Power of incumbency? Sokoto is being governed by PDP. Your point of view is the reason why the North is cheating the South. You want to make a Northerner a president with Southern votes. If the bulk of the votes would be coming from the South, let a Southerner be the presidential candidate.

You are not making any sense at all. Your perspective would have made sense if Obi was performing very poorly but taking away crucial votes from Atiku. In the current situation, Atiku is not doing excellent in the North. Obi is getting bulk votes from many local governments in Adamawa where Atiku is from.

I want to believe the reason PDP gave Atiku their ticket to the chagrin of the G-5 was because they thought Atiku would deliver the North massively. However, that's not currently the case.

Results are actually coming out from the North. The issue is that nairaland is dominated by Southerners, and most of the results they are posting are from the South.


If you are interested in Northern votes, go check DailyTrust newspaper. I have seen some from Katsina, Gombe, Yobe, Kaduna and Kano.

I don't have any problem with Obi winning this election. It is either Atiku Abubbakar or peter Obi. I will be very angry with peter Obi if tinubu win. I expected Peter Obi to step down for Atiku so that we can do away with this evil party called APC. At least Atiku who is Obi senior should have been respected and allowed to have the coming 4 years to prepare ground for peter Obi to take over in 2027. But because of greediness or ego I am afraid that tinubu may have a smooth ride to victory since peter Obi and kwankwaso divides Atiku votes.

PDP and APC had grassroot mobilizers in those remote villages. They have local politicians in those villages. There is a lot that goes on in the background in the Nigerian politics.

Obi can't do significantly better than the number of NA members LP can win in this election.

Many of the young Obi supporters would understand Nigerian politics better after Saturday. Some of us that have been following Nigerian politics closely since 1999 can't see a path to victory for Obi.
