Few weeks ago, there were massive riots in Brazil because of the outcome of their elections. Every election we have conducted in Nigeria have always been contested by the losing parties, except for 2015. |

Philgafauto: Black man and fellow Nigerian, know this and know peace that there is no GOD.
Tinubu has proved himself to be more powerful than your so called God by gaming and cheating and all these prophecies that he won’t be President is a lie.
I supported Donald Trump and I was hurt when the democrats cheated him out and I was believing in prophecies that one God will stop the inauguration of the fool Joseph Biden. The so called God did not help Donald Trump’s supporters and no God will help Obidients. In this case, Tinubu is God because he has defeated the institutions in Nigeria.
I was born a Christian but I don’t go to church again because there is no God. Nigeria is now an Islamic country because Muslims are more serious than the so called Christians. All your GOs are criminals who have adopted mercantile Pentecostalism and have forgotten about the Christian values of the founding fathers of the United States which is primarily that a Christian family must depend or rely on a Bible, a gun, and strong national institutions.
All the men of God running churches in Nigeria are frauds who have fooled Nigerians for years and now we are about to be an Islamic state. Even though religion is an opium and there’s no God, I feel Muslims understand political control more than Christians. They don’t rely on just God. They also kill to advance their interest.
So called Christians need to reevaluate their values and stop depending on any sky daddy and take their own future in their hands. And always remember the American brand of Christianity: The Bible, Guns, education, and strong national institutions.
Bleep any sky daddy because it doesn’t exist!!! Second stage of grieve. I hope you have your loved ones around you. |
Politics › Re: Non of the Candidates Has Met The Requirements To Be Declared Winner by DoTheNeedful: 1:01am On Mar 01, 2023 |
LocalStandard1: I don't know if the post about Falana saying 25% in the FCT is not a requirement is true but if it is then someone needs to go back to school real fast and immediately.
The law says a candidate will be said to win "if they get 25 percent in two third of the States and the FCT.
"two third of 36 is equivalent to 24 states." But the FCT is mandatory cause it is not a State, it was never a State but a federal government territory. The and word is not an optional word but a mandatory additional "conjunction"(note the keyword). "Father and Mother, not Father or mother.
If the law says something most happen in all 36 States and the FCT, it simply means the FCT is mandatory, not an option. Same as 24 states and the FCT. If I say "bring me 24 apples and the green one", you do not bring 30 apples and say the extra numbers substitute the green one. You don't! This is law, it's also simple English. And English and the law doesn't bend over night to suit one person, I think.
The real question is who goes to run-off now that all the candidates have fallen short of the lawful requirements, yet all three have still met two of three requirements? The court might determine this. There are a lot of arguments and counter arguments on this matter. However, if the election goes to a run-off, it's going to be between Atiku and Tinubu, based on the provisions of the constitution. |
Politics › Re: Previous FCT Election Results And Why 25% Is A Must . by DoTheNeedful: 10:39pm On Feb 28, 2023 |
NothingDoMe: Shopping for victory like Hope Uzodinma? lol. That's on a lighter note.
You don't need to accept the results to either challenge the FCT requirement or the electoral malpractice by INEC themselves. lol. You need to. This argument about the FCT is due to APC's poor performance in Abuja. It was never an argument few days ago, and even in previous presidential elections. |
Politics › Re: Previous FCT Election Results And Why 25% Is A Must . by DoTheNeedful: 10:22pm On Feb 28, 2023 |
travelled: These is a picture history of the FCT election results from 2011.
All declared candidates won 25% of the FCT as shown . Even the runner up won too. Some of you are just shopping for victory through every means possible. It is you that would say the election was rigged and should be cancelled. At the same time, you will be the one to say 25% is required in FCT to declare a winner. To make the argument for 25% in FCT, at least, you must first accept the results of the election. |

OfficialAPCNig: I think he needs 25% in Abuja. Festus Okoye explained that last year and Mike Igini mentioned it again last week According to what I read on Dailytrust, he doesn't need Abuja. The constitution states 2/3 of 36 states + FCT. The interpretation I read was that you need 2/3 in 25 states, and not necessarily 2/3 in 24 states + FCT. In this regard, FCT is considered a state. In any case, he is not doing too poorly based on results obtained so far in FCT. |
Politics › Re: Peter Obi Wins Edo State, Tinubu Comes Second by DoTheNeedful: 11:02pm On Feb 27, 2023 |
OfficialAPCNig: Tinubu didn't get 25%
Over 600,000 votes were casted and Tinubu got less than 150k votes. He also got less than 25% of valid votes.
Tinubu needs 25% of votes in FCT to win I don't think he needs FCT. There are only 2 states in the North where APC is not guaranteed of 25%: Plateau and Taraba. APC is fine in other 17 Northern states. APC has more than 25% in Akwa Ibom, and he did well in 6 Southwestern states. He's likely to get 25% in Rivers and Bayelsa too. |

Asgard31: Tinubu got his margin from his strong base ..
More like home ..
Let him replicate it When we reach northeast..
Sout south
Southeast
Even north central
States are bag.. that’s the most important .. numbers will always come …
25% will always come .. must
Tinubu all votes presently according to inec is above 850k
Atiku is following hot hot with 550k
A difference of a bit over 300k
Wake up Atiku might win more states but Tinubu will win the election. You guys are focusing on the states won, you are not looking at the margin. In Kano, Tinubu is leading Atiku by 377K, even though he's second to Kwakwanso there. That 377k alone is enough to counter Atiku's victory in Katsina, Gombe and possibly Bauchi. Some of you seem to be poor with math. |

mcjohny: forget Kano bro APC were really bad her it was Nnpp giving PDP bloody nose, who even send APC Some of you are too emotional in your analysis. Yes, NNPP is doing well in Kano. Have you bothered to compare APC votes with PDP's in Kano. APC is consistently second to NNPP but significantly doing better than PDP by around ratio 10:1. Go check! NNPP is not really a threat to APC. PDP is the only threat to APC in this election. |

GentleChief: Obi that won the whole South East and South South?
And has sent so many now to Senate and House of Reps?
Should retire for Kano President?
Do you know The likes of Orji Kalu, TA Orji, Okorocha, Enugu Governor are not going back to the senate because of Obi?
And he should deputize a mallam from Kano?
If Obi agreed to deputize Kano President, do you think people would have voted for him? Why are you thinking like a Northern slave? Why can't Kwankwanso deputize Obi. As it stands, Obi is having more votes than Kwankwanso overall. Why must people like you always make a Southerner a second fiddle to a Northerner even if the Northerner is a paper weight. The power of a president is enormous and a VP has no real power. You want a Southerner to come to the table with 6 million votes and be doing "yes sir" to a Northerner that brought 2 million? Please rid yourself of slave mentality. |
