Christianity Etc › APC Will Rule Nigeria Beyond 2019, Says Guru Maharaj Ji by DONSMITH123(op): 11:11am On Nov 18, 2016 |
Satguru Maharaj ji, the Founder of the One Love Family, says the All Progressives Congress will rule Nigeria beyond 2019 in spite of the acrimony in the party.
The sect leader said this in Ibadan on Friday at a press conference to mark the 36th anniversary of the group.
He said what the ruling APC needed to do was to ensure that those who defected from the PDP to the party were monitored to ensure that they do not tarnish the good intention of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Maharaj ji also said the defection of some PDP members to APC was to escape prosecution for offences with which they had been charged.
The sect leader said Nigeria was in need of leaders like Buhari in order to create a new country to be proud of.
He further urged the APC to work for the suspension of any minister or lawmaker under probe for acts of corruption until cleared.
“If this is complied with, APC will stand by the name of Maharaj ji.
“I will make sure I support the party so that Nigeria would be free to enjoy the dividends of democracy.
“Those that steal Nigeria’s money cannot escape; they would be fished out and forced to return every kobo they have stolen.
“I recommend to the Federal Government to give one per cent of any loot recovered to any Nigerian who is able to offer fruitful information on such hidden money.
“This would assist in the speedy recovery of stolen money and create a new image for Nigeria to the outside world.
“Presently, the whole world looks at Nigeria as a country that encourages corruption,’’ Maharaj ji said.
Reacting to Donald Trump’s victory as U.S President-elect, the sect leader said the new administration would bring greater benefits to Africa and the global community.
According to him, Trump is a wise man, judging from his plans to tackle illegal migration and terrorism. (NAN) http://punchng.com/apc-will-rule-nigeria-beyond-2019-says-guru-maharaj-ji/

Olalekan Adetayo, Abuja President Muhammadu Buhari has lamented that some Nigerians who had corruptly enriched themselves in the past are currently using the stolen funds to wage war against his administration.
He said the situation has made his administration’s ongoing anti-corruption war “tough and grueling.”
According to a statement on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, the President spoke on Thursday in a meeting he had with the United States Secretary of State, John Kerry, on the margins of conference on climate change, COP22, in Marrakech, Morocco,
Although he said corruption was fighting vigorously back, the President assured Kerry that the anti-graft war would be won.
Buhari said corrupt people had accumulated a formidable arsenal of illicit wealth, which they were now deploying against the government on diverse fronts.
“But it is a war we are determined to win, and which we will win. People of goodwill are behind us, countries like America and many others are with us, and we will surely win,” he said. http://punchng.com/corrupt-nigerians-fighting-stolen-wealth-buhari-laments/

Christianity Etc › BREAKING: Kidnapped Methodist Priest Regains Freedom by DONSMITH123(op): 4:23pm On Nov 16, 2016 |
Olufemi Atoyebi, IbadanThe Methodist priest that was kidnapped on his farm at Kufi area, along Olounda-Aba road, Ibadan, on Thursday has regained freedom after five days in the kidnappers’ den. Diocesan Bishop of the Methodist Cathedral, Ibadan, Rt. Rev. Amos Ajiboye, said Rev. Dr. Biodun Ogunbekun was released on Tuesday but he did not give details of how he was released or how the kidnappers contacted the church and the priest’s family. He said, “Our priest was released to us on Tuesday. We are grateful to God and all those that made it possible. We shall be making further statement in due time. He is resting after what he had gone through in the hands of his abductors.” It was not clear if a ransom was paid to secure the release of the priest who is attached to Akobo-Ojurin branch of the church in Ibadan. But a source who pleaded anonymity said the kidnappers demanded for N10m from the family and the church before he could be released. On the day he was kidnapped, Ogunbekun was in the farm with two of his staff. The bishop said, “We were told that the kidnappers did not come with any vehicle or motorcycle. They tried to take the man of God away in his truck but they could not for some reason. They then decided to take him away on foot.” Cc: lalasticlala http://punchng.com/breaking-kidnapped-methodist-priest-regains-freedom/
