United's game so far this year has been based on strong defence.

In his 20 appearances in all competitions so far, Martial's contribution of just 6 goals have mostly been in games where United was already leading...or those that united ended up losing.

Calling him the best player in the team ahead of players like DDG, Smalling, Bastian, Mata who have actually singlehandedly won points for Manyoo is the reason why I must keep shooting down this fantastic myth before it grows wings.

Calling Martial the best striker at Manyoo is not even saying much...considering that he is the only striker at Old Trafford, especially with Rooney looking more and more like a lost fan who took a wrong turn on his way to toilet and found the pitch instead.

Surely the news that Lukaku is now being linked to the club is enough evidence that there is a belief that Martial cannot actually be relied on to lead the line...his replacement is only 2 years older too

How would we know? CF is not the problem, the problem is behind the CF, our build up play is effing poor, strikers don't really start it, they end up finishing it, get productive wingers and midfielders and see weda martial no go dey score goals like kolo

The only reason why i'll support the purchase of lukaku is because of the lack of strikers we have and to also lift the weight off the young boy's shoulders

Football is not by age, some players are late bloomers while some start fading so early (Rooney). I didn't see comparisons between Rooney & van Nistelrooy when he came out guns blazing.

As it stands now, Martial is man united's best and most talented player, and this is someone that just started playing in a league very new to him


When he has impotent players behind him, you don't expect him to score many goals, put martial in a team like arsenal or man city and see if he won't reach double figures, for a club like united to be dependent on a 20 year old who has no experience whatsoever in the EPL, shows that the boy is super talented and his team-mates are just not helping him

I watched the game in a peppersoup joint and didn't really watch the analysis on SKy...however from the replays I could see that it was offside.

Just as I could see that the ball that hit Simon Francis's hand should have been a pen.

quite a few papers have reported today about the goal having a 'whiff' or 'heavy smell' of offside...which is particularly annoying because its the same papers that ridicule Jose for claiming, and quite rightly too, that there seems to be a campaign against Chelsea.

All these calls that are not getting given this season are shocking. Glen Murray pulled an Ashley Barnes on Matic and didn't even get a card...

What really irked me is the very direct and personal nature of bigkesh's accusation, as if it is Nihilist that is doing jazz against RLC's success.

That game on the weekend suffered from finishing if anything. We weren't too good but Bournemouth were abysmal. Yes our passing in midfield was sloppy at times, but Bournemouth's goal was offside. We had 63% possesion but their keeper was the Man of the Match!

So for someone to throw sub at me...especially untop RLC matter was very annoying to me
