Kazim88:It is there sir. Go check under "LIVE: Nigerian elects new leaders". Dailytrust is doing live updates from collation centers. I am too old to be posting fake results here, I have been attacking people for doing so. EDIT: it's Vanguard. https://www.24live.co/live/U8owp?n=3259464071512492936 https://www.vanguardngr.com/2023/02/live-updates-presidential-and-national-assembly-elections/ |
naijapips04:So Tambuwal doesn't count right? Besides, why give a Northerner a presidential ticket, when the bulk of the party's votes are expected from the South? We should stop being slaves? |
naijapips04:Power of incumbency? Sokoto is being governed by PDP. Your point of view is the reason why the North is cheating the South. You want to make a Northerner a president with Southern votes. If Atiku was worth the ticket, he should have done better in the North. Buhari got a lot of votes in the North and added fewer votes from the South. If the bulk of the votes would be coming from the South, let a Southerner be the presidential candidate. |
naijapips04:Let's wait till then. I am surprised that Atiku is doing poorly in Sokoto against a Southerner. Why then did PDP give him the ticket? https://dailytrust.com/ |

naijapips04:You are not making any sense at all. Your perspective would have made sense if Obi was performing very poorly but taking away crucial votes from Atiku. In the current situation, Atiku is not doing excellent in the North. Obi is getting bulk votes from many local governments in Adamawa where Atiku is from. I want to believe the reason PDP gave Atiku their ticket to the chagrin of the G-5 was because they thought Atiku would deliver the North massively. However, that's not currently the case. |
naijapips04:Atiku should not have contested. If PDP had given Obi the ticket, he would have performed better than Atiku. I doubt if Atiku would have performed as much as Obi is currently doing if Atiku was running under LP. We need to stop worshipping these Northerners. |
naijapips04:You sound like a Fulani slave. If Tinubu wins, Atiku should be the one to be thanked for making Tinubu president. As it stands, Obi is performing far better than Atiku. If Obi finishes ahead of Atiku, then I can claim that he is bigger than Atiku politically. We need to stop mystifying Atiku because he's a Northerner. |
aninibinladen:Why not post a credible source? Based on the figures I am seeing on Dailytrust, Ortom is doing well. Obi is doing very well too. |

smokinloud:He should be fine with just 35-40 %. Atiku did poorly in the South. |
highchief1:Fake sir. It is better you rely on news coming from DailyTrust, Punch, Guardian and the likes. DailyTrust is the most prominent news outlet in the North, and Atiku for now, is not doing spectacularly well going by the results I have seen on DailyTrust. |
Fake news! You guys should stop post twitter links or screenshots of obviously partisan people. At this time, you can get more credible news from news outlets. For information about Northern elections, you could visit dailytrust. https://dailytrust.com/ By the way, Tinubu is not doing as bad as some of you are trying to project in the North. In fact, I am disappointed in Atiku for now. Things might change tomorrow though. |
olgaa14:Tinubu is not doing as bad in the North as I thought. Going by all the results I saw on DailyTrust so far, it's hard to tell who is ahead among Tinubu, Atiku and Kwankwanso in the NW. Beside, I want to believe you are an Obi supporter. It helps Obi if Tinubu doesn't do too bad in the North. |
Ekakamba:Results are actually coming out from the North. The issue is that nairaland is dominated by Southerners, and most of the results they are posting are from the South. If you are interested in Northern votes, go check DailyTrust newspaper. I have seen some from Katsina, Gombe, Yobe, Kaduna and Kano. |
asanausana91:I will also blame Atiku if Obi loses. You are a shameless 1di0t if you genuinely believe Atiku, a Fulani Muslim, should take over from Buhari, another Fulani Muslim. People like you are the reason this country should never be together. |
In my opinion, this is exactly the reason why Obi will not win. I can almost say "I have seen it all" in Nigerian politics, therefore, an Obi win must include LP winning at least 35 seats in the Senate. If LP cannot win 35 seats in the coming election, Obi will never win. I can bet everything I have in life on this. You can bookmark this if you doubt me, and mock me after the elections. ![]() By the way, I have nothing against Obi. I believe he would be a good president if given a chance. |
okuta007:PDP and APC had grassroot mobilizers in those remote villages. They have local politicians in those villages. There is a lot that goes on in the background in the Nigerian politics. Obi can't do significantly better than the number of NA members LP can win in this election. |
Many of the young Obi supporters would understand Nigerian politics better after Saturday. Some of us that have been following Nigerian politics closely since 1999 can't see a path to victory for Obi. The presidential and national assembly elections are holding the same day. The fact is that Obi winning the election, to a large extent is mutually inclusive of LP having at least a third of the national assembly seats. Go check history. If you believe Obi will win, then you should also believe LP will win around 40 Senatorial and 120 HOR seats. This is not happening. Many of Obi's supporters are modern city dwellers who see Nigeria through their lenses, not realizing that there are millions of illiterate Nigerians littered around rural areas in Nigeria, who many not even be able to read nor identify the Labour Party on the ballot. Whatever the outcome, I know many Nigerians will learn a lot from it and also learn more about Nigeria through it. |
