mbaka want to lead the resurgent Biafran agitation. The same old men that did nothing about Igbo presidency until IPOB came along, they did not build second Niger Bridge, they did not build Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, neither did they use their elitism to build Onitsha-Enugu Expressway either.

“The question Usman Mbaka must answer is, what has any of the men he is proposing should lead IPOB done for Biafra? Why didn’t these ‘elites’ as he calls them rise up and agitate for Biafra before Nnamdi Kanu came, that is, before God determined that Nnamdi Kanu should come; who stopped them? Nnamdi Kanu, Uche Mefor, Clifford Iroanya, Emma Nmezu, Nnennaya Anya, Ikenna Nwanonenyi, Chika Edoziem, Uchenna Asiegbu and many others are more educated, sophisticated, patriotic and more enlightened than all the Igbo elites put together.”

There was outrage at the Benue State Police Command on Tuesday as some participants of a Ponzi Scheme stormed the station to lay ‘formal’ complaints.

The participants were reportedly defrauded by one Philemon Ibrahim, who is a guider of Ponzi scheme, Global Funds International.

Ibrahim was arrested at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, the alleged venue of the illicit money doubling scam.

He is currently being interrogated by the police after several complaints.

A widow, Mrs. Dauda Maiduguri, told Channels Television how she was defrauded N2.9 million by the suspect.

She said, “I and my siblings and some other members of my family invested N2.9m into the cash flow account and since then, we have lost contact with him.”

Another victim, Samuel Shika narrates how he lost his entire investment without getting any promised profit.

He said, “We were told if you pay N10, 000, they will give you N20, 000, so I was moved to also get something out of it.

“We are here with the hope of getting our money after a failed Ponzi scheme.”

The alleged suspect however did not deny collecting money from the complainants.

In his narration, he blamed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for freezing his accounts and making his business suffer.

Ibrahim said, “I am not a criminal and I don’t intend to become one until I am proven to be one. Even when I was called by the police, I only needed to be given an opportunity to prove myself…”

The state Commissioner of Police, CP, Bashir Makama, after listening to their complaints, warned against such practices.

He advised Nigerians not to involve themselves in such ‘get rich quick’ means of getting money.

He said, “You can’t sit down in your house and someone will say bring N10, 000 and I give you N20, 000. From where is he getting the extra 10?

“So it is your greed that is leading you to all these. Now you have all converged here, what are you expecting?” he asked rhetorically.

Speaking further, he said, “We cannot do more than we have done here.

“If he cannot pay all of you, he goes to court,” he added.

DAILY POST recalls that Nigerians have been warned against indulging in such money doubling schemes.

The warnings came after Mavrodi Mondial Movement, MMM Nigeria froze accounts of all participants, but resumed operations after one month.

The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, warned Nigerians to be wary of it, insisting it is fraudulent.

Sadly, PHCN also needs the money from the bills to make improvements so that you can have light 24/7.

Indeed one big reason why the DISCOS, GENCOS and TCN cannot guarantee light is because most Nigerians do not pay their light bills at all.

Even the prepaid meter that was supposed to end pay dodgers....people bypass them so that they can get free light.

And as a result...there is no money to buy new equipment, no money to upgrade existing equipment, and no money to even expand the power supply.

Thanks to privatisation, which most Nigerians did not oppose...the onus is even more on us to pay for our light. We cannot refuse to pay for light because they have not given us light at all. That means that there would be no money not only for power infrastructure improvement...but also no money for staff salaries too. And DISCO/GENCO workers are Nigerians like you...who also have bills to pay, and lives to maintain.

We may look at this man who beat up DISCO staff as a hero. We may even encourage more people to go ahead and commit acts of violence against DISCO staff....but remember....the reason why we do not have power is because we refuse to pay our bills.

Am sure the man who beat up the staff would complain if his working place did not give him his salary. He would complain that it prevents him from being an effective worker.Why then do we insist on making power supply inefficient for all....by refusing to pay our bills.

Sorry.....but Ozoigbo Ikenna and people like him ARE the reason why you Nigerian people do not have light.

Please...pay your bills. OK?

Maiduguri, the capital of Borno which had been ravaged by Boko Haram is hosting a rally to celebrate improved security condition being enjoyed by citizens.

DAILY POST gathered that the event has in attendance Major General Leo Irabor, Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole.

Othes are officers and men of the military, government officials, religious leaders, traditional heads, students, groups, traders and residents.

The rally is holding at Ramat Square, Maiduguri.

Meanwhile, Major General Irabor, has disclosed that the Nigerian Military has arrested two prominent politicians and a traditional ruler during a raid in Borno State.

According to him, the trio were among those arrested following intelligence about their alleged link with Boko Haram.

He also confirmed that some of his troops were ambushed by Boko Haram insurgents in the Damboa area, during which a civilian was shot dead and two others critically injured.

Ozoigbo Ikenna, 40, who allegedly assaulted a staff of Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company was on Wednesday arraigned at an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court.

Ikenna, a resident of Williams Eliot St. New Oko-Oba area of Lagos, pleaded not guilty to a two-count of assault and breach of peace levelled against him.

The prosecutor, Cpl. Ishola Samuel, told the court that the accused beat up Ms Enyi Eunice while on lawful duty January 20, at the accused residence.

Samuel said that the complainant was performing her official duties by sharing electricity bills, when she was assaulted by the accused in his compound.

He said, “The accused, locked the entrance gate, deprived her of going outside and beat up the complainant for bringing an electricity bill without a constant light.”

He said that Ikenna confronted Eunice about the bill, and she got a beating from the accused and was left with a black eye.

According to him, the case was reported to the police and Ikenna was subsequently arrested.

He said that the offences contravened Sections 171 and 166 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

Section 171 prescribes a three-year jail term for assault and harm.

Following the plea of the accused, the Magistrate, Mr A.R. Onilogbo, granted him bail in the sum of N10,000, with two sureties in like sum.

Onilogbo said that the sureties must be gainfully employed and must show evidence of two years’ tax payment to the Lagos State Government.

The magistrate adjourned the case till Feb. 22, 2017 for mention.
